Hero Vida VX2 Incoming 1st July – Rebranded Vida Z Or New V2 Lineup?

Hero Vida ZAlong with Vida VX2, Hero MotoCorp has filed trademark applications for its variants as well – Vida VX2 Pro, Vida VX2 Plus and Vida VX2 Go
By introducing more affordable variants and also reducing prices of its Vida electric scooters, Hero MotoCorp has registered a boost in sales. In April 2025, a 540% YoY jump was noted, after sales grew from 956 units in April 2024 to 6,123 units in April 2025. With that, Vida emerged as the 5th bestselling electric two-wheeler brand in the country.
Hero Vida VX2 – What to expect?
To sustain the momentum, Hero is planning to introduce multiple new EV products. One of these is the Vida VX2, scheduled for launch on 1st July. Let’s take a look at what Hero’s new electric scooter might offer.
    New Hero Vida Z
Earlier this year, Hero MotoCorp had showcased a new model, Vida Z, at the Bharat Mobility Expo. Vida Z was originally unveiled at the EICMA 2024. It will be a truly global product, catering to both domestic and European markets.
Vida Z was scheduled to launch in July 2025. This has raised speculation about whether Vida VX2 could simply be a rebranded version of the Vida Z. Name changes are quite common due to various reasons such as trademark issues, branding strategy, market feedback, etc. Vida Z name has also been trademarked. But it does not have any applications for variant name registrations such as Pro, Plus and Go like Vida VX2.
    New Hero Vida V2
Moreover, while Vida Z has been unveiled and test vehicles have also been spotted, there are no such reports for Vida VX2. These factors present the possibility that Vida Z could go on sale as the Vida VX2. The trademark for Vida Z could be retained and used for any of the other upcoming products from Hero MotoCorp.
Vida VX2 – Performance, range, specs
Hero MotoCorp has not revealed any information about the upcoming Vida VX2 electric scooter. But assuming that Vida VX2 is a rebranded version of Vida Z, the base variant could be equipped with a single 2.2 kWh battery pack. Top variant could be utilizing two battery packs with total capacity at around 3.4 kWh. It is expected to have a range of more than 100 km. Similar to Vida V2, the Vida Z will have removable battery packs.
In the company’s lineup, Vida Z will be positioned as a more affordable option in comparison to the existing Vida V2 electric scooters. While the latter utilize an electric motor with 6 kWh of peak power, the Vida Z could have a slightly lower output. Vida Z will be using a direct drive permanent magnet motor.
As compared to the modern-looking Vida V2, the Vida Z has a minimalist, family-oriented design. Overall aesthetics are more aligned with the popular, high-volume-generating petrol-powered scooters such as Honda Activa and TVS Jupiter. Key highlights include a rectangular headlamp, TFT display, USB charging port, front storage, rear backrest and connectivity features. More

Hero Xpulse 160 Spied For The First Time – Impulse Successor

    New Hero Xpulse 160 Spied
When Hero and Honda parted ways, Impulse ADV was the first motorcycle from Hero MotoCorp. Impulse was way ahead of its time, but it was not well received by Indian audience owing to its smaller 150cc engine. However, the formula of an affordable off-roader evolved into Xpulse 200 and the recently launched and rather brilliant Xpulse 210 off-roader / tourer.
Now that Indian motorcycle buyers are more evolved and matured, Hero seems to be exploring a possibility to bring back a small capacity off-roader. Fueling these speculations, we have the first ever spy shots of a probable Hero Xpulse 160 with a smaller engine and more affordable components. Let’s take a closer look.
New Hero Xpulse 160 Design Compared With Xpulse 200
    Hero Xpulse 160 Spied
In a rather interesting turn of events, Hero MotoCorp seems to be working on a new off-road motorcycle. We’re not talking about the ADV with a 440cc engine that has been spied testing before and definitely not the 250cc Xpulse that everyone is craving for. We are talking about a new Xpulse that packs a smaller engine than the current 210cc and 200cc units.
These recent spy shots show an air-cooled engine that looks different from the current air-cooled 200cc unit. It looks smaller in size and cross referencing it with Hero’s other powertrains, it looks sort of like the 163cc engine seen on Xtreme 160R. We hope it has the 4V version which is rated at 16.9 PS of peak power and 14.6 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
New Hero Xpulse 160 Design Compared With Xpulse 200
Other notable giveaways suggesting this is not the Xpulse 200 include the circular disc brakes as opposed to Xpulse 200’s petal discs. These also look a wee bit smaller in diameter. The radiator for Xpulse 200’s oil cooling and windshield are missing too. Another change is in its knuckle guards which are of old type that were hinged at the ends.
    Same design retained?
Comparing these new spy shots with current Xpulse 200, we can see that Hero has carried over the design and body parts. This way, Hero is saving on development and production posts, achieving economies of scale. New Hero Xpulse 160 spied could be packing similar suspension along with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel size combination as well.
New Hero Xpulse 160 Design Compared With Xpulse 200
Speaking of possibilities, Hero could position this motorcycle as Impulse successor and even name it accordingly. It will boast a more affordable price tag and be much lighter in weight than Xpulse 200’s 159 kg kerb weight for Base variant and 161 kg for Pro variant. It is likely to be advertised as an off-roader only, positioned below Xpulse 200 or probably even replace it. Xpulse 210 is more than capable if touring comfortably at triple digit speeds is what you need. More

    Suzuki Access Electric Scooter
For the first time, Suzuki e-Access was first showcased at 2025 Auto Expo. With its maiden electric scooter for Indian market, Suzuki promises a durable, reliable and sustainable mobility solution for daily commuters within the urban environments.
It has to be noted that Suzuki e-Access is powered by the company’s e-Technology consisting of a Lithium Iron Phosphate battery pack (LFP). Suzuki promises that the battery and other components have undergone rigorous testing for submersion, extreme temps, vibrations, drops, crush tests, punctures and motor bench.
    Suzuki e-Access
Other notable elements of Suzuki e-Technology include Drive Mode Selector-e (SDMS-e) offering modes like Eco Mode, Ride Mode A, Ride Mode B and a Reverse Mode. The motor supports regenerative braking and the power is sent to rear wheels via a belt-drive system that is maintenance-free and low on noise and vibrations.
    Sleek Design!
As seen from the showcase at 2025 Auto Expo, Suzuki e-Access looks rather stylish. It has a much sharper and sleeker design language than 2025 Access, which establishes a premium appeal. We can see a chiselled apron that houses a vertical LED DRL along with turn indicators further down.
    Suzuki e-Access
Headlights are fully LED and they’re much sleeker and look sophisticated. Rear is kept conservative, but it looks like a premium product. Dual-tone colours, and contrasting colour for seat covers all lend an up-market appeal. We also get a sizeable TFT instrument cluster with Suzuki e-Access that will pack a host of connectivity features.
e-Access is likely to deliver a range of up to 95 km on a single charge. Top speed is pegged at 71 km/h and the electric motor packs 4.1 kW of power and 15 Nm of torque. It rides on 12-inch wheels at both ends and gets disc brakes at the front. As of now, Suzuki has not revealed an exact launch date for e-Access. When launched, it will rival Ather Rizta, Ola S1, Honda Activa e, TVS iQube and Bajaj Chetak.

2025 KTM RC 200 Updated With New Colourway – Metallic Grey

2025 KTM RC 200 Updated – Metallic Grey Colourway
KTM India has been updating its portfolio to establish relevance with their motorcycles and boost sales. The most recent launch from the brand is 390 Enduro and 390 Adventure before that. Now, KTM has shifted its gaze from ADV world to supersport. KTM just updated the colour palette of RC 200 and here’s a closer look.
    2025 KTM RC 200 Updated
If you follow Indian automotive industry, you must be aware that KTM recently hiked the prices of some of its motorcycles. This was part of the MY25 update which brings compliance with the latest BS6 P2 OBD2B emission standards. RC 200 was the one that suffered with the highest price hike of Rs 12,000 (Ex-sh).
Just a few days after this price hike and emission standard compliance update, KTM is now offering a new colourway with RC 200. Called Metallic Grey, this new colourway is offered alongside the previous Black and Blue colourways.
KTM RC 200 Black and Blue
In terms of decals, it matches quite closely with Black colourway, while Blue is slightly more minimal. Metallic Grey colourway gets two shades of Grey that complement each other quite well. Orange acts as the contrasting colour here and we can see Orange on its chassis and on a large part of its front fairing.
Unlike Blue colourway with Orange wheels, Metallic Grey sticks to Black wheels, something similar to Black colourway. Other than that, we don’t see any more changes. It continues to be offered with the same equipment, components and features as other colourway variants and is priced the same at Rs 2.54 lakh (Ex-sh).
    Bajaj Offers KTM Takeover
KTM AG has been on an economic rollercoaster for some time now. Indian homegrown Bajaj Auto is now offering economic relief in return for a controlling stake in the brand. The offered sum is EUR 800 million which roughly amounts to Rs 7,771 Cr with today’s currency exchange rates.
    Bajaj offers KTM takeover
This move is not likely to make much difference to Indian motorcycling enthusiasts. Bajaj Auto stands tall and is set to gain a lot, with engineering expertise being the major element. One could only hope for future Bajaj motorcycles with twin-cylinder engines along with more versatile Pulsar for touring and off-roading. Both of which are not officially confirmed. More
