2024 Pulsar F250 Launch Price Rs 1.51 L – Does Not Get USD Like New N250

2024 Bajaj Pulsar F250 LaunchedWhile both motorcycles cost the same, 2024 Pulsar F250 misses out on USD front forks and offers a semi-fairing and clip-on handlebarsIn a rather quiet manner, Bajaj Auto has launched the new 2024 Pulsar F250. Before a proper announcement, units have reached dealerships and pricing has been divulged to showrooms too. But what are the changes? Let’s take a look.2024 Pulsar F250 LaunchedEver since the 2024 Bajaj Pulsar N250 was launched, there was one question on every Indian motorcycle enthusiast’s mind. No, it isn’t ‘Melody itni chocolaty kyu Hai?’ Where is the update to Pulsar F250? The update is here and it brings more features and functionalities to Pulsar F250.New Instrument Cluster On Pulsar F250However, it is slightly more interesting than being a 2024 Pulsar N250 with a fairing. Even more interesting is its pricing as it costs exactly the same amount as the new 2024 Pulsar N250. Which is Rs. 1.51 lakh (ex-sh).In many ways, 2024 Pulsar F250 gets almost all the new updates that 2024 Pulsar N250 got. Except for USD front forks, though. These gold-finished USD telescopic front forks are kept exclusive to street-style Pulsar N250.[embedded content]What it does get are improved electronics in the form of Traction Control (switchable for some fun) and three ABS modes – Rain, Road and Off-Road. Cycle parts have been upgraded too. We now get larger petal discs and fatter 110-section front and 140-section rear tyres.Among other major additions to 2024 model is the new fully digital instrument cluster that we saw with 2024 Pulsar N250 along with a bunch of newer Pulsars. It gets Bluetooth connectivity with alerts, notifications, dedicated app support, turn-by-turn navigation and more.2024 Pulsar F250 Vs 2024 Pulsar N250Walkaround comparison with Pulsar N250Units of 2024 Pulsar F250 have reached dealerships and K2K MotoVlogs have uploaded a detailed walkaround comparison between both 250 twins. On the surface, missing USD telescopic front forks are the main distinction over the updated Pulsar N250.Other than that, Pulsar F250 boasts many attributes of its own that Pulsar N250 misses out on. Main difference is the semi-faired design of Pulsar F250 and the added aerodynamic benefits it brings. Fixed windscreen and fairing add to the effect of Pulsar F250 being a much bigger vehicle than it is.2024 Pulsar F250Front fascia is unique to Pulsar F250. Bajaj hasn’t crammed the same headlights as N250 into a fairing like Yamaha India did with Fazer 25. Other notable distinction in favour of Pulsar F250 is that it gets sportier clip-on handlebars. Features of Pulsar F250 include a USB port, all LED lighting, improved switchgear over its predecessor, and the new instrument screen. Both motorcycles weigh almost the same and get the same 249.07cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that is capable of generating 24.5 PS of max power at 8,750 RPM and 21.5 Nm of peak torque at 6,500 RPM. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and a slip and assist clutch. Also read – Pulsar RS400 rendered in various colours More

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Latest Spy Shots Reveal New Details

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450Soon to be launched Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 has been spied once again in production ready avatarNew spy shots of Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 have surfaced online, providing an in-depth look at what is shaping up to be a noteworthy addition to the company’s lineup. Following the successful debut of the Himalayan 450, which introduced the Sherpa 450 engine platform, the Guerrilla 450 is set to continue this innovative trajectory.Guerrilla 450 Latest Spy ShotsThe recent spy images, shared by Pink Piston, were captured near Royal Enfield’s facilities in Tamil Nadu. Hat tip to automotive enthusiast Bip’raj Rathod for sharing these images. It reveals a motorcycle that appears almost production-ready. The photos highlight several new features and modifications from previous test mule spy shots, signalling a distinctive shift in design and functionality tailored to a different riding experience.Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450Despite the heavy camouflage, the main frame and subframe are clearly visible and largely mirror the structure of the Himalayan 450. However, the Guerrilla 450 lacks the additional mounts for luggage and panniers, emphasizing a more streamlined, urban-focused design. Additionally, the Guerrilla 450 does not feature the Himalayan’s elaborate forged steel side stand or the spikey foot pegs with removable rubber, suggesting a simplified, more straightforward design ethos. The bike features RSU telescopic front forks with gaiters and a roadster-style handlebar, enhancing its street credentials. It also sports a single-piece seat and smaller alloy wheels fitted with road-biased tubeless tires, which are fatter than those on the Himalayan 450. This combination promises a more stable and comfortable ride on paved roads.Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450One notable design element is the offset fuel filler position, which diverges from the Himalayan’s centrally placed filler. Then there is the new fuel tank design, which is notably different from the Himalayan 450’s 17-liter capacity tank. This adjustment hints at a potentially smaller fuel capacity, aligning with the bike’s roadster-oriented profile.Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450Functional AttributesAesthetic details include round ORVMs (Outside Rear View Mirrors) and round LED headlights, contributing to a neo-retro look that complements the bike’s roadster styling. Unlike the Himalayan, the Guerrilla 450 lacks a front windshield and beak, reinforcing its roadster identity. The bike also boasts a fancy swingarm and large disc brakes equipped with dual-channel ABS, ensuring modern safety standards. The radiator grill cover appears different from earlier prototypes, indicating ongoing refinements in the bike’s development.Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450Under the hood, the Guerrilla 450 is powered by the Sherpa 450 engine, Royal Enfield’s first to feature advanced engineering elements such as a DOHC 4V head and liquid cooling. This engine delivers 40 PS and 40 Nm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, slipper clutch, and ride-by-wire throttle, all of which are firsts for a single-cylinder Royal Enfield motorcycle. Launch price of Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 is expected to be under Rs 2.5 lakh.Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450Source More

Electric Scooter Crash Tested By ARAI – After Multiple Fire Incidents Reported

Image for illustration onlyRecent developments where ARAI crash tested electric 2W in India, are followed by multiple electric scooter fire incidents in the pastIn a rather interesting turn of events, ARAI has conducted as many as three crash tests on electric two-wheelers. Said crash testing was done at ARAI’s testing facility in Pune, Maharashtra. This is particularly interesting because there are no mandated crash tests for two-wheelers in any part of this world.ARAI Crash Tested Electric 2W In IndiaAs of writing this article, there have seldom been crash tests conducted on two-wheelers, irrespective of whether they are powered by an IC engine or an electric powertrain. It is self-explanatory as to why there aren’t any regulated crash tests for two-wheelers. But looking at recent developments at ARAI, should there be?ARAI in PuneAs per a new report, ARAI conducted these crash tests for specific OEMs. However, ARAI declined to disclose identities of these electric 2W manufacturers who requested these tests under RTI Act. Testing against standard industry benchmarks, ARAI used accelerometers and high-speed cameras to record these tests.ARAI conducted these crash tests on electric two-wheelers using a standard rigid barrier along with a side pole impact test. These developments at ARAI, mark a significant step towards vehicular safety and could be a hint of establishing safety standards for electric 2W segment in India.Crash testing for electric 2W vehicles might be mandated in the future in an attempt to maintain a safer environment for both owners and other road users alike. These developments come at a time when the Indian electric 2W market has witnessed innumerous fire incidents, raising serious concerns.Indian Government responded to these fire hazards with battery safety norms to potentially put a full stop to OEMs using cheap and low-quality batteries in electric two-wheelers. There are multiple instances where many companies gravitate towards generic and brandless import kits to quickly formulate an electric 2W vehicle.Should they be mandated? These operations often have no disregard for the safety of their customers and everyone and everything around them. While this strategy strikes quick profits, it is unethical and poses serious threats and implications on the road.If Indian Government mandates crash tests for electric 2W vehicles, it may potentially achieve a more streamlined process for faster adoption of electric mobility. As it stands, EV penetration in India is at 5% and there is huge potential as India is the world’s largest motorcycle and scooter market.Industry experts speculate electric 2W segment could grow close to 45% by 2030. Currently, this segment is led by Ola Electric with its popular S1 range of e-scooters. Other notable names in electric mobility are Ather Energy, TVS Motor, Chetak Technology, Hero Electric, Hero MotoCorp, Ampere, Greaves, Okinawa and others.Source More

TVS iQube ST Vs Rival Top Variants – Ola, Ather, TVS, Chetak, Simple, Vida

TVS iQube STWhere price is concerned, Ola S1 Pro Gen 2 is hard to beat and buyer trends highlight the same, while Ather 450 Apex appears to be priced at a premiumAfter almost a couple of years, TVS has launched the top-spec ST variant of its iQube electric scooter. So, all the bells and whistles like a 7-inch touchscreen and the likes with iQube have finally launched. TVS seems to have gone overboard in the battery department and has offered India’s biggest battery on any electric scooter.TVS iQube ST Vs Rival Top VariantsNow, that TVS iQube’s top-spec ST trim has been launched, it begs the question as to how it compares to the top-spec variants of its rivals. That said, we will keep this comparison short and stick to what the rivals are offering, where fundamentals are concerned, and how much they cost.Where capacity is concerned, TVS iQube ST’s 5.1 kWh battery is the biggest ever fitted to an electric scooter in In. Despite the large battery, claimed range is only 150 km. We say claimed range, because TVS doesn’t advertise this as real range or true range. Not even in the disclaimers. At Rs. 1.85 lakh quoted, is effective ex-sh price and feels slightly on the higher side, considering everything it offers. At 212 km claimed range, Simple One is very hard to beat. This claimed range could come close to reality as Simple One has a large 5 kWh battery. This is a combination of a larger fixed battery and a smaller removable battery for convenience. Where sales are concerned, Simple Energy is nowhere significant and is overshadowed by almost all known and unknown electric 2W brands. At Rs. 1.66 lakh (effective ex-sh), price seems reasonable considering everything it offers.TVS iQube ST Vs Rival Top VariantsIf we take Ola S1 Pro Gen 2, it has a 4 kWh battery, but the optimisation seems to have allowed them to claim 195 km range on a single charge. When we take the Rs. 1.3 lakh (ex-sh, effective) and correlate it with everything it offers, S1 Pro emerges as the value champ. It is the most performance-oriented scooter too, with highest power and top-speed.Chetak offers the smallest batteryHero MotoCorp’s foray into electric 2W mobility was marked by Vida sub-brand. Company’s flagship, Vida V1 Pro, packs dual removable batteries totalling a healthy 3.94 kWh capacity and promises 165 km range on a full charge. Priced at Rs. 1.3 lakh (effective ex-sh),At the other end of VFM scale, we have Ather 450 Apex that costs Rs. 1.95 lakh (effective ex-sh). Interestingly, it is unclear whether Ather 450 Apex gets a Pro Pack on top. If it does, pricing will go up further. For the price, Ather doesn’t offer the best of numbers in almost every single attribute. But they do bank heavily on the dynamics and over-engineered batteries. Aluminium chassis, the new Magic Twist throttle definitely contribute in that regard.Lastly, we have Bajaj’s Chetak Premium electric scooter. Priced at Rs. 1.47 lakh (ex-sh), the price seems to be including the optional package with extra features too. Chetak seems to be the only one to quote ex-sh price instead of effective ex-sh price. The 3.2 kWh battery is the smallest in this comparison and translates to lowest range at 126 km. More

Royal Enfield Bullet 650 Spied In EuropeBullet has always been associated with power and prestige and can easily succeed if presented in 650cc formatRoyal Enfield has several upcoming products across 350cc, 450cc and 650cc segments. In the 650cc space, one of the possibilities is Bullet 650. A new test mule spied in Europe works as strong evidence for Bullet 650. Once launched, it will be the spiritual successor of the long discontinued Bullet 500.Royal Enfield Bullet 650 – Key featuresRetro styling is highlighted with the circular headlamp and rear-view mirrors, classic tear-drop-shaped fuel tank and wire-spoke wheels. Chrome bits have been used liberally. The engine casing and twin exhaust pipes also have a shiny chrome finish. Similar to the Bullet 350, the 650cc model also has a single-piece seat.Royal Enfield Bullet 650 SideThe bike has a powerful road presence, and yet, is easily likable with its simple, elegant design. Royal Enfield Bullet 650 has a comfortable, upright riding stance. Centrally positioned footpegs and raised pulled-back handlebar allows for relaxed ergonomics. Bullet 650 has plenty of similarities with the upcoming Classic 650 Twin.Earlier this month, Royal Enfield had trademarked the Classic 650 Twin name. As Bullet 650 and Classic 650 Twin will be sharing several components, they may appear similar at first glance. A closer inspection will reveal the differences, as seen with the test mule spotted in Europe.Royal Enfield Bullet 650 ExhaustsRoyal Enfield Bullet 650 – Performance, specsPowering Bullet 650 will be the 648cc, parallel-twin engine used with other 650cc bikes from Royal Enfield. The air-oil cooled unit churns out 47 PS and 52.3 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox.Bullet 650 will be utilizing a steel tubular, double cradle frame. It will borrow several of the hardware from 650 twins. For example, suspension setup will have telescopic forks at front and twin gas-charged shock absorbers with adjustable preload at rear. Braking setup will comprise 320 mm front and 240 mm rear disc brakes. Dual-channel ABS will be offered as standard.Royal Enfield Bullet 650 RearBullet 650 – A potential bestsellerUpcoming Royal Enfield Bullet 650 presents itself as an appropriate upgrade option for Bullet fans. While the 500cc model was discontinued, a lot has changed since that time. Increasing prosperity is enabling users to experiment with higher-capacity bikes. Also, there has been significant improvement in road infrastructure. While inherently a street bike, Bullet 650 can also work for longer journeys. A number of accessories will be available, which will further enhance the bike’s touring capabilities. As of now, 650 twins are the top-selling Royal Enfield bikes in the 650cc segment. Bullet 650 has potential to beat the 650 twins, as it can target a much wider audience base.Royal Enfield Classic 650 TwinThe Bullet brand is hugely popular across Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. With Royal Enfield’s competitive pricing, it won’t be a big challenge to upgrade to a higher-capacity Bullet bike. Similar results could also be possible with the upcoming Classic 650 Twin. The smaller capacity Classic 350 is already the top-selling Royal Enfield bike.Source More
