The company also suffered a MoM de-growth from 2,62,120 units sold in Nov 2022. Top selling two wheelers include the Pulsar, Platina, CT, Dominar and Avenger while it was the Chetak electric scooter that saw the highest YoY growth.There were a total of 1,22,144 units sold in Dec 2022, down 1.46 percent when compared to 1,23,954 units sold in Dec 2022. Bajaj Auto had the Pulsar range at top of sales charts with 74,768 units sold in Dec 2022, up 15.09 percent from 64,966 units sold in Dec 2021.Bajaj Sales Breakup Dec 2022Pulsar range commands a 61.21 percent share on this list with Pulsar 125cc being most in demand with 40,719 units sold last month, 45.95 percent over 27,900 units sold in Dec 2021. There were also 23,909 units of Pulsar 150cc sold in Dec 2022, relating to a 12 percent YoY de-growth from 27,169 units sold in Dec 2021. Pulsar N160 and Pulsar 200 range sales stood at 9,895 units while that of Pulsar 250 stood at 245 units.At No. 2 was Bajaj Platina with a YoY de-growth of 19.29 percent to 36,157 units from 44,800 units sold in Dec 2021. CT range sales dipped 25.49 percent to 6,175 units from 8,288 units sold in Dec 2021.Bajaj Domestic Sales Breakup Dec 2022Bajaj Chetak, the company’s electric scooter performed well. Sales increased 346.29 percent YoY to 3,249 units in Dec 2022 up from 728 units sold in Dec 2021. Bajaj sold almost 30,000 units of this electric scooter in domestic markets in 2022. Bajaj Avenger and Dominar both suffered YoY de-growth. Avenger sales dipped 55.74 percent to 1,054 units from 2,377 units sold in Dec 2021. Dominar sales were down 73.42 percent to 743 units in the past month from 2,795 units sold in Dec 2021.Bajaj Exports Breakup Dec 2022Bajaj 2w exports in Dec 2022 fell 37.15 percent YoY to 1,13,640 units from 1,80,824 units shipped in Dec 2021. It was only the CT and Dominar that noted a YoY growth in sales while every other model on this list saw lower demand globally. Bajaj Boxer has been highly favoured in export markets. However, shipments dipped 34.02 percent YoY to 77,200 units in Dec 2022, down from 98,328 units sold in Dec 2021.Bajaj CT exports increased by 5.10 percent YoY to 14,714 units in Dec 2022 from 14,000 units shipped in Dec 2021. Currently commanding a 12.95 percent share, CT 125cc exports were at 9,902 units up 4.19 percent from 9,504 units shipped in Dec 2021 while CT 110cc had 4,092 units sold globally, a 27.88 percent YoY growth from 3,200 units sold in Dec 2021.       Bajaj Auto has posted a YoY decline of 23 percent in 2W sales while total sales also dipped 22 percent YoYBajaj Dominar 200 in BrazilBajaj Auto Limited has seen its sales dip significantly in December 2022. Total sales were down 22 percent YoY to 2,81,486 units from 3,62,470 units sold in Dec 2021 relating to a massive 80,984 unit volume de-growth. Sales fell both in terms of two wheeler domestic sales and exports while in CV sales positive growth was seen in domestic markets while exports suffered from lower sales.Commercial vehicle sales performed somewhat better in domestic markets, noting a 25 percent YoY growth to 23,030 units from 18,386 units sold in Dec 2021. Exports on the other hand dipped 55 percent YoY to 11,432 units from 25,315 units shipped in the same month of the previous year.Bajaj Auto Sales Dec 2022Two wheeler sales of Bajaj Auto dipped 2 percent YoY to 1,25,525 units in Dec 2022, down from 1,27,593 units sold in Dec 2021. Exports suffered a more substantial de-growth, down 36 percent YoY to 1,21,499 units from 1,91,176 units sold in Dec 2021. This took total sales in the 2W segment down 23 percent to 2,47,024 units in Dec 2022, from 3,18,769 units sold in Dec 2021 relating to a 71,745 unit volume de-growth.Total sales (2W+CV) stood at 1,48,555 units in domestic markets, up 2 percent YoY over 1,45,979 units sold in Dec 2021 while exports dipped 39 percent to 1,32,931 units in the past month from 2,16,491 units sold in Dec 2021. Total sales stood at 30,67,934 units in the 2022 period, down 8 percent from 33,31,782 units sold in the same period of 2021. Again it was domestic sales of 2W (13,90,698 units) that grew 7 percent during this period while exports fell 21 percent to 13,26,541 units.Bajaj Auto Sales YTD Dec 2022CV sales in domestic markets improved by 81 percent on YTD basis while exports dipped 38 percent to 1,49,994 units. Total (2W+CV) sales in domestic markets increased 13 percent to 15,91,399 units while exports fell 23 percent to 14,76,535 units.Bajaj Two Wheeler Sales CY 2022Taking into account sales during the Jan to Dec 2022 period, Bajaj Auto has seen a 4.17 percent de-growth to 16,84,884 units in the 2022 period from 17,58,192 units sold in CY 2021. 8 out of 12 months of CY 2022 saw sales in the red. The company ended Q1 2022 down 30.45 percent to 3,26,438 units from 4,69,343 units sold in Q1 of CY 2021.Bajaj Two Wheeler Sales 2022 – DomesticQ2  2022 also ended with a de-growth of 7.15 percent to 3,10,006 units from 3,33,863 units sold in Q2 2021 while Q3 2022 saw more positive sales, up 25.20 percent. Sales in this period of 2022 stood at 6,05,615 units from 4,83,702 units sold in Q3 2021. However, Bajaj Auto slipped again in Q4 2022 by 6.04 percent but ended H2 2022 with a 9.79 percent growth to 10,48,440 units from 9,54,986 units sold in H2 2021. Domestic sales fell 15.29 percent to 1,19,367 units in the past month from 1,40,909 units sold in Nov 2021. This was a 21,542 unit volume de-growth. Exports on the other hand, fell 30.50 percent YoY from 1,87,561 units shipped in Nov 2021 to 1,30,364 units in the past month leading to a 57,197 unit volume de-growth.It was the Bajaj Pulsar that topped sales charts in Indian markets last month. Total sales stood at 72,735 units, up 17.48 percent from 61,913 units sold in Nov 2021. The Pulsar commands a 60.93 percent share in the company lineup. It was the Pulsar 125cc that was most in demand at 45,173 units, up 6.67 percent from 42,311 units sold in Nov 2021.Bajaj Sales Breakup Nov 2022 – DomesticThere were also 13,535 units of the Pulsar 150cc sold with a 3.45 percent YoY growth along with 13,557 units of Pulsar 200cc relating to a 130.80 percent YoY growth and 470 units of Pulsar 250cc which was a 27.02 percent de-growth over 644 units sold in Nov 2021. Bajaj Platina sales dipped 44.43 percent YoY to 33,702 units from 60,646 units sold in Nov 2021 commanding a 28.23 percent share.There were also 7,471 units of the Bajaj CT sold last month, a 43.38 percent YoY de-growth from 13,196 units sold in Nov 2021. Of the CT range, Bajaj CT 125X, launched in India in August 2022 at Rs 71,354, saw sales of 3,962 units while there were also 3,509 units of CT 110cc sold last month relating to a 73.41 percent YoY de-growth from 13,196 units sold in Nov 2021.Bajaj Domestic Sales Breakup Nov 2022Bajaj has been noting outstanding demand for the Chetak e-scooter. Sales in the past month stood at 3,346 units, a 554.79 percent YoY growth from 511 units sold in Nov 2021. The Chetak rivals the Hero Vida V1 electric scooters, Ola S1 and S1 Pro as well as the Ather 450X. The Bajaj Avenger and Dominar both saw reduced sales in Nov 2022 down to 1,300 units and 813 units leading to a 51.18 percent and 58.94 percent YoY de-growth respectively.Bajaj Boxer tops Export List in Nov 2022Bajaj Boxer was the most exported model in November 2022 despite a 35.67 percent YoY de-growth. Exports stood at 80,500 units in the past month, down from 1,25,128 units shipped in Nov 2021. The Boxer commands a 61.75 percent share. Of the Boxer range, it was the 110cc model that commanded most attention with 66,556 units shipped last month while there were 4,488 units of Boxer 125cc and 9,456 units of Boxer 150cc also exported out of which it was only the Boxer 125cc that saw a 29.86 percent YoY growth.Pulsar exports grew marginally by 1.83 percent YoY to 24,286 units from 23,850 units exported in Nov 2021. Global sales were led by the Pulsar 200cc model with 11,588 units shipped in the past month along with 5,856 units of Pulsar 150cc, 3,448 units of Pulsar 250cc and 3,394 units of Pulsar 125ccBajaj Exports Breakup Nov 2022Exports of Bajaj CT dipped 7.22 percent to 18,764 units from 20,224 units sold in Nov 2022. This included 10,964 units of CT 125cc and 864 units of CT 150cc. While4 Dominar exports increased 10.92 percent to 3,148 units (2,056 units of Dominar 500cc and 1,092 units of Dominar 250cc).Discover exports also fell 73.77 percent YoY to 2,740 units from 10,448 units sold in Nov 2021 out of which there were 1,440 units of Discover 110cc and 1,300 units of Discover 125cc shipped. The maximum de-growth was seen in the case of Bajaj Platina, down 87.16 percent YoY to 576 units from 4,485 units shipped in Nov 2021. Even the second highest 2W exporter, TVS, is shipping almost half the volume of Bajaj.Latin America is one of the markets where Bajaj is currently active in a big way. There are new developments when it comes to Bajaj’s portfolio in Brazil. Bajaj has launched two new motorcycles that are very familiar to Indians, but with different names. They are Dominar 200 and Dominar 160.Bajaj Dominar 200 And Dominar 160These are not new motorcycles. Instead, these are essentially the same as Pulsar NS 200 and NS 160 that are on sale in India. These get almost similar componentry, except for the addition of USD front forks. In India, the Pulsar NS 160 and NS 200 do not get USD forks.India-spec Dominar comes in two different engine specifications and is named accordingly, Dominar 400 and Dominar 250. Bajaj markets the Dominar range as power cruisers, a term which is inspired by Ducati Diavel. Both Dominar gets LED lighting, beefy and muscular proportions and powerful engines.Bajaj Dominar 160 and Dominar 200In Brazil, Bajaj has launched India-spec NS160 and NS200 as Dominar 160 and Dominar 200.
