2025 Kawasaki KLX 230 Sherpa Debuts With New Design Elements

New Kawasaki KLX 230 Sherpa vs KLX 230
The 2025 Kawasaki KLX 230 Sherpa is uniquely setup than standard bike with less suspension travel, lower weight and higher torque
With ADV segment gaining more popularity in India, Kawasaki is set to launch its most affordable mainstream off-road bike in the form of KLX 230. Launch timeline for KLX 230 is December 2024 and is expected to get aggressive pricing to rival the likes of Hero Xpulse and Yezdi Adventure.
However, the new 2025 Kawasaki KLX 230 Sherpa has just debuted in Japan, featuring a new design that looks a lot more modern and aesthetic. It stays similar to the KLX 230 lineup, with subtle design changes and new colour palette to establish a new appearance with KLX 230 Sherpa. Let’s take a look at the new model’s design.
    Kawasaki KLX 230 Sherpa
    2025 Kawasaki KLX 230 Sherpa
We can see the company playing with colours for different finishes and combinations to establish a unique look. Headlight unit seems to be the same twin LED setup, but KLX 230 Sherpa now gets a dual-tone effect with a black windscreen look. ORVMs are the same round units and the beak is identical.
With KLX 230 Sherpa, Kawasaki has added knuckle guards fixed on both ends. Front long travel RSU telescopic forks with fork gaiters get a blacked-out finish that looks better than silver finish of KLX 230. Also looks better is the new fuel tank with more subtle tank shrouds. These tank shrouds get multiple design elements for a modern appeal.
    [embedded content]

    Lower weight, more torque!
There are new graphics on fuel tank too. Notably, Kawasaki has given the mainframe and swingarm body colour treatment that looks really nice. On KLX 230, exhaust heat shield was finished in body colour, which is Black in KLX 230 Sherpa. This move reduces visual bulk and lends a sleeker vibe.
    KLX 230 Sherpa
Also reducing the visual bulk is the single-piece seat with a monotone Black shade. The heat shield on exhaust bend pipe near engine is finished in Black with KLX 230 Sherpa. Other than these changes, KLX 230 Sherpa is very close to the standard KLX 230 in powertrains and componentry.
    KLX 230 Sherpa
Bike still rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch wheels with off-road tyres, single petal discs at both ends. Ground clearance on Sherpa is 240mm, as opposed to KLX 230’s 265 mm. KLX 230 Sherpa also weighs 134 kg, which is 5kg lighter than KLX 230. While India-spec Kawasaki KLX 230 develops 18.1 PS and 18.3 Nm, KLX 230 Sherpa generates 18 PS and 19 Nm.
Suspension travel of KLX 230 Sherpa is lower too, when compared to KLX 230. Kawasaki India will launch KLX 230 in December 2024, and there are very few chances of a Sherpa version in the future with improved aesthetics. More

2025 Hero Karizma 210 Pro Showcased At EICMA – USD Forks, New Features

    Hero Karizma 210 Pro
With these additions, Hero Karizma XMR 210 Pro might emerge as one of the most VFM motorcycles one can buy under Rs 2 lakh (Ex-sh)
If there is one Indian 2W manufacturer who is on the verge of revamping its premium vehicle portfolio, it has to be Hero MotoCorp. The company is spending a lot of its R&D to rejuvenate its premium lineup. One of the most interesting examples of this strategy is the Karizma 210 Pro showcased at EICMA.
    2025 Hero Karizma 210 Pro
While the company has not confirmed the name Karizma XMR 210 Pro, it is befitting to this product, considering Hero’s strategies. For starters, Hero MotoCorp offers a Pro variant of Xpulse with upgraded suspension and the same might soon launch with Karizma XMR 210 as well.
    Hero Karizma 210 Pro
Unlike Xpulse 200 Pro which gets fully adjustable (compression and rebound front, rebound and preload rear) long travel suspension for better off-roading capability, Karizma XMR 210 Pro packs USD telescopic front forks for better handling and cornering capabilities.
These USD front forks are finished in a lovely shade of Gold, highlighting the premium quotient further. When it was launched, Karizma XMR 210 lacked a couple of attributes to make it a complete motorcycle. One of them was USD telescopic front forks, which was a glaring omission on a Supersports machine.
    Hero Karizma 210 Pro
Now, Hero MotoCorp is set to fix this with the launch of a new variant for Karizma XMR 210 that offers USD telescopic front forks. Equipped with these superior suspension components, Karizma XMR 210 will get enhanced handling and corner-carving capabilities and might set a new benchmark in the value-for-money quotient.
    What else is new?
There is another major addition with Hero Karizma XMR 210 Pro and that is a TFT instrument cluster with dedicated switchgear that will replace the current LCD unit seen with standard model. It is a slight head-scratcher as the just-unveiled and higher-tier Karizma XMR 250 still gets an LCD unit while the Xtreme 250R and Xpulse 210 get TFT unit.
    Karizma 210 Pro New Cluster
These details might change when these motorcycles reach production phase in India. Hopefully we could see the more premium TFT cluster on all of the recently showcased offerings. Other than these changes, Karizma XMR 210 Pro will remain the same and position itself above Standard Karizma XMR 210 and Karizma XMR 250.
It will continue to offer an excellent package including a 210cc liquid-cooled DOHC 4V engine that kicks out 25.5 PS of peak power and 20.4 Nm of peak torque, a 6-speed gearbox, slipper clutch, dual-channel ABS, Bluetooth connectivity with navigation, automatic headlights, adjustable windscreen and more.

Hero Xpulse 421 Sketch Officially Revealed – KTM 390, Himalayan 450 Rival

Hero Xpulse 421 Sketch. Credit – PowerdriftUpon launch, new Hero Xpulse 421 will challenge rivals such as Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure R
Adopting a strategy similar to other homegrown OEMs, Hero MotoCorp has started adding higher capacity bikes to its portfolio. At the 2024 EICMA, two new quarter-litre bikes were unveiled – Karizma XMR 250 and Xtreme 250R. And now, Hero has also provided a glimpse of the upcoming Xpulse 421.
Hero Xpulse 421 – What to expect?
With rivals like Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure, performance has to be top-notch for any new product being launched. Hero Xpulse 421 will be using an entirely new 420cc engine that is estimated to produce around 43 to 45 bhp. In comparison, Himalayan 450 churns out around 40 bhp and 40 Nm. The numbers for 2025 KTM 390 Adventure have not been revealed. Although general expectations are around 45 bhp and 40 Nm of torque.
    Hero Xpulse 421 Sketch
Hero will ensure that on-ground performance matches that of rival offerings. And with Hero’s competitive pricing strategy, Xpulse 421 could emerge as the most affordable in its class. An initial offer price of around Rs 2.80 lakh could be possible for Hero Xpulse 421. However, assuming that there will be multiple variants, the base-spec version with limited features could be priced even lower.
At the 2024 EICMA, Hero provided only some sketches of the bike and a glimpse of the clay models. Some of the key highlights include a stylish LED headlamp with LED DRLs, a large windscreen, knuckle guards, polygonal rear-view mirrors and a sleek design for the fuel tank. The bike’s engine is adequately protected with a robust bash plate. As the exhaust pipe passes near to the rider’s leg, a heat shield has been added. This positioning of the exhaust pipe is necessitated due to the high-mount exhaust.
    Hero Xpulse 421 Sketch
Hero Xpulse 421 – Equipment list
To effectively compete with rivals, Hero Xpulse 421 will be getting a comprehensive range of features. For example, the teaser has revealed the presence of a horizontally placed colour TFT screen. It is likely to have Bluetooth, allowing users to access a range of connectivity features. Hero Xpulse 421 is also expected to get multiple electronic driving aids such as traction control and driving modes.
Other highlights include USD forks in golden finish, monoshock rear suspension, box section swingarm and switchable ABS. The bike is expected to get 21-inch and 18-inch wheel combo, wrapped in dual-purpose tyres. Tubeless tyres are desirable, but it is not confirmed if Hero Xpulse 421 will be getting those.
Hero Xpulse 421 – Launch date
A specific launch timeline for Xpulse 421 is not available. The bike will have to endure extensive testing, something that can take several months. It is possible that Hero could launch the Xpulse 421 in 2025 or early 2026. The company will certainly be keen on introducing its flagship adventure bike at the earliest. This segment has been registering strong interest and has significant growth potential.
Hero has tasted success with the smaller capacity Xpulse and will be looking to achieve something similar with the Xpulse 421. At the 2024 EICMA, Hero also unveiled the Xpulse 210 and the updated Mavrick 440.
