New TVS Electric Scooter Design Leaked – Slated Below iQube?

New TVS Electric Scooter Design Leaked
A couple of days ago, TVS Motor Managing Director, Sudarshan Venu confirmed that the company is working to launch TVS X, a new electric scooter and an improved version of iQube in India in FY26. These upcoming vehicles are likely to be global offerings too as one of them has just been patented in Indonesia. Let’s take a look.
    New TVS Electric Scooter Design
In a fresh set of leaks from Indonesia brought to our notice by Dadang Widhaswara, we can see a new TVS product which is likely to be their upcoming electric scooter. TVS Motor Managing Director Sudarshan Venu, has confirmed the launch of a new electric scooter and an improved iQube a couple of days ago. This leaked scooter could be either of them or neither.
New TVS Electric Scooter Design Leaked
Where design is concerned, this new leaked scooter looks like an extension of iQube electric scooter on sale in India. It gets a similar appearance to its horizontal LED DRLs and LED turn indicators as iQube along with sleek rear LED tail lights and turn indicators. However, these horizontal LEDs on this new TVS scooter are much sleeker in comparison.
That’s because actual headlights of this scooter are situated on its front handlebar shroud. There’s a tall windscreen on this scooter. Side body panels are sleek and there is a pronounced element that flows from the side through its floorboards and into its apron. Shape of this element could signify where the batteries of this electric scooter are.
New TVS Electric Scooter Design Leaked
We can also see a hint of a keyhole and what looks like a small glovebox and a charging port. Front wheel is visually larger than rear, which suggests front wheel could be a 14-incher and rear 12-incher. It appears that this scooter has a mid-mounted motor along with dual shock absorbers at the rear. Design and silhouette looks like it is an electric scooter.
    What else could it be?
While the probability of this being TVS Motor’s new electric scooter is high, there is a possibility of this being an ICE scooter for global markets and even potentially for India. In many countries, TVS offers moto scooters with large wheels like TVS Dazz 110 sold in Indonesia. This could be a successor to that or a new model altogether.
New TVS Electric Scooter Design Leaked
This particular design patent does not confirm whether it is an ICE or an electric scooter. Thus lending us the benefit of the doubt. Overall design is youthful with split rear grab rail, a tail tidy and a windscreen that suggests long-distance touring which is ICE territory and not an EV’s forte. If TVS considers launching it in India, it could be positioned above Ntorq 125 and offer sporty 14-inch wheels to keep Xoom 125 in check.

MoM sales however, suffered a de-growth by 2.02% when compared to 16,86,774 units sold in April 2025. Dealers attributed this significant growth in the two-wheeler segment to a strong monsoon, a robust Rabi harvest, and auspicious marriage dates throughout May 2025. Royal Enfield in 6th place accounted for 76,608 unit sales which was a growth over 64,577 units sold in May 2024. It was however lower when compared to 80,090 units sold in April 2025.
Yamaha Motor 2W retail sales dipped to 50,388 units last month. This was significantly lower when compared to 54,679 unit sales of May 2024. It related to a volume loss of 4,291 units. Ola Electric sales suffered a steep decline. Sales fell to 18,501 units in May 2025 from 37,389 units sold in May 2024 when the company had ruled the electric two wheeler segment. Market share also fell drastically to 1.12% from 2.43% YoY.
Ather Energy sales improved two fold. Sales went up to 12,856 units in the past month from 6,154 units sold in the same month last year taking market share to 0.78% from 0.40%. Ather Rizta has contributed to this increased growth as sales hits 1 lakh milestone within a year of launch.
Lower down the sale list, but marking tremendous YoY sales growth, was Greaves Electric. The company accounted for retail sales of 4,178 units sold last month. This was a hefty YoY over 1,958 units sold in May 2024. Piaggio and Classic Legends suffered YoY decline in retail demand down to 2,355 units and 1,965 units respectively. There were others on this list that added 11,732 units to total sales, marking a YoY growth from 9,489 units sold in May 2024. More

Ather New Affordable Electric Scooter Headlight Design Patent Leaked

Ather New Affordable Electric Scooter Headlight DesignThere have been a few reports in the recent past suggesting Ather is developing a new low-cost and affordable electric scooter lineup. When launched, this new electric scooter lineup from Ather will be their most affordable one, positioned below the Rizta. New leaked design patents show the headlight design of this upcoming scooter lineup. Let’s take a closer look.
    Ather New Affordable Electric Scooter
Ever since Ather’s inception, the company has kindled the emotions of enthusiasts who want to infuse a sliver of performance into their everyday commutes. Started with 450 X and 450 Plus, Ather has further expanded their lineup to launch 450 S and then their latest offering is a family offering called Rizta.
Now, Ather is expanding the portfolio further and aims to incorporate affordable scooters in the future that will be positioned below Rizta. This product strategy is slightly different than Ather’s current one of offering products that are slightly on the pricey side and then bundle many bells and whistles as part of the optional Pro Pack.
Now, a leaked design patent of what is supposedly the headlight design of Ather’s upcoming cost-effective scooter. The company has titled this leaked part as ‘Front Shroud of a Vehicle’. It looks quite sporty and this sort-of rectangular headlight element is likely to house a single LED projector or twin LED projector setup.
Ather New Affordable Electric Scooter Headlight Design
This lighting setup could host an LED DRL as well, integrated into the headlight setup or engulf it. Overall front shroud has a flat-ish profile and it radiates a modern and sporty appeal. We can see where the handlebars come out of and where it will be bolted on the scooter’s chassis. This will be the first Ather scooter that will pack a headlight on handlebar shroud.
    What to expect?
Considering this will be a low-cost affordable electric scooter, equipment will be less than what we see with 450 S and Rizta. Low-cost LCD instrument cluster, smaller batteries than, less range and less features might be the gameplan for Ather Energy with their newest low-cost electric scooter.
As of now, Ather 450 range starts from Rs 1,29,999 (effective Ex-sh, Bengaluru) for the base 450 S and the Pro Pack is Rs 14,001 more. Even more affordable is Rizta that starts from Rs 1,14,999 (Effective Ex-sh, Bengaluru) and Rs 14,001 extra for Pro Pack. One can expect Ather’s upcoming low-cost electric scooter to be priced below Rs 1 lakh (Effective Ex-sh, Bengaluru) and be based on a new low-cost platform. More

TVS New Electric Scooter and Improved iQube EV Slated For FY26

New TVS Electric ScooterTVS Motor, one of India’s leading 2W and 3W manufacturers, has just spilled the beans on what we can expect from the brand with respect to electric vehicles. Speaking to a media publication, TVS Motor Managing Director, Sudarshan Venu, has just confirmed the pipeline for FY26 and even the traffic in this pipeline. Let’s take a closer look.
    TVS New Electric Scooter
If we look at company’s official website, we can see that the company has commenced retail of TVS X, which was unveiled a long time ago. While it is still not live for sale, a prospective buyer can reserve it. This is one of three electric vehicles TVS Motor has lined up in the pipeline for India for FY26.
Other two electric vehicles include an improved iQube and a new TVS electric scooter, as confirmed by Sudarshan Venu. These are huge developments from TVS as the company is currently India’s reigning electric scooter champion in terms of sales and volume. These upcoming vehicles are likely to consolidate TVS’ position as EV-maker in India.
Details about TVS new electric scooter are completely in wraps right now, but one can speculate that it might be a more affordable offering to take on Ola S1X and upcoming budget offerings like Vida VX2 and more affordable Chetak.
    2025 TVS iQube ST Concept
    Improved iQube
TVS has a reputation of hiding their test mules quite effectively. Improved iQube might adhere to current design language, with a few subtle upgrades to spruce things up. It has to be noted that iQube range of electric scooters were launched in 2020, which is around half a decade ago. An updated design might work in company’s favour.
It might feature more features, a higher range from its 2.2 kWh, 3.5 kWh and 5.3 kWh battery packs with more efficient and streamlined software. Currently, the promised range starts from 94 km with 2.2 kWh battery and goes till 212 km with 5.3 kWh battery pack. We hope improved iQube packs a mid-mounted motor and get rear disc brake with at least a single-channel ABS setup.
Currently, TVS iQube range is offered in three trim levels – iQube, iQube S and iQube ST. Pricing starts from Rs 94,434 and goes till Rs 1.59 lakh (both prices effective Ex-sh, Delhi). We can expect improved iQube to be priced around the same ballpark and TVS new electric scooter to be positioned below iQube. More

Honda CB350 Modified Into A Tourer By Kijima Looks Dope

Honda CB350 Modified into a Tourer by Kijima
Honda’s answer to Royal Enfield Classic 350 was the CB350 (also sold as GB350 C in Japan). This motorcycle captivated the retro classic essence that RE Classic 350 pioneered. Just like Classic 350, Honda CB350 has excellent potential to be modified into different genres to yield different appearances.
That’s exactly what the Japanese motorcycle aftermarket parts provider, Kijima, has done. Taking a standard Honda GB350 C (CB350 in India) and modified it extensively into a tourer bike, without messing up the original design and silhouette. Let’s take a closer look.
    Kijima Modified Honda CB350
Honda CB350 Modified Into A Tourer
At the Tokyo Motorcycle Show 2025, Kijima exhibited a custom motorcycle built on Honda’s CB350 (sold as GB350 C in Japan). While a few modifications alter the very design that the company had envisioned, Kijima’s latest build on CB350 includes functional add-ons that will aid in long distance touring.
Kijima has carved out a touring kit for CB350 which establishes a unique appearance that accentuates Honda’s original design rather than changing it entirely. Also, this touring kit looks like it is of bolt-on type that will not need too many modifications on the stock bike to install this touring friendly kit.
    Kijima Modified Honda CB350
The main highlight that stands out on this modified Honda CB350 are its custom leg shields that are colour matched. We can see a tall windscreen above headlight unit. There’s a wind-cut plate on front fender. All these elements aim at reducing wind blasts to riders. Surprisingly, there are no knuckle guards on this build to offer holistic wind protection.
    Functional and aesthetic upgrades
Being a touring-oriented build, we can see a couple of leather cases attached on the body for various items. To support larger saddle bags, Kijima is offering sturdy bag supports on both sides. There are also a few elements to increase aesthetic appeal including custom Tech12 ORVMs with carbon fibre finish, a custom engine plate with fins and custom fender flap.
    Kijima Modified Honda CB350
Powering the Honda CB350 is the same 348cc single-cylinder air-cooled SOHC 2V/cyl engine that is capable of generating 20,7 bhp of peak power and 29.4 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Features include LED lighting all around, a semi-digital instrument cluster and a slipper clutch. More

Bajaj New Products Incoming In 125cc-160cc Segments – Details

Bajaj Pulsar NS125 – Image for reference onlyIn the 125cc – 200cc segment, Bajaj currently ranks second, powered by its popular Pulsar motorcycles
In its Q4 FY25 financial results, Bajaj Auto reported revenue of Rs 12,148 crore in January-March 2025. Profit earned is at Rs 2,049 crore, with the margin at 20.2%. Bajaj Auto has also outlined its future goals and strategies, which strongly revolve around the sporty 125cc segment and sporty 150cc to 160cc segments. Let’s take a look.
Focus on 125cc-plus and 150cc-160cc-plus segments
Bajaj has always kept a strong focus on the 125cc motorcycle segment, as this contributes more than 40% to the company’s overall sales. Most of it is contributed by the Pulsar N125, NS125 and Pulsar 125. Another big chunk, around 22%, comes from 150cc and 160cc-plus bikes. Offerings in this space include Pulsar 150, N150, N160, NS160, Pulsar NS200 and RS200.
Talking about the company’s growth strategy in these crucial segments, Rakesh Sharma, Executive Director at Bajaj Auto, provided some useful insights. It is expected that the 125cc-plus motorcycle segment will grow in the range of 8% to 12% in FY26. This segment has historically shown a higher growth rate in comparison to the overall industry growth rate. Bajaj will be looking to increase its market share in this space.
In the 125cc-plus segment, Bajaj currently trails the market leader (Honda) by around 5-6 percentage points. However, Bajaj has a huge lead of up to 50% over the brands ranked third and fourth. Sharma mentioned that the 125cc-plus segment has been witnessing strong growth after Covid period and regulatory updates.
    Bajaj Sales Breakup April 2025
In FY21, Bajaj Auto’s market share in the 125cc-plus segment was around 20%. By FY24, Bajaj noted an increase in market share at around 25.5%. Due to some headwinds, market share came down to 24% in FY25. However, growth projections for 125cc segment are quite strong.
Bajaj new product launches in FY26
Bajaj takes even small dips seriously and is looking to boost its market share in the 125cc-plus motorcycle segment. It will come via introduction of new products in the Pulsar portfolio. Bajaj also has plans to launch a new entry-level 125cc motorcycle. However, exact details of these new product launches have not been revealed. The company is confident that it will be able to reduce the sales gap with the market leader in the 125cc-plus segment in FY26.
    Plans for KTM, Chetak
Bajaj has also talked about its strategies for KTM and EV business. Starting with KTM, the two main goals are to reduce debt and acquire majority control. The latter seems a bit more complex, since it will require regulatory approvals in India and overseas as well. Only when these clearances are obtained, Bajaj will be able to start work on KTM’s turnaround.
2025 KTM RC 200 Updated – Metallic Grey Colourway
In the electric 2-wheeler segment, Chetak has registered major gains, with market share growing from 13% in Q4 FY24 to 25% in Q4 FY25. Chetak emerged as the top electric two-wheeler brand in the country in Q4 FY25. In April 2025, Chetak contributed 10.69% to overall sales, making it the 3rd bestselling Bajaj two-wheeler brand.
Bajaj has introduced new Chetak variants at regular intervals, the most recent being the Chetak 3503. More new variants are planned to strengthen Bajaj Auto’s EV portfolio. The company is also working to increase Chetak experience centres and sales outlets across the country.
