    Ducati V4 Granturismo
Displacing 1,158 cc, the new Ducati V4 Granturismo is tuned to produce 170 hp at 10,500 rpm and 175 Nm of torque at 8,750 rpm. The impressive performance comes with Euro 5 emission compliance. The motor will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox with bi-directional Quickshifter.
Ducati has worked intensely on making the new V4 motor as light and compact as possible. At 66.7 kg, the Granturismo mill is 1.2 kg lighter than the outgoing L-twin Testastretta 1260 engine.
This was achieved by means of in-depth expertise in the fields of materials, treatments and technical solutions based on Ducati’s popular Desmodromic system. With an introduction of spring valve return system, Ducati claims that the motor has a impressively long maintenance interval of 60,000 km!

  • 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4 Production Starts – 1st Motorcycle With Radar Tech

The 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4 is the first production motorcycle to be equipped with front and rear radars for rider assistance systems
The 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4 has entered production at the Audi-owned sportsbike marque’s Borgo Panigale facility near Bologna, Italy. In its fourth generation, the popular adventure tourer ditches the L-Twin motor in favor of Ducati’s new V4 unit. The all-new adventure tourer will make its world premiere on November 4.
    2021 Ducati Multistrada V4

The fourth-gen Multistrada V4 is claimed to be the first production-spec motorcycle to be equipped with front and rear radar technology. In 2016, Ducati worked in collaboration with the department of electronics, information and bio-engineering at Politecnico di Milano, Italy’s leading technical university, on rider aid systems. Four years down the line, Ducati has brought a comprehensive radar-based rider assistance systems to the market in association with Bosch.
    Ducati radar technology
The radar system on board the 2021 Ducati Multistrada V4 involves two compact radar units 70 x 60 x 28 mm, roughly the size of a modern action camera. Each unit weights around 190 grams and integrates neatly into the motorcycle’s bodywork.

The front radar unit is responsible for Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) just like in the cars. This system modulates the motorcycle’s braking and acceleration to automatically regulate the distance from the vehicle ahead. Designed to function in 4 configurable stages between speeds of 30 to 160 kmph, the radar-based ACC has been tuned to suit the dynamics and ergonomics of a motorcycle. Of course, the rider will be able to maintain constant control of the vehicle in any scenario even when the ACC is operational.
The rear radar unit functions as a blind-spot monitor to warn the rider of vehicles that are not visible on the rear-view mirrors. The rear unit also warns the rider of a fast approaching vehicle from behind. The control algorithms related to Ducati Radar Technology have been the subject of a patent which was filed in 2017.

    2021 Ducati Multistrada Design
Along with the production announcement, Ducati has also teased the motorcycle through a set of images. While the entire motorcycle is not visible, we can observe that the 2021 Ducati Multistrada retains its instantly recognizable styling but sports sharper elements. The front radar module is located between the twin LED headlamps while the rear unit is nestled below the taillight.

The exact specifications of the new lightweight V4 engine on board the Multistrada still remain under the wraps. So far, the V4 unit is available in two displacement configurations on board the Panigale and Streetfighter models.
The new flagship adventure tourer will be launched in India sometime next year. Expect the prices to start well above INR 20 lakh (Ex-showroom). More

  • Ducati Panigale V2 India Launch Price Rs 16.99 Lakh

Indian superbike enthusiasts have been eagerly waiting for the Panigale ever since it was announced that it will be making its way here
Whenever any biking enthusiast thinks of superbikes, one of the first brands which is ought to cross the mind is Ducati. Now, when one speaks of Ducati, he/she has to mention the Panigale which has been the aspiration of every speed seeking rider.

The Panigale moniker holds the same significance to Ducati as the Mustang holds for Ford. After waiting for an eternity, Indian motorcyclists will get to experience this thrilling ride as the Italian bike maker has launched the Panigale V2 in India.
    Price
The Panigale V2 has been priced at Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-sh), which is evidently on the expensive side. It replaces the discontinued Panigale 959 and is now the company’s entry-level motorcycle in the country. Ducati has already commenced the bookings of the new Panigale V2 at a token amount of Rs 1 lakh. The company says that deliveries of the bike are expected to begin soon.

The new Panigale V2 made its maiden appearance at EICMA last year. It was initially scheduled to be launched earlier this year but the Covid-19 pandemic forced the makers to put the official launch on hold. The Panigale V2 is currently the only BS6 compliant offering from Ducati in India. However, the Italian bike maker plans to add a more powerful Panigale to its portfolio- the Panigale V4.
    Powertrain
Performance is the biggest highlight of Ducati Panigale V2 as expected. This is due to a 955cc Superquadro twin cylinder motor which pumps out a healthy 155 bhp at 10,750 rpm and a torque of 104 Nm at 9,000 rpm. This output figure is greater than what was obtained in the Panigale 959 thanks to the new and larger fuel injectors which are placed at a different working angle and a snorkel which efficiently minimizes losses.
This engine is married to a six-speed gearbox assisted by a slipper clutch. It also receives a bi-directional quick-shifter as standard. It also employs a new exhaust pipe which is rerouted underneath the engine.
    Features on offer
The new Panigale V2 is packed with electronic features which enhance the riding dynamics. These include Cornering ABS EVO, Ducati Wheelie Control EVO, Traction Control EVO 2, Engine Braking Control EVO and Quick Shift EVO Control among many others. These systems are based on a 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit that instantly detects the bike’s roll, yaw and pitch angles.
Other feature highlights include a new 4.3″ colour TFT instrument cluster. It comes with Ducati Multimedia System (DMS) for smartphone connectivity. It also gets three ride modes- Race, Street and Sport which could be operated through a switchgear on the handle.
    Design
The Panigale V2 borrows many design elements from its elder sibling- V4. For starters, the signature twin headlamp setup with integrated LED DRLs in eye-brows shape make it unmistakably a Panigale. The LED tail-light at the rear is also a dual part setup common to the Ducati convention. However, there are a few unique elements of the Panigale V2 which makes it distinct. It features a single-sided aluminium swingarm and a more chiselled fuel tank.

In India, it will be offered in two colours- White Rosso and Ducati Red. At almost Rs 17 lakh, it does feel a big pinch on the pocket but the owner gets the closest thing possible one could experience at a racing circuit with a MotoGP machine. It will compete with the likes of Suzuki GSX-R1000 and Kawasaki ZX-10R in the litre-class segment at the market. More

The Ducati Panigale V2 is essentially the successor to the brand’s phased-out Panigale 959. It employs the same 955cc Superquardro V-twin engine with significant revisions. The power plant churns out 153bhp @ 10,750rpm and 104Nm @ 9,000rpm. This is roughly 5bhp and 2Nm up from the BS4-compliant Panigale 959. Meanwhile, the bigger Ducati Panigale V4 is powered by a 1,103cc Desmosedici Stradale V4 mill good for 211bhp @ 13,000rpm and 124Nm @ 10,000rpm.
