New Hero XPulse 200 4V Rally Edition Launch Soon – Specs Leak

Hero MotoCorp is expected to launch Rally Edition alongside normal XPulse 200 4VHero Xpulse 200 RallyHero MotoCorp has always been committed to the budget ADV segment. In fact, Impulse ADV was Hero’s first-ever motorcycle after they split with Honda dissolving the Hero Honda brand. Impulse was a 150cc ADV with 245mm of ground clearance and only weighed 134 kg!After the discontinuation of Impulse, people realised its brilliance and enthusiasts even swapped its engine with a 223cc Karizma engine calling it Karipulse. Hero’s second attempt at this genre is XPulse 200 and was well-received as the market had matured by then.Xpulse 200 was launched in BS4 guise. To enhance its off-road ability, Hero formulated a Rally Kit. It received a BS6 update ironing out a lot of niggles with the earlier model. Hero didn’t rest there. To give XPulse better efficiency and more speed, it introduced a 4V head. And now, Hero MotoCorp is updating the Rally Kit and introducing a new Rally Edition variant as seen from registration documents to make it even better. Talk about commitment, huh?New XPulse 200 4V Rally EditionHero MotoCorp is very active in rally motorsport, which is reflected in Rally Kit developed by the company for XPulse 200. But Hero seems to be keen on giving their customers a taste of a rally bike straight from the factory. According to the approval certificate submitted to NCT, Hero has homologated the new XPulse 200 4V Rally Edition, which is slightly larger than the outgoing model with a rally kit. Also, a new rally kit for existing XPulse owners.Hero Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition – SpecsXPulse 200 4V currently on sale in India measures 2222mm in length, 850mm in width, 1258mm in height and has 1410mm of wheelbase. With the new upcoming Rally Kit installed, it becomes 23 mm longer, 50 mm taller and gets a 9mm longer wheelbase. Old Rally Kit did not change the wheelbase at all. We speculate that the new Rally Kit might also get a new swing arm in the package.Coming to the Rally Edition, it is 12mm longer, 12mm taller and has an 8mm longer wheelbase than the Xpulse 200 4V with the upcoming new Rally Kit installed. We can expect Rally Edition to be even more capable than the Xpulse with Rally Kit. It might get longer travel suspension, and beefier adjustable suspension front and rear to handle jumps and landings.Specs & LaunchXPulse 200 4V Rally Edition will be based on the 4V version. The Rally Kit currently on sale by Hero, costs Rs. 38,000. It gets compression and rebound adjustable front forks with increased travel, rebound and preload-adjustable rear suspension, handlebar risers, longer stand, extended gear lever, rally-spec seat and knobby off-road tyres from Maxxis.Xpulse 200 4V costs Rs. 1.32 lakh (ex-sh) and with Rally Kit, costs Rs. 1.7 lakh (ex-sh). We expect Rally Edition to cost the same. Because in Rally Edition, the stock components are replaced with high-performance components at factory level unlike with Rally Kit where the customers are paying for upgraded components on top of the stock components that came from the factory. When launched, Rally Edition will compete with Royal Enfield Himalayan and Yezdi Adventure. With its lightness at around 160 kg, and far superior suspension and tyres, Xpulse 200 4V Rally Edition will be an extremely capable off-roader.  More

Especially for a country like India, they make more sense too owing to our fabled road conditions. Imagine riding a low-slung exotic machine and you suddenly encounter a bad patch of road. It is a nightmare to even imagine and ADVs with a relatively high ground clearance and underbelly protection are very logical for India. We have ADVs, adventure tourers and dual-sport motorcycles too. We also have them in varied engine capacities and cylinder counts ranging across a wide gamut of prices too. But a segment that strikes the right balance between price and performance has always been motorcycles falling in the middleweight category.2022 Kawasaki Versys 650 ADVKawasaki has updated their middleweight adventure tourer, Versys 650 for the model year 2022. It is priced from Rs 7.36 lakh, ex-sh. Royal Enfield Thunderbird 650 On Official Website – Cruiser 650cc Name?

Royal Enfield has used the Thunderbird name before on their cruisersRoyal Enfield Thunderbird 650 – Render Cruiser 650ccRoyal Enfield motorcycles have impressed enthusiasts with their vintage charm and retro appeal. Of late, RE motorcycles have also been impressive where engineering is concerned. Already a ruler in the 350cc and 650cc segment, the company wants to expand its portfolio further in these segments. The Chennai-based company has been working on a new breed of motorcycles. We can expect their next new offering in the month of August, likely to be called Hunter 350. They also have the Bullet 350 new gen, as well as an all new 450cc scrambler and adventure-tourer planned for sometime next year.Royal Enfield Thunderbird 650Apart from these, we have also seen spy shots of new RE motorcycles based on 650cc platform. One was rumoured to be Super Meteor 650 and the other was rumoured to be based on Shotgun 650 concept. Speaking about the Super Meteor 650 cruiser, there is an interesting update. It seems like it might not be called Super Meteor, but Thunderbird 650.Royal Enfield had Thunderbird range of cruiser motorcycles on sale for many years, before they were discontinued to be replaced by what is now called Meteor. This left RE fans wondering as to why Royal Enfield was dropping such a good brand name like Thunderbird. Well, that is probably because they had bigger plans. Literally bigger plans. Earlier, the Thunderbird range was seen in 350cc and 500cc format. If the latest leak is true, the next Thunderbird we see from Royal Enfield, will be the biggest ever, with a 650cc engine.Royal Enfield Thunder 650 Name On Official WebsiteRoyal Enfield official service page had a listing for a surprising new motorcycle, which does not currently exist. The name was – Thunderbird X 650. It is highly likely that this is the name of the upcoming Royal Enfield 650cc cruiser motorcycle, and got leaked on an official website by mistake. Royal Enfield has rectified this error by taking off the Thunderbird X 650 name from their website. But not before screenshots were saved and shared.Thunderbird X 650 might be a sportier variant of Thunderbird 650, like Thunderbird 500X was to Thunderbird 500. We have seen the upcoming Royal Enfield 650cc cruiser with alloys as well as with spoke wheels. It is possible that the version with spoke wheels is called Thunderbird 650 and the one with alloys is called Thunderbird 650X or Thunderbird X 650.Royal Enfield Thunderbird 650 – Specs & LaunchIf Royal Enfield Thunderbird 650 and Thunderbird X 650 gets launched, they will come with 650cc parallel-twin engine. This engine does duty on the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. These are the smoothest and the most vibe-free Royal Enfield we have ever tried. It makes 47 bhp of power at 7250 RPM and 52 Nm of torque at 5250 RPM. It is coupled to a 6-speed transmission and also gets oil-cooling and slipper clutch.Speaking about launch timeline – the latest test mules appear fairly production-ready. It is likely that Royal Enfield could unveil the Thunderbird 650 (if not launch), at the EICMA 2022. Being a global motorcycle brand, Royal Enfield has unveiled something special at EICMA almost every year. Will it be the Thunderbird 650 cruiser this year?Source More

Honda 300cc Scrambler Trademarked – Upcoming RE Hunter 350 Rival?

Honda is expected to take design inspirations from older CL series motorcycles in its past lineupHonda Scrambler – Render by Young MachineWe have said this before and we’ll say it again, the Indian motorcycle market doesn’t get enough good motorcycles that other markets get. Especially Japan. I don’t know what to say, but JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) always gets the good stuff. One such addition is the new CL300.Honda has a CB series for naked street motorcycles. They have a CBR series for faired track machines. And also CL series motorcycles that are scrambler motorcycles with retro appeal. In most cases, Honda makes CL series motorcycles that are based on street naked CB series of motorcycles. But the new CL300 is based on the Rebel series cruiser motorcycle.Honda 300cc ScramblerWe had heard about a possible Honda CL500 Scrambler was cooking in Honda’s labs. It was specifically rumored for JDM. To further fuel speculations, Honda trademarked the name CL500. Fast-forwarding to 2022, it hasn’t been materialized yet.CL500 was supposed to be a scrambler variant of the Rebel 500 cruiser. Design patents of CL500 further strengthened this speculation. There were also rumours of a CL250 that was supposed to take inspiration from 1960s CL250 with a twin-cylinder quarter-liter engine. But the modern CL250 was rumoured to be based on the new Rebel 300 cruiser.Honda Scrambler – Render based on leaked patentBut now, Honda has filed a trademark in the name of CL300 rendering CL250 rumours as false. CL300 will be a scrambler version of Honda’s popular cruiser Rebel 300 and is also likely to get the same chassis with slightly revised subframe. Engine and transmission are expected to be the same too. Honda has trademarked the name CL500 alongside CL300 in Thailand, New Zealand and Australia. This could mean that both scrambler motorcycles can be launched at once. Both CL300 and CL500 will share chassis and other hardware from Rebel 300 and Rebel 500 respectively. They might get taller seats with other bits to fit into the scrambler styling. Both CL300 and CL500 are expected to get conventional telescopic front suspension like their Rebel counterparts. Unlike the spoked wheels on the older CL series bikes, the newer CL300 and CL500 are likely to get alloy wheels like Rebel cruisers.Specs & LaunchHonda Rebel motorcycles are modern single-seat cruisers that strike the perfect balance between retro and modern cruisers. CL300 will get Rebel 300’s 286cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. It gets a 6-speed gearbox, 41mm front telescopic forks and dual shocks at the rear. CL300 gets 16” wheels wrapped with 130/90 rubber at front and 150/80 rubber at the rear. It weighs 168 kg and has a relatively small 11-litre fuel tank.Honda Scrambler – Patent leaksCL500, however, is based on Rebel 500 which gets a larger 471cc liquid-cooled, parallel-twin engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It gets the same suspension, brakes and tyres as the smaller Rebel 300. It gets the same fuel tank too, but due to the larger engine, it weighs a respectable 185 kg.Honda hasn’t yet revealed the timeline for the new CL300 and CL500 launch. But both of them are expected to be JDM-specific at launch. They are trademarked in Thailand and Australia and might eventually get launched there too. Both Rebel 300 and Rebel 500 were rumoured to make it to India. But that has not happened yet. Honda is likely to trademark the CL300 and CL500 in India. If launched, it could be a rival to the likes of Yezdi Scrambler and upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter 350.Source More
