Bajaj Pulsar Elan, Pulsar Eleganza – New Motorcycle Names Trademarked

Pulsar range of motorcycles from Bajaj compete against Apache brand of bikes from TVSModified Pulsar by Renovatio Motorworks for referenceWhile Bajaj has been a household name in India for many decades, the brand’s popularity grew in overseas markets when it introduced the Pulsar lineup. Along with Boxer, the Pulsar range of sporty commuter motorcycles is responsible for Bajaj Auto’s growth as a two-wheeler manufacturer in international markets.Launched back in 2001, the Pulsar brand has remained a mainstay in the motorcycle segment for more than two decades. Currently, Bajaj is in a rebuilding phase and is trying to reinvent the Pulsar series by introducing some new models under its belt. The first in this revamped lineup is Pulsar 250 twins- N250 and F250.New Range Of Bajaj Pulsar IncomingBoth these motorcycles made their debut in November last year and are spiritual successors to the discontinued flagship Pulsar 220F. While Pulsar bikes have always maintained a stronghold in the market, their sales volume has noticeably decreased over the last few months.Ever since Bajaj joined hands with KTM in 2011, the Indian two-wheeler brand has built similar engine-sized Pulsar motorcycles. These include Pulsar NS200 and Pulsar RS200 which despite initial successes haven’t been able to generate significant mass sales volumes. To boost sales, Bajaj is working on launching a new range of Pulsar motorcycles that will represent the original ethos of the brand.New Bajaj Pulsar names registered – Pulsar Elan and Pulsar EleganzBajaj Pulsar Elan and Pulsar EleganzIn relation to this, Bajaj has filed two new trademarks – Pulsar Elan and Pulsar Eleganz. These are likely names of their upcoming new motorcycles in the Pulsar range. It is not clear what these bikes will be like.Bajaj Pulsar ELANThese could sit under the current flagship Pulsar 250 or are the names of a more powerful Pulsar, based on the upcoming KTM 490 twin cylinder. Bajaj has also registered the name Twinner. There are no specific details attached to this development but the upcoming Pulsar Eleganz and Pulsar Elan are likely to follow the same philosophy as the original Pulsars.Original Pulsars have always been known for their low-end grunt that feature Bajaj’s stronghold technologies, DTSi and ExhausTEC. These motorcycles came with a unique engine characteristic and a sweet exhaust note. Though not packed with class-leading features, these bikes offered plenty of grunt for everyday sporty performance.Bajaj Pulsar ELEGANZBajaj Pulsar Sales, Pulsar 250 SpecsAt present, Bajaj retails multiple Pulsar models with varying engine displacements ranging from 125cc, 150cc, 160cc, 180cc, 200cc and 250cc. Ola S1 Vs Bajaj Chetak Vs Ather Electric Scooter – Hill Climb Test

While Ola S1 Pro got the best 0-40 kmph kick down acceleration, it failed to reach top of the hill even in Sport modeElectric Scooter Hill Climb TestThere has been a raging ongoing debate about performance of electric scooters which are key to future mobility solutions. Many electric scooters have faced scrutiny regarding their battery management system which often fail to respond in tough conditions. While it is very true that EVs are very quick off the block, many e-scooters fail to keep up the performance in challenging terrains. The latest video from Asardar Reviews on YouTube is a clear example of battery-powered scooters not being able to perform up to the mark in certain cases.Electric Scooter Hill Climb TestIn this particular video, the vlogger has cited three well-known examples in the form of Ather 450, Bajaj Chetak and Ola S1 Pro. Here, all three electric scooters are tested separately on hilly terrain and their performance is scrutinised. The vlogger reveals that this test has been conducted specifically for people living around hilly areas who are planning on buying an electric scooter. All electric scooters seen here have been tested with a pillion sitting behind the rider, at least initially, giving a real-world simulation. The test starts with Bajaj Chetak since it’s the oldest of all three models seen in this video. The vlogger slots Chetak in Eco mode initially. It started off well with some promising performance and managed to make some sharp turns relatively easily.[embedded content][embedded content]After a couple of tricky hairpins, Chetak automatically switched to Sport mode when it realised that the scooter might need more power while climbing up. Here the scooter has clocked a top speed of around 45 kmph on its upwards journey with fair ease. Next up is Ather 450 which has been a revolutionary model in the electric mobility space.Ather Performs BestLike Chetak, Ather 450 gets multiple ride modes, however, unlike the former, ride modes on this one have to be manually toggled. In this case, as well, the vlogger started out in Eco mode and after a couple of hairpins it was realised that it loses momentum, especially with 2 people sitting on it. When slotted in Warp mode, Ather 450 is able to reach the top of the hill fairly easily while attaining an impressive top speed of 60 kmph.Ola S1 Pro DisappointsOla S1 Pro was kept last since, it is the latest offering in the two-wheeler EV space and claims the best performance, at least on paper. When started in Eco mode, S1 Pro offers the quickest 0-40 kmph acceleration. However, when it comes across its first hairpin, speed of the scooter drastically reduces until it comes to a complete halt. The scooter refuses to respond to throttle twists. It remained the same, even after the pillion disembarked. The Ola e-scooter started climbing uphill once switched to Sport mode, however, it once again came to a sudden stop when the AI in the scooter notified that the battery has heated and needs to be cooled. Vlogger had to push the scooter before reaching the top. More

Bajaj Pulsar 900RR Fully Faired Superbike Based On KTM 890 – Render

Bajaj Pulsar 900RR sources most of its components from the KTM 890 series including hardware and powertrainBajaj Pulsar 900RR Sportsbike Render By Vinay Raj SomashekarPulsar brand is synonymous with sporty commuter bikes in India. Pulsar has been instrumental in Bajaj Auto’s success in domestic as well as overseas markets in the last two decades. Bajaj offers the Pulsar range in multiple iterations with varying engine displacements.Currently, the flagship motorcycles in this series are Pulsar N250 and Pulsar F250. A designer has digitally imagined a supersport version of the bike called Pulsar 900RR. Created by Vinay Raj Somashekar, this digitally rendered design showcases how this motorcycle could turn out if Bajaj thinks of introducing this in the market.Bajaj Pulsar 900RR Superbike RenderedThe rendering takes inspiration from a sprinting athlete stance – since the existing range of Pulsars particularly NS200 and RS200 borrow their stance from various postures of an athlete. Signature styling elements like a high and swooping shoulder line along with muscular and chiseled surfaces form an integral part of the current Pulsars. Hence, these elements have been carried forward in this digitally imagined Pular 900RR.Pulsar 900RR gets an aggressive and pouncing stance which enhances its aerodynamic properties. It gets a slightly unconventional design with part split panels. Side fairing has incorporated vents for smoother airflow during high speeds whereas sharp cuts and creases with a muscular fuel tank give it an appearance of a proper racing machine.Bajaj Pulsar 900RR Design InspirationFront fairing with a twin-pod headlamp setup and a tall windscreen gives it a menacing look of a very familiar masked superhero vigilante. At rear, it gets a very sharp and upright tail section with a very small pillion seat. A clip-on style low-set handlebar complemented by rear-set footpegs makes for a very sporty and committed riding posture as expected.Bajaj Pulsar 900RR Sportsbike RenderBajaj Pulsar 900cc Expected SpecsPulsar 900RR utilises a similar perimeter frame in line with existing Pulsars, however, some structural modification would have to be made. The frame is suspended on upside-down forks at front and a mono-shock at rear. Within this frame, an 890cc parallel-twin, DOHC liquid-cooled engine has been employed which has been derived from KTM. In its standard tune, this power dishes out around 114 bhp. However, for Pulsar 900RR, it could be slightly detuned to 108 bhp at 9000 rpm and 90 Nm of peak torque at 8100 rpm. Other specifications attached to this illustration include a seat height of 825mm, ground clearance of 180 mm and a wheelbase of 1440 mm. It has a fuel tank capacity of 14.4 litres.2026 Bajaj Pulsar 900RR Engine SpecsIn the final sketch, the designer has created multiple renditions of the fully faired superbike with various colour schemes on offer. Some key visual highlights from the final sketch include an underbelly exhaust, funky body graphics and silver-coloured alloy wheels shod with slick rubber. The illustrator expects such an iteration of Pulsar to be introduced by Bajaj during the 25th Anniversary of the Pulsar range, i.e., in 2026.Source More
