Mahindra XUV700 EV Coupe Interiors Spied – Dashboard, Sunroof, Seats, Steering

Mahindra XUV700 EV CoupeUpcoming Mahindra XUV700 EV Coupe (XUV.e9) is likely to pack 80 kWh battery powering up to two electric motors with 200 km/h top speedTesting for Mahindra’s INGLO platform based vehicles is going in full swing. We have managed to get our hands on spy shots of XUV.e8, XUV.e9 and BE.05 electric SUV engineering test mules across the country. The latest spy shots show the interiors of Mahindra XUV700 EV Coupe (XUV.e9) in full detail. Let’s take a look.Mahindra XUV700 EV CoupeWith electric vehicles taking more prominence than they ever did, more OEMs are taking the electric route. Mahindra is no exception and sells XUV400 in India. However, the company is on the verge of launching its INGLO platform-based born electric vehicles that will play a major role in Mahindra’s global expansion strategies.Mahindra XUV700 EV CoupeIn the recent past, we posted XUV.e9’s interiors while it was loading on a plane, ready to be shipped abroad. For testing or for shooting TVCs, we presumed. But those test mules had a lot of testing equipment and were not very clear, showing fewer details about Mahindra’s upcoming electric coupe SUV.The new spy shots, however, show XUV.e9’s interiors in full clarity, revealing a lot more details we couldn’t grasp with previous spy shots. For starters, we can see that Mahindra XUV700 EV Coupe (XUV.e9) shares a lot of its switchgear and almost all of its components with XUV700. This is not a bad thing as XUV700 is quite a feature-loaded offering.Mahindra XUV700 EV CoupeDashboard is the same as Mahindra XUV700’s, but we get a new free-standing triple-screen setup that takes centre stage. Dual-zone climate control panel and AC vents, headlight control stalk, wiper control stalk, interior door trims, centre console, seats, armrests and other attributes are the same as those of XUV700.Mahindra XUV700 EV CoupeWhat are the changes?Apart from the new triple-screen layout that we mentioned above, there are a lot of new elements that these new spy shots show. For starters, there is a new twin-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated logo (Tata Motors vibes here). It is leather-wrapped and has horn pads at the ends for easy reach with thumbs (love it).Centre console still retains the lovely physical infotainment dial from XUV700, but there is a new and fancier gear selector with Blue accents. There seem to be extra speakers with XUV.e9 as suggested by the grill at the top of door trims, but this might just be a non-functional pattern too. What will be functional, though, is a hollow space on the dashboard which will be populated by a large HUD in the future.Mahindra XUV700 EV CoupeThe illuminated logo we mentioned on XUV.e9 is likely to be specific to XUV.e lineup. This is a brand new logo, which looks an infinity. It is different than Mahindra’s Twin Peaks logo. So, we get old oval Mahindra logo for CVs, Twin Peaks for PVs, a new “Infinity” logo for XUV.e range and BE logo for, well, BE range of vehicles. We also get a closer look at the leather seats as well as the fixed glass roof. Powertrains-wise, we expect Mahindra XUV700 EV Coupe (XUV.e9) to pack up to an 80 kWh battery and an option for dual motor AWD layout with around 200 km/h top speed. Launch is likely to happen in 2025 and will rival Tata Safari EV.Also read – Mahindra BE.05 base model gets unique fascia More

The roads are treacherous and demand capability from cars and skills from drivers.Tata Curvv EV TVCIn this video showing Curvv EV’s ascent to Sandakphu, Tata Motors welcomes Curvv to their SUV family. In this video, we can see a few glimpses of Curvv EV’s interior, which was officially under wraps up until now. The video reveals an almost identical interior to Nexon EV. This is not a bad thing as Nexon is fairly well equipped.[embedded content]We can see a similar dashboard with the same 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 10.25-inch fully digital instrument display with a full-screen navigation feature and other switches and attributes. Steering is from the Harrier and Safari with illuminated Tata logo.Centre console will be largely unchanged from Nexon EV’s. In that regard, Curvv EV is speculated to come equipped with a 55 kWh battery pack mated to a single motor set up in a FWD layout. We would reckon Curvv EV may pack a more powerful motor too.For reference, Nexon EV LR comes with an electric motor with 143 bhp, 215 Nm and a 100 km/h sprint in a claimed 8.9 seconds. Underpinned by the modular and scalable Acti.ev platform, Curvv EV boasts improved dynamics and rideability too. More

Tata Curvv EV Battery Details Leak – 2 Variants, 600 KM Range Possible?

Tata Curvv EV – MotorbeamCurvv EV is underpinned by the acti.ev platform that can deliver multiple range options from 300 km to 600 kmTata Motors is all set to enter the compact SUV segment with the Curvv SUV. Curvv will be available in both ICE and EV formats. Launch and price reveal are scheduled for August 7, 2024. Ahead of that, details about Curvv EV battery pack options have been leaked.Tata Curvv EV battery detailsSimilar to other Tata electric cars, Curvv EV will have standard and long-range variants. The standard variant will be getting a 40.5 kWh battery pack. This is the same as currently in use with Nexon Long Range variant. As certified by ARAI, the 40.5 kWh battery pack offers a range of 465 km.Tata Curvv EVCurvv EV higher variants will be equipped with a larger 55 kWh battery pack. A range of around 550 km is possible, although the acti.ev platform underpinning the Curvv EV has capability to deliver a range of up to 600 km. For the benefit of customers, Tata Motors will be keen to achieve best-in-segment range for Curvv EV. All variants of Curvv EV will utilize a front-axle mounted electric motor. More details could be revealed in the coming days.Curvv EV rivals – Battery and rangeAt the time of launch, Curvv EV will compete with the MG ZS EV. The latter is equipped with a 50.3 kWh battery pack that offers a range of 461 km. Assuming that Curvv EV top variants will have a range of around 550 km, the SUV will already have better numbers to show. In the future, new rivals will emerge such as Hyundai Creta EV and Maruti eVX. Toyota will also be launching its own version of the Maruti eVX.Tata Curvv PerformanceCreta EV is expected to get a 45-50 kWh battery pack. It will have a range of around 450 km. Maruti eVX is expected to be equipped with a 60-kWh battery pack. Range is likely to be around 550 km. If one considers only the battery capacity and range, then the Maruti eVX seems like a more capable rival to the Curvv EV.However, range may not actually be that important in the future. It’s because the charging infrastructure is consistently improving. Moreover, the new generation of battery packs are being designed to support ultra-fast charging. These allow users to quickly load 100+ km in just a few minutes.Charging network expansionTata Motors currently has the largest portfolio of electric cars in the mainstream PV segment. It includes Tigor EV, Tiago EV, Punch EV and Nexon EV. Upcoming products include Harrier EV and Avinya EV. Market share is more than 63%, as of June 2024.To ensure its EV customers are not troubled by range anxiety, Tata Motors is working proactively to expand its charging network. There are plans to introduce around 1 lakh charging stations by 2030. These will cater to Tata Motors’ ever-growing community of EV users. More

Mahindra BE.05 Base Variant, Production-spec Lighting, Alloy Wheels, Roof Carrier Spied

Mahindra BE.05 New DetailsWhen compared to the flamboyant front fascia of top variants, Mahindra BE.05 base variant gets a unique and simpler fasciaWith electric onslaught ambitions, Mahindra has curated a separate environment for its upcoming global EVs. These SUVs are based on INGLO born electric platform. The smallest and most popular and affordable vehicle from this platform will be BE.05. New spy shots reveal more details about this very vehicle. Let’s take a look.Mahindra BE.05 Base VariantBefore getting on with the new attributes spotted with top-spec Mahindra BE.05, we have to talk about the recently spied base model and everything there is to know about it. After all, it is the most affordable variant of the most affordable INGLO platform based on Mahindra’s global electric vehicles.Mahindra BE.05 Base VariantFor starters, production-spec lighting elements for Mahindra BE.05’s base variant seem to be finalised. Seeing it in new spy shots from automotive enthusiast Subhas Das, we were in for a surprise. We say this because the base variant of BE.05 gets a unique fascia when compared to the production-spec top-spec variant’s fascia.Base variant misses out on the massive C-shaped LED DRLs and instead gets simplified horizontal LED DRLs. Below these DRLs are unique-to-base-model projector headlights in a large circular housing. Other notable elements include two vertical trims in the front that lend a unique look. Reminds me of a Jaguar I-Pace.Mahindra BE.05 Base VariantBase variant also gets steel wheels in a black shade. Addressing the elephant in the room, Mahindra BE.05 test mule had a massive roof carrier that looked absolutely wild. In a good way, of course. This roof carrier is likely to be for testing purposes only. But it blends with car’s design very well. I even liked the overall muted aesthetics of the base variant more than top variant of BE.05.Mahindra BE.05 Higher Variant : Image – Gobinath RajanNew attributes of top variantSpeaking of the top variant, spy shots from automotive enthusiast Gobinath Rajan show a new production-spec alloy wheel design. This is an aerodynamic wheel design with a five-element slotted pattern on it. We would reckon Mahindra will offer these alloys on top-spec variants while the previously spied alloys will be offered in mid-variants. Or vice versa.Mahindra BE.05 Higher Variant : Image – Gobinath RajanIt is to be noted that higher variants still get those massive C-shaped LED DRLs along with a sleek LED headlight setup just below the top-most DRL element. Mahindra seems to be implementing an air curtain in front bumper, as seen in these new spy shots. It looks like there is an air channel on the bonnet that is deflecting winds from the front over the car’s windscreen.Mahindra BE.05 : Image – Gobinath RajanInterestingly, a fixed glass roof from BE.05 concept has been carried over to the production model. Sunroof fanatics who want to get out of the sunroof (for reasons best known to them), can look at XUV.e8 which was also spied beside the top-spec BE.05 test mules. There is a possibility of Mahindra showcasing BE.05 on August 15th alongside Thar Roxx. More

As competition intensifies, Tata has plans to launch multiple new products. One of these is Harrier EV, which is scheduled for launch in the current financial year.Tata Harrier EV Spied with New AlloysLatest spy shots of the Tata Harrier EV from Ladakh, shows it wearing a new set of alloys. These are the same alloys which the Harrier EV Concept was wearing, when it was showcased at the 2023 Auto Expo last year. This is the first time that the Harrier test mule is spotted wearing these alloys.2025 Tata Harrier EV SpiedHarrier EV is built on Tata’s born-electric acti.ev architecture. This is already in use with the Punch EV. Harrier EV is likely to have a 60-kWh battery pack, offering a range of around 500 km. The current ICE model is equipped with a 2.0-litre diesel engine. It churns out 170 PS and 350 Nm. Transmission choices include 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT. It is reported that Tata is also working on a petrol option for Harrier. With its optimized battery pack design, acti.ev has been able to achieve 10% improvement in energy density. Multiple range options can be attained, from 300 km to 600 km. Charging options include support for 7.2kW to 11kW AC charger. With a 150 kW DC fast charger, around 100 km can be loaded in just around 10 minutes.Tata Harrier.ev showcaseHarrier EV to get AWD, ADASTata’s acti.ev pure EV architecture supports FWD and RWD with a single-motor setup as well as AWD with a dual-motor setup. It is likely that AWD option will be made available with Harrier EV. A test mule spotted recently was seen with an electric motor powering the rear wheels.2025 Tata Harrier EV SpiedIt is possible that this particular test mule could have been an AWD model. An AWD setup can significantly enhance the capabilities of Harrier EV. It is also relevant from a business perspective, as rivals such as upcoming XUV700 EV (XUV.e8) are also likely to offer AWD option. While ICE Harrier already has ADAS, some additional features could be introduced with the Harrier EV. The acti.ev architecture to be used for Harrier EV has enhanced computing power and ADAS Level 2 capabilities. It is also designed to support ADAS L2+, thereby ensuring enhanced safety and navigation capabilities. The acti.ev platform supports 5G, something that will ensure seamless connectivity. Harrier EV will be getting features such as Vehicle to Load (V2L) and Vehicle to Vehicle Charging (V2V).2025 Tata Harrier EV SpiedCharging network expansionParallel to introducing new models, Tata Motors is also working to expand its charging infrastructure. This will be critical in improving overall experience for Tata’s EV buyers. By the end of this decade, Tata Motors has plans to set up around 100,000 charging stations.Another focus area is to expand the number of EV-exclusive showrooms. Over the next couple of years, more than 50 EV-exclusive showrooms will be opened. These initiatives will be beneficial for Tata’s upcoming electric cars such as Curvv EV, Sierra EV and Avinya models. More

These 1,138 EV6 units were manufactured between the period of March 3, 2022, and April 14, 2024.The issue with EV6 that has prompted Kia India to recall 1,138 units, is quite similar to what was seen with its Hyundai counterpart, Ioniq 5. Last month, Hyundai issued a voluntary recall for Ioniq 5, to address the same issue.Image – Visual Car ReviewsSpeaking of, the recall revolves around a potential error with car’s ICCU (Integrated Charging Control Unit). This error could potentially affect the performance of EV6’s 12V auxiliary battery that powers vehicular systems like headlights, infotainment system, speakers and even car’s climate control system. The software controlling this ICCU regulates the charge and discharge of EV6’s 12V auxiliary battery. As part of this recall, Kia will update the software of this ICCU and it should fix this potential issue with Kia EV6.What next?Kia has notified MoRTH (Ministry of Road Transport and Highways) regarding this voluntary recall. Ford Capri EV Debuts With 627km Range – Resembles Citroen Basalt?

New Ford Capri EVWhile Citroen Basalt and Ford Capri EV look quite similar in their silhouettes along with overall design and colour, the latter is largerEverything today has to be an SUV, to please the masses. This SUV bug has bitten auto industry and the newest victim of it, is Ford Capri. Once a stylish two-door stylish coupe, Ford Capri has been reincarnated into the modern times as a Coupe Crossover Sedan SUV thing that sits on VW’s MEB platform.Ford Capri EV Brought Back To LifeMany carmakers are using some of their legacy name plates on their modern vehicles. But not all of them match with their predecessors at all. Mitsubishi Eclipse has to be the most bizarre in this regard, using the iconic sportscar name on one of their crossover SUVs. Ford has its fair share in this regard as well.New Ford Capri EV Vs Old Ford CapriAfter using the iconic Mustang name with their electric crossover, Ford is now doing the same with Capri. Are Cortina and Sierra next? We don’t know. Ford Capri used to be a stylish 2-door coupe based on Ford Europe’s most celebrated car of the past, the Cortina. Debuted in 1968, Ford Capri was touted as the Mustang for Europe.Similar design as Citroen BasaltThe modern Ford Capri EV is a three-box crossover sedan with a high riding stance, a flat roof and a sloping fastback-like roofline. Looking at it, I can’t help but draw references to upcoming Citroen Basalt. They look quite similar to each other, down to the Vivid Yellow shade. However, Capri is a larger car, measuring 4.63m in length, 1.87m in width, 1.62m in height and has a 2.76m long wheelbase.Citroen Basalt CoupeThere is a flat fascia with neatly designed headlights that are connected with a black plaque housing the Blue Oval logo. The bonnet line neatly flows into car’s shoulder line, and takes a detour at C-Pillars and merges with roof line. Blacked out pillars further accentuate this effect. Wheels look swanky too. Ford offers 19-inchers, but buyers can opt till 21-inchers.2025 Ford CapriRear is flat like the fascia and has similar LED signature in tail lights as their headlights. Body claddings Ford has used with the new Capri are painted gloss black, which looks really nice. Ford Capri EV sits on Volkswagen MEB platform, like its sibling Explorer EV. In dimensions and specifications, Ford Capri EV matches VW ID.5 and ID.5 GTX.[embedded content]Specs & FeaturesOn the inside, things are quite familiar if you have seen the Ford Explorer EV sold in Europe. The 14.6-inch portrait-style infotainment screen takes center stage along with a floating center console. Steering wheel has a few details matching some special Capri of the past. Other than that, it is mostly Explorer EV. Pricing starts from EUR 51,950 (Rs 47 lakh).Ford Capri EV InteriorsPowertrains are similar to what VW ID.5 offers. Ford Capri EV comes in a base RWD variant that matches VW ID.5 with its 77 kWh battery pack promising 627 km range (WLTP), mated to a 282 bhp motor, sprinting to 100 km/h in 6.4 seconds. Top AWD variant matches VW ID.5 GTX trim and gets larger 79 kWh battery, promising 592 km range (WLTP), mated to a 335 bhp motor, sprinting to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds. Also read – Ford India supposedly planning a comeback with Endeavour and Ranger More
