Husqvarna India Sales May 2022 At 0 Units – Vitpilen, Svartpilen

Husqvarna India domestic sales in May 2022 comes to a standstill: exports fall to less than half2022 Husqvarna Svartpilen 250. Image – Dev MTR.Bajaj Auto introduced Husqvarna India in 2019. And the group is poised to work along the footsteps of KTM here. Another business unit championed by Bajaj. As part of its pro-biking initiatives, Husqvarna sales estimates have been met with initial challenges in India. This is largely owing to market disruption sowing to Covid-19 lockdowns through 2020 and 2021.Henric Andersson, CEO comments: “The strong demand from the previous record year continues, but the challenging global supply chain situation is affecting us particularly in the latter part of the first quarter. However, the gardening season is ahead of us, we have a record order backlog and we are taking decisive mitigating measures in order to increase production throughout the season”.Husqvarna India Sales May 2022Husqvarna India domestic sales have been below a bare minimum for April and May 2022. In April, the company reported 5 units in sales. In May, that number was down to naught. A year earlier, the output was naturally starved owing to limitations in place to curb the spread of Covid-19.Correspondingly, exports too were on a decline. YoY May 2022 Husqvarna exports are reported at 776 units having halved from 1,610 units. Volume loss stood at 834 units. 401 exports led at 608 units. MoM exports fell from 762 units. 126 units of 125 were exported, and 42 of 250. 125 exports fell from 420 units. 250 exports fell from 211 units. 200 exports fell to naught from 217 units.Husqvarna India Sales May 2022Husqvarna 250 Twins priceMoM exports fell from 2,458 units. Decline stood at 68.43 percent at volume loss of 1,563 units. 401 exports fell from 1,762 units. 125 exports fell from 420 units. 250 exports fell from 204 units, and 200 exports were down from 72 units.Last month, the company revised the price of the Husqvarna 250 twins by about 2 grands. This puts Vitpilen pricing at Rs 2,17,152, and Svartpilen at Rs 2,17,779. When reporting estimated net sales for Q1 2022, Husqvarna Group emphasised on increased supply chain challenges.Global supply chain shortageWhile demand was strong across product categories, continual global supply chain challenges equated to components/parts shortages. And longer lead times result in delayed deliveries. Given the circumstances, the company estimated reduced production in Q1 2022. And the same situation appears to have trickled into Q2 2022. April and May production and sales/exports in India could be echoing a supply shortage situation.Husqvarna India Exports May 2022Globally, all eyes are on geopolitical developments in Europe. The current situation has no doubt choked and disrupted supply channels. This ongoing supply procurement troubles and urgency continues to boost buoyancy in raw material purchase prices. Simultaneously, energy and transportation costs are on the rise. Efforts are on to mitigate increased pricing trends while reducing backlogs. More

With Indian economy recovering and a low base in May 2021, we see a healthy 225.54% YoY growth in May 2022Modified RE 650 by Neev MotorcyclesRoyal Enfield has been dominating the 500cc+ motorcycle market with its flagship Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. Both of these bikes are powered by the same 648cc parallel-twin engine. Even though it isn’t exactly cheap in foreign markets, it is in India. This is reflected in the sales figures as we take a deeper look.500cc+ Motorcycles Sales May 2022With 1357 units sold in May 2022, Royal Enfield 650 twins (Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 combined) top the chart with 314.98% YoY growth over just 321 units sold in May 2021. 650 twins are the undisputed champions of this segment with 81.89% market share in May 2022. Coming to the best (relatively) performer of all vehicles with negative YoY growth in May 2022 is Triumph Trident 660 with only 5 units sold in May 2022 over 36 units sold in May 2021. Newly launched Tiger 660 registered sales of 10 in May 2022.Looking at the sales chart and analysing the YoY growth of 500cc+ motorcycles, we can see that the lower end of the price bracket of this category is still performing very well. It is at the expensive side of things, where numbers go down. Royal Enfield’s 650 Twins are the clear leader though with around 82% market share. Immediately after that is the Kawasaki Z900 and at Rs.8.86 lakh (ex-sh) it is the cheapest 4-cylinder engine-powered motorcycle currently on sale in India. More

Bajaj Pulsar Electric Launch Planned – KTM, Husqvarna EVs Incoming

Bajaj Auto will maintain a fine balance between IC engine vehicles and EVsImage of Zero Motorcycle for referenceBajaj Auto is one of the most prominent two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturers in the world. Though India is their biggest market, they also have a global presence unlike any other. Bajaj exports to about 70 countries around the world. This is why Bajaj claims that they are The World’s Favourite Indian.Bajaj Auto recently inaugurated Chetak Technology’s new manufacturing facility at Akurdi. This manufacturing facility has been created for EV development and production for Bajaj’s subsidiary company Chetak Technology. Rakesh Sharma, exec director at Bajaj Auto, Sharma revealed what Bajaj Auto has on its plate right now and what it expects to be in the future.Bajaj Auto EV PortfolioThe Indian automaker is keen on maintaining a synergy between both its EV portfolio and IC engine vehicles portfolio. Sharma also expressed Bajaj Auto’s reservations as to why they’re not going all hands on deck with EVs just yet. This is because the transition from IC engine vehicles to EVs is not yet happening at a pace to justify the outright change in strategies. But Bajaj Auto realises the significance of EVs in markets like India where it is raining EVs and not in a good way. To provide undivided attention and developments, Bajaj decided to create its subsidiary Chetak Technology. With Chetak Technology, Bajaj aims to make it a global hub for EV design, development and production.2023 KTM Duke Electric – RenderBajaj believes that the scope of ICE vehicles will not get over in a hurry. Even optimistically considering that 50% of the bikes somehow become electric by the end of 2030, the other half will still be reliant on IC engines. Bajaj Auto is also expected to learn a lot of things from its new partnership with Yulu allowing it to integrate them with their product solutions. They will be launching a new EV later this year, exclusively for Yulu.Bajaj is also expected to expand Chetak’s EV portfolio both vertically and horizontally. Sharma also hints at possible sub-segments within Bajaj Auto or Chetak Technology in the form of Pulsar Electric two-wheelers while RE branding will still adhere to three-wheelers. He also mentioned that KTM is keen on electric motorcycle and so is Husqvarna electric scooter (spied testing in pune). According to him, Bajaj is still not in talks regarding EVs with its British partner Triumph.Chetak’s Global ExpansionChetak technology is toying with the idea of selling Chetak EVs overseas. Particularly, ASEAN markets where scooters form more than 90% of the market share in countries like Vietnam. Even though Bajaj Auto is still young in ASEAN markets, with supply-chain stabilisation, we can expect Bajaj to jump into this popular market with its EVs.If Pulsar electric will become a reality, we can expect Bajaj to base it on the existing Pulsar range of motorcycles with the same chassis and even body panels too. We can also see similar hardware like brakes and suspension that are currently doing duties in the Pulsar lineup. It will be interesting to see a mainstream manufacturer like Bajaj to expand its EV portfolio from just electric scooters to motorcycles.  More

It is possible that other features too that are offered with RR310 BTO may be available as standard with G310RR. This will work as a means of differentiation and justify G310RR’s premium profile and pricing.Suspension is likely to be the same as that used with Apache RR310 BTO. For example, the Dynamic Kit comprises fully-adjustable KYB front suspension. It has 15mm of preload adjustability and 20 sets of damping. RR310 top speed is 160 kmph and it can reach 0-100 kmph in 7.17 seconds.2022 BMW G 310 RR – RenderAs compared to Apache RR310 that has Michelin Road 5 tyres, BMW has chosen to stick with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres for G310RR. Another difference is conventional disc brakes, as compared to petal discs used with Apache RR310. Instrument cluster is same as seen on Apache, but has been with BMW Motorrad graphics. As of now, two colours have been teased – Factory colour of White, Blue and Red as well as a Black. Pre-bookings have commenced on a brand new website that BMW has dedicated exclusively for G310RR.
