    2024 KTM 390 Duke Goes Official – 399cc Engine, 44 Bhp, 39 Nm

2024 KTM Duke 390Out of the three motorcycle the Austrian brand is launching today, 2024 KTM 390 Duke debuted first on the international websiteThe all new 2024 KTM Duke 390 is here. For MY2024, there are a tonne of updates that unlock new possibilities for the bike. We’re talking about new design, new chassis, new engine, new instrument cluster, new electronics and a lot more. Let’s take a look.2024 KTM 390 Duke UnveiledThe new 390 Duke is an epitome of single-cylinder engine motorcycles in India. That said, there are new entrants in this segment with legacy badging to back them up. We’re talking about Harley-Davidson X440 and Triumph Speed 400. Both of them operate in similar attributes and Speed 400 has more vigour to rival 2024 KTM 390 Duke.2024 KTM Duke 390KTM has taken the performance game a notch up. The new 399cc engine has more performance to offer, as opposed to the old 373cc unit. This new engine makes 44 bhp of power and 39 Nm of torque as opposed to 42.9 bhp and 37 Nm of the old engine. Addition in displacement should enable better in-gear performance too.KTM is offering a slipper clutch, a bi-directional quick shifter and a 6-speed gearbox. These are nothing new as they were part of current 390 Duke as well. But the new and improved 2024 390 Duke packs a host of new electronics too. We’re talking about launch control and three ride modes (Rain, Street and Track).2024 KTM Duke 390Along with these additions, there is a new and improved 5” fully digital instrument cluster. Riders can control ride modes and other paraphernalia from this display. Additionally, it gets smartphone connectivity as well, enabling turn-by-turn navigation, notification alert, music control and more.2024 KTM Duke 390More handsome than the current model? In terms of design, 2024 KTM 390 Duke looks better too. Sure, LED headlight design can split opinions. But fuel tank and tank shrouds along with seats and rear subframe look much better than before and lend a larger size appeal. There is a banana-shaped rear swingarm along with a sleek and small exhaust can.The seating posture should be neutral with a decent compromise between everyday usability and sporty stance. Componentry includes a brand new trellis frame, fully adjustable front USD telescopic forks from WP and disc brakes at either end. Dual-channel ABS, cornering ABS, Supermoto ABS are present too.Kerb weight is an impressive 165 kg (without fuel). KTM is offering a slew of Powerparts accessories too. There could be a few changes with the Indian model, but most of these attributes will be present. Pricing could be increased as compared to the current model. India launch is expected in a few weeks. New KTM 390 Duke production starts – Gets bigger 399cc engine?

New KTM 390 Duke production startsThe new engine on 2023 KTM 390 Duke will probably displace 399cc as opposed to 373cc in outgoing model – 45+ bhp and 40+ Nm torque is possibleProspect of a new KTM 390 Duke is an exciting one. For there are a lot of updates coming with it. From a revised engine to new design, this 2023 update for KTM’s highest selling motorcycle is an important one. The updates on this will define other motorcycles like RC 390 and 390 Adventure as well.Launch seems to be nearing as there are more spy shots of production-spec models. The recent spy shot shows an uncamouflaged new KTM 390 Duke from the front at what appears to be Bajaj manufacturing plant in Pune. We can see a bunch of Pulsar motorcycles in the background.New KTM 390 Duke spied againThe last sighting of this motorcycle was abroad and on road and it didn’t feature camouflage too. Given the frequent sightings, we would wager that launch might be nearing. KTM is yet to disclose whether the new 390 Duke will debut in India or abroad.Regardless, we like what we see. KTM has stuck to its edgy design language but executed it differently with its latest iteration. There are multiple inspirations from the bigger 1290 Super Duke R. Even the new 390 Duke’s colour is a direct inspiration from Super Duke R. Headlights follow a similar theme as the outgoing model, but executed differently.New KTM 390 Duke production startsLED DRL signature is now not continuous as in the outgoing model and is an overall smaller unit. There is a new TFT display as well. KTM has placed it higher for easy visibility. Fuel tank is slightly different and gets pronounced tank shrouds. These lend a lot of character and aggression to the motorcycle. Frame and new 5-spoke alloys are finished in bright Orange, typical KTM.That said, both alloys and trellis frame are brand new along with rear subframe, split design seats and rear tail lights. There is a ‘T’ shape in the tail light LED signature that reminds me of TVS Ronin’s headlight LED signature. Disc rotors are now bolted directly on alloys and calipers are radially mounted too as before.Has displacement gone up to 399cc?The main change could be in its engine. A new engine architecture is evident from spy shots. Speculations suggest a larger 399cc displacement along with 45+ bhp of power and 40+ Nm of torque. For context, outgoing 390 Duke displaces 373cc and generates 42.9 bhp of power and 37 Nm of torque.Bump in features is likely too. We expect additions like traction control and cornering ABS, both of which are already present with RC 390 and 390 Adventure. Asking for wheelie control would be pushing it a little. That said, features like Quickshifter+ (bi-directional clutchless shifts), ride-by-wire, Bluetooth connectivity, will be on offer like on the outgoing model. More

With exceptional power : weight ratio and price : performance ratio, KTM 390 Duke is in a league of its own. This is the bike’s main draw. KTM might offer white wheel colour, depending on a multitude of colourways. The next obvious design change is the subframe. It looks like it was heavily inspired by its bigger siblings like 790 or 890 Duke.
    2024 KTM 390 Duke
Alloy wheels and front disc rotors are new. Rotors are now mounted directly to the alloy wheels. Calipers are radially mounted too. WP USD front forks are likely to be retained. Engine casing is new too, which is a clear indication of a new engine architecture.

Other notable features include an underbelly exhaust, sharper headlight design, and large angular tank shrouds that extend to the front suspension giving it a lot of muscle to flex on its competition.
    2024 KTM 390 Duke – Price & Launch

We also expect improved electronics and driver aids along with a quick shifter, a larger fuel tank, improved traction, larger brakes, new infotainment display with more features, etc. When launched, it will compete with BMW G310R and Honda CB300R. Launch is likely to happen in the coming months. 2024 KTM Duke 390 prices are likely to remain same as current 390 Duke, in the Rs 3.2 lakh ex-sh range.

2023 KTM 390 Duke New Gen Spied In India For First Time

While next-gen KTM 390 Duke will debut later this year in international markets, launch in India is likely in first half of 20232023 KTM Duke 390After launching updated versions of 390 Adventure and RC 390 in May, KTM has started working towards introducing new-gen 390 Duke in India. KTM 390cc bikes are currently the top selling KTM bikes in the country. They are also the most exported KTM bikes from India. All KTM and Husqvarna bikes are manufactured at Bajaj Auto’s Chakan facility near Pune. While new-gen 390 Duke was earlier spotted on road tests in Europe, this is the first time it’s been seen in India. The test mule was fully camouflaged and appeared close to production-ready form. It is evident that the bike packs in a range of updates for a sportier look and feel.KTM 390 Duke Next-Gen stylingFront fascia of new-gen 390 Duke has been updated with a more aggressive headlamp. Functionality of the headlamp will be retained, which is claimed to offer improved visibility in low light and dark conditions. The bike can be seen with new tank shrouds that are much sharper as compared to that of current model. Towards the tail section, the bike appears to have added some new panels. Overall, the bike’s design aesthetics seems to be closely following its larger sibling, the 1290 Super Duke R.Beyond the skin, the bike can be seen using an updated cast aluminium subframe. This again appears similar to that of larger capacity Dukes. Swingarm has also been updated with a new, asymmetrical unit. The current model has the standard, flat bar swingarm design. Some features like the lightweight alloy wheels have been borrowed from KTM’s updated RC range. In other updates, placement of the front disc has been changed to right side. The bike has been equipped with an underbelly exhaust, which enhances its sporty profile. The current model utilizes an upswept exhaust that comes in dual-tone black-metallic finish. With these changes, KTM appears to be targeting multiple improvements. It includes reducing the bike’s weight and enhancing control and handling. With improved power to weight ratio, performance could also get a boost.New TFT consoleNew-gen KTM 390 Duke will have an updated TFT display with revised layout. It can now display more information, as compared to the one used with current model. It is possible that new features like turn-by-turn navigation could be added. Some new connectivity features could also be on the cards. Another update could be emergency brake light system, which activates during hard braking. In this situation, all indicators are flashed at the same time to warn other road users. While the engine casing seems new, it is not certain if there will be any direct performance improvements. The current model is powered by a 373.2cc liquid cooled motor that generates max power of 43.5 hp and peak torque of 37 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed transmission. The engine is integrated with a quickshifter and slipper clutch. With the updates, new-gen KTM 390 Duke price could exceed the Rs 3 lakh mark. The current model is available at a starting price of somewhere around Rs 2.90 lakh. More

2022 KTM RC 390 Gets Listed On India Website – Launch Soon

2022 KTM RC 390The new-gen RC 390 is the third product in KTM’s RC line of modelsKTM is getting ready to launch the new generation RC 390 in India. After launching the new-gen models of RC 125 and RC 200, the Austrian brand is now close to introducing the flagship motorcycle in its India lineup in a completely new avatar. The entry-level superbike made its official global appearance earlier this year along with its smaller siblings which witnessed a number of updates both on and underneath its skin. Before hitting the showrooms, the company released a short teaser of the new-gen RC 390 on its social media handles.2022 KTM RC 390- Overhauled DesignWhile earlier spy shots had generated negative to mixed feedback from viewers, the sports bike in its final production model looks a lot better in actuality. The fully-faired motorcycle gets a completely redesigned front face with a new single-piece LED headlight and a larger windshield. The redesigned LED headlight cluster is flanked by LED DRLs and turn indicators on each side. The new-gen RC 390 flaunts a wider front fairing which enables better aerodynamics than its predecessor. Aerodynamic qualities are further enhanced thanks to the revised side fairings which include air vents to ensure optimized airflow. Other styling updates include a more muscular fuel tank, new body graphics and a revised tail section with a new seating setup.2022 KTM RC 390 – India WebsiteErgonomics of the faired sports bike seemed to have eased to a certain extent due to the presence of an adjustable clip-on handlebar. However, the riding posture still remains very much committed thanks to rear-set footpegs and large fuel tank in between the rider and handlebar. Details such as the side-on upswept exhaust and split seats have been carried forward from the outgoing RC 390.Hardware & Feature updatesSubtle ramifications have been carried out on the architecture of KTM India RC 390 as well. While the main frame hasn’t undergone any revision, the new RC 390 gets a new bolt-on rear subframe for improved on-road dynamics. Suspension duties will be handled by USD forks at front and a mono-shock unit at the rear with a braced alloy swingarm. The entire setup is adjustable.Braking hardware consists of 320mm front and 230mm rear disc brakes aided by a dual-channel ABS sourced from Bosch. The stronger stopping power should provide optimal safety when braking at corners or at high speeds. Other notable features on offer include ride modes and a new TFT instrument console compatible with Bluetooth connectivity.Powertrain SpecsPowering RC 390 is a familiar 373cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that can push out 44 bhp and 37 Nm of peak torque. The increase in torque output has been made possible thanks to a larger air-box in the new superbike which has resulted in an increase in top speed by 11kmph. This unit will be paired with a 6-speed gearbox via a slipper and assist clutch. More

New KTM 390 Enduro Adventure Motorcycle Spied Testing

2023 KTM 390 Enduro21-inch front wheel, off-road tyres, new swing-arm mean businessKTM’s 390 Duke platform has been a cash cow since its birth and the two wheeler giant is not done milking it yet. In its second generation, the modular platform spawned an adventure tourer in addition to also underpinning Husqvarna products. Recent spy shots from Europe strongly indicate that the Austrian brand is working on a hard-core 390 off roader.KTM 390 Enduro – What’s new?Likely to be called KTM 390 Enduro, the new derivative appears to be in the early stages of development as evident by the maturity level of the prototype. The bodywork and equipment are tentative but they give a fairly decent idea on where KTM is going with this model. Having given shape to street fighter, supersports and adventure versions, a hard-core off-roader would nicely round off things.A close look reveals that the KTM 390 Enduro retains the trademark trellis frame. The rear sub-frame too has a familiar air to it but a new swing arm, 21-inch front spoke wheel, off-road tyres and sturdy belly highlight the motorcycle’s serious off-road intent. The shield for the inverted front forks further adds to the Enduro character. Both front and rear wheels are retarded by a disc each (mostly likely supported by switchable dual-channel ABS) We expect the prototype to evolve significantly as it inches closer to production ready state.KTM 390 EnduroThe signature Duke LED headlamp will be a part of the final design but with a sorted out mounting and fairing panels. The TFT colour instrument console is also likely to be on board. To be made in India?Bajaj Auto’s Chakan plant has been the home base of KTM’s compact and medium displacement family of products including the 390 series. We don’t see why this winning approach would change as far the new model is concerned. While Europe and USA are expected to be the primary markets for the KTM 390 Enduro, we think it could be an interesting proposition for India as well. We don’t have a purpose-built hard-core off-roader in the medium displacement category at the moment and a well-priced offering carrying the KTM badge would evoke a lot of excitement among the Indian enthusiasts.KTM 390 EnduroKTM 390 Enduro Launch When?As we mentioned, the KTM 390 Enduro still has a long way to go before it can hit the road. However, given that it is a derivative of a well-established platform, we expect the turnaround time to be relatively shorter. We reckon it will be ready by late 2023 or early 2024.Given the kind of beefing up required to endure serious off-roading, the upcoming model is likely to be the most expensive member of the 390 family. And, KTM may not just stop with one displacement option! A 250 could also be on the cards but let’s not speculate too much too early.Source More

Visual updates on the adventure tourer are in line with the Dakar winning KTM FACTORY RALLY machines. The overall design of the motorcycle remains identical which features the same rugged styling it is known for.2022 KTM 390 Adventure India Launch SoonThe updated 390 Adventure now received two new colour options a grey-black scheme and a blue scheme, both offered with orange accents and body graphics. These shades have been inspired by the larger KTM models, for instance, the 890 Adventure. In addition, the bike gets new tank shrouds and rear side panels which are slightly wider than the saddle. This provides better control to the rider and also reduces wear and tear of the seat. Headlight mask of the new 390 ADV has been reduced to make the front end slightly lighter. Shape of the fuel tank has also been optimised to ensure freedom of rider’s movement and control. Despite these minute variations, KTM has retained the distinct identity of its ADV range in the new 390 Adventure with a split headlamp setup and visor.Features on offerComing to features, the equipment stays similar to the outgoing model. The bike gets a long list of gizmos such as all-LED lighting, an adjustable windscreen, a fully coloured TFT instrument display enabled with smartphone connectivity, optional turn-by-turn navigation and a standard 12V charging port.2022 KTM 390 Adventure India Launch Soon. Braking duties are handled Braking duties are handled by single disc brakes at both ends aided by a dual-channel ABS with offroad mode. The new cast aluminium alloy wheels are now lighter since they feature five spokes instead of six. KTM has also introduced new traction control settings for both street and off-road. This setting enables different rear-slips based on the terrain.Powering the updated 390 Adventure is the same 373.2cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that pumps out 42.3 bhp and 37 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox which comes with a standard bi-directional quick-shifter. More
