2022 Honda CB300RIn its BS4 format, the Honda CB300R was priced at Rs 2.41 lakh – Now, in BS6 format it is priced at Rs 2.77 lakh
Honda has finally launched the BS6 iteration of CB300R in India at an introductory price of Rs 2.77 lakh (ex-showroom). The street naked bike went off the shelves after emission norms were updated from BS4 to BS6 standards in April 2020. The bike made its maiden appearance at the recently concluded India Bike Week in Dec 2020.
The Japanese bikemaker first launched CB300R in India in 2019 but was discontinued a year later. 2022 Honda CB300R localization content is higher than before. Even the new BS6 compliant engine is being developed by the company at its Gujarat-based plant.
    2022 Honda CB300R- Styling
The 2022 CB300R is essentially the same bike as the discontinued BS4 model with subtle revisions to its styling even though the overall design has been kept intact. Mild updates like a black headlamp bezel (for black colour variant) and darker radiator cowls give the bike a fresh appeal. The blacked-out internals and running gear give the motorcycle a sporty dual-tone theme.
Other notable styling highlights include a neo-retro LED headlamp, a sculpted fuel tank, exposed frame, rugged-styled engine guard, chunky upswept exhaust and split-style seats. The exhaust will be laced with chrome accents thus providing a premium look to the bike. 2022 CB300R will be available in two colour options namely Candy Chromosphere Red and Matte Axis Grey Metallic.
    2022 Honda CB300R Specs

At this price point, smartphone connectivity and navigation should have been part of the package.
Mr. Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director – Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. said, “Wait is finally over for the CB300R in its new 2022 avatar. A fun ride on city-streets and lightest in its class, new CB300R comes with Assist & Slipper clutch which reduces fatigue and Golden Upside Down Forks which offer riding precision and enhanced sporty appeal.”

2022 Honda CB300R BS6 Specs Leak Ahead Of Launch

Image – Technical DocksUnlike the BS4 model that was imported as CKD, new Honda BS6 CB300R will be manufactured locally
With growing preference for 200cc-500cc motorcycles, Honda will be bringing back its popular CB300R. Launch is expected in January 2022. This will be the smallest capacity bike in Honda’s big bikes range in India. CB300R was launched in 2019, but was discontinued when stricter emission norms came into effect.
    Honda BS6 CB300R details
As revealed at India Bike Week 2021, 2022 Honda CB300R is largely the same as BS4 model. Some key features include retro-style round headlamp, flat and wide handlebar, exposed frame, rugged-styled engine guard, sculpted fuel tank, split seat, and chunky upswept exhaust. New BS6 CB300R gets golden USD forks, which significantly enhances its sporty character. In comparison, the BS4 model had USD forks in metallic shade.
New CB300R continues with the blacked-out look and feel. This theme is evident with the blacked-out parts such as headlamp casing, engine, frame and alloy wheels. Exhaust comes in an exciting contrast of black with chrome accents.
It is possible that colour options could be updated for new Honda CB300R. BS4 model was available in colour options of Candy Chromosphere Red and Matte Axis Grey Metallic. Another key change could be a new LCD multifunction meter. It could be a lighter, slimmer unit as compared to that of BS4 model. A new range of Bluetooth-based connectivity features could be on offer as well.
    2022 Honda CB300R BS6 – Specs
    2022 Honda CB300R BS6 Specs
New CB300R will use the same engine as earlier, which has been updated to comply with BS6 emission norms. In its BS4 format, the bike was powered by a 286cc liquid cooled motor. It generates 30.4 hp of max power at 8,000 rpm and 27.4 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 rpm. In its BS6 format, the engine delivers max power of 22.9 kW / 30.7 hp @ 9,000 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed multiplate wet clutch transmission.
Responsive, free-revving profile of the engine ensures that it can suit the needs of both urban commutes and highway cruising. The engine is equipped with a counter-balancer, which further enhances overall ride experience.
The bike utilizes a lightweight, yet strong steel chassis, integrated with USD forks at front and monoshock rear suspension. It has 17-inch wheels at both ends, shod with 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tyre. Braking duties are performed by 296 mm disc at front and 220 mm disc at rear. Dual-channel ABS is offered as standard.
    2022 Honda CB300R BS6
By manufacturing the bike locally, Honda should be able to launch BS6 CB300R at a competitive price point. Just before BS4 model was discontinued, the bike was available at Rs 2.41 lakh. BS6 CB300R will continue to rival the likes of KTM 390 Duke (~ Rs 2.87 lakh) and BMW G310R (~ Rs 2.60 lakh).
Just like its predecessor, new Honda CB300R will be sold via the company’s Big Wing outlets. It will have a better reach now, as Honda is working to expand Big Wing dealership network across India. This is part of the company’s plan to aggressively target the middleweight motorcycle segment. 2022 Honda Supra GTR 150 Breaks Cover – Yamaha Aerox 155 Rival

2022 Honda Supra GTR 150Supra GTR is Honda’s second range of sporty scooters after Forza, the latter offers Maxi-style scooters of multiple engine displacements
Honda has launched an updated version of Supra GTR 150 scooter in select international markets. The latest set of yearly updates to the Maxi scooter is strictly cosmetic and subtle in nature. While the sports scooter is retailed as Supra GTR 150 in Indonesia, in Vietnam it will be offered as Winner X.
In the latest iteration, Supra GTR 150 gets a revised front end which looks meaner and more aggressive than its predecessor. The front apron now features a dual pod LED headlamp setup that boasts an angular and geometric design. The apron itself seems to have widened and looks a lot more muscular.
    2022 Supra GTR 150- Styling
Just like a traditional superbike, the apron flows down till the underbelly. The raised tail section of Supra GTR looks equally sharp and sporty with its sleek fender and split grab rails. It also receives a black side-on upswept exhaust.
Like most Maxi-scooters, Supra GTR doesn’t feature a prominent footboard as the space between two legs is dominated by a large transmission tunnel. That said, riding ergonomics is similar to those of a commuter motorcycle with a handlebar, centre-set footpegs and an accessible seat height of 786 mm.

    Hardware & Powertrain Specs
In terms of features, the 2022 Supra GTR offers gizmos such as a LED headlamp, LED tail lamp, a USB charging port, and a blue backlit fully-digital instrument cluster. Coming to its dynamics, the scooter rides on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends that are wrapped around by tubeless tyres.

Supra GTR 150 sits on conventional telescopic forks at front and a mono-shock at rear. Braking duties are handled by a single disc brake at each end which is aided by a single-channel ABS. Supra GTR isn’t expected to go on sale in the Indian market. This space is currently occupied by scooters like Yamaha Aerox 155 and Aprilia SXR 160.
    2022 Honda Supra GTR 150
    Yamaha Aerox 155

2022 Honda CBR250RR New Trico Edition Colour Debuts

2022 Honda CBR250RR New Trico Colour EditionApart from the new colour, 2022 Honda CBR250RR will continue with the same set of features as current model
To ensure a better match with CBR Fireblade DNA, Honda has introduced a new Trico Edition variant for CBR250RR in Malaysian market. It replaces the red colour scheme that was introduced in 2020. Price remains unchanged at RM 25,999, which is approximately Rs 4.67 lakh (ex-sh).
2022 Honda CBR250RR New Trico Edition details
As the name suggests, the new colour scheme is a combination of three primary colours – red, blue and white. Red shade is predominant, as can be seen on the front fender, headlamp cowl, side fairing, fuel tank and seat frame. Blue shade is used on the sides in a linear manner, stretching from the side fairing to the rear seat frame. Third highlight is the white shade that is used on side fairing and for branding elements.
Intermix of red, blue and white create an exciting contrast with the blacked-out bits. Much of the bike’s core parts are blacked-out such as chassis, alloy wheels, sections of front cowl, and engine. USD forks in golden finish further enhance the bike’s sporty profile.
Second colour option for Honda CBR250RR is Mat Gunpowder Black Metallic, which has been retained as is. It is essentially an all-black theme with contrasting red highlights. It too has golden USD forks. While Trico Edition seems more fun and livelier, the black theme is all about stealth, power and intrigue.
2022 Honda CBR250RR New Trico Edition
2022 Honda CBR250RR engine and specs
Hardware is largely the same as current mode. Honda CBR250RR is powered by a parallel twin cylinder 249.7 cm, liquid cooled motor. It generates 40 hp of max power at 13,000 rpm and 25 Nm of peak torque at 11,000 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike has assist slipper clutch and quick shifter, which work to improve overall ride dynamics. It also has throttle-by-wire system controls.
A uniquely-shaped full LCD digital instrument console sits snugly at the front. It displays a range of information such as fuel gauge, gear position and ride mode. There are three ride modes, Comfort, Sport and Sport+. The bike has diamond truss frame with USD front forks and 5-way adjustable monoshock unit at rear. Braking system comprises disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS as standard.
    Honda CBR250RR India launch?
It is unlikely that Honda CBR250RR will be launched in India. In terms of sale volumes, there’s limited scope for fully-faired quarter litre bikes in Indian market. Honda will focus more on mid-weight motorcycle segment, where it has had good response to bikes like CB350 and CB350RS.
Over the next three years, Honda plans to increase sales in this segment to around 3 lakh units per annum. To make it possible, multiple new products are expected to be introduced. Honda is also working to increase its BigWing outlets to boost sales of its big bikes. More

2022 Honda Navi Modified By Workshops In The USA

2022 Honda Navi ModifiedHonda is offering its own range of customisation packs called Icon and TrueTimber with Navi in USA
Just a few days ago, Honda Navi went on sale in USA at a launch price of USD 1,807 (approx. INR 1.34 lakh). Barely a week later, custom Navi motorcycles were showcased at the model’s media ride event at Westside Museum in Southern California. These projects have been given life by two US-based aftermarkets workshops- MNNTHBX and Steady Garage.
2022 Honda Navi Modified were also displayed at last month’s IMS Outdoors motorcycle show at OC Fair & Event Center. The two workshops mentioned above were given early access to the platform by the bikemaker to enable potential buyers and fans to see the possibilities that can be achieved.
    MNNTHBX- Race-inspired Navi
Both aftermarket brands dressed up the miniMoto in their respective manner that gave Navi a more serious look. Starting with the one created by MNNTHBX, the workshop has incorporated a racetrack pit bike theme for its build. In this iteration of Navi, the bike flaunts racy red, white and blue graphics which are complemented by a matte black finish of internals, alloy wheels, handlebar and front forks to lend it a sporty appeal.
Ergonomics have been revised with a Renthal low-positioned MX-style handlebar while dynamics of the bike have been made sportier with a single shock absorber sourced from Öhlins. Further, it gets a fully custom-built Yoshimura exhaust wrapped in carbon fibre. In order to make it more appealing for Gen Z, MNNTHBX has plonked a full sound system including two 6.5 inch Kicker speakers between the rider’s legs.
    2022 Honda Navi Modified
    Steady Garage- Going Neo-Retro
Steady Garage, on the other hand, takes a different approach on Navi which appears to take inspiration from Grom and Ruckus- the other two miniMotos in Honda’s portfolio. The biggest highlight is the larger and wider rear tyre which they have barely managed to fit. It has been equipped with a unique custom exhaust with stainless-steel flex pipe and twin outlet tips.
In this version of a custom Navi, Steady Garage has employed a high-end custom-built mono-shock by Taiwanese company Gears Racing. All these modifications lead to a clean look of the miniMoto. Another interesting feature is the custom-built saddle wrapped in carbon fibre following the lines of the diamond tail. The paintwork on body panels is all custom with the most eye-catching touch being the illuminated pinstriping.
The LED strips change colours giving Navi the effect of a rolling neon sign. Another unique detail is a retro helmet visor attached to the headlamp. Interested Navi owners can opt for their favourite customization as both MNNTHBX and Steady Garage will offer several of the components used in their projects.
In addition, Honda Signature Accessories is offering special graphics kits that were developed in a pair of collaborations. Powered by a 109.2cc single-cylinder mill, Honda Navi sold in USA is being exported from India. More
