Tata vs MG Electric Cars: An Advertising War for Your Attention

Tata vs MGTata vs. MG: The Electric Car War of Words – Advertisement Get Creative – Join the Debate
The advertising war between auto manufacturers is an interesting phenomenon that has been going on for years. In this case, we have jabs being traded over 2 respective electric vehicles.
What started as a single image shared by a Tata dealership on Facebook, has taken on a life of its own during the course of the day. The launch of the MG Comet micro EV has sparked a new advertising war. And it keeps the focus on electric cars. The marketing messages used on behalf of both companies reflect the growing conversations around electric vehicles, and the need to distinguish oneself in the marketplace.
Tata and MG: A Battle of Electric Proportions
“Own a car vs not a cartoon,” was the first find of the day. Highlighting the practicality of their electric cars. The word “car” suggests that Tata is offering a legitimate mode of transportation, while the word “cartoon” implies that the MG Comet is not a serious option. It likely plays on notions of being a more serious choice, as opposed to a quirky and playful vehicle like the MG Comet. Aka cartoon in this instance.
In response, the ongoing banter now positions the Comet as a new, modern, and technologically advanced option with their messaging “Ice age vs new age.” The word “ice age” suggests that Tata’s cars are outdated and old-fashioned, while “new age” implies that MG’s cars are futuristic and cutting-edge. MG is targeting customers who are looking for a stylish and cool car that stands out from the crowd. It positions MG Comet EV as a modern and forward-thinking option. It’s a clever play on words that plays on the idea of a technological revolution from the Ice Age to the New Age.
    Tata vs MG
Electric Car Advertising 101: Tata and MG Get Competitive
The messaging “Old school vs new cool” is a further attempt to position MG Comet as a modern and trendy car. The word “old school” could suggest that Tata’s cars are traditional, outdated, and reminiscent of the past, while “new cool” implies that MG’s cars are modern and fashionable. And thereby targeting customers who are looking for a car that reflects their personality and sense of style.
The notion “taxi or tech” is another dig at Tata, suggesting that their cars are only good for commercial use, while MG’s cars are high-tech and trendy. Probably to click with those who want a car that is not only functional but also represents their lifestyle and values.
Tata’s Taxi Cars vs. MG’s Sexy EVs: Electric Car Marketing Heats Up
Finally, “say tata to taxi vs drive something sexy” sounds a bit more like a direct challenge to Tata’s brand image. The word “taxi” suggests that Tata’s cars are taxis / cabs, while “sexy” implies that MG’s cars are sleek, stylish, and desirable.
These marketing messages are all about positioning respective brands in trying to distinguish themselves, and capture a share of the growing electric car market. If you are in the market for an electric car, take a test drive, weigh your options, and make an informed decision that suits your lifestyle and values. More

MG Comet EV Review: A Comprehensive Analysis of the New Mini Smart Electric Car

MG Comet EV ReviewComet EV by MG: Bold Design, Unconventional Aesthetics, a New Segment in the Indian Automotive Market
Creation of a new segment in the automotive market is a daunting task. It’s not something that can be achieved easily. Over the past 15 years, EMs have attempted to break into this market with varying degrees of success. Despite their efforts, none of them have been able to make a significant impact. And success has been elusive. Reva kicked up a storm but when the dust settled, there were none to be seen. Add to this the lack of infrastructure and government support in the early days.
Today, the market poses new challenges. And we’re excited to see that MG has decided to make a serious attempt by introducing Comet to the Indian market. I had a chance to get behind the wheel during the media drive, and could sense the excitement building up within me as I took the Comet through City streets.
MG Comet EV: The Quirky Electric small car with Smart Features
The Comet is a unique vehicle that can be categorised as a 3-door mini hatchback, kei-car, micro car, micro EV, or quadricycle-like. In my experience, when I first saw it, I couldn’t help but compare it to the compact cars in Japan, Kei cars. It had a similar vibe, but with a fully modern tech upgrade. In the Indian market, the Comet’s dimensions may remind one of dated cars like Tata Nano and Mahindra e2O. Despite its small size, it boasts seating capacity for 4 adults, which is impressive. The Comet draws power from a 17.3 kWh battery pack and claims to offer a range of 230kms, which works well for daily city commutes.
Along with its small dimensions, Comet has a highly polarizing design. Some might find it cute, stylish or clutter-breaking, while others may not appreciate its unconventional aesthetics. In my experience, the young are excited by its unique design and expressed their interest in driving one. On the other hand, older folks were genuinely curious. The design may appeal more to Millennials or GenZ customers, while an older audience might ask more questions due to its size. This makes sense as the older gen had fewer car owners, and the only car in the family had to be a family car that was to occupy the garage for years. Times have changed.
MG Comet EV Prices – bookings open 15th May 2023. Deliveries start soon after.
In my experience, I found the Comet to be quite visually appealing. Its functional tall boy design and neo-modern design theme stand out. The horizontal light bars at the front and rear are eye-catching and add a unique touch to the car’s overall look. Additionally, the illuminated MG logo at the bonnet is a nice touch that adds to the car’s stylish appearance.
MG Comet EV: A Micro Car that Seats Four
MG Comet is a 3-door mini hatchback/car, featuring two wide doors on each side. The car’s neo-modern design is carried over into the interiors, with a white and light grey color scheme that gives the cabin a spacious appearance. The generous glass panels allow ample natural light to enter the cabin, creating an airy and open feel despite the car’s compact size. However, the light colors used in the interior might require regular cleaning and maintenance, especially in polluted and dusty city environments.
Comet offers a decent seating capacity with front seats spacious enough to accommodate regular-sized adults. However, in my personal experience, I found the seats lacking in comfort and could have benefited from better upholstery. On the positive side, Comet provides steering rake adjustment to tailor to one’s comfort, although there is no reach setting available.
    MG Comet EV Launched
To access the rear seats, one needs to fold down the front seats and climb in. The co-passenger seat has a one-touch tumble and movement functionality, although it takes around 2-3 inputs. Getting in from the driver’s side is a bit more challenging, though. The back seats can comfortably accommodate two adults for short drives of around 30-40 minutes. However, anything beyond an hour could be a little difficult, as the lack of thigh support might make it uncomfortable for longer journeys. As for the boot space, it is almost non-existent. The rear seats have a 50:50 split and can be folded down to create room for two large suitcases.
In terms of features, as expected from an MG, Comet comes with a decent list of creature comforts. It boasts a 10-inch all-digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system (with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility), i-Smart functionality, and much more.
    MG Comet EV Launched
Some key call-outs would be the unique Apple iPod Shuffle inspired steering mounted controls, which caught my attention and added a touch of quirkiness to the overall design. The voice command feature is a great addition, as it is not only tuned for English but also Hinglish, making it more user-friendly for the Indian market. The manual AC is decently powerful and does the job of keeping the cabin cool in most weather conditions.
MG Comet EV: The Urban Car That’s Fun to Drive
Comet is a perfect fit for city commutes, and MG is not shy about calling it one. The electric hatchback is equipped with three drive modes: Eco, Normal, and Sports, with each mode providing a faster acceleration than the previous one. However, even the Eco mode provides enough power for most in-city maneuvers, and switching to Sports mode may not be necessary for overtaking other vehicles. The Comet’s electric motor generates 42 PS of power and 110 Nm of torque, which is impressive for its size and intended use.
    MG Comet EV Review
The Comet is stable when driven in a straight line, but it can feel a bit shaky when pushed to its limits due to the small 12-inch wheels. It’s best to adopt a cautious driving style and avoid any sudden or aggressive maneuvers. The steering feedback is decent, and the brakes have good bite and stopping power.
When it comes to the NVH levels, you may find yourself wishing for better insulation, particularly from a well-known brand like MG. The road noise can be considerable, and the whirring of the electric motor is also clearly audible. Moreover, the horn feels as if it’s placed right inside the cabin, which is partly true since the car’s compact design practically leaves no space for a long bonnet.
    MG Comet EV Review
MG Comet compact car: The Perfect Fit for City Commutes
MG claims that Comet has a certified range of 230kms. However, as with most range claims, they come with an ideal conditions disclaimer, and we don’t think that the practical range will go beyond 160-180 kms. In our driving experience, we managed a range of around 120 kms, which included considerable idling (stopping to film and shoot with AC on during the not yet peak Delhi summer heat), and generous use of the Sports mode.
The range itself may not be much of an issue as Comet is being marketed as a regular city EV. However, the lack of fast charging capability is a major drawback. MG is offering a 3.3 kW charger, which can take the battery from 10 to 80 percent in 5 hours, while a full charge takes 7 hours. With public fast charging infrastructure coming up in key cities, the absence of fast charging functionality could be a disadvantage for Comet owners.
    MG Comet EV Review
The Comet offers dual front airbags, ABS + EBD, ISOFIX mounts, TPMS, and an IP67 rated battery, which are all good safety features. However, we should note that as of now, there are no crash test reports available for the Comet.
MG Comet EV: The Stylish Micro Car that everyone’s talking about
There are several positives about the Comet, although there are also some areas where it falls short. Firstly, the indicated range of the car doesn’t seem to vary much when switching between different drive modes. Additionally, the NVH levels could be improved with better insulation. The lack of fast charging capability is questionable, especially considering the current availability of public fast charging infrastructure. Lastly, the 12-inch wheels don’t inspire much confidence in the driver.
    MG Comet EV Review
Despite the mentioned shortcomings, the Comet is a practical urban car that can be a suitable option as a second vehicle in a household with a larger ICE sedan or SUV. It may be a choice as a first or only car for younger folks who prefer a comfy and practical ride over a 2W.
In my opinion, the Comet from MG is an excellent option for those who typically drive solo (drives to office daily) or with just one passenger (school run) and have a daily driving route of around 40-50 km. This could take care of a quick round for daily chores too. When I was in the market for a new car, I was specifically looking for something that was affordable and practical, and the Comet seemed to tick all the boxes.
    MG Comet EV Launched
It’s impressive that the introductory starting price point of approximately 8 lakhs is going to attract many. As someone who prioritises cost-effectiveness, has a preference for electric cars, and doesn’t require a large vehicle, the Comet from MG could be a choice.
MG Comet has the potential to change the way we view cars in India, emphasising practicality, affordability, and convenience of a smart and small electric car for city driving. As someone who priorities efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, I think the Comet is an excellent choice for anyone who shares these values. More

Hyundai Ioniq 5 Electric Delivery Starts – First Owner Shares His Thoughts

Hyundai Ioniq 5 gets a sole powertrain option with a 215 bhp and 350 Nm single RWD layout promising 631 km of rangeHyundai Ioniq 5 Delivery Starts In India – First Owner
The South Korean brand launched Ioniq 5 in India some time ago and deliveries for the same have now commenced. First ever Ioniq 5 was delivered to its owner in Bangalore, by Blue Hyundai dealership. Ioniq 5 introductory price for first 500 customers is Rs. 44.95 lakh (ex-sh).
Pricing makes all the difference in a market like India. Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a unique offering at Rs. 44.95 lakh (ex-sh, introductory). At this price, it undercuts Kia EV6 and Volvo XC40 Recharge with comparable ethos and battery sizes. Hyundai has achieved this by offering only a single motor RWD variant and a smaller 72.6 kWh battery as opposed to a 77.4 kWh battery with up to dual motor setups on Kia EV6.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 Electric First Delivery Of India
The South Korean brand has launched Ioniq 5 in one fully-loaded variant. It shares most of its EV powertrain with Kia EV6. In terms of pricing, Ioniq 5 undercuts its Kia counterpart by quite some margin. It is one of the most well-received and critically acclaimed EVs in the world. It features a neo-retro design language, unlike anything else on the market. These were some of the thoughts in the mind of the first owner, Mr. Harshith M B.
At the time of taking delivery, Mr. Harshith M B said that he had been wanting to own this car since the day it was launched in South Korea and he is now very happy that he is the first owner of Ioniq 5 in India. The delivery event at Blue Hyundai was no less than a celebration. Take a look of the same in the video below.
    [embedded content]
Numbers for Hyundai Ioniq 5 are 217 bhp of power and 350 Nm of torque, while Kia EV6 can go till 325 bhp of power and 605 Nm of torque with dual motor AWD config. Ioniq 5 can travel 631 km (claimed) on a single charge. The 800V e-GMP architecture enables 350 kW of fast charging with claimed 10 – 80% charge in 18 minutes.
In India, 50 kW DC chargers are plenty and those will take 10 – 80% in 57 minutes. Another key strategy for Hyundai’s competitive pricing is the way Ioniq 5 is brought into the country. Hyundai imports Ioniq 5 via CKD route (Completely Knocked Down) with lesser 15% duties. In comparison, Kia EV6 attracts up to 60% duties as it takes a CBU route (Completely Built Unit). For reference, Kia EV6 currently costs between Rs. 64.5 – 69.7 lakh (ex-sh).
    The Neo Retro Charm
Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a stunning machine. It gets squarish LED signatures with a sleek headlight design. The sides are fairly handsome as well and at the rear, pixelated LED tail lights grab attention. Reminds me of a Delorean. On the inside, two 12.3” horizontal displays take center stage.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 First Delivery of India
Interiors are minimalistic and with fewer buttons. A two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel with perfect 9 and 3 positions looks neat. Hyundai logo on the inside is replaced with four dots, adhering to recent trends in the company’s portfolio. Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a fairly large vehicle with immaculate proportions.
It is a 4635 mm long, 1890 mm wide, 1625 mm tall vehicle and has a 3000 mm long wheelbase. It has a 531L boot space but lacks a front luggage area. Notable features are 21 level-2 ADAS features, 60+ connectivity and telematics features. Hyundai Ioniq 5 gets a three-year or unlimited km warranty as standard. More

Maruti Gypsy Electric Showcased For Army – 120 Km Range, 30 kW Battery

Tadpole Projects developed Maruti Gypsy Electric can get up to 30 kW battery, enabling 120 km claimed range
    Maruti Gypsy Electric
Army Commanders Conference (ACC) commenced on Friday, 21st April in Delhi. ACC is a biennial event and is one of the biggest summits where Indian Army conferences are concerned. ACC is conducted in a hybrid fashion for the first time. Where Army Commanders meet virtually and then physically meet at Delhi for detailed demonstrations.
Maruti Suzuki Gypsy with retrofitted EV components was showcased at this event. Tadpole Projects is the startup behind this operation. The startup headed by Jawaad Khan is incubated under IIT-Delhi. Official website mentions Tadpole Projects primarily works with vintage cars and Gypsy. The EV conversion includes 30 kW kits enabling 120 km of claimed zero-emission drive.
Tadpole Projects – What Do They Do?
Indian startup Tadpole Projects promises an easy setup. The company promises original driving feel as it retains transmission of said vehicle. On its website, Tadpole offers four battery options. There are two 48V EV architecture options. A 1440 Wh module and a 1536 Wh module options. A 60V architecture option with 1920 Wh modules and a 72V architecture with 8640 Wh modules are on offer too.
All battery modules get IP65/67 rating. They come with protection against short circuits, overcharges, and under-discharges. An option for a smart BMS is available too. Up to 30 kW EV kits and 1 kW to 37 kW (49.6 bhp) electric motors are on offer. Charging time is pegged at 2 to 6 hours. Tadpole promises a 2-year warranty on motor and a 3 or 5-year warranty for battery, extendable to 7 years.
Maruti Gypsy Electric – Battery, Specs, Range Price
The process involves swapping out engine components, locating suitable battery placement spots, installation of said batteries and connecting the existing drivetrain with an electric motor. This is a good way of extending the life of an old and unfit ICE vehicle. Instead of scrapping, individuals can opt for EV conversion kits like this if the vehicle is of emotional importance.
There are benefits to EV conversions of old vehicles. For starters, this is a perfect way to extend life out of a prized possession. Like a special vintage car. Also, new vehicles only reduce tailpipe emissions and not emissions associated with manufacturing and energy production required for the manufacturing. EV conversions address both simultaneously.
    Significance Of Retrofitted EV Conversions
Maruti Gypsy electric showcased to the military is of prime importance. It signifies re-using familiar and existing vehicles with zero-emission powertrains. The Indian Army is extremely familiar with Gypsies, disassembling and re-assembling them in a matter of minutes.
    Maruti Gypsy Electric
Indian Army is likely to be procuring soft-top Jimnys in the near future. A part of the fleet can be electrified instead of retiring all unfit Gypsys. Similarly, civilians can consider EV conversions for old and unfit vehicles with an expired OEM warranty as well.

BYD Seagull Electric Launched – 405 Km Range, 79k CNY (Rs 9.4 L)

With up to 405 km claimed range, BYD Seagull might become one of the most popular small electric carBYD Seagull Electric Launched
China is currently hot for small EVs. That said, for people craving practicality, the five-door EVs are still fan favourites. BYD is set to storm the Chinese automotive market with Seagull, a new five-door offering. This is one of the most important EVs for China and is causing ruffles across the market.
Bookings have commenced. Since its launch at the 2023 Shanghai Auto Show, BYD received 10,000 orders in just 24 hours. For starters, numbers like 130 km/h top speed, up to 70 kW (94 bhp) motor, and up to 38 kWh battery good for 405 km range are impressive. Even more impressive is a price tag of CNY 78,800 (approx Rs. 9.4 lakh) for base variant, CNY 83,800 for mid variant (Rs 10 lakh) while top variant is CNY 95,800 (approx Rs. 11.43 lakh).
BYD Seagull Launched – Details Revealed
Seagull is part of BYD’s Ocean Series consisting of Sea Lion SUV, Dolphin and Seal sedan (showcased in India). In this lineup, Seagull will be slotted below Dolphin which is 4070 mm in length. Seagull measures 3780 mm in length, 1715 mm in width, 1540 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2500 mm. Think Tiago EV dimensions.
It is a cute-sy 5-door hatchback featuring “Ice-breaking eyes” headlights with projectors and an attractive side and rear profile with connecting LED tail lights. Seagull is built to a cost to hit that sweet CNY 78,800 official starting price. It has a single windshield wiper like on a Nano, pull-up style door handles like in budget vehicles, and steel wheels with stylized covers are likely.
    BYD Seagull Electric Launched
    Features Are Best In Class
Interiors are much more premium than exteriors, revealing a 5″ instrument console, a 12.8″ infotainment screen, a flat-bottom steering wheel, a layered dashboard, powered driver’s seat, a neatly integrated wireless charging pad and a couple of cup holders. The main rival for BYD Seagull is Wuling Bingo, manufactured by SAIC-GM-Wuling JV. Bingo is larger and offers slightly more range than Seagull from its bigger battery.
Speaking of battery, Seagull is based on BYD’s e-platform 3.0 skateboard. Battery choices include a 30 kWh good for 305 km and a 38 kWh option boasting 405 km of range. BYD Seagull details reveal a choice between a 55 kW (73 bhp) motor in lower configs and a 70 kW (94 bhp) motor in higher configurations. Top speed is pegged at 130 km/h, which is impressive for an EV of this class.
Should BYD Launch This In India?
Currently, BYD has launched e6 and Atto 3, but is likely to introduce Seal sedan as its flagship offering in India. With the Seagull, we can see BYD leveraging its manufacturing prowess to offer competitive pricing. This is likely to bring volumes at a greater scale than e6, Atto 3 and Seal.
    BYD Seagull launched In China
As of now, BYD working on exporting Seagull’s larger sibling Dolphin EV, which is likely to be offered in Europe and the UK. BYD has not confirmed both Dolphin and Seagull for India. We hope BYD considers launching Seagull here in India.
Tata Motors currently dominates the Indian EV space. Tiago EV is the most affordable electric car. It costs between Rs. 8.69 lakh and 11.99 lakh (ex-sh). If launched here with an aggressive starting price, BYD Seagull with its 405 km range will surely make ruffles in Indian EV space.

MG Cyberster Sportscar Debuts With 536 Electric Horses

A RWD single-motor layout with 310 bhp of power and AWD duel-motor layout with 536 bhp of power is likely choices on MG CybersterElectric Sportscar MG Cyberster Unveiled
MG Cyberster finally debuts at 2023 Shanghai Auto Show. It is the first fully electric sports car for MG. And marks the return of MG brand to its sportscar roots. It is spied on multiple times ahead of its global debut. Now MG has taken the wraps on Cyberster. Complete specs and performance numbers are not yet out.
Chinese MIIT (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) has revealed some key figures about MG Cyberster. Also, this is not a vehicle that will solely cater to the Dragon’s den. Instead, MG intends to launch it in key automotive markets like Europe and UK in 2024. There is a tiny possibility of it launching in India too, if deemed worthy by MG in the future.
Back To The Sports Car Roots
Morris Garages or MG, is renowned for its sports cars. Last produced sports car is MG TF in 2011. MG has thrived under Chinese State-owned SAIC-GM-Wuling and has returned to its sports car roots. Cyberster is the brand’s first-ever electric sports car. It looks very exotic and European in its design language.
Cyberster is a two-seat sports car with a convertible fabric roof. MG’s video demonstrates the elegant and classy way it neatly tucks behind the seats. It gets scissor doors too, popularly known as Lamborghini doors. The aggressive front, flared wheel arches and wide rear haunches lend it a very sporty character.
    [embedded content]
Aerodynamic cuts and creases add a touch of sophistication. 20” alloy wheels look very swanky. The rear deck finished in gloss Black, houses an MG logo. At the rear, we can see thin connected LED tail lights and arrow-shaped LED elements, doubling as turn indicators. There is no doubt that MG Cyberster is one of the most sensational electric sports cars.
On the inside, we have a leather-clad interior. MG is likely to offer multiple interior trim and colour choices. Steering yoke and triple display layout takes center stage. Despite steering yokes proving to be inconvenient, they offer un-interrupted view at the triple screens.
536 Electric Horses and AWD Setup
Complete spec sheet is not yet out. Chinese MIIT has revealed key info regarding MG Cyberster. For starters, Cyberster is 4535 mm long, 1913 mm wide, 1329 mm tall, and has a wheelbase measuring 2690 mm. Because of its heavy electric powertrain, MG Cyberster weighs 1850 kg.
    MG Cyberster Rear Design
Speaking of its electric powertrain, battery capacity and chemistry are unknown. That said, it will be offered in either a single-motor RWD layout or a dual-motor AWD layout. The former is likely to pack 310 bhp of power and the latter is likely to pack 536 bhp of power. We expect brisk acceleration and a range of up to 400 km from a single charge. More info will likely be revealed in the future. More

Honda Unveils 3 New Electric SUVs – Larger Than HRV

Both e:NS2 and e:NP2 are likely to get a spec bump over e:NS1 and e:NP1 respectively – More performance and larger battery are likelyNew Honda e:NS2 Electric SUV Concept
Honda has showcased four different electric concepts at Shanghai Auto Show. These are e:N GT, e:N SUV, e:NS2 and e:NP2. Out of the four Honda concepts, e:N GT is a recurring concept vehicle, first showcased a year ago. It is a futuristic four-door electric sedan. There are no visible changes with it when compared to last year’s showcase.
e:N SUV is larger than HR-V based e:NS2 and e:NP2 electric compact SUVs. It is likely to be China-only. And could spawn into a production-spec version by the end of 2024. Production-spec versions of Honda e:NS2 and e:NP2 concept vehicles are the logical successors of e:NS1 and e:NP1 electric SUVs launched last year.
    Honda e:N GT Concept
The Two Musketeers Based On HR-V
Before diving into e:NS2 and e:NP2, we have to understand Honda’s compact SUV lineup for China. Just like there are two different CR-Vs sold in China, there are two different HR-Vs too. Unlike the two CR-Vs, both HR-Vs are not HR-V. Guangqi Honda sells North American spec HR-V as ZR-V in China. It doesn’t get any EV versions.
Then there is global HR-V, sold in China as HR-V by Dongfeng Honda. It spawns two different electric versions called e:NS1 and e:NP1 sold by Dongfeng Honda and Guangqi Honda respectively. Also, both these eSUVs are unrelated to Honda Prologue SUV for North America. Phew! Also, whatever happened to car manufacturers using words as names, huh?
Honda e:N Lineup Showcased At Shanghai Auto Show
Primary difference between the two HR-V based EVs is that e:NS1 gets body coloured front charging port cap and e:NP1 gets a gloss black finish. Both of them feature Porsche inspired tail light designs and Mustang Mach-e inspired interior layout. There is a need for design distinctions between the two and Honda is doing just that. e:NS2 and e:NP2 concepts showcased by Honda take different design paths.
When Can We Expect New Honda Electric SUVs To Launch?
e:NS2 gets arrow-like LED elements at the front reminiscent of Peugeots. e:NP2 takes a more sober approach and draws inspiration from US-spec Civic sedan. Both e:NS2 and e:NP2 are likely to get a spec bump as opposed to outgoing e:NS1 and e:NP1. Both eSUVs packed a 53.6 kWh battery in lower variants and a 68.8 kWh battery in top variants.
The 53.6 kWh battery-equipped variants got a 182 bhp and 300 Nm motor and promised a CLTC range of 420 km, while the 68.8 kWh versions got 204 bhp and 310 Nm, a range of 510 km. With both models, battery looked like it was suspended from the platform, which received criticism.
    Honda e:N SUV Concept
e:N SUV is larger than both aforementioned eSUVs. Thorough data is not yet available. Both e:N SUV and e:N GT are likely to get production-spec versions by 2025. e:N GT is not likely related to Afeela sub-brand developed by Honda-Sony JV. India launch is not likely to happen anytime soon. More
