    Hero MotoCorp Sales Aug 2022 – Splendor, Passion, Deluxe, Maestro

    Domestic sales of Hero MotoCorp increased significantly on YoY basis while exports fell by nearly 50 percent in August 2022New Hero SplendorTwo wheeler sales in India have seen an increase in the past month. Demand was boosted after a lull of 2 years and further augmented by a favorable monsoon season that boosted rural demand. The festive season has also caused more footfalls into company showrooms on auspicious dates while the weeks ahead could also bring in added sales for the company.Multiple new launches, among which were the Super Splendor 125 Canvas Black Edition and Hero Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition, that latter which has just been opened for bookings, has also stirred up interest among buyers in the country.Hero MotoCorp Sales August 2022Hero MotoCorp motorcycle sales in August 2022 stood at 4,30,799 units, up from 4,20,609 units sold in August 2021. Top selling motorcycles from Hero include Splendor, Deluxe, Passion, Xpulse, Xtreme, etc. Scooter sales on the other hand, dipped marginally to 31,809 units in August 2022 down from 33,270 units sold in August 2021. Top selling Hero scooters include Destini, Maestro, etc. They are getting ready to launch a new 125cc scooter to rival TVS Ntorq.This took total two wheeler sales up 1.92 percent to 4,62,608 units in August 2022 as against 4,53,879 units sold in August 2021. It was also a MoM growth from 4,45,580 units sold in July 2022. Domestic sales of both motorcycles and scooters were at 4,50,740 units in August 2022 from 4,31,137 units sold in August 2021. Exports however, saw a YoY de-growth to 11,868 units in August 2022, from 22,742 units sold in August 2021 relating to a near 50 percent de-growth.Hero MotoCorp Sales Aug 2022Where motorcycle sales were concerned, there was also a YTD growth to 21,58,381 units in the FY 2022-23 period, an increase over 18,04,324 units sold in FY 2021-22. In terms of scooters, YTD sales improved to 1,40,000 units in the FY 2022-23 period from 1,28,460 units sold in the same period of the previous year.In domestic markets, Hero MotoCorp sales of motorcycles and scooters stood at 22,09,590 units in the FY 2022-23 period, up from 19,32,784 units sold in the same period of last year. Exports dipped to 88,791 units in the FY2022-23 period, down from 1,31,732 units sold in the same period last year. This took total sales to 22,99,381 units in the FY 2022-23 period, notably higher when compared to 19,32,784 units sold in the FY 2022-23 period.Xpulse Xperience CenterIn related news, Hero MotoCorp also opened its first ever ‘Xpulse Xperience Center’ in Bengaluru. It is designed for off-road riding with biking tracks and special infrastructure to offer Xpulse 200 4V riders a unique racing experience.Hero MotoCorp had also recently commenced deliveries of the limited-edition Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition which is priced at Rs 1,52,100. 100 units that comprised the first batch have all been delivered to customers and bookings for the second batch are set to commence soon. Hero XPulse 200 4V Rally Edition comes in with several upgrades over the standard version of the bike and is powered by a 200cc single cylinder, oil cooled, fuel injected engine making 18.9 hp power and 17.35 Nm torque mated to a 5 speed gearbox.     Upcoming Hero 300cc Motorcycles Spied Up Close – New Spy Shots

    Hero MotoCorp seems to be launching 300 cc versions of all of its current 200 cc bikesUpcoming Hero Motorcycles 300cc segmentHero has been synonymous with budget commuters in India crashing sales charts month after month like a pawn in a chess game. But at the upper end of its price spectrum, Hero doesn’t enjoy much action like say, Royal Enfield enjoys. Currently, Hero has XPulse 200 off-roader, 200T tourer which will soon get a 4V head and Xtreme 200S.It is not that Hero doesn’t know how to make faired bikes or ADVs. Hero had the Karizma ZMR on which Hritik Roshan nullifies a freaking tornado with a 20 bhp bike weighing 157 kg. I mean, it was corny. But hey, we’re Indians and we love corny stuff.Hero also had the brilliant Impulse 150 ADV with 245mm ground clearance. With XPulse 200, Hero has taken its off-roading game literally a notch above with recently launched Rally Edition. So, they have a pedigree and with the upcoming 300cc platform, Hero is likely to shine bright. Also, Hero gets its pricing spot on, pretty much every time and a vast dealer network with maintenance costing peanuts doesn’t hurt either.Upcoming Hero 300cc MotorcyclesWhen Hero launched its 200cc platform, XPulse 200 off-roader rose to fame instantly owing to its brilliance. 200T tourer and Xtreme 200S didn’t receive much love from Indians as they were not as appealing as the former. But with 300cc platform Hero should work on making all three products equally appealing.Upcoming Hero Motorcycles 300cc segmentLast time, we saw three Hero motorcycles on test which was just two before. New set of spy shots also has three test mules and confirms that Hero is set to launch XPulse 300 Off-roader, 300T dual-sport and Xtreme 300S sport bike. Hero’s developments come at a time when mid-size segment is seeing steady growth with Royal Enfield leading the sales charts.Currently, XPulse 200T gets alloy wheels and mostly looks like a naked bike. But looking at the XPulse 300T, it seems to get a bikini fairing like we saw with Bajaj AS series and also a small front beak. It gets spoked wheels instead of alloys on 200T and gets block pattern tyres that are fatter than XPulse 300 off-roader. It also seems to get a stubby exhaust which is a lot smaller than XPulse 300 off-roader.Coming to the star of this show, we have an XPulse 300 off-roader which is what I’d bet my money on. It gets a split seat layout and looks like a much more substantial product in terms of size. It also seems to get a space frame like Himalayan to mount jerry cans. The tyres are skinnier than 300T and are visually a much taller machine. But the front wheel doesn’t look to be 21” as seen on XPulse 200. It might just be the angle in the picture, though. We say this because Karizma ZMR was a thicc boi with a fat fairing. It was disproportionate from most angles too. 300S has a big fairing too, but it doesn’t look disproportionate as the bigger platform gets fatter wheels and other components. It is the only one to get alloy wheels too.When it comes to similarities between all three test mules, they have a few. For starters, let’s cover ‘first for a Hero’ components which are a trellis frame, a 300cc engine with around 30 bhp and 25 Nm, a 6-speed gearbox, liquid cooling, and front USD forks, to name a few. Other notable updates include a larger and squarish display for instrumentation and we can expect slightly better switchgear too. All three of these bikes will lock horns with similar motorcycles from TVS, Bajaj, Royal Enfield, Jawa, Yezdi and more. More

    2023 Hero 300cc XPulse, XPulse T, Xtreme S – 3 New Motorcycles Spied

    With mid-size segment registering strong growth, Hero MotoCorp is getting ready to tap this space with two new 300cc bikes2023 Hero 300cc Motorcycles – XPulse 300, XPulse 300T and Xtreme 300SWhile it’s the country’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, Hero MotoCorp has a fairly lopsided portfolio, maxing out at 200cc range. As consumer preferences are evolving, Hero will be looking to diversify its portfolio. It could start with mid-size segment that has been witnessing strong growth, with multiple new products launched in recent years.In the earlier set of spy shots, only two motorcycles of Hero were spied. As revealed in latest spy shots by Sarathi of KALKI, Hero MotoCorp is working on three new bikes, an ADV, an ADV tourer and a fully-faired sportsbike. These are likely to have a 300cc motor and could be named XPulse 300, XPulse 300T and Xtreme 300S. Launch is expected in 2023. While engine will be same, power and torque output may be adjusted for each of these 300cc bikes.The Three New Hero Motorcycles – Xtreme 300S, Xpulse 300T and Xpulse 300.Hero XPulse 300 and Xpulse 300 TXPulse 300 ADVs and its faired sibling will be using a trellis frame, which will be a first for Hero MotoCorp. Hero’s 450RR Dakar Rally motorcycle does have a trellis frame, but that bike is not commercially produced. XPulse 300 concept was showcased at Hero World 2020 event with a new motor and trellis frame. It is possible that launch of Hero 300cc bikes could have been delayed due to the pandemic.Some of the key features of Hero XPulse 300 include raised front fender, aggressive headlamp cowl with compact windscreen, trendy rear view mirrors, skeletal body and rugged engine bash plate. The bike is likely to get a full-digital instrument console with Bluetooth-based connectivity features. XPulse 300 has wire-spoke wheels with knobby tyres, which highlight its off-roading capabilities.New Hero XPulse 300T and Xpulse 300Wheel size could be similar to Himalayan that has 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel. Braking setup comprises disc brakes at both ends and dual-channel ABS could be offered as standard. The bike has USD front forks and monoshock suspension at rear.New Hero Xpulse 300 cc RangeXpulse 300T can be seen with a different styling, more suited for being an adnture tourer. Upon launch, XPulse 300 range will take on rivals such as Royal Enfield Himalayan, Yezdi Adventure, KTM 390 Adventure and BMW G310GS.Hero Xtreme 300SOverall silhouette of Xtreme 300S appears familiar to Xtreme 200S. Some key features include alloy wheels, aggressive front fascia, front cowl mounted rear view mirrors and prominent fairing.New Hero Xtreme 300S Fully FairedRiding stance is fairly committed with low-set handlebar and rear-set footpegs. Things like brakes and suspension will be the same as that of XPulse 300.     New Hero Xpulse 300, Xtreme 300S Spied – Himalayan, Pulsar Rival ?

    Hero was one of the OG companies to introduce India to ADVs, semi-faired and fully-faired bikesNew Hero Motorcycles Spied – Xpulse 300 and Xtreme 300S ?Hero MotoCorp is the largest motorcycle company in the world in terms of sales volume. But most of its sales come from entry level budget commuters that often don’t appeal to enthusiasts. So, the company had introduced its 200cc platform and had based XPulse 200 off-roader, XPulse 200T tourer and a fully-faired sporty Xtreme 200 S too.While XPulse 200 off-roader soon became an instant hit, the other two were not received that well. But Hero had promised the launch of their 300cc platform a couple of years ago which has not materialized until now. But it looks like they have interesting launches planned for 2023.Two new motorcycles have been spied testing in Leh Ladakh region by Gowtham Naidu. One is an adventure motorcycle and the other is a fully faired motorcycle. There is no confirmation as of now what these motorcycles are, but as per our best guess, these are likely to be upcoming Hero MotoCorp motorcycles.New Hero XPulse 300The main highlight of this development will be Hero XPulse 300 as Indian automotive enthusiasts had been waiting for a no-nonsense off-roader at an affordable price. Only Hero can pull something like this as we have seen with incredible value for money XPulse 200 that recently got a Rally Edition.New Hero Xpulse 300 Spied In Leh Ladakh?Back in 2020, Hero had showcased a 300cc engine mated to a trellis frame. Right now, Hero doesn’t have any trellis-frame product, except for the Hero 450RR Dakar Rally motorcycle (which isn’t road-legal). The showcased frame also had a red finish on its frame as the race-only 450RR.Hero Xpulse 300 Concept vs Production SpiedIn the video, Gowtham Naidu mentions that it is a Himalayan 450 test mule. But upon closer inspection, we could easily spot the same clutch cover, red trellis frame, front spoked wheels with petal disc, same swingarm and the chrome finished side stand from the concept shown in February 2020. The test mule also has the RJ 14 registration plate, which is Jaipur, where Hero R&D is located.New Hero XPulse 300 gets spoked wheels at the front and back. It is likely to retain the 21” at front and 18” at the rear as XPulse 200. But owing to larger size, it is likely to get fatter rubber. Beak at the front is also present, but is visually stubbier than on XPulse 200. The upcoming off-roader will compete with Royal Enfield Himalayan, KTM 390 Adventure, Yezdi Adventure and BMW G 310 GS that recently got colour upgrades.Hero Xpulse 300 Concept vs Production SpiedNew Hero Xtreme 300SComing to Hero’s fully-faired 300cc test mule, it does look like a sizeable product and not lean and sharp like KTM RC 390. Going with previous fully-faired Hero bikes like Karizma ZMR, we can expect Xtreme 300S to be a decently large product. Xtreme 300S gets neatly designed fairing, alloy wheels, sporty clip-on handlebars and a lot more.Xtreme 300S is likely to get the same 300 cc engine as the XPulse 300 but in a different state of tune to suit the character of the bike. It will get road-spec tyres unlike AT tyres on XPulse 300. If Hero pulls off the design well, we might witness popularity of Hero’s fully-faired products going up significantly. In effect, 300S would be a fitting alternative to current faired machines like RC 390, BMW G 310 RR, and Apache RR 310.Hero Xtreme 300S Fully Faired Motorcycle?Specs & LaunchWe can expect the engine to displace a little over 300cc and make almost 27-30 bhp and around 25 Nm of torque. Both XPulse 300 and Xtreme 300S will get the same engines. Hero is also likely to introduce an XPulse 300T, a touring version of this platform at a later date.If everything goes according to Hero’s roadmap, we can expect both XPulse 300 and Xtreme 300S to launch in early 2023.     Hero MotoCorp has posted marginal growth in domestic sales while exports dipped in July 2022New Hero SplendorHero MotoCorp, the largest two wheeler maker in the world has had an eventful month of July 2022. The company introduced the Super Splendor 125 Canvas Black Edition in 2 variants, priced at Rs. 77,430 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the front drum brake variant and at Rs 81,330 for the front disc brake variant.There was also the 2022 Hero Xtreme 160R that was launched at Rs 1.17 lakh to Rs. 1.23 lakh. This new model comes with new features and is offered in 3 variants of Single Disc, Dual Disc and Stealth Edition. Hero MotoCorp also hiked prices across its motorcycle and scooter range in the past month.While motorcycle and scooter sales dipped in export markets in July 2022 and grew only marginally by 1,476 units in terms of YoY domestic sales, the company looks forward to more positive sales in the coming months. Top sellers include the likes of Splendor, Passion, Glamour, Deluxe, Pleasure, Maestro, etc.Hero MotoCorp YTD Sales FY23Year to date sales during the period April to July 2022 also grew in terms of domestic sales while exports dipped. Hero MotoCorp recorded sales of 17,27,582 units of motorcycles sold in the April-July 2022 period as compared to 13,83,715 units sold in the same four month period of 2021.Scooter sales also increased to 1,08,191 units in the April-July 2022 period from 95,190 units sold in the same period of 2021. This took total YTD sales to 18,35,773 units in FY23 period up from 14,78,905 units sold in FY2022 period relating to a double-digit growth of 24.1 percent.Domestic sales accounted for 17,58,850 units in the YTD FY2022 period up from 13,69,915 units sold in YTD FY2022 while exports stood at 76,923 units and 1,08,990 units respectively relating to a 32,067 unit volume de-growth. This was a YoY growth of 5.77 percent as against 4,37,905 units sold in June 2021. MoM sales on the other hand dipped marginally by 0.70 percent from 4,66,438 units sold in May 2022.The leading two wheeler maker in India has also announced a price hike from July 2022 across its motorcycle and scooter range. This price hike across its motorcycle lineup ranges from Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,638 depending on model. The prices of scooters have also been increased by Rs 528 to Rs 1,630.Hero MotoCorp Sales Breakup June 2022In domestic markets, it was the Hero Splendor that topped sales charts with 2,70,923 units sold in June 2022, up 2.62 percent from 2,64,009 units sold in June 2021. This was a 6,914 unit volume growth. MoM sales also improved 3.31 percent from 2,62,249 units sold in May 2022. It was followed at No. 2 by the HF Deluxe with sales of 1,13,155 units, up 2.20 percent YoY from 1,10,724 units sold in June 2021. MoM sales suffered a de-growth of 11.13 percent over 1,27,330 units sold in May 2022.Hero Glamour (30,105 units) and Passion (18,560 units) posted both YoY and MoM growth respectively. However, sales of the Hero Pleasure dipped to 11,321 units, down 34.93 percent YoY from 17,397 units sold in June 2021. MoM sales fell by 38.91 percent over 18,531 units sold in May 2022.Hero MotoCorp Sales June 2022. Splendor and Deluxe range contributes to almost 83% of total Hero sales in domestic market.There was also the Destini 125 (7,731 units), XPulse 200 (4,642 units), Xtreme 160R (3,806 units) and Maestro (2,937 units) on the domestic list, each of which posted a YoY growth. MoM sales however dipped for each of these models except for the XPulse 200 which saw a 33.35 percent increase in sales over 3,481 units sold in May 2022.Hero MotoCorp Exports Breakup June 2022 In global markets, Hero MotoCorp suffered a YoY de-growth of 29.33 percent to 21,657 units shipped in June 2022, down from 30,646 units sold in June 2021. MoM exports however increased by 7.01 percent from 20,238 units shipped in May 2022. Here it was Hero HF Deluxe that saw most buyers globally. Sales increased 76.43 percent to 5,681 units from 3,220 units sold in June 2021. MoM sales were also higher by 3.88 percent when compared to 5,469 units shipped in May 2022. Hero HF Deluxe had a 26.23 percent share in the company lineup in June 2022.Exports of Hero Hunk dipped on a YoY basis by 8.39 percent to 4,924 units in June 2022 but increased 78.99 percent MoM when compared to 2,751 units shipped in May 2022. Hero Glamour exports improved 319.48 percent YoY  and 71.66 percent MoM to 3,876 units while exports also increased YoY and MoM in the case of Xpulse 200 by 17.16 percent and  31 percent respectively to 2,772 units.Hero MotoCorp Exports June 2022Hero Splendor, which was a top favourite in domestic markets, failed to attract much attention overseas. Sales dipped 83.05 percent YoY to 1,507 units in June 2022 from 8,891 units sold in June 2021. MoM sales also fell by 77.33 percent from 6,648 units shipped in May 2022.Passion exports were at 1,440 units in the past month, up 220 percent MoM over 450 units shipped in May 2022 while exports of the Maestro dipped YoY by 18.77 percent to 1,233 units but increased MoM by 126.65 percent from 544 units shipped in May 2022. The export list also included Hero Pleasure (192 units) and Destini 125 (32 units), while there were 0 units of Achiever, Xtreme 160 and Xtreme 160/200 exported in the past month.  More

As seen in our sales charts, Hero sold 3,83,165 units in June 2022, but it saw a decline of 7.76% YoY when compared to June 2021 with a difference of 32,320 units in total. Most of Hero MotoCorp sales come from budget offerings led by Splendor and the likes.But when it comes to premium offerings like Xtreme 160R and XPulse series, they don’t generate as many sales. But 160 cc segment is currently heating up again with the launch of Bajaj Pulsar N160 and it gets most of the good stuff from Pulsar N250. We also have the TVS Apache 160 4V which is currently the benchmark.Hero had launched its Xtreme 160R in this segment hoping to capture some of the market shares. But with the launch of Pulsar N160, Hero had to do something to keep its 160 cc offering competitive and hence they have given it a slight update for 2022 model year.2022 Hero Xtreme 160R LaunchedFor 2022 model year, Hero has slightly updated its potent Xtreme 160R. The upgrade is in the form of a gear position indicator on the LCD instrument cluster. Xtreme 160R gets a negative LCD panel displaying information like speedometer, tachometer, dual trip meter, clock and some more features. It lacked a gear-position indicator and now, Hero has added just that.Xtreme 160R has a muscular profile and gets an LED headlamp, LED DRLs, LED turn indicators, a sculpted fuel tank, a stubby tail section and a unique LED tail lamp that gets a blacked-out finish.
