    Two variants – Adventure R, Adventure X
A new teaser reveals the all-terrain capabilities of 2025 KTM 390 Adventure. While the current model is better suited for on-road environments, the new 390 Adventure will have two distinct variants. The 390 Adventure R variant is off-road capable, whereas the Adventure X model will continue with the tourer-centric profile. 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R gets an updated fascia that looks familiar to the new-gen Dukes.

Key highlights include a sleek LED headlamp, signature LED DRLs, a large windscreen, raised fender, knuckle guards and circular rear-view mirrors. The front suspension is rebound and compression adjustable, whereas the rear monoshock suspension is preload and rebound adjustable. A new swingarm has been introduced to support the updated rear suspension. The bike uses an entirely new steel trellis frame at the front and an aluminium subframe at the rear. Take a look at the walkaround video below.

Being an off-road capable bike, KTM 390 Adventure R gets 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels. Braking setup comprises 320 mm and 240 mm disc brakes at front and rear, respectively. The bike has rally-style seats with a narrow central section that allows riders to easily adjust their posture and seat position. The ergonomics also ensure easy riding while standing up. 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R has a seat height of 885 mm. While this may not be most appropriate for shorter riders, it is reported that KTM may offer tweaked versions based on the specific market.
    Cruise control
Another important update is the addition of cruise control function. A dedicated button on the left switchgear activates the cruise control mode. By maintaining a constant speed, the cruise control function can be quite useful during long-distance touring.
Tech upgrades include a new 5-inch, horizontally positioned TFT dashboard. Users can access ride modes of Rally, Street and Rain. A wide range of connectivity features will be available. The bike also gets a USB C charging port. Other highlights include Quickshifter+, traction control and cornering ABS.
    2025 KTM 390 Adventure X
While chassis and bodywork will be the same, 390 Adventure X will have a slightly different equipment list. For example, the bike will have cast alloy wheels, 19-inch at front and 17-inch at the rear. Suspension travel is limited to 200 mm and suspension setup is non-adjustable. The bike has non-cornering ABS and an LCD dashboard. Seat height of 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X is 825 mm. Powering the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure will be the 399cc, liquid cooled, DOHC, single cylinder engine. It could generate around 45 bhp and 40 Nm of torque. More

    2025 KTM 390 Adventure R
These are among the most exciting product showcases at EICMA 2024. While 390 Adventure is a new generation of company’s adventure tourer, 390 Enduro and 390 SMC are completely new and have been breaking light for the first time ever. 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R Unveiled
2025 KTM 390 Lineup At EICMA
Next-gen 390 Duke was launched first across many international markets including India, the other models within 390 lineup needed updating. Improving on their previous iterations are 390 Duke (street fighter) and just unveiled 390 Adventure (tourer, off-roader), while next Gen RC 390 is under testing.
    2025 KTM 390 Adventure R
Now, KTM has added two entirely new body styles with 390 lineup – Enduro and SMC. Both motorcycles were just showcased at EICMA 2024. Before diving deep into Enduro and SMC, we have to start with 390 Adventure as it is the most popular one. For the next Gen 390 Adventure, KTM has been offering varied capabilities with the help of variants.
    2025 KTM 390 Adventure R
390 Adventure is offered in X and R variants. Bodywork remains the same between the two, but only the 390 Adventure R variant gets TFT instrument cluster, cornering ABS and MTC. X variant is a more road-focused tourer with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, non-adjustable front and rear suspension with 200 mm travel.
    [embedded content]
R variant, on the other hand, is a more off-road-worthy offering with improved hardware like 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels, off-road tyres, and fully adjustable suspension with 230 mm travel, among others. Ground clearance is higher with R variant and seat height is 885 mm, while X variant has a seat height of 825 mm.
    2025 KTM 390 Enduro R
    390 Enduro R and 390 SMC R
Where Adventure lineup is more of a semi-faired tourer/off-roader, KTM’s new Enduro lineup aims to be more hardcore and eager to take on the rough stuff. For starters, it ditches Adventure’s fairing and associated weight, making it more manageable to ride off-road. While it lacks a windscreen, it retains the front beak. Headlight and instrument clusters are a simpler units, unlike Adventure’s.
    2025 KTM 390 Enduro R
Another new body style with KTM’s 390 lineup is SMC R, adhering to Supermoto genre. This is likely to be very popular owing to its fun quotient. The main differentiating factor is the 17-inch front and rear wheels wrapped with sporty tyres for maximum corner carving credentials. It gets unique styling with quirky elements, making it stand out within KTM’s 390 lineup.
    2025 KTM 390 SMC R
All of the showcased 390 motorcycles (2025 KTM 390 Adventure R, 390 Enduro R and 390 SMC R) will be manufactured at Bajaj’s facility in Pune and shipped to various markets. New 390 Adventure (X and R) and 390 Enduro R are more likely to launch in India, while 390 SMC R might be skipped, until there is demand, of course. More

Before that, these motorcycles will make their world premier at EICMA Show 2024 in multiple variants. Now, the India launch date is out, creating a lot of buzz around the product among enthusiasts.
    390 Adventure Launch Date
While the Adventure lineup from KTM is popular for its versatility and touring capability, new Adventure lineup focuses on off-road capability as well. This will be the most crucial rival for Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, which has been dominating the sales charts within the adventure and tourer genres.
KTM 390 ADV R Adjustable Suspension
2025 KTM 390 Adventure lineup is a radical departure when compared to current model. When launched on 14th November, new KTM 390 Adventure will feature a far more edgier design with imposing road presence. Something which target demographic are likely to appreciate.
While current model is more of a tourer, upcoming 390 Adventure is spawning a more off-road worthy variant. Called 390 Adventure R, it will feature fully adjustable suspension (compression and rebound) with 230 mm travel. Front wheel will be 21-inches and rear wheel will be 18-inches with higher ground clearance.
2025 KTM 390 Adventure Cruise Control
Also, it has to be noted that only the 390 Adventure R will get wire-spoke wheels. The other variant is 390 Adventure X that features 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels with lower ground clearance. It misses out on fully adjustable suspension and features 200 mm travel, as per leaked brochure.
2025 KTM 390 Adventure Launch Date
For India, the multiple variants are not confirmed and there is a good probability of 390 Adventure R not launching here. All variants will be manufactured by Bajaj Auto in India. When launched, it will take on rivals like Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, Yezdi Adventure and Triumph Scrambler 400X among others.
    2025 KTM 390 Adventure
    What to expect?
Design-wise, 2025 KTM 390 Adventure looks a lot sleeker, yet substantial than the current model. Taller windscreen, sharper body panels and edgier design elements contribute to that effect. We can expect new instrumentation and a host of electronic rider aids as part of the package.
Where powertrains are concerned, it will pack the same 399cc DOHC 4V liquid-cooled single-cylinder motor from 390 Duke. However, it might be tuned differently to suit ADV character. Around 45 bhp and 40 Nm is expected along with ride-by-wire, slipper clutch and 6-speed gearbox. Price will be revealed at launch. More

2025 KTM 390 Adventure Variants Leaked – Features, Components Detailed

2025 KTM 390 Adventure VariantsThere will be at least two versions of 2025 KTM 390 Adventure, one focused on off-road and the other for road-oriented touring
At EICMA 2024, KTM will be unveiling multiple new models and technology products. For ADV enthusiasts, KTM will be introducing the 2025 390 Adventure. Ahead of its debut at EICMA, details about the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure have been revealed. Let’s take a look at 2025 KTM 390 Adventure Variants ahead of debut.
    2025 KTM 390 Adventure R
This variant is off-road capable and is equipped with adjustable suspension offering 230 mm of travel. With 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels, KTM 390 Adventure R has the capability to tackle challenging terrain. This setup is quite similar to Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 that has 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel combo.
The larger front wheel, coupled with long-travel suspension, ensures a higher ground clearance. The exact numbers are likely to be revealed at the EICMA. A rough estimate can be derived from the 230 mm of ground clearance available with Himalayan 450. KTM 390 Adventure R has seat height of 885 mm, making it a more capable off-roader.
However, the number is high when compared to Himalayan 450 which has seat height in the range of 805 mm to 845 mm (with adjustability). KTM 390 Adventure R will be equipped with cornering ABS and MTC (Motorcycle Traction Control). Tech package for KTM 390 Adventure R has been upgraded with a new H50 TFT dashboard. As per KTM’s nomenclature, the H represents the orientation ‘Horizontal’ whereas the number represents the size of the screen.

The 5-inch TFT display was recently introduced with 2024 KTM 250 Duke and 2024 KTM 200 Duke. It has improved visibility and a clear, concise user interface. Made from bonded glass, the new TFT colour display is designed for rough use. It supports Bluetooth, allowing users to access calls and music when paired with the smartphone. Riders will also be able to access turn-by-turn navigation. KTM 390 Adventure R is also expected to get new menu switches that can be used to navigate and control the functions on the TFT display.
    2025 KTM 390 Adventure X
With relatively less features, the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X will be positioned below the KTM 390 Adventure R. While the chassis and bodywork will be the same, the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X gets smaller 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. This version has cast wheels, as compared to spoke wheels of Adventure R. Also, the suspension of 390 Adventure X is non-adjustable and has less travel at 200 mm.
2025 KTM 390 Adventure X has non-cornering ABS and seat height of 825 mm. All these features indicate that this variant is better suited for on-road touring. Unlike the Adventure R that gets a new TFT display, the Adventure X continues with the LCD dashboard. With limited features, 2025 KTM 390 Adventure X will be priced lower than the Adventure R.
    KTM 390 ADV R Side
While both these versions will be unveiled at EICMA, it is not certain if both will be available for sale in India. Having multiple versions on offer can be advantageous, as it can help target a larger customer base. Enthusiasts will also benefit, as they can choose according to their needs and preferences.

2025 KTM 390 ADV Cruiser Control Confirmed – New Spy Shots

2025 KTM 390 ADV With Cruise ControlWith fully adjustable suspension, 21-inch front wheel, knobby tyres and raised ground clearance, 2025 KTM 390 ADV promises a lot of fun
KTM is keen on updating its Adventure lineup based on both 250 and 390 platforms. However, being the flagship, 390 Adventure gets more features and equipment. The R version of this motorcycle was recently showcased at a rally in South Dakota, USA. This motorcycle showed cruise control for the first time.
    2025 KTM 390 ADV
One of India’s most popular ADVs, KTM 390 Adventure, is set to receive a major upgrade. There are two versions of this motorcycle as suggested by the different equipment shown by spy shots and official camo images.
    2025 KTM 390 Adventure
While the one spotted testing in India is the standard model geared more towards touring, a more off-road-friendly R version (R for Rally?) has been showcased recently in South Dakota, USA. Albeit draped in camouflage, this motorcycle showcased by KTM at a rally event seemed to have finalised equipment.
The R version gets off-road-friendly components like 21-inch front wheel, knobby tyres, fully adjustable suspension and more ground clearance. We also saw handlebar risers, round ORVMs and knuckle guards among others. While most of these elements will not make it to the standard model, there is one feature that will.
    2025 KTM 390 Adventure
We’re talking about cruise control feature seen with the recent spy shots of the showcased motorcycle in USA. The motorcycle gets ride-by-wire (electronic throttle) which enables the motorcycle to adjust and maintain speeds set by the cruise control system. This is a very handly feature to have while long-distance touring.
Reducing rider inputs for a relaxed experience is the purpose of this feature. It is controlled by the left switchgear. We can see a dedicated button to enable cruise control and a + button to increase the speed or reset it. We also hope there is cornering cruise control in the package as well.
    2025 KTM 390 Adventure
    What else does it get?
The 2025 KTM 390 ADV comes with a major redesign, taking its edgy design language to a whole new level. We have a vertically stacked headlight setup along with a tall windscreen. The semi-fairing is sharp and there is a long beak for that quintessential ADV look. Final details will be revealed at 2024 EICMA Show, where it will be fully revealed.
    2025 KTM 390 Adventure
It will be powered by the same 399 cc DOHC 4V liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine capable of generating around 45 bhp and 40 Nm. A host of electronics are expected with this motorcycle. Also, advanced instrumentation via a 5-inch TFT unit with Bluetooth connectivity suite is also standard.

KTM 390 ADV R Showcased In Camo Version Ahead Of Global Debut

KTM 390 ADV R ShowcasedThe highlight equipment seen on KTM 390 ADV R are present on Hero Xpulse 200 4V Pro, but missing on Royal Enfield Himalayan 450
Expanding its 390 lineup, KTM has been working on an updated 390 Adventure along with two entirely new models – 390 Enduro R and 390 SMC R. These motorcycles are expected to debut at EICMA show set to happen next month. Ahead of that, KTM has showcased a camo version of upcoming 390 Adventure R at a rally in South Dakota, USA. Let’s take a look.
    KTM 390 ADV R Showcased
Ahead of their global debut, KTM has showcased two of their upcoming models during the 2024 KTM Adventure Rally happening in South Dakota, USA. One was a 1390 Adventure R, which is a top-tier product from the brand. But the most interesting for Indian market is 390 Adventure R, which is a more off-road worthy version of 390 Adventure.
    KTM 390 ADV R
The just debuted 390 Adventure R is a more off-road-worthy version of 390 Adventure and looks like it gets a lot of equipment as seen in the images credited to Simon Cudby. It is not yet confirmed whether 390 Adventure R will be launched in India. Regardless, it will be manufactured in India by Bajaj Auto.
    What are the upgraded features?
It is no secret that KTM is developing an update to 390 Adventure and has been testing in India for a very long time. However, this is a regular 390 Adventure which is focused to be a tourer and take on the rough stuff, when needed. This version is likely to come with 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke rims.
KTM 390 ADV R Adjustable Suspension, Handlebar Risers
These wheels are wrapped with fatter tubeless dual-sport tyres to suit its dual nature. However, a more off-road-worthy version of 390 Adventure was spied testing abroad and it had a larger 21-inch front wheel and looked like it had an 18-inch rear wheel. These are wire-spoke units too and will probably get tubeless tyres. But they are skinnier and more off-road friendly.
Where equipment is concerned, 390 Adventure R packs more than standard 390 Adventure. Apart from larger wheels and off-road tyres, we can see fully adjustable WP USD front forks. These will allow riders to adjust compression and rebound as per their needs. Not just that, rear suspension is adjustable too, as confirmed in the images.
    KTM 390 ADV R Side
    More features with R
Other than these, we can see a few elements on 390 Adventure R, which are not seen on 390 Adventure test mules in India. These include round ORVMs, chunky knuckle guards along with handlebar risers. Looks like KTM has equipped 390 Adventure R to take on the Royal Enfield Himalayan, which currently lacks these aforementioned features. These features are seen present on Hero Xpulse 200 4V Pro, though.
Where powertrains are concerned, KTM 390 ADV R will be equipped with the 399cc DOHC 4V liquid cooled single-cylinder engine with around 45 bhp and 40 Nm. It will be loaded with electronics and advanced instrumentation enabled with a 5-inch TFT unit with smartphone connectivity suite.

KTM is known for introducing extensive updates for its bikes. Most recent example is the new 390 Duke that has been unveiled across global markets, including India. It featured the new 399cc engine, which the company will now offer with other models like 2025 KTM 390 Adventure R as well. Also, there are two more 390 models, this time around.
One is called Enduro 390 R, which has been spied testing in India as well. The third mystery 399cc motorcycle is called 390 SMC R, which will be closely related to 390 Enduro R. Apart from these three, KTM could showcase bigger bikes based on 990 or 1390 platform at 2024 EICMA.
    2025 KTM 390 Adventure R
Apart from the 2025 lineup of 990 and 1390 based KTM big bikes to be showcased at EICMA, there will be three product showcases relevant to Indian market. These three upcoming motorcycles are based on the smaller 390 platform and will join the already-launched 390 Duke.
These are 390 Adventure R, 390 Enduro R and 390 SMC R. While we are familiar with 390 Adventure from the past, 390 Enduro R and 390 SMC R are new models. Notably, we have seen test mules of 390 Enduro R, but the 390 SMC R is completely out of the blue.
2025 KTM 390 Adventure Enduro Spied
Speculations suggest that it could be a Supermoto version of this platform, closely resembling the enduro-style 390 Enduro R. Only the dual-sport Enduro is likely to get the 21-inch front wheel for extreme off-roading. Rivaling off-road motorcycle offering from Royal Enfield.
With all these motorcycles, we can expect a sportier look and feel. LED headlights, DRLs, sharper edges, colour-injected plastic parts and edgier graphics are likely. 2024 KTM 390 Duke utilizes a two-piece construction. It has a new trellis main frame, along with an aluminium rear frame. We can expect a similar chassis setup on these 390 models.
    What to expect?
The new frame not only enhances the looks but is also designed to improve agility, torsional rigidity and feedback from the chassis. WP Apex USD forks with adjustable rebound and compression damping, offset WP Apex split-piston shock absorber with pre-load and rebound adjustability, new lightweight alloy wheels, new four-piston radial brake calliper and a two-piston rear calliper are expected components.
KTM 390 Enduro (top) and 390 Adventure (below)
Features-wise, we can expect ride-by-wire tech, a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth and navigation, a USB C charging port, illuminated switchgear, adjustable brake and clutch levers, and forged aluminium foot pegs are likely. There will be riding modes too along with a slew of electronic rider aids.
All these upcoming 390 motorcycles get the same 399 cc engine with 44 bhp of max power and 39 Nm of peak torque. A bi-directional quick shifter, a slipper clutch and a 6-speed gearbox are likely features. Engine characteristics might be unique to each machine.
After five long years, KTM is returning to EICMA and is likely to make quite a spectacle showcasing its impressive range of upcoming 390, 990 and 1390 motorcycles. The company is poised to showcase some of its upcoming technology like AMT gearbox and an 8.8-inch instrument cluster. There are rumours of 125 Adventure R and 125 SMC R as well, which will be interesting to see. More
