    Recently, we reported a new colour scheme for the 2021 Bajaj Pulsar 150. As it appears, the Moon White Edition was presented in the single disc variant while the twin disc variant gets a new colour scheme using the same colour combination although in different proportions. Pulsar 180 is seen with new blue colour.
    Updated Cosmetics
    In another video by Jet wheels, the split seat, twin-disc variant of Pulsar 150 is shown with a three-one paint scheme just like the Moon White Edition except in this case the most prominent colour being matte red instead of white. The predominant red paint is complemented by contrasting shades of black and white.

    The unique colour combination makes for very tasteful and attractive body graphics. The front of the motorcycle, as usual, is covered in a black shade which is complemented by the tri-colour graphics.
    The front fender has been painted in gloss black with a carbon fibre finish. Similar carbon fibre treatments are seen on the central toolbox panel and rear fender. It rolls on blacked-out alloy wheels which get a white colour stripe on its rims. Mechanical components such as the engine-gearbox assembly, central body panel, exhaust pipe and engine guard have been finished in matte black.

    Just like the Moon White Edition, mechanical components such as the engine-gearbox assembly, central body panel, exhaust pipe and engine guard are painted in black. Additionally, design of the ‘150’ branding on the rear fender is also revised slightly.
    Most of the body components have been given matte-black finish treatments while some of its components such as an exhaust cover, pillion grab rails and a clip-on handlebar.
    Mechanical Specs
    In terms of specifications, it is powered by the same BS6 compliant 149.5cc air-cooled single-cylinder fuel-injected motor which is able to generate and is linked to a 5-speed gearbox. The hardware setup of this new colour variant is also identical to the existing model.

    The frame of the bike is suspended on conventional telescopic forks at front and dual springs with adjustable preload at rear. Braking setup in this model consists of disc brakes at both ends with rotors of 280mm and 230mm dia at front and rear respectively.
    In terms of features, it still gets a part-digital and part-analogue instrument console. It gets a halogen headlight with an LED taillight and turn indicators. Safety net is provided by a single-channel ABS as standard across the range. It is expected to be priced at a premium of Rs 2000-3000 over the regular twin disc variant of Pulsar 150.     2021 KTM RC 390 has been spotted for the first time in India as the fully faired motorcycle inches closer to its world premiere. Likely to be introduced first in India before being exported to international markets, the new generation RC 390 features extensive styling and mechanical changes.
    2021 KTM RC 390 – What we know so far?
    Second iteration of the Austrian brand’s compact supersports motorcycle family features a redesigned fairing which is edgier and leaner than before. The front fascia gets away with the beaky twin projector headlamp in favour of a shield-like full LED unit which is vertically bifurcated by a heat sink.
    The new headlamp design is an integral part of KTM’s current design identity and it is obvious that the rest of the fairing panels are designed around it. Also, the side panels are less concealing than before and sport vents to enhance cooling performance.
    2021 KTM RC 390 also benefits from a new bolt-on rear sub-frame which is designed to make taller riders more comfortable than before. Tailpiece has been revised subtly, exhaust canister and alloy wheels look new as well. The prototype features a plain black paint job but expect the production version of sport snazzy multi-colour liveries.

    Specs at a glance
    New KTM RC family of motorcycles feature new type of front disc rotor which is mounted to the wheel spokes instead of the hub. Brake disc diameter appears to have been increased and this should translate to improved braking performance.
    The motorcycle continues to employ proven WP inverted telescopic front forks and rear monoshock. KTM may opt to employ MRF tyres on India-spec model just like it did with the Duke. Indian government’s restriction on import of tyres may have something to do with that.
    The familiar and immensely popular 373 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor is most likely to be retained as it is. With 44 hp and 35 Nm of torque, 2021 KTM RC 390 would still me the most powerful motorcycle in its class. The 6-speed transmission with slipper and assist clutch will be retained as well.
    Equipment
    In addition to full LED headlamp, 2021 KTM RC 390 will be equipped with the colour TFT instrument display which is found on the 390 Duke. Dual-channel ABS will be a standard fitment.
    New KTM RC 390 will be made at Bajaj Auto’s Chakan plant for the entire world, just like its 125 and 200 siblings. Expect to world premiere to take place sometime in mid-2021, post which it will be launched in India. The current model retails at INR 2.6 lakh (ex-showroom) and expect its successor to be marginally more expensive. Competition will come from the TVS Apache RR 310, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and so on.

    2022 Hyundai Tucson PHEV Revealed, Offers 32-Mile Electric Range

    Hyundai unveiled the 2022 Tucson plug-in hybrid with 32 miles of electric-only range. This Tucson will compete with the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime in the plug-in corner of the compact-SUV segment. The 2022 Tucson PHEV will be available this summer.In addition to U.S. specs on the upcoming 2022 Tucson N Line, today Hyundai also released details on the 2022 Tucson plug-in hybrid (PHEV). These vehicles will join the regular gas-powered and hybrid models of the Tucson and bring the variant count to four. The plug-in version of the compact SUV will take on Toyota’s surprisingly quick RAV4 Prime PHEV and be available this summer.

    Hyundai says the 2022 Tucson PHEV will offer up 32 miles of electric-only range from a full charge with its 13.8-kWh battery pack. Hyundai estimates fuel economy will be in the 70-MPGe range. To keep the pack topped up, the vehicle supports up Level 2 charging up to 7.2 kW and, like most PHEVs, is engineered more for at-home overnight charging instead of being hooked up to charging stations in the wild.Powering the Tucson PHEV will be a 261-hp 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine connected to Hyundai’s six-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle has a tow rating of 2000 pounds and like the rest of the Tucson lineup, and it’s available with all-wheel drive with a dedicated Snow mode.Its natural PHEV rival is the Toyota RAV4 Prime. The Toyota appears to best the Tucson in electric-only range with an EPA-rated 42 miles. Hyundai hasn’t yet released pricing information, but we estimate the Tucson PHEV will start at approximately $35,000 making it roughly $4000 cheaper than the more expensive RAV4 Prime, which starts at $39,220. The 2022 Tucson plug-in hybrid will be available in showrooms this summer.

    2021 Ford F-150 Police Responder Pickup Claims 120-MPH Top Speed

    Ford has shown off the new 2021 F-150 Police Responder ahead of the spring government bid cycle.According to Ford, the new police truck has a higher top speed of 120 mph, up from 105 mph, and it comes with specially designed all-terrain tires for on- and off-pavement performance.The F-150 Police Responder comes standard with the F-150’s twin-turbocharged V-6 engine with 400 horsepower and 500 pound-feet of torque.Ford unveiled the 2021 F-150 Police Responder today, based on the new F-150 but built to the needs of police officers. The F-150 Police Responder is pursuit rated and can reach 120 mph, up from the previous limit of 105 mph. It rides on specially developed Goodyear Wrangler Enforcer all-terrain tires so it can go from pavement to dirt without hesitation.

    The F-150 Police Responder has a new torque-on-demand transfer case with a 4-Auto mode. On pavement, the system automatically switches to rear-wheel drive to allow the pickup to corner better, Ford says, and on slippery or gravel road surfaces, it goes into four-wheel drive. The pickup’s off-road ability is enhanced by skid plates and an electronically locking rear differential, both found in the standard FX4 Off-Road package.

    This pickup comes standard with Ford’s 400-hp twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 with 500 pound-feet of torque, and that power is routed through a 10-speed automatic transmission. The Police Responder is offered with “Police Idle,” which allows an officer to get out of the truck and remove the key while leaving the engine running. The engine can then power lights and sirens without depleting the battery.

    Inside the new truck, there’s a dashboard tray that lets police departments easily install aftermarket lights, radar equipment, radios, and other tools of the cop trade.     375-HP 2022 Genesis GV70 3.5T Is EPA Rated at 21 MPG

    The EPA has released fuel-economy estimates for the 2022 Genesis GV70 equipped with the car’s more powerful twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6: 19 mpg in the city, 25 mpg on the highway, and 21 mpg combined.
    The twin-turbo V-6 makes 375 horsepower, while the standard engine is a 300-hp turbo 2.5-liter four-cylinder. The EPA has not yet released estimates for the base engine.
    The GV70 will go on sale in the U.S. later this year and will slot below the GV80 in the Genesis lineup.
    The 2022 Genesis GV70 will arrive in the U.S. this year as the smaller SUV in the Korean luxury brand’s lineup. Just as the larger GV80, the brand’s first SUV, is based on the G80 sedan, the GV70 shares its underpinnings with the G70 sedan. Both SUVs use the same engines: a standard 300-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder and an optional 375-hp twin-turbo 3.5-liter V-6. The EPA’s numbers reveal that the GV70 will only be slightly more fuel efficient than the GV80 when both are equipped with the six.

    Genesis

    So far, the EPA has only released estimates for GV70s equipped with the Sport model’s (pictured above) twin-turbocharged V-6 and all-wheel drive. It’s estimated at 19 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the highway with a combined rating of 21 mpg. That’s just 1 mpg more in the city than the GV80 and 2 more on the highway. However, these estimates do make the GV70 slightly more efficient than the more expensive Audi SQ5 with its 349-hp twin-turbo V-6, which is rated at 18/24 mpg and 20 mpg combined.

    The GV70’s standard engine is a 300-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four, and it’s likely to be only slightly more efficient than the GV80 2.5T’s 23-mpg rating (22 mpg with all-wheel drive). Both engines are paired with eight-speed automatic transmissions. In our testing, the more powerful twin-turbo six-cylinder engine launched the GV80 to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds, and the smaller GV70 should be slightly quicker to that mark.
    With all-wheel drive and the optional V-6, the 2022 GV70 is just slightly more fuel efficient than the 2021 GV80. The entry-level turbo four-cylinder’s estimate has yet to be announced.

    Top 10 Two Wheeler Exports Jan 2021 – Pulsar, Apache, Platina, FZ, CT100

    Two wheeler exports in Jan 21 stood at 3,84,891 units, up 26.41 percent as against 3,04,487 units exported in Jan 20. If you see the list attached, it may be noted that the Bajaj Boxer was the most exported model commanding nearly 37 percent of total exports. The Boxer currently commands a 36.52 percent share in total exports.
    Next in line was the TVS Star City which currently commands a share of 14.69 percent. Exports grew by 37.50 percent to 56,558 units in Jan 21, up from 41,132 units exported in Jan 21. TVS Motors also had the Apache at No. 5 on the list of most exported two wheelers with a 226.98 percent increase in numbers to 16,192 units as against 4,952 units exported in Jan 20.
    Bajaj Leads
    As Bajaj Auto Limited continues to post increased exports, Pulsar at No. 3 saw exports surge 82.10 percent to 35,724 units, an increase from 19,618 units exported in Jan 20. Discover exports also increased substantially in Jan 21 by 208.09 percent to 14,616 units, an increase of 9,872 units over 4,744 units exported in Jan 20.
    Bajaj CT exports dipped 10.19 percent to 18,533 units, down from 20,636 units exported in the same month of the previous year. Below is the list of all two wheeler exports from India in Jan 2021.

    TVS Sport and Bajaj Plantina also noted significant increase in export figures in Jan 21 up 222.65 percent and 104.29 percent respectively while exports of Yamaha FZ series dipped by 10.19 percent to 5,676 units.
    Honda Navi, is no longer on sale in India but is still made in India for exports. It was the company’s largest export product with 6,028 units shipped in Jan 21. Honda Dio scooter exports dipped 59.25 percent to 4,137 units, down from 10,152 units exported in Jan 20. At No.56, Honda Activa scooter exports also dipped 53.57 percent to 364 units as against 78 units exported in Jan 20.
    Even as Hero MotoCorp ruled the list in terms of domestic sales, its export models featured nowhere near the top. Hero Splendor was at No.15 with 107.58 percent export growth to 5,671 units, up from 2,732 units exported in Jan 20. Suzuki Gixxer and Hero HF Deluxe posted de-growth in terms of exports as did the Hero Glamour and Hero XPulse 200.

    2021 Benelli 302R Leaks In Production Guise Ahead Of Launch

    Upon its launch, Benelli 302R will go up against the likes of TVS Apache RR 310, Kawasaki Ninja 300 and the upcoming KTM RC 390
    At the start of 2021, Benelli announced that it will be launching seven new models in the coming year. Out of seven, two models- TRK 502 adventure bike and Leoncino 500 naked scrambler have already been launched in the first couple of months. One of the upcoming models has now been revealed through a leaked document.
    The updated 302R has been leaked from a set of documents which gives us a few details of the upcoming entry-level faired sports bike from the Chinese-owned Italian manufacturer. The revamped version of 302R comes with a host of cosmetic updates over its predecessor with new styling cues adopted.
    Updated Styling
    2021 facelifted twin-cylinder sports bike comes with a much slimmer and sleeker fairing than its previous iteration which undoubtedly looks more attractive. The previous edition of 302R looked stocky and overweight with a broad front end and large headlight.
    The new model gets an updated fascia that now features a vertically stacked headlight cluster which is flanked by separate side sections of the fairing which makes it look a lot leaner.
    Current Benelli 302R
    Aerodynamically designed lower side fairings come with new body graphics but appear to be similar mouldings as before. Same is the case with its fuel tank which has been carried over from the current model although it gets a completely new stepped-up seat that is cleaner and sportier to look at. Apart from this, we expect Benelli to offer new paint schemes as well for the new 302R.
    Same Powertrain
    In terms of performance, it will be powered by the same 300cc parallel-twin motor which can crank up to 37 bhp and 26.5 Nm of torque and will be paired with a six-speed gearbox. This engine will now comply with the strict Euro-5/BS6 emission standards.
    As per the leaked documents, kerb weight of faired motorcycle has decreased from 190 kg to 182 kg while the wheelbase has been retained at 1410mm. We expect underpinnings and dynamics of the motorcycle to remain untouched as well. Braking will be handled by rotors supplied by Bosch.
    While an exact launch timeline hasn’t been revealed, the facelifted 302R is definitely one of the bikes, Benelli will launch later towards the course of this year. Currently, the Italian brand has only three BS6 offerings in India in the form of Imperiale 400, TRK 502 and Leoncino 500. Other motorcycles to be launched by Benelli in India in the coming months are TRK 502X, 302S, Leoncino 250 and TNT 600i.

    Delhi based electric two wheeler maker, Komaki has entered God’s Own Country with four new dealerships. The Kerala dealerships were inaugurated by Mayor Prasanna Earnest along with MPs and MLAs from the region and is located at Kollam Beach.
    Komaki will sell their range of electric vehicles from these spacious showrooms that span an area of 1,800-2,400 sq ft, offering customers a vast expanse to view each of the electric vehicles on display. Komaki has the Komaki TN95, Komaki SE and Komiaki M5 in its lineup and also includes the recently introduced XGT CAT 2.0.
    Komaki XGT CAT 2.0 commercial electric bike
    Komaki recently introduced a new electric commercial vehicle called Komaki XGT CAT 2.0. This electric bike is offered in two variants, priced at Rs.75,000 for the gel-based battery tech while the Li-ion version is priced Rs.10,000 higher at Rs.85,000. The bike boasts of payload carrying capacity of 300-350 kgs and a range of 125 kms on single charge.
    While charging, it will use 1-1.5 units of electricity. Features include LED headlamps, a digital instrument, a carrier at the front, sides and rear and plenty of storage spaces. It comes in with an eye catching design while safety is not compromised with 6 shock absorbers at the rear, telescopic units in the front and disc brakes at both ends. The body is made of iron and tested for rigidity while it rides on 12 inch alloy wheels.
    Komaki Cat 2.0 Specs
    The new Komaki XGT CAT 2.0 gets its power via two battery options that include a 72V42 Ah Gel battery and a 72V30 Ah lithium-ion battery offering a range of 125 kms and top speed between 25-30 km/h.
    TN95 and SE scooters and M5 motorcycle
    Komaki also sells the TN95 and SE scooters and M5 motorcycle in India. The TN95 and SE are priced at Rs 98,000 and Rs 96,000 respectively while the M5 electric motorcycle is priced at Rs 99,000.
    The TN95 electric scooter, presented in color options of Garnet Red, Deep Blue, Metallic Gold and Jet Black, gets powered via a 3,000 BLDC motor with a lithium ion battery. It sports an all-digital instrument cluster, LED lamps, USB mobile charger and an anti-theft system and offers a range of 100-140 kms on full charge with top speed at 85 km/h.
    Komaki Electric Scooter
    The Komaki SE scooter is presented in four colors of Solid Blue, Metallic Gold, Jet Black and Garnet Red to attract a younger segment of buyers in the country. It offers a range of 100-120 kms on single charge and gets features among which are full color display, self-diagnosis switch, parking and reverse assist and cruise control.
    The M5 motorcycle is their first high speed electric bike. It gets a detachable lithium-ion battery and claims a driving range of 100-120 kms on single charge.
