Triumph Thruxton 400 Cafe Racer Testing Continues Before Launch

Triumph Thruxton 400 Cafe Racer TestingBajaj and Triumph are stepping up their game in the premium single-cylinder motorcycle segment. After launching the Speed 400, Scrambler 400X and Speed T4, Triumph is now working on Scrambler T4 (speculated name) and a Thruxton 400 (speculated name) and the testing continues in full swing as suggested by recent spy shots.
    Thruxton 400 Cafe Racer Testing
With the launch of Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X, Triumph opened a new chapter in terms of pricing and product planning. Based on the new 400cc platform, Triumph has already launched three motorcycles and is on the verge of developing two more motorcycles. Production of these motorcycles is handled by Bajaj Auto.
Triumph Thruxton 400 Cafe Racer Styling
Speculated to be called Thruxton 400, Triumph’s latest Cafe Racer motorcycle brings style and substance to this segment. There is a possibility of this being called Speed 400 RR, building on the popularity of Speed 400. This motorcycle has been spied globally multiple times and is the 2nd recorded instance of testing in India.
As seen in the video by The Fat Biker, Triumph Thruxton 400 is a Cafe Racer style motorcycle with a striking semi fairing setup. Other Cafe Racer cues like low-set clip-on handlebars and bar-end mirrors are present. Other than that, we have retro design cues like circular headlight, circular ORVMs, an analogue tachometer and more.
Triumph Thruxton 400 Cafe Racer Styling
Interestingly, there seems to be an X insignia LED signature in the headlights. Along with that, we have LED tail lights and turn indicators, black USD telescopic front forks and a single seat setup with a single-piece rear grab rail. Rider’s triangle looks slightly more committed than Speed 400 owing to the low-set clip-on handlebars.
    What to expect?
Triumph Thruxton 400 is probably rocking the same main frame, sub frame and swingarm as Speed 400. Suspension components include USD front forks and a rear mono-shock, while braking is handled by single discs at both ends with dual channel ABS. Tyres are likely to be slightly fatter than the 150-section rear tyre on Speed 400. Royal Enfield Guerrilla does offer 160-section tyres, if you’re wondering.
    [embedded content]
These spy shots from The Fat Biker suggest that Triumph Thruxton 400 Cafe Racer will get the same semi-digital instrument cluster as Speed 400. Where powertrains are concerned, it will be powered by the same 398.15cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled DOHC 4V/cyl engine with around 40 bhp and 38 Nm, mated to a slipper clutch and a 6-speed gearbox. Launch is likely around festive season. More

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Peix Bronze Colour Launch Price Rs 2.49 L

Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 New Peix Bronze ColourExpanding the colour palette of Guerrilla 450, Royal Enfield has just introduced Peix Bronze colourway with the mid-spec Dash variant. The company has not increased prices of Dash variant with this new colour, maintaining the Rs 2.49 lakh (Ex-sh) price tag. Let’s take a look at the new colour.
Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 Peix Bronze
The premium single-cylinder motorcycle segment is getting overtly popular in the recent past. With more buyers foraying into this segment, there is a rush among OEMs to launch the best products here. Among these OEMs is Royal Enfield, which is launching a new Peix Bronze colour for Guerrilla 450’s mid-spec Dash variant.
Guerrilla 450 Peix Bronze and Smoke Silver
Royal Enfield first showcased Peix Bronze shade on Guerrilla 450 at 2024 Motoverse show in Goa and is launched today. Along with the launch of Peix Bronze shade, Royal Enfield is offering Smoke Silver colourway with Dash variant. This colourway used to be exclusive to base Analogue variant, which is now also part of Dash variant, based on customer demands.
Where design is concerned, Guerrilla 450 is a lot more appealing to look at, when compared to Himalayan 450. Owing to its roadster design, it is aimed to appeal a wider audience base, which doesn’t seem to be the case as reflected by sales charts. Royal Enfield sold just 349 of Guerrilla 450 last month and the new colours are expected to boost sales.
    Guerrilla 450 New Peix Bronze
Round LED headlights, round Tripper Dash (on mid and top variants), round ORVMs, LED tail lights integrated into the turn indicators, classic fuel tank design, fork gaiters, a clean tail section flaunting the fat 160-section tyre, swanky alloy wheels, soothing body panels, blackened engine bay, stubby exhaust finished in silver, stylish dual tone colours are notable elements.
    Engine Specs
Royal Enfield Guerrilla 450 shares the same 452cc DOHC 4V liquid-cooled Sherpa 450 engine as its ADV sibling, Himalayan 450. Because it has shed some weight, the 40 bhp and 40 Nm metrics offer brisker performance when compared to Himalayan 450. Better acceleration, braking and higher top speed are evident.
    New Peix Bronze Colour
Componentry-wise, Guerrilla 450 offers RSU telescopic front forks, a rear mono-shock suspension unit, fat 160-section rear tyre and disc brakes at both ends with dual channel ABS are notable. Features include ride-by-wire throttle, a slipper clutch, a 6-speed gearbox, Google Maps, music control and others. More

Royal Enfield Scram 440 Vs Harley X440 – Specs, Features Compared

Scram 440 Vs Harley X440With Himalayan 450 replacing the Himalayan 411, this 411cc LS engine was limited to Scram 411, which is now updated to displace 440cc and gets a 6-speed gearbox. Royal Enfield has invested in updating this powertrain which only one motorcycle has benefited from, which is unlike RE’s strategies in the recent past.
Royal Enfield is offering the LS engine with its torquey nature, while the new Sherpa 450 engine offers thrilling performance. Also, Scram 440 is now a more fitting rival to other 440cc motorcycles in the premium motorcycle segment from legacy brands like Harley-Davidson X440. Let’s take a look at how these motorcycles fare against each other.
    New Royal Enfield Scram 440
    Scram 440 Vs Harley X440
Starting with price, Royal Enfield has priced the Scram 440 from Rs 2.08 lakh (Ex-sh) for Trail variant and Rs 2.15 lakh (Ex-sh) for Force variant. In contrast, Harley-Davidson has priced X440 from Rs 2.39 lakh (Ex-sh) for base Denim variant and goes till Rs 2.79 lakh (Ex-sh) for S variant. X440 offers quite a lot more even from the base variant, while some of the notable features of Scram 440 are optional extras.
Powertrains-wise, both motorcycles get a single-cylinder SOHC oil-cooled engine, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Both engines are of long-stroke type, prioritising low-end torque for ease of ride. X440 is more powerful and more torquey and develops its peak power at lower RPMs when compared to that of Scram 440.
Scram 440 Vs Harley X440 – Specs & Features Compared
Where design is concerned, Scram 440 is a Scrambler-style motorcycle as the name suggests. X440, on the other hand, is a Roadster style bike. Scram 440 has more off-road prowess with higher ground clearance, larger 19-inch front wheel and higher suspension travel. X440 has 18-inch front wheel, which is only one inch smaller than that of Scram’s. Royal Enfield is offering 1,460 mm wheelbase with Scram 440, making it a more relaxed off-roader.
    Specs & Features Compared
Both motorcycles offer wire-spoke wheels with tube-type tyres in their lower variants. Notably, Scram 440 gets skinny 120-section rear tyres and X440 offers 140-section tyres. Scram 440 has a larger fuel tank at 15L, which is 1.5L more than X440’s. With a kerb weight of 196 kg, Scram 440 is also heavier, whereas X440 tips the scale at 190.5 kg.
    Harley-Davidson X440
The lower weight and higher performance metrics give Harley-Davidson X440 the advantage in power-to-weight ratio. Also, the X440 platform is surprisingly agile and responds well to corners and feels very light on its feet, masking its 190.5 kg kerb weight quite beautifully. The main contributor in this regard might be the USD front forks X440 offers as standard, while Scram 440 doesn’t, even as an option. X440 gets twin shock absorbers at the rear.
Royal Enfield’s Tripper Screen with Google Maps is an optional add-on, and a semi-digital instrument cluster is offered as standard. In contrast, X440 offers a 3.5-inch colour TFT instrument cluster as standard, while the top-spec S trim offers Bluetooth connection with navigation support and music controls. Lighting is all LED with X440, whereas turn indicators are still Halogen units on Scram 440. Both motorcycles offer disc brakes at both ends with dual channel ABS. More

Honda SCR125 Scooter Patented In India – Smaller Than Activa, Dio

Honda SCR125 Scooter Patented In India
India’s leading scooter manufacturer, Honda, seems to be interested in expanding its scooter portfolio. We say this because the company has just patented Honda SCR125 scooter in India and might have launch intentions. This is a smaller scooter that will slot below Activa and Dio, if it is launched in India. Let’s take a look.
    Honda SCR125 Scooter Patented
Being the largest scooter manufacturer in India, Honda has found great success from Activa and Dio. Primarily Activa. However, the company has not found any success with scooters below the Activa and Dio. We’ve had Navi scooter X Motorcycle which didn’t appeal to buyers and we had CliQ, which didn’t click.
Honda SCR125 Scooter Patented In India
Now, Honda has patented SCR125 Xisha scooter in India, which could launch as a smaller scooter below Activa and Dio. Honda Scooter and Motorcycles India (HMSI) has not officially confirmed whether it will launch SCR125 Xisha or not. Also, there is a good probability of this patent just being an IP protection exercise, just like the Honda CG 160.
    Honda SCR125 Xisha
Where design is concerned, Honda SCR125 Xisha is a conventional and practical step-through scooter for families. It has apron-mounted halogen headlight and handlebar-mounted turn indicators. Rear design is conventional too as it has a halogen tail light and halogen turn indicators at both ends.
    Honda SCR125 Xisha
    Specs & Features
For practicality, Honda is offering two open glove boxes behind the apron along with a hook. There’s a USB charging port beside a conventional keyhole, a solid stainless steel rear shelf, a single-piece comfortable seat, spacious floorboard, alloy wheels, disc brake setup at the front and a parking brake.
    Honda SCR125 Xisha
Instrument cluster is simple and is of analogue type completely. Fuel tank has 6L capacity, minimum ground clearance is 110 mm, wheelbase is 1,245 mm and the kerb weight is 103 kg. Honda SCR125 Xisha is powered by a 125cc engine that is rated at 8.85 bhp of peak power and an 88 km/h top speed.

Effect of which, will be reflected in the sales chart of February 2025 month.
