Royal Enfield Scrambler Electric Bike Spied In Ladakh

Royal Enfield Scrambler Electric SpiedThe iconic motorcycle manufacturer, Royal Enfield, has been stepping up its game in electric motorcycle segment. After Himalayan Electric and Himalayan 750 test mules, both Flying Flea C6 and S6 have been spied during altitude testing. With these latest spy shots, let’s take a closer look at Flying Flea S6, which is the Scrambler version of this bike.
Flying Flea S6 Scrambler – Royal Enfield Scrambler Electric
Royal Enfield has been taking significant steps towards the realm of electric motorcycles. Known for its nostalgic design and thump of its long-stroke engines, Royal Enfield is working on an electric version of Himalayan and then an entirely new range of urban electric bikes called Flying Flea.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6 Scrambler
Flying Flea S6 is a Scrambler style motorcycle while Flying Flea C6 is more of a neo-retro style machine. Both these machines made their global debut at 2024 EICMA Show and are slated to launch in 2026. Both machines are positioned on Royal Enfield’s upcoming L Platform, which will spawn lightweight urban electric bikes.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6 Scrambler
When compared to C6, Flying Flea S6 Scrambler bears similar design and body panels. The main differences can be seen in terms of components as S6 ditches Girder forks in favour of USD telescopic front forks. Front mudguard is also high-set and it gets wire-spoke wheels wrapped with dual-sport tyres with block pattern. Both C6 and S6 gets rear mono-shock suspension.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6 Scrambler
    What to expect?
These spy shots suggest that Flying Flea S6 Scrambler is close to production-spec version, which was not the case with Himalayan Electric. We can see a lot of use of aluminium in S6 and C6 in their mainframe, subframe, swingarm, rear grab rails, heel plates and many other. This particular test mule had a split pillion seat too, wrapped with Brown seat cover.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6 Scrambler
Strapped to pillion seat was a AC charging cable with a high-viz Orange shade. Final version will likely get a more polished provision for storing the charging cable. Where features are concerned, Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6 seems to get the same Tripper Dash instrument cluster with Google Maps support along with snazzy-looking switchgear. So, no touchscreen.
Royal Enfield Flying Flea S6 Scrambler
We can also see a button on fuel tank (not really a fuel tank), which could be a Start/Stop button. This suggests keyless go feature, which is a first for any Royal Enfield. Powertrain details are not known yet and are likely to be revealed in the coming months. An exact launch timeline is not known yet. But 2026 is the speculated year when we can get our hands on one. Kia Carens Clavis Electric SpiedIt is expected that Kia Carens Clavis EV will borrow powertrain options from Hyundai Creta Electric, offering a range of around 400-450 km
As part of its long-term strategy for India, Kia is aiming to build its mass-market EV portfolio. The current offerings, EV6 and EV9, are imported as CBUs. For the mainstream segment, Kia’s first electric offering will be the Carens Clavis EV. Let’s discuss some new details, as revealed in the latest spy shots shared by automotive enthusiast Manuraj.
Kia Carens Clavis EV – Key features
In addition to being Kia’s first mass-market EV in India, Carens Clavis EV will also be India’s first mass-market 7-seater electric MPV. This will allow Kia to take full control, dominate this space and establish an early lead. Visually, Clavis EV will be largely the same as the recently launched Kia Carens Clavis. However, there will be EV-specific distinctive features such as a front-mounted charging port and EV badging.
    Kia Carens Clavis Electric Spied
Test vehicles have hinted at the possibility that the primary lighting setup will be the same as Carens Clavis. It includes the Ice Cube MFR LED headlamps and Star Map LED DRLs with integrated turn signals. But Clavis EV will be getting some additional features such as a full-width LED element connecting the DRLs at front. Side profile looks largely the same, although Clavis EV can be seen with aero-optimized alloy wheels.
Equipment list for Clavis EV will be largely the same as seen with the ICE Clavis. Some of the key highlights include dual 12.3-inch displays, 8-speaker Bose audio system, panoramic sunroof and ventilated front seats. Also, powered driver’s seat, 64-colour ambient lighting, wireless charging, one-touch electric tumble seats and air purifier. Safety kit will include Level 2 ADAS with over 20 features.
    Kia Carens Clavis Electric Spied
Carens Clavis EV – Performance, range
In a bid to reduce development costs, Kia may equip the Carens Clavis EV with the same powertrain used in the Hyundai Creta Electric. The latter is offered with two battery pack options of 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh. Certified range is 390 km with the smaller battery pack and 473 km with the larger unit (as per MIDC Part 1 + Part 2 Cycle). Both variants have a front-axle mounted electric motor, generating 135 PS and 171 PS, respectively.
    Kia Carens Clavis EV Spotted
Similar specifications are expected with the Carens Clavis EV. However, range could be lower for Clavis EV due to its heavier profile. Focus will be on ensuring a smooth performance and family-oriented driving. Some EV-specific features are expected with the Clavis EV such as vehicle-to-load (V2L) and vehicle-to-vehicle charging (V2V).
Kia Carens Clavis EV launch date
Kia is expected to launch the Carens Clavis EV in July 2025. Prices could start at around Rs 16-18 lakh. Top variants could be priced at around Rs 23-24 lakh. Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 and HIM-E Electric ADV Conquer Khardung La

Himalayan 750 and Himalayan Electric TeasedRoyal Enfield has been testing two new ADVs for India and aims to extend them to global markets. Both are likely to be launched under the Himalayan umbrella, but are starkly opposite to each other where powertrains are concerned. That’s because one is a petrol-powered offering and the other is an electric vehicle.
Of course we’re talking about upcoming Himalayan 750 and Himalayan Electric (showcased as HIM-E at 2023 EICMA) that have been spotted testing before. Now, Royal Enfield has officially teased both these motorcycles at the same time with an amazing backdrop of the Himalayan mountain range at Khardung La pass in Ladakh.
Himalayan 750 and Himalayan Electric Teased
    Himalayan 750 and HIM-E Teased
For the first time, Royal Enfield has officially teased their upcoming ADV projects on their social media platform. Both the Himalayan 750 and Himalayan Electric (both names not confirmed) seen in these pictures are still not finalized for production. Himalayan 750 looks close to production while Himalayan Electric looks like it is still in prototype phase.
Himalayan 750 test mules have been spied multiple times both in India and abroad, while Himalayan Electric test mules were spied only a couple of days ago outside a hotel in Ladakh. Royal Enfield is testing both these vehicles in the Himalayan range in off-road terrains. In Royal Enfield’s pictures we can see both of them making it to Khardung La pass in Ladakh.
    Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 Teased
Royal Enfield wrote “Out with the team in the Himalayas doing what we love the most!” in the caption. Interestingly, Royal Enfield used multiple hashtags in this caption, but did not reveal names of these products. #RidePure and #PureMotorcycling were used among others, which are likely to be marketing slogans for Himalayan Electric.
    What to expect?
The team is testing performance of Himalayan 750 and Himalayan Electric in high altitude terrains. Both test mules donned temporary Red registration plates from Tamil Nadu state. Only the Himalayan 750 had dual disc brake setup, which hints at a higher performance ceiling than what is offered with 650cc engine.
    Royal Enfield Himalayan Electric Teased
Himalayan 750 is more of an adventure tourer laying emphasis on both off-roading and high speed touring. In that regard, it gets what looks like 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels wrapped with dual sport tyres, long travel USD telescopic front forks and rear mono-shock, an upswept exhaust and a tall windscreen.
In comparison, Himalayan Electric looks like it packs quite a lot of non finalized equipment from premium aftermarket parts providers. It is likely to offer a similar performance ceiling as Himalayan 450 and could be positioned with a premium price tag. More details will unravel in the future. More

Tata Harrier EV Top Speed 180 Kmph – Kerb Weight 2,336 Kgs

Tata Harrier EVWith the launch of Harrier EV, Tata Motors has evolved into a new space where Mahindra XEV 9e has been operating. While Harrier EV is undercutting XEV 9e with base prices, top-spec variant prices are still under wraps. Now, the company has revealed some crucial specs of Harrier EV that were not disclosed before. Let’s take a closer look.
    Tata Harrier EV Top Speed
The Indian automotive fraternity has been asking one question about Harrier EV since launch. That question is regarding Harrier EV’s total system output, which remains unanswered. What has been revealed, are some performance metrics other than the already revealed 0-100 sprint along with kerb weight info.
    Tata Harrier EV
For starters, Harrier EV is powered by a 65 kWh or a 75 kWh battery pack option. Where kerb weight is concerned, RWD variants could weigh up to 2,235 kg and QWD variants could weigh up to 2,336 kg. When compared to the ICE version, Harrier EV RWD can be around 300 kg heavier and QWD can be around 400 kg heavier, depending on variants.
Unlike its ICE counterpart, Harrier EV is RWD as standard with a single electric motor and higher variants get a dual motor layout, one powering each axle, with what the company calls QWD (Quad Wheel Drive) for off-road capabilities. RWD variants offers 238 PS of peak power and QWD variants get an additional 158 PS front motor with a total system torque output of 504 Nm.
    Tata Harrier EV Off-Road
    What’s the top speed?
Total system power output is still under wraps and you can’t just add front and rear power numbers and arrive at ~400 PS mark. Now, top speed of Harrier EV has been revealed to be 180 km/h with an electronic speed limit. Unleashed, Harrier EV might probably go over 200 km/h, which the arch rival Mahindra XEV 9e does as well.
With the launch of Harrier EV, Tata Motors has been incorporating a lot of features and creature comforts that were never offered with any Tata vehicle before. Some of these include an electronic IRVM with DVR, Digital Key with NFC key card, self park function along with summon mode, Samsung NEO QLED infotainment screen and more.
    Tata Harrier EV Off-Road Features
There’s also underbody cameras that allow for what Tata calls 540-degree view, Boss Mode which is now electrically controlled, improved Terrain Response Modes, Ultraglide fully independent suspension at all four corners with frequency dependent dampers and more.
Where pricing is concerned, Harrier EV comes out as more affordable than its ICE counterpart as it starts from Adventure trim onwards. Harrier Adventure Diesel AT is around Rs 1 lakh pricier than base Harrier EV Adventure, which is staggering achievement. More

Maurti eVitara Production Target Reduced To 8,200 From 26,500 – Here’s Why

Maruti eVitara Electric SUVMaruti Suzuki has been working on its maiden electric vehicle, the eVitara for a long time. Now that it is slated to launch and go into mass production at their Gujarat plant, the company is facing hurdles to meet the supply of rare earth minerals. That is due to the recent developments from China as it curbs export of a few rare earth minerals.
These developments from Dragonland have struck fears of production stoppages across the world. China’s actions are expected to create disruptions in current supply chains established across the world as these rare earth minerals are crucial in making magnets and other components in the tech industry.
    Maurti eVitara Production Reduced
As per initial estimates, Maruti Suzuki had aimed to manufacture 26,512 units of their maiden eVitara electric SUV. However, the production goals have now been reduced to two-thirds of its initial estimation, which is around 8,221 units only. These 8,221 units will be manufactured between April and September, owing to supply constraints.
It has to be noted that some companies in United States of America, Japan and European Union have been able to secure licenses from Beijing and are witnessing easing supplies. Something similar is yet to happen for Indian companies.
    Maruti Suzuki eVitara Interiors
While the company will only manufacture around 8,221 units of the planned 26,512 units between April and September 2025, Maruti Suzuki will reportedly ramp up production at their Gujarat plant post September 2025 and meet or come close to around 67k units production target by the end of March 2026 at the rate of 440 units per day.
58,728 of these units will be manufactured between October 2025 and March 2025, once the production is ramped up considerably. After the launch of Maruti Suzuki eVitara, there will be a Toyota counterpart of this vehicle called Urban Cruiser EV, which will also be manufactured at Maruti’s Gujarat plant.
    Bookings & Launch
Production of eVitara and Urban Cruiser EV is solely dedicated to Maruti Suzuki’s Gujarat plant and it will act as an export hub for markets like Japan and Europe. Bookings for Maruti Suzuki eVitara in India are yet to commence. With the launch of eVitara, Maruti Suzuki is likely to gain significant market share in the lucrative electric vehicle market of India where Tata Motors, Mahindra, Hyundai and MG Motor are currently operating. TVS Apache 450cc and Norton 450cc For India Confirmed – Based On BMW 450cc

Render By Abin DesignsWith new Norton models, TVS will target the premium motorcycle segment across both domestic and international markets including Europe
TVS had acquired the iconic British brand Norton Motorcycles in 2020. After investing heavily in the brand’s revival, the Norton project is ready to take off in a big way. The first of the new Norton bikes are expected to be launched in India by the end of this year. Let’s check out the details.
Norton 1,200cc bike launch confirmed for EICMA
In an interview, TVS Motor Managing Director Sudarshan Venu, provided details about the upcoming Norton motorcycles. The first launch will be a 1,200cc, four-cylinder superbike at EICMA. Three more Norton bikes could also be launched at EICMA or soon after. Overall, a total of six Norton models are planned for launch over the next three years.
BMW F 450 GS Spotted in India
Four of these will be available for sale in select European markets by the summer of 2026. Target markets include the UK, France, Germany, Italy and Spain. Norton bikes in India will be targeted at users from the growing middle class and upper middle-class families. It is likely that exclusive retail outlets will be launched for sale of Norton motorcycles in India.
A similar strategy is also expected for the upcoming 450cc Apache models. However, specific details about the new showrooms have not been provided. Venu said that they will first target the big cities and later expand to other cities. Venu also confirmed that the entire Norton range will be available in India.
    BMW F 450 GS
All upcoming Norton motorcycles are in advanced stages of development. Initially, there are plans to manufacture around 10,000 Norton motorcycles, catering to both India and global markets. To ensure the Norton project progresses smoothly, the leadership team has been strengthened with two executive directors, Nevijo Mance and Richard Arnold. The Norton team has a good mix of engineers and designers. TVS team in India also provides the required support.
    450cc Norton / Apache bikes
Similar to the earlier collaboration with BMW, TVS will manufacture new Apache models based on BMW’s new 450cc engine platform. New Norton 450cc bikes will also share the same platform. TVS will manufacture for all three brands at its facility in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. BMW F 450 GS is expected to be launched first by the end of this year. Norton and Apache models based on the 450cc platform will be launched subsequently.
For its new platform, BMW has used an entirely new twin-cylinder inline engine. It generates 48 hp and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. TVS and Norton versions will have their distinctive styling, although several of the core hardware items will be common.
While the 450cc bikes will be manufactured in India, the more premium Norton motorcycles could see production in both India and the UK. An advantageous factor is that the free trademark agreement between India and the UK makes things a lot easier to manage. For example, components and kits can be easily shipped to the UK in sub-assembled form. Similarly, fully built vehicles can be shipped to India with minimal import duty. More
