KTM 390 Adventure X+ Reach Showrooms Before Launch – More Features

KTM 390 Adventure X+ Reach Showrooms
Capitalising on the country’s rush for ADV motorcycles, KTM is expanding its 390 Adventure lineup to include a new variant. This variant is based on 390 Adventure X, but gets more features and technology. Ahead of a formal launch, units have started to arrive at showrooms, giving us a glimpse as to what we can expect.
    KTM 390 Adventure X+
While the speculations suggest that this new variant of KTM 390 Adventure X will be called 390 Adventure X+, the company has not confirmed this new name. Also, the units which have arrived at the dealerships do not show any Plus or + suffix beside the 390 Adventure X name, which is likely to be what it will be called.
What this new variant brings, is an upgrade in features which are not present on current 390 Adventure X. These particular units were spotted in a KTM dealership in Pune city in Maharashtra. Even the colourways look like they’re identical to 390 Adventure X currently on sale in India.
KTM 390 Adventure X+ Reach Showrooms
Launch is expected to happen in the coming days or coming weeks and there might be a bump in price, when compared to the model currently on offer. That’s understandable as the new variant brings a host of new features which enthusiasts would love to have on their adventure tourer motorcycle.
These features are courtesy of a more advanced IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit) unlocking cornering ABS along with cornering traction control that is switchable as well. The other feature added is cruise control, which is appreciated by the tourers looking to buy this motorcycle. Switchgear is now improved and gets a similar unit as the more expensive 390 Adventure.
    Any other changes?
The main ethos with 390 Adventure X was to carve out a more touring friendly setup of this platform. In that regard, it gets 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheel setup with tubeless tyres unlike the 390 Adventure which gets 21-inch front and 17-inch wire-spoke wheels that are more apt for off-roading.

Powertrain remains the same 398.63cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC 4V/cyl engine that is capable of delivering 45.3 bhp of peak power and 39 Nm of peak torque, mated to a slipper clutch, electronic throttle (ride-by-wire), a bi-directional quick-shifter and a 6-speed gearbox.

Where pricing is concerned, India-spec 390 Enduro R boasts a price tag of Rs 3.36 lakh, making it more affordable than 390 Adventure.
    KTM 390 Enduro R Launch
This is the first time in a very long time KTM is expanding the 390 portfolio to incorporate two new motorcycle genres. Before, we only had 390 Duke Roadster, 390 Adventure ADV and RC 390 Supersport. Now, the company has just launched 390 Enduro R and will soon launch 390 SCM R (Supermoto) motorcycle.
    KTM 390 Enduro R Launched
Where pricing is concerned, KTM 390 Enduro R costs Rs 3.36 lakh (Ex-sh) and is a more off-road focussed enduro style machine than 390 Adventure. For context, KTM 390 Adventure X costs Rs 2.91 lakh (Ex-sh) and 390 Adventure costs Rs 3.68 lakh (Ex-sh). Both the Adventure and Enduro motorcycles cater to different audiences.
It has to be noted that the KTM 390 Enduro R launched in India is an India-spec version of this motorcycle and not global-spec model. The latter gets more suspension travel, a higher ground clearance, a taller seat height and weighs significantly less than India-spec model launched here. The global-spec model will be launched in India at a later date as a variant.
    KTM 390 Enduro R Launched
    Specs & Features
Speaking of components, KTM 390 Enduro R rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels wrapped with dual-sport block-pattern tyres, WP Apex fully adjustable USD front forks (200 mm travel), adjustable rear mono-shock (205 mm travel), single disc brakes at both ends, fully switchable dual-channel ABS.
Where design is concerned, 390 Enduro R is vastly the same as 390 Adventure, sans the fairing, vertically laid out LED headlight setup and the larger 5-inch TFT instrument cluster. Enduro gets a smaller and flatter headlight setup and a smaller 4.2-inch pill-shaped TFT cluster. Other notable features include two riding modes and Traction Control.

KTM 390 SMC R Spied Testing With Saree Guard – India Launch Soon?

KTM 390 SMC R Spied With Saree Guard
Team Orange has been expanding its 390 platform to incorporate more vehicles and genres. KTM recently launched the new 390 Adventure in India for a starting price of Rs 3.68 lakh (Ex-sh). It is speculated that KTM will also launch 390 Enduro R, which is a genre that KTM has carved out on 390 platform for the first time.
Also for the first time on 390 platform is 390 SMC R, which has been spied recently in India. While it is not confirmed to launch in India, this particular test mule looks like it is an India-spec model. When launched, it will be the most fun-oriented motorcycle based on this platform. Let’s take a closer look.
KTM 390 SMC R Spied Testing
Up until now, KTM only had street fighter 390 Duke, 390 Adventure ADV and RC 390 Supersport as part of its 390 portfolio. Now, the company has expended this displacement class to incorporate a hard-core enduro motorcycle called 390 Enduro R and a supermoto bike called 390 SMC R.
While 390 Enduro R is likely to launch in India soon, the latest spy shots of 390 SMC R indicates that the company might consider launching it in India too. We say this because the latest spy shots of 390 SMC R test mules show the presence of a saree guard, which is mandated on all 2W vehicles sold here.
KTM 390 SMC R Spied With Saree Guard
Bajaj Auto handles manufacturing of 390 portfolio for KTM India’s domestic and export business. Testing of these motorcycles in India is a common practice even though they’re not destined to launch here. However, the presence of a saree guard strongly suggests that it might be India bound.
    What to expect?
Overall design is similar to 390 Enduro R, but 390 SMC R features smaller 17-inch wheels wrapped with fat rubber. 110-section at the front and 150-section for rear. Interestingly, these are wire-spoke wheels that may support tubeless tyres. It gets the same braking hardware as 390 Enduro R along with an additional Supermoto ABS mode.
Suspension is handled by fully adjustable WP Apex USD telescopic front forks along with fully adjustable rear WP Apex mono-shock setup. Front is adjustable for rebound and compression and rear is adjustable for rebound and preload. It gets a pill-shaped 4.3-inch TFT cluster as 390 Enduro R that should be Bluetooth enabled.
    2025 KTM 390 SMC R
Powering this motorcycle will be the same 399cc liquid-cooled DOHC 4V/cyl single-cylinder engine that is capable of 45.3 bhp of peak power and 39 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Launch is likely to happen in the coming months.

2025 KTM 390 Duke Gets Cruise Control, New Colour – Launch Soon

2025 KTM 390 DukeAn advanced electronics package that includes cruise control will unlock improved highway cruising capabilities for the 2025 KTM 390 Duke
KTM recently launched the 2025 KTM 390 Adventure with an upgraded equipment list that includes cruise control. The same update will be available with the 2025 KTM 390 Duke as well. Ahead of its launch, 2025 KTM 390 Duke bikes have started arriving at dealerships. Let’s check out all the new features expected with the 2025 KTM 390 Duke.
2025 KTM 390 Duke – Cruise control, new colour
With cruise control, driver fatigue can be reduced on long journeys. The desired speed can be maintained automatically, something that does away with the need to continuously hold the throttle at a certain speed. By maintaining a steady speed, users can also benefit from slightly improved fuel efficiency. Riding more miles on cruise control results in higher fuel savings compared to manual throttle control.
    2025 KTM 390 Duke
Cruise control can also contribute to improved safety to some extent. For example, sudden speed variations noticed sometimes with manual throttle control can be avoided. Furthermore, users can focus more on the road environment, instead of fussing over throttle adjustments. With a steady speed, other road users can better anticipate your movements, further improving overall safety. Cruise control can also be useful across roads and highway stretches where a strict speed limit may be in place. It will help avoid accidental over speeding and the subsequent fines.
In other updates, 2025 KTM 390 Duke also gets a new Gunmetal Grey colour scheme. It is an exciting mix of matte grey, glossy black and KTM’s signature orange shade. Especially captivating is the matte gray finish on the fuel tank, front fender and the underseat panelling. The glossy black shade can be seen on the headlamp cowl and tank extensions.
    2025 KTM 390 Duke
The latter also have the orange shade and ‘390’ lettering. Parts of the frame are also painted in the orange shade. This tri-colour theme with focus on grey and black ensures a powerful road presence for 2025 KTM 390 Duke. The existing model is available in colour options of Atlantic Blue and Electronic Orange.
    2025 KTM 390 Duke
    Same powertrain
2025 KTM 390 Duke will continue with the existing LC4C, 399cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled, DOHC engine that generates 46 PS and 39 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Much of the equipment list will also be the same. While cruise control will be beneficial, the bike already offers various other advanced features. Users can access ride modes of Street, Rain and Track. The Track mode can unlock exhilarating experiences in a track environment when used in combination with the Launch Control.
Other advanced features available with KTM 390 Duke include motorcycle traction control (MTC), cornering ABS, quickshifter + and Supermoto ABS. KTM 390 Duke is equipped with a 5-inch bonded glass TFT dashboard. It has dedicated 4-way menu switches that allow users to easily navigate through the various functions.
