It will be the first of its kind, mass produced bike in the world to have both CNG and petrol fuel options. Depending on their needs, users will be able to seamlessly switch between the two fuel options.Bajaj CNG Motorcycle Launch TeaserEarlier, leaked blueprints had revealed that the CNG tank is integrated into the motorcycle’s structure. This setup provides added protection to the CNG tank. It will ensure that the bike can easily handle a wide variety of no-road environments, without the risk of any leaks. With the CNG tank fully enclosed, the risk of unfavourable outcomes will be reduced in case of a crash.The petrol tank will be mounted in its standard position. Petrol fuel tank capacity will be the same as that of a similar sized petrol-only bike. How much fuel the CNG tank will carry is yet to be revealed. Around 2-3 kgs seems like a fair guess. Anything bigger will be difficult to fit inside the motorcycle’s structure. Moreover, a bigger CNG tank will increase the bike’s weight and create higher risks in case of a leakage.Bajaj CNG Motorcycle Launch TeaserBajaj CNG bike – Expected savingsIt is expected that Bajaj CNG bike will help reduce running costs. Even if there is no significant difference in mileage, CNG is cheaper than petrol across India. For example, CNG prices in Delhi are close to Rs 75 per kg. In comparison, petrol prices are close to Rs 95 in Delhi. That’s savings of Rs 20 per litre, assuming no major difference in mileage of the two fuels.When calculated on a monthly or yearly basis, the overall savings will be a significant amount. The savings will be even higher for folks who ride extensively every day. CNG is also environmentally friendly, as emissions are less in comparison to petrol.Bajaj CNG bike engineTo ensure it has the same performance as entry-level 100cc-110cc commuter motorcycles, the Bajaj CNG bike will need a higher capacity engine. However, these are called Dominar 200 and Dominar 160 over there.The main update has to be the inclusion of dual-channel ABS with both Dominar 160 and Dominar 200. Also, smaller Dominar now gets the same set of fat tyres from Dominar 200. Which are 100/80-17 at the front and 130/70-17 at the rear.     Bajaj Sales at 3.55 Lakh in May 2024 – 2W Domestic Sales Decline

On a year on year (YoY) basis, the company has recorded a total of 3,55,323 units, a flat growth over 3,55,148 units sold in May 2023. It was however, a significant decline on a MoM basis when compared to 3,88,256 units sold in April 2024 when sales were positive across all segment.Bajaj Auto 2W Sales May 2024Taking into account 2W sales in May 2024, sales across domestic markets declined by 3% to 1,88,340 units, down from 1,94,811 units sold in May 2023. Exports on the other hand, improved by 4% to 1,17,142 units shipped in the past month, up from 1,12,885 units exported in May 2023. This took total sales in the 2W segment down by 1% to 3,05,482 units when compared to 3,07,696 units sold in May 2023.Bajaj Sales May 2024Bajaj continues to have its Pulsar, Platina, CT, Dominar and Chetak e-scooter at the top of sales charts. An upcoming two wheeler is set to be called the Bajaj Fighter, its first CNG bike which will launch in India on June 18, 2024. Two wheeler domestic sales at 4,05,290 units, saw an 8% growth in domestic markets while exports surged 10% YTD to 2,41,981 units from 2,19,042 units sold in April-May 2023. Total 2W sales thus grew by 9% YTD to 6,47,271 units.CV sales also saw extensive YTD growth to 68,880 units in domestic markets while 27,428 units were exported to 96,306 units sold during the April-May 2024 period from 90,745 units sold in the same period of the previous year. Similarly, other components could be borrowed to reduce development and production cost. The bike has telescopic forks at front and a monoshock unit at rear.Bajaj new premium 125cc bike could borrow the 124.45 cc, SOHC 4-valve, air-cooled engine from Pulsar NS125. It generates 11.99 PS and 11 Nm.
