New Royal Enfield Himalayan Silver Fully Revealed Ahead Of Launch

    2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan Silver
Apart from new colour options, the updated Royal Enfield Himalayan will be offered with a Tripper Navigation system

Royal Enfield dealers have started accepting unofficial bookings for the updated 2021 Himalayan. The latest iteration of the adventure tourer has already started reaching dealerships across the country and is expected to reach its customers in the next few days.
As per leaked pricing, the updated Himalayan will be available at a starting price of Rs 2.51 lakh (ex-showroom) onwards which is a premium of Rs 20k over its predecessor. Official prices are to be announced on 10th Feb, tomorrow at launch.
Launch of the new Hinalayan was expected last month, however, due to some reasons, it got delayed. Test mules of the adventure bike have been spotted and clicked on multiple occasions in recent past. Latest spy shots are credit to bijit_bk.
    Updated Cosmetics
In the latest iteration of the motorcycle, Royal Enfield has incorporated a handful of cosmetic updates along with new paint scheme options. These new colour options include Pine Green, Granite Black and Mirage Silver.

While some of the earlier options have been included some colour schemes such as Lake Blue, Gravel Grey and Rock Red have been retained in the updated version of the adventure tourer. Along with this, the motorcycle now comes with a new contrasting tan-coloured seat with a high foam density.
It was expected that the bike will get a new headlamp cluster that sports an LED DRL ring around its circumference. But that seems not to be the case in latest spy shots. Another notable update is a taller windshield in order to enhance the bike’s road presence and improved protection from gusting winds.
Other design highlights retained from the previous model are a round headlamp, a sculpted fuel tank, rearview mirrors, sleek turn indicators, a slim tail section and an upswept exhaust. The new model also comes with an updated luggage rack with a flat surface metal plate that ensures a larger space to mount one’s luggage.
2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan Instrument Cluster with Tripper Navigation
    Tripper Navigation
In terms of features, the updated Himalayan gets the all-important Tripper Navigation feature which was first introduced in the recently launched Meteor 350. This new feature is helpful in getting turn-by-turn navigation on long journeys.
It allows riders to connect their smartphones to the system via Bluetooth. The rider is required to enter the destination on the Royal Enfield’s App on the phone and the tripper screen on the instrument cluster will receive all navigation details.
    Mechanical Specifications
Mechanically, it is identical to its outgoing predecessor. It is powered by the same 411cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that pushes out 24.3bhp at 6,500rpm and 32Nm of torque between 4,000rpm – 4,500rpm. This unit is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
Its hardware is also retained from the previous Himalayan. This includes a suspension setup which consists of a 41mm telescopic forks upfront and a monoshock at rear. Anchoring duties are handled by front and rear disc brakes assisted switchable ABS (anti-lock braking system).

2023 Ferrari Purosangue: Everything We Know About the SUV

When Will the Ferrari SUV Come Out?

The Purosangue, or “thoroughbred” if you will, is due to break cover in the first half of 2022. If auto shows ever make a comeback, the Purosangue will likely make its debut at the Geneva show, which is typically scheduled for the middle of March. There are plenty of spy shots of mules running around Ferrari’s global HQ in Maranello, Italy, as well as in frosty climates for cold-weather testing.

We know relatively little about what the Purosangue will look like, but according to a report by the British publication Autocar, the SUV’s design has already been finalized by Ferrari. Mules of the Purosangue that have been captured in spy shots appear to be Maserati Levantes concealing Ferrari running gear. That said, these Purosange test vehicles appear to lack the ground clearance of competitors such as the Urus and Bentayga. It seems Ferrari wants its SUV to out-handle the competition.

What Engine Will the Ferrari Purosangue Use?

Rumor has it the Purosangue will be built on a scalable architecture that can handle a V-6, V-8, or even a V-12. Our money, however, is on Ferrari’s tried and true twin-turbo 3.9-liter V-8 serving as the default setup. This engine powers a number of Ferrari models at the moment—the F8 Tributo, Roma, and Portofino—and can be tuned to produce more than 700 hp. However, we don’t think the Purosangue will be powered by internal combustion alone.

Even though Ferrari went to great lengths to develop a trick all-wheel-drive system (with an independent gearbox on the front axle) for its FF and GTC4Lusso grand tourers, we think the pressure to lower emissions means the Purosangue will offer—if not come standard with—a gasoline-electric hybrid system similar to the setup of the SF90 Stradale. That means two electric motors at the front axle will motivate the front wheels, and power from the engine will be sent to the rear. The result? An all-wheel-drive plug-in hybrid SUV with a Ferrari badge on it. Sacrilege, we know.

Ferrari will no doubt want to keep up with its main rival from Sant’Agata, and it’s safe to assume the Purosangue’s V-8 will have a similar power figure to the Urus’ 641 ponies. However, add in the extra hit of electric power from the electric motors, and the power figure could be in excess of 700 hp. Should it crest the Durango Hellcat’s 710 hp figure, the Purosangue would be the most powerful SUV in the world, and that’s not a bad title for your very first SUV to lay claim to.

How Big Will the Ferrari SUV Be?

We think the Purosangue will be a four-seat SUV that’s similar in size to the Aston Martin DBX and Lamborghini Urus. Expect a wheelbase of just under 120 inches and an overall length of around 195 inches—figures that closely follow those of the Maserati Levante. Ferrari will no doubt want this car to drive like its sports cars. Given that extra size and heft are the antithesis of driving purity, Ferrari likely views keeping the Purosange’s size and heft to a minimum as a must.

    See all 8 photos

Will the Purosangue Handle Like a Ferrari?

Well, if Ferrari has anything to say about it, yes. The electric motors in the SF90 can already vector torque independently, much like the current Acura NSX. Massive wheels and sticky rubber will almost certainly help the Purosangue put its power to the ground, as well.

Not only will the Ferrari SUV likely have some electric motors helping it out, but the Purosangue will surely feature an improved version of the rear-wheel-steering found on the GTC4Lusso. Other items, such as an electronic limited-slip differential and carbon-ceramic brakes should help the Purosangue live up to the performance expectations of a vehicle bearing the prancing horse badge.

Hopefully, we’ll know a little more about the six-figure Purosangue’s behind-the-wheel experience before its expected arrival in the U.S. of late 2022 or early 2023. More

Jeep Wrangler EV Concept Coming This Spring

Jeep will show an EV version of the Wrangler soon, in concept form.
This will likely presage a production electric Wrangler, possibly going on sale by the end of the year.
The Wrangler EV concept will debut as part of the Easter Jeep Safari event this spring.

    2021 Jeep Wrangler 4xe Starts at $49,490

Jeep Building an In-House Customization Facility

The Wrangler EV is slowly appearing on the horizon, as Jeep has now confirmed that a concept version of this battery-powered SUV will arrive this spring. A teaser photo on the company’s new “The Road Ahead” minisite shows that this new spinoff won’t mess with the Wrangler’s iconoclastic look despite having an entirely different powertrain underneath. We’ll see the full concept this spring as part of the Easter Jeep Safari in late March or early April, and the production model could follow either late this year or early in 2022.

    Jeep

A diagram showing the Wrangler EV’s underpinnings shows a single electric motor with a (likely two-speed) transfer case, rather than a dual-motor setup like many other all-wheel-drive EVs use. We spot three, or possibly even four battery modules. It’ll still have a body-on-frame setup like the standard Wrangler and the plug-in-hybrid Wrangler 4xe.
The Wrangler EV also appears to have blue tow hooks in front, and possibly a different lighting setup distinguish it from its brethren. We don’t know anything yet about its battery capacity, power output, or range estimates. Like it did with the plug-in-hybrid 4xe model, we can assume that Jeep will make plenty of claims about its off-road capabilities.
Look for more details later this spring as Jeep debuts the concept version of the electric Wrangler. It will arrive as part of the 2021 Easter Jeep Safari, which always serves as a showcase for various Jeep concepts and restomods.

Scandinavian YouTube Responds to GM's Will Ferrell Super Bowl Ad

Comedic actor Will Ferrell appeared in a Super Bowl ad for General Motors’ future EVs in which he called out Norway over its dominance in electric-vehicle sales.
YouTube channels from Scandinavian countries are rife with responses to that challenge.
Everyone from Audi Norway to schoolkids got into the act this weekend.
This begins with a story about the paucity of automaker ads during the Super Bowl, one that included a fair bit of YouTube research into GM’s spots, because GM produced some pre-game teasers in addition to its big-budget ad. Now, YouTube thinks we want to see everything it has on GM’s EVs.
Then came an ad for Circle K Denmark. That was odd. Turns out we’d been ushered into Scandinavian YouTube, where they spent the weekend busting GM’s chops.

GM’s Part of Why Norway Is Beating the U.S. in EVs

Watch Bruce Springsteen’s Super Bowl Ad for Jeep

10 All-Time Great Super Bowl Ads

In case you missed it, GM paid Will Ferrell to declare war on Norway. In a 60-second spot that ran during the Buccaneers’ mauling of Kansas City, Ferrell discovered Norway is the world leader in battery-electric vehicle sales per capita. Refusing to let America be disrespected like that, he punches a globe, grabs his Cadillac Lyriq, and drafts Kenan Thompson and Awkwafina in a Hummer EV to meet him in Norway for the beatdown.
No animals, celebrities, Norwegians, or EVs were hurt in the making of the commercial, especially since Ferrell ends up in Sweden, and Thompson and Awkwafina wind up in Finland. Because America. And geography.
Well, Scandinavia refused to be disrespected like that, mobilizing its forces almost immediately. First, Audi Norway snagged Norwegian Game of Thrones actor Kristofer Hivju for a series of digital spots responding to GM. Those featured pizza and mackerel. They were great. Then things got better.

Circle K Norway put up a 42-second spot set to a small choir belting out “The Star-Spangled Banner.” There are hot dogs, American flags, football players (who are perhaps discovering football for the first time), and a cheer squad shouting “Go! Will! Go!” They’ve reserved a charging station for him, and when he arrives, he’ll want to see the clerk inside, who’s got a welcome gift—a charging cable.
In solidarity, Circle K Denmark uses the arrival of the “enemy from the West” bent on destruction to announce its global rollout of high-speed EV charging stations. And the effort will be led by a new boss: Viking warrior Mirana, daughter of Olaf. With the help of her much less bellicose assistant.
This content is imported from YouTube. You may be able to find the same content in another format, or you may be able to find more information, at their web site.

The general secretary of Norway’s EV association tells Ferrell to “Bring it,” and bringing it seems to include bringing more cowbell. The mayor of Kragerø challenges Ferrell to come to “the pearl of the Norwegian coastal towns” and race him in the “first ever electrical go-kart Grand Prix.”
AMCAR is a Norwegian automotive organization that does everything from work with the government on policy to providing roadside assistance, financing, and car shows. In its video, AMCAR makes a direct assault on GM’s EV sales decline in Norway and Europe with a metaphor about the Chevrolet Bolt EV just not connecting like it should, and a plea to “Please fix this.”
“Norway—a country of car lovers not haters,” the tagline reads.
A group of Norwegian schoolkids try to help Ferrell—and his Lyriq’s navigation system—with a short clip on “Geography for Dummies.” Norwegian vehicle importer Bertel O. Steen announces, “Game on, America!” and questions whether a football is really a ball, and whether the Super Bowl, featuring only teams from the United States, has a right to crown a “world” champion.
This content is imported from YouTube. You may be able to find the same content in another format, or you may be able to find more information, at their web site.

And a video led by the rector of Norway’s University of Agder attempts to apologize to Ferrell by removing anything else from the country that might offend him and, in the process, points out everything the U.S. doesn’t have.
This content is imported from YouTube. You may be able to find the same content in another format, or you may be able to find more information, at their web site.

Let it be known that Ferrell has been married to a Swedish actress since 2000, and they have three children together, which is likely why Sweden has chosen to remain neutral throughout this skirmish. But we’re sure this battle isn’t over—something globe makers and pizza companies should celebrate as much as any EV maker.

    2021 CFMoto 300NK BS6 Teased – KTM Duke 250, BMW G310R Rival

    Image for reference
Albeit the mandatory BS6 compliance of the engine, there will not be any major updates on the new CFMoto 300NK

Chinese two-wheeler brand CFMoto has been absent in India since 2019. The company was expected to bring back its products in the updated BS6 avatar, however, things did not add up to plan due to the outbreak of novel coronavirus. It seems the company is now ready to return to the fold in India.
CFMoto has teased the BS6 version of its 300NK on its social media handle which is expected to launch in the country soon. We expect the upcoming bike to achieve more levels of localisation in order to be more competitively priced. In its BS4 guise, 300NK was retailed at a price of Rs 2.29 lakh (ex-showroom).
    Expected Design & Features
The 2021 300NK is unlikely to witness any major updates in terms of its styling or mechanical specifications apart from cleaner emissions from the engine. Although, the bike might receive new colour options along with new body graphics.
It is very much likely to carry forward the same sharp design with features such as dual-tone paint scheme, rear fender mounted number plate, underbelly exhaust and dual-tone paint scheme.
    CFMOTO 300 NK BS6 Teaser
300NK bears a close resemblance with KTM’s Duke range of motorcycles since it has been designed by Kiska designs, the same folks that have been involved with the Austrian brand. We don’t expect a major overhaul in its equipment either. This means we will continue to see the same set of features such as a colour TFT display, all-LED lighting and a USB charger.
    Expected Mechanical Specs
Coming to its powertrain, it is expected to be powered by the same 292.4cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected which powered its BS4 predecessor. Its output figures, although, could be slightly different in its upcoming BS6 avatar. In its BS4 guise, this motor churned out 33.5 bhp and 20.5 Nm of peak torque. It will continue to be paired with a 6-speed gearbox but will miss out on a slip and assist clutch.
It is also expected to retain its hardware setup which is based on a Steel Trellis frame. Suspension duties are handled by upside-down USD forks at front and a mono-shock at rear. Stopping power will come from single discs on both wheels which are clamped by calipers from J. Juan. The brakes will be assisted by dual-channel ABS.
Once launched, it will take on the likes of KTM Duke 250 and BMW G310R in India. Launch of NK300 will probably be followed by the introduction of other CFMoto models in India including 650NK, 650MT and 650GT. The manufacturer is also planning to launch an electric motorcycle in India in the near future. More

2021 MG ZS Electric Launch Price Rs 21 L – Range Increased By 66 Kms

    2021 MG ZS EV
MG Motor India has announced the launch of updated ZS EV today – with a minor price hike

With an unprecedented rise in fuel prices and the growing electric vehicle space in India, manufacturers have found the need to update their EVs in order to pitch them as compelling offerings to customers. In line with this, MG Motor has launched updated electric crossover today.
First launched in India about a year back, in the early parts of 2020, it was the second offering from MG in India after Hector. The new ZS EV is similar to look at and comes with no design updates, but features a host of new features, including raised ground clearance.
2021 MG ZS EV price and variants
Older MG ZS EV was offered same two trims of Excite and Exclusive at Rs 20.88 lakh and Rs 23.58 lakh (ex-showroom). New prices are at Rs 20.99 lakh and Rs 24.18 lakh – making it more expensive by up to Rs 60k.
    Current Powertrain Specs
ZS EV is the only EV offering front the Chinese-owned British brand in India. Older ZS EV was equipped with a 44.5 kWh battery pack which is paired to an electric motor capable of churning out 143 bhp and a peak torque of 353 Nm.
    2021 MG ZS EV updates
The new ZS EV 2021 Model is offered with the same specs, but the battery is new, which MG calls HT (Hi-Tech) Battery. Thanks to this new battery pack, range has increased by 66 kms. MG claims a single-charge range of 419 kms on the new ZS EV, while the older one claimed 353 kms.
The electric crossover is offered in FWD configuration and a single-speed automatic gearbox. The battery can be juiced up from 0 to 80 percent in just 40 minutes using a 50 kW DC fast charger and in 6-8 hours via a 7.4 kW AC home charger.
    Feature Updates
In terms of features, it comes with the same set of top notch features which were already on offer. This includes 8 inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MG’s i-Smart connected tech. The updated ZS EV will carry forward features such as a 360-degree camera, navigation system and a digital instrument cluster.
    2021 MG ZS EV cities
One of the biggest update on offer is the increased ground clearance. MG ZS EV ground clearance has now been increased to 177mm. This makes the car even more capable on bad roads. Tyre aspect ratio is 215/55 wrapped around 17 inch alloys. In addition to this, MG has now launched the car in 31 cities of India.
ZS EV currently does not have a direct rival in India, however, it competes with other electric crossovers including Hyundai Kona Electric and Tata Nexon EV. Other than this, MG is also expected to launch a petrol-powered version of ZS sometime later this year.
    2021 MG ZS EV More
