Hero Karizma XMR Base Variant De-Listed From Website – Discontinued?

    Hero Karizma XMR 210
Despite having a lot of potential, Hero Karizma XMR 210 continues to be an underrated motorcycle in India. This supersport machine packs a sporty design, attractive colourways, impressive equipment and came at an attractive price point of Rs 1.81 lakh (Ex-sh) for the base ‘Base’ variant.
We said came instead of comes because Hero has de-listed this base ‘Base’ variant from the website, hinting at a possible discontinuation. As per data available from Hero website, Karizma XMR 210 now starts from Rs 2 lakh (Ex-sh) for the top ‘Top’ variant which packs all the bells and whistles. Let’s take a closer look.
2025 Hero Karizma XMR 210 Combat Edition
    Hero Karizma XMR Base Variant
Just a couple of months ago, Hero MotoCorp updated Karizma XMR 210’s ‘Top’ variant with improved features. We’re talking about a new fully digital colour TFT instrument cluster which is similar to the one seen on Xpulse 210. This cluster comes equipped with Bluetooth and a host of features including music control and turn-by-turn navigation.
Also, componentry saw a major upgrade as the 2025 Karizma XMR 210 ‘Top’ variant came equipped with USD telescopic front forks that are finished in a lovely Gold shade. This was a much-needed upgrade for Karizma to fully unlock its potential as a supersport machine.
2025 Hero Karizma Updated – Top Variant Colours
We’re mentioning these because this is the new identity of Karizma XMR 210 as the previously offered ‘Base’ variant seems to have been discontinued. Priced at Rs 1.81 lakh (Ex-sh), this base variant packed RSU telescopic front forks and its older LCD instrument cluster which was functional, but lacklustre.
    One Fully-Loaded Variant
With this move, Hero Karizma XMR 210’s pricing starts from Rs 2 lakh (Ex-sh) and there is only one fully loaded top-spec ‘Top’ trim level to choose from. Colour options are Iconic Yellow, Turbo Red and Phantom Black. Hero also offers a special edition with Karizma XMR 210 ‘Top’ called Combat Edition which costs Rs 2.02 lakh (Ex-sh).
2025 Hero Karizma Updated TFT Instrument Cluster
The discontinuation of ‘Base’ variant is likely to streamline Karizma customers’ buying decision as there are no variants anymore. All bells and whistles are now standard. Karizma XMR 210 continues with the same liquid-cooled DOHC 4V/cyl engine that is capable of generating 25.5 PS of peak power and 20.4 Nm of peak torque, mated to a slipper clutch and a 6-speed gearbox. Ultraviolette F77 Gen3 Firmware Unlocks More Performance For Free

Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2India’s leading sporty electric motorcycle manufacturer, Ultraviolette, has been on a global launch spree as the company expands its presence across 10 European nations. Now, the company is unlocking more performance to its existing customers with Gen3 Firmware that is backwards compatible to all F77 customers. Let’s take a closer look.
    Ultraviolette F77 Gen3 Firmware
Firmware on an electric vehicle is just as important as the components chassis, design, equipment and dynamics. It controls almost all aspects of an electric vehicle, making it a crucial aspect of an EV. Same is the case with Ultraviolette F77 electric motorcycles and the company has just announced Gen3 Firmware to all F77 customers.
This new Gen3 Firmware by Ultraviolette is backwards compatible and can be installed on all Ultraviolette F77 customers. The company has incorporated 8 million km (80 lakh) worth of ride data analysis to improve the bike’s nervous system and further improve Violette AI, which is a core element of Ultraviolette products.
Ultraviolette F77 EV Launched in France
Ultraviolette is offering this firmware to customers at no additional charge. Making it free of charge sends a great message across the motorcycling fraternity, gaining a positive outlook among enthusiasts. This new firmware unlocks more performance with the new Ballistic+ Mode which should appeal to users.
The bike still maintains its 40 bhp of peak power and 100 Nm of peak torque as before. But the improved performance comes in the way this powertrain now puts down power, allowing for an engaging ride than before. There’s a higher thermal ceiling now and better initial torque surge than it offered before.
With software optimisation, Ultraviolette has managed to offer better performance to new and existing users. The company didn’t mention any range improvements with Gen3 Firmware.
    Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2
    Statement from Ultraviolette
Narayan Subramaniam, CEO & Co-founder of Ultraviolette, stated “For decades, vehicles, gadgets, and consumer electronics have followed a familiar trajectory where they start strong, but degrade over time. While others may practice planned obsolescence, we believe in the opposite paradigm where technology evolves and gets better with time. At Ultraviolette, we envision how a machine could learn from you, evolve with you, and unlock more power the longer you own it.”
“At the heart of every F77 is our Vehicle Control Unit, a powerful onboard intelligence system that captures over 3,000 data points in real time. These are continuously analysed by Violette A.I., which interprets, learns and evolves to optimize performance and deliver smarter, more responsive system updates. Through this seamless integration of advanced hardware and intelligence, we uncovered new possibilities to extract even greater performance from the battery and drivetrain systems.
Our architecture proved its capability through rigorous fine-tuning, from the VCU to the motor and motor controller, ultimately resulting in our new Gen3 Powertrain Firmware. This is a breakthrough in electric performance, based on precision engineering, and intelligent evolution”, said Niraj Rajmohan, CTO & Co-founder of Ultraviolette. More

New TVS Norton V4 Spied Testing – Flagship Superbike Debut At EICMA

New TVS Norton V4 Spied TestingUpon launch, Norton V4 will challenge rivals such as Ducati Panigale V4, BMW M 1000 RR and Aprilia RSV4
As part of its strategy to target the premium motorcycle segment, TVS Motor will be launching multiple new Norton motorcycles. The first of these will be the new Norton flagship V4, which will be showcased at the 2025 EICMA. India launch is expected by the end of this year. Ahead of that, the all-new Norton V4 has been spied testing in the UK. Let’s check out the details.
New Norton V4 spotted – Design and key features
TVS MD Sudarshan Venu himself is riding the test vehicle. As compared to the current Norton flagship, the V4SV, the all-new Norton V4 takes a more modern approach to its design and styling. One can notice a more aggressive front fascia, featuring sharp LED headlamps and integrated DRLs. While this test vehicle is missing the side fairing, expect the bike to get sportier panels and graphics. New colour options are also likely, in line with the bike’s contemporary profile.
New TVS Norton V4 Spied Testing
Riding stance is fairly committed, similar to other superbikes such as the Panigale V4. In terms of equipment, the new Norton V4 gets an underbelly exhaust. This ensures a clutter-free look and feel, as compared to the V4SV that has a side exhaust setup. The underbelly exhaust could also improve weight balance and help achieve a more centralized mass.
Another distinctive feature is a new triangular, multi-layered design for the tail lamp. This feature was also revealed in a recent teaser posted by Norton. The test vehicle can be seen using more modern angular shapes for the frame, as compared to that of the V4SV. Also, the new V4 has the frame in matt black finish, as compared to the shiny metallic finish seen with V4SV. This is another key aspect of the bike’s modern makeover.
New TVS Norton V4 Spied Testing
    Specs, performance
Norton V4 can be seen with a range of premium equipment such as the latest Hypure monobloc callipers from Brembo. In addition to offering enhanced braking, the quirky, asymmetrical design of the callipers complements the bike’s sporty profile. Norton V4 could also get semi-active forks that can adjust damping characteristics in real-time using electronic controls.
New TVS Norton V4 Spied Testing
Users can expect better control during cornering, more comfortable rides and greater stability while braking. At the rear, Norton V4 could continue with Öhlins fully adjustable shock absorber with hydraulic preload adjustment. The bike will be getting a comprehensive range of rider aids such as multiple riding modes, a six-axis IMU, ride-by-wire tech, cornering ABS and traction control.
New TVS Norton V4 Spied Testing
Teasers point to some new exciting stuff as well, which is likely to be revealed at EICMA. While the existing 72-degree liquid-cooled V4, 1200cc will be carried forward, it will now be compliant with Euro 5+ emission norms. This will allow the new Norton V4 to enter European markets beyond the UK.
    [embedded content]
The engine is likely to have undergone major tweaks for emission compliance and enhanced performance. In its current format, the engine delivers 185 bhp and 125 Nm of peak torque. It will be interesting to see how Norton prices the new V4. The current flagship, the V4SV, is priced at £44,000 (Rs 51.18 lakh). A starting price of around £25,000 to £30,000 could make it more competitive against rivals like the Panigale V4.
New TVS Norton V4 Spied Testing More
