Royal Enfield Hunter Variants Retro, Metro Rebel – Wt 177 Kgs, Colours Leak

With price tag of around Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 1.7 lakh, Hunter 350 will be the most affordable Royal Enfield bike upon launchRoyal Enfield Hunter 350 – Colours, Variants DetailsAs part of its strategy to target new segments, Royal Enfield will be launching Hunter 350cc motorcycle on August 7. While the hardware is the same as that of new gen Classic and Meteor 350, Hunter has a distinct, agile design. With Hunter, Royal Enfield will be looking to attract a new segment of users. It comes across as a nimble-footed bike that can be a true asset for city streets. It will primarily compete with the likes of Honda H’ness CB350, Yezdi Roadster and Jawa Forty Two.Royal Enfield Hunter VariantsPrior to its launch, it has been leaked that Hunter will be offered in two variants – Hunter Retro and Hunter Metro. There is also an additional variant, based on Hunter Metro, and it is called Hunter Metro Rebel. This will be top of the line variant on the Hunter 350 range. Leaked details are credit to Bullet Guru and GJV Team.Among the key differences between the two variants is the hardware configuration. For example, Hunter Retro variant will have a front disc and rear drum brake setup. Single-channel ABS will be offered as standard. It will get spokes wheels, bulb tail lamp, oval shape indicators, old Classic style instrument cluster, and will not come with a main stand. Kerb wt is 177 kgs.Royal Enfield Hunter Retro and Royal Enfield Hunter MetroIn comparison, Hunter Metro variant will have 300 mm and 270 mm disc at front and rear. It will be offered with dual-channel ABS. It will get alloys, LED tail lamp, round shape indicators, new Meteor style instrument cluster, and will get a main stand. Kerb wt is 181 kgs. Both variants will have 17-inch wheels at front and rear. Seat height is at 800 mm while ground clearance is at 150mm. Fuel tank capacity is 13 liters.Royal Enfield Hunter ColoursNew Hunter 350 will be offered in a choice of 8 colour options. The base Hunter Retro will be offered in two colour options of Factory Black and Factory Silver. Hunter Metro is offered in 3 colours of Dapper White, Dapper Ash and Dapper Grey. Of the three, the Dapper Grey option is only offered when you book the Hunter via Royal Enfield MIY app.Top of the line Royal Enfield Hunter Metro Rebel variant will be offered in three colours of Rebel Black, Rebel Blue, and Rebel Red. Of the three, Rebel Red can only be booked via MIY. The Rebel colours will come with dual tone finish, as seen in leaked spy shots.Royal Enfield Hunter Retro, Hunter Metro, Hunter Metro Rebel – ColoursWhile Hunter Metro variant will have better capabilities, it’s the Retro variant that will appeal to folks with limited budget. Assuming Hunter Retro is launched at around Rs 1.5 lakh, it will be a sweet deal in this segment. It’s quite possible, as Royal Enfield has focused on reducing cost of the bike. For example, plastic and fibre parts have been used instead of metal. This has also helped reduce weight of the bike, which in turn has boosted power-to-weight ratio.Another way of reducing cost of the bike is making Tripper navigation an optional feature. This strategy has already been deployed for Meteor 350 and Himalayan. It has also been revealed that Hunter will be offered in eight colour options. Three of these will be customizable.Royal Enfield Hunter 350cc RenderHunter 350 performanceHunter 350 has been built on the new J-platform that’s currently in use with Classic and Meteor 350. The bike has a twin downtube spine frame, integrated with telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. It is powered by the 349cc motor that makes 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm. It is mated to a constant mesh 5-speed gearbox. While Hunter is not expected to get any performance tweaks, it will automatically deliver better performance owing to its lightweight body. As compared to Classic and Meteor that weigh 195 kg and 191 kg, respectively, Hunter will have kerb weight of around 177 kg. Hunter is smaller and has a shorter wheelbase than Classic and Meteor, which makes it a more capable urban machine.Source More

Even though Apache and FZ offer a tough fight, they are no match to Pulsar sales in June 2022New Yamaha MT15. Image – Dev MTRJune 2022 has been a good month for motorcycle sales in general. If we take a look at top 200cc – 500cc sales chart and 500cc+ motorcycle sales charts, both segments have seen positive growth. But the 150cc – 200cc segment generally garners more sales than the above-mentioned segments. Let’s take a look.Cumulative sales of Pulsar series reach 31,778 units in June 2022 and see a 12.12 YoY growth over 28,343 units sold in June 2021. Even impressive, is a 148.09% MoM growth over just 12,809 units sold in May 2022. Pulsar currently holds 31.41% market share in June 2022 which used to be 14.52% last month. This hike seems to be due to the newly launched N160.Top 10 150cc To 200cc Motorcycles Jun 2022Yamaha FZ saw 19,305 units sold in June 2022 over 11,084 units sold in June 2021 and 15,068 units sold in May 2022. This gives it 74.14% YoY growth and 28.12% MoM growth and captures 19.08% of this market share in June 2022. Next in line is Apache by TVS which saw a 44.64% YoY dip and 38.11% MoM dip in sales. It sold 16,737 units in June 2022, 30,233 units in June 2021 and 27,044 units in May 2022 and currently has a 16.54% share.Yamaha’s R15 and MT15 sold 8,330 and 7,785 units in June 2022 respectively and registers 65.94% and 114.58% YoY growth over June 2021 and 16.99% and 2.65% MoM growth over May 2022 respectively. R15 and MT15 currently enjoy 8.23% and 7.69% of this market. We have Avenger 160 in 6th place with 4,828 units sold in June 2022, 1,717 units sold in June 2021 and 1,824 units in May 2022. It registers 181.19% YoY growth and 164.69% (nice) MoM growth.150cc to 200cc Motorcycle Sales June 2022 vs June 2021 (YoY)Next on the list is Hero. XPulse 200 and Xtreme 160R sold 4,642 and 3,806 units in June 2022 respectively and registered 153.25% and 274.24% YoY growth over June 2021. XPulse 200 saw 33.35% growth MoM while Xtreme 160R saw a dip of 10.57% over May 2022. Both XPulse 200 and Xtreme 160R currently enjoy 4.59% and 3.76% of this market.Honda has four bikes on this list. Unicorn 160 at 9th place, X Blade at 10th place, CB200X at 12th place and Hornet 2.0 at 14th place. Even though Unicorn 160 and X Blade record highest-in-the-list 671% and 901% YoY growth respectively, all of them register a dip in sales. Unicorn 160 sees 39.16%, X Blade sees 40.03%, CB200X sees 78.41% and Hornet 2.0 saw 94.50% dip in sales in June 2022 over May 2022.KTM, Suzuki SalesThis leaves us with KTM and Suzuki. Gixxer registers an 86.07% drop YoY and 85.41% drop in MoM.150cc to 200cc Motorcycle Sales June 2022 vs May 2022 (MoM)The most interesting development in this segment is the rise of Avenger 160. Because TVS was hoping otherwise with the launch of Ronin as a “cruiser” is one of its credentials. Also, for some reason, Honda Unicorn 160 and X Blade are gaining popularity. Especially X Blade which saw 901.10% growth YoY.All-in-all, the top 150cc – 200cc segment registered 18.11% YoY growth and 14.68% MoM growth with 1,01,186 units sold in June 2022, 85,672 units sold in June 2021 and 88,236 units sold in May 2022. Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Teaser Mentions Bullet Meri Jaan – 5th Aug

Royal Enfield Hunter 350 will be launched on 7th August 2022 – First official teaser of the same is now outRoyal Enfield Hunter 350 Teaser – Bullet Meri JaanRoyal Enfield has planned to launch many new motorcycles. Almost all are either on their 350cc platform or on the 650cc platform. They are the leaders in these respective segments.Ahead of their next new motorcycle launch, Royal Enfield has dropped a teaser, which says block your date 07.08.2022. But there is a twist in the teaser. It also mentions another date and another RE motorcycle name.Royal Enfield Hunter 350 TeaserThe ‘block your date’ reminder from Royal Enfield starts a weeklong countdown. And, there maybe a wee bit more to it than meets the eye. But then again, we’re overthinkers. The short 10-second video on its way to the day of action does employ a decoy. A look at the backdrop suggests a second launch. It’s likely the manufacturer has lined up 2 launches or this is a ploy to keep the audience guessing. We wouldn’t bank on it but there’s no harm in hoping, especially since this seems like a deliberate hint hidden in plain sight. Take a look at the Hunter 350 teaser video below.[embedded content][embedded content]And that prelude points to the Bullet. In keeping expectations at a minimum, this may not be a full-fledged launch but a reveal. The video backdrop, a retro pop art collage references not the block your date, but a predate listing ‘Bullet Meri Jaan’. It could be a folderol or fold up your sleeves, and let’s roll. The poster also has the photo of Siddhartha Lal.New Gen Bullet 350 Launch 5th Aug?Bullet Meri JaanIn spirit, Bullet 350 has for long carried the very spirit of Royal Enfield. And a recent spyshot enthuses spirits. And points to a Bullet 350 built on the automaker’s newer J-Series engine. A transition that’s expected, and well on its way. New Bullet 350 continues to be retro to its core, a design principle that’s key to Royal Enfield.Hunter as well as Bullet are built on the same platform. They will be powered by the same engine. Both are expected to be priced in a similar range, but will target different audiences. Launch price is expected to start under Rs 1.5 lakh, ex-sh.Could very well be a pleasant surprise if both motorcycles are revealed in succession. Double trouble. Bullet 350 Std new gen on 5th Aug and Hunter 350 on 7th Aug. Which upcoming RE are you waiting for? More

TVS Apache 310 ADV Render Based On BMW G310GS – New Fiero ?

TVS Apache 310 ADV if launched, will be powered by the same 312cc as the BMW G 310 GSTVS Apache 310 ADV As Fiero 310 – RenderTVS recently launched the Ronin scrambler-style motorcycle in India. It comes with a unique mix of characters from scrambler, cruiser and street bikes in one. It doesn’t blend together well though as it tries to place its feet (tyre, in this case) on three different boats at the same time.Ronin launch left us thinking as to why TVS did not launch an ADV, which is all the rage in India currently. So much so, that manufacturers like Honda and Suzuki are making pseudo ADVs just to go halfway at least towards the adventure-tourer genre.Compared to creating Ronin, TVS could have created an ADV motorcycle using far less resources. They could have used the current Apache 200 platform to make an ADV to rival the likes of Hero Xpulse 200 or used their Apache 310 platform and made something to take on KTM 390 ADV.TVS Apache 310 GS ADVUntil now, it was believed that TVS was not launching an ADV based on the 310 platform because BMW had one on offer on the same platform. It is on this platform that TVS had a fully faired motorcycle on offer, while BMW had a naked and ADV on offer. But with the recent launch of BMW G 310 RR, which is basically a rebadged Apache 310, it is likely that we will get to see a rebadged Apache 310 ADV, based on G310GS.TVS Apache 310 ADV As Fiero 310 – RenderRendering artist Pratyush Raut has digitally imagined TVS Apache 310 ADV, and given it the name TVS Fiero 310. You can call it TVS Apache GS 310, but we doubt if BMW will be happy to share their GS tag. Please note that the renderings in this post are created by an independent artist and are not commissioned or approved by TVS.This reverse-inclined 312.2 cc firecracker single-cylinder engine makes 33.52 bhp of power at 9,700 RPM and 27.3 Nm of torque at 7,700 RPM. It is mated to a slick-shifting 6-speed gearbox and gets modern technology like ride-by-wire throttle enabling creep mode. TVS Apache GS 310 ADV weighs a decent 174 kg which increases the power-to-weight ratio when compared to other track-focused machines.Specs & PricingIt gets a low 810 mm seat height helping shorter riders to get on and off the motorcycle. BMW recently updated the colour schemes on the G 310 GS. Our render of TVS Apache 310 GS gets three shades inspired by TVS Apache RR 310. A Slick Red, which resembles the Racing Red colour, a Stealth Black resembling the Titanium Black colour TVS offers on Apache RR 310.TVS Apache 310 ADV As Fiero 310 – RenderThe third colour is something of our own imagination which we call, Minimalist White. Unlike the other two shades that play with black and red splashes on the trellis frame, tank and other places, Minimalist White is entirely blacked out: Except for the fuel tank that gets a white shade and the red frame tubes. This looks the best according to me at least as it brings out the purest colours on earth, Black, White and Red.TVS hasn’t confirmed if they have an ADV on their cards yet. But it is a glaring omission from one of the largest mainstream motorcycle manufacturers in India. If TVS goes this route and launches a rebranded BMW, it could be priced lower than the G310GS, which is priced at about Rs 3.1 lakh, ex-sh currently. More

2022 Yamaha R3 India Launch Likely By Diwali This Year

Yamaha R3 was available earlier in India, but was discontinued due to stricter BS6 emission norms2022 Yamaha R3Yamaha YZF-R3 was launched in India in 2015, at a time when Yamaha had established itself as a leading provider of sports bikes in the country. However, due to the high pricing of Rs 3.25 lakh, Yamaha R3 could not register strong sales numbers. Last known price of the bike was Rs 3.51 lakh, which is higher than rivals like KTM RC 390 and TVS Apache RR310.BS6 version of Yamaha R3 was expected to be launched much earlier, but plans were delayed due to the pandemic. Sources tell Rushlane that R3 could be relaunched in India by Diwali 2022. If R3 has to emerge a bestseller, it is imperative that its pricing needs to be revised. It also has to deal with new competitors such as recently launched BMW G310RR. BMW’s entry-level faired bike is priced at Rs 2.85 lakh, which is around Rs 20k more than TVS Apache RR310.2022 Yamaha R3 featuresIn several international markets, Yamaha had launched the 2022 version of R3 this year. A number of updates including new colour options have been introduced since the time the bike was discontinued in India. 2022 R3 has sleek, aerodynamic design and refined aesthetics, inspired by MotoGP YZR-M1.Some key features include twin LED headlamp setup, central airduct for fast engine cooling, compact windscreen, front cowl mounted sporty rear view mirrors, side fairing mounted turn indicators, sculpted fuel tank, split seat design and upswept exhaust.2022 Yamaha R3Built for the tracks, Yamaha R3 has a committed riding stance with rear-set footpegs and low-set handlebar. The bike has a full digital instrument panel that displays a range of information such as fuel capacity, gear position, water temp, real time and average fuel economy, trip meter and clock.Yamaha R3 specsOver the years, Yamaha has worked to reduce R3’s weight to increase its power-to-weight ratio. A lightweight profile improves performance across racetracks as well as busy city streets. Changes made include tweaks to the chassis and use of lightweight, yet stronger pistons. 2022 R3 has a wet weight of 170 kg, which is less than both RC 390 and RR310. Another advantage is the low seat height of 780 mm, which helps improve balance and handling.Yamaha R3 has USD forks at front and preload adjustable monocross rear suspension. Braking duties are performed by 298 mm and 220 mm disc at front and rear. Dual-channel ABS is offered as standard. The bike has 17-inch wheels at both ends, shod with 110/70 front and 140/70 rear tyres.Powering the bike is a 321cc, liquid cooled, DOHC motor that generates 40.4 bhp of max power at 10,750 rpm and 29.4 Nm of peak torque at 9,000 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch. The engine has high-rev architecture and advanced cylinder construction, which work to ensure smooth, vibration-free rides even at high speeds. The joint venture will result in production of premium mid-displacement motorcycles which will be retailed under the iconic British brand in India as well as overseas markets. The association between the two auto giants has led to the development of at least two bikes with the same underpinnings and engine but slightly different body styles. Both these motorcycles have recently been caught on camera for the first time. One is a neo-retro roadster while the other is a scrambler. The former will take on the likes of Royal Enfield Meteor 350 while the latter will take on the likes of Yezdi Scrambler and upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter 350.Bajaj-Triumph Scrambler: EngineThe roadster has already been discussed at a length previously. The scrambler is a different take on the motorcycle with the same engine. As mentioned earlier, both bikes will be powered by the same motor. Although exact configurations aren’t known yet, we expect this mill to be a single-cylinder unit with a sub-500cc displacement. The engine has supposedly been developed by Triumph since it wears a similar look. The motor is nestled in a triangular-shaped casing which is reminiscent of the bigger Bonnevilles. The motor gets cooling fins but those are only meant for aesthetic purposes as it features a large radiator which means it will be a liquid-cooled unit. In all likelihood, the engine will use a 4-valve, DOHC layout like the KTM models developed by Bajaj.New Bajaj Triumph Motorcycle Will Rival Royal EnfieldLike its roadster sibling, the upcoming Triumph scrambler borrows visual cues from the neo-retro range of motorcycles from the British brand. The most evident styling inspiration is Triumph’s existing Street Scrambler with signature highlights such as a round headlight, an engine underbelly crash guard, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank with rubber pads on the sides and split-style seats. Both the roadster and scrambler get a single exhaust tailpipe with a dual-barrel canister although their design appears slightly different from each other. The latter’s scrambler appeal is highlighted with the presence of a tall-set beak-like front fender, knuckle guards, a short flyscreen and a luggage rack at rear, some of which will be available as accessories.Features & HardwareAs far as equipment is concerned, this test mule flaunted a rectangular digital TFT instrument console similar to the ones used in the 390 range of KTM. However, the production-spec model could use something more retro like a circular semi-digital cluster to suit the bike’s character. The bike is also expected to pack full LED illumination and multiple riding modes.Upcoming Bajaj Triumph Scrambler MotorcycleComing to its hardware, both the scrambler and its roadster singling appear to be based on a tubular chassis with bolt-on rear subframes. The chassis will be suspended on upside-down forks at front and a mono-shock at rear, although the suspension setup of the scrambler is likely to offer more travel. Braking duties will be carried out by a 4-piston radially mounted caliper with a single disc at front and rear each.Unlike the roadster with a 17-inch front wheel, the scrambler runs on a larger 19-inch front alloy wheel. The rear wheel on both bikes remain 17-inch units, however, the alloy wheels on scrambler are shod with semi-knobby road-biased tyres from Metzeler. The spy images suggest that the scrambler will also have a higher saddle. Launch of the Bajaj Triumph motorcycle is confirmed for 2023. Prices are expected to be in the Rs 2 lakh range. More
