    Audi e-tron GT India Launche-tron GT adds to the growing line-up of electric cars from Audi India – Its RS variant has also been launched
    After launching the e-tron SUV earlier this year in India, Audi has today announced the launch of e-tron GT and e-tron GT RS. It is priced at Rs 1.8 crore and Rs 2.05 crore respectively. It sits above the e-tron SUV range, which is available from Rs 1 cr to Rs 1.17 cr. All prices are ex-sh.
    Design
    e-Tron GT is a Coupe-style electric four-door saloon that is meant for grand touring in comfort. Although it is not as sporty, quick or luxurious as its cousin from Porsche it is certainly distinctive and equally impressive in its design. Following a Coupe style, e-Tron GT gets a heavily sloping roofline with a broad shoulder line and low bonnet.
    Upfront, the sedan features a signature Audi hexagonal-shaped grille which is flanked by familiar matrix LED headlights in combination with Audi laser light. The front bumper features air curtains which improve aerodynamic efficiency.
    LED taillights at rear get an animated function which is one of the distinct highlights of the car. Along the side profile, it gets aggressive creases, a chrome finish on door sills and diamond-cut dual-tone alloy wheels which aptly makes it look luxurious.

    On the inside, you get Air Quality package, Nappa leather upholstery, 18 Way adjustable Sports seats Pro with Massager and Seat Ventilation in the front, ambient Lighting package, 3-zone air-conditioning and Comfort key. Also on offer is Audi Virtual Cockpit, MMI Navigation Plus with touch, B&O Premium Sound System with 3D sound, Audi Smartphone Interface and Audi Phone Box with wireless Charging.

    The main highlight of e-Tron GT is what propels the sedan forward. e-Tron GT is powered by a dual-motor setup, which derives energy from an 83.7 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. In the standard variant, the powertrain churns out a cumulative output of 530 hp and 630 Nm of peak torque. In the top-spec RS trim, it puts out a massive 646 bhp and 830 Nm of torque.
    While the standard trim offers a maximum range of 500 kms on a single charge, the more powerful RS variant peaks out at 481 kms – as per the WLTP cycle. Respective top speeds of e-Tron GT and e-Tron GT RS are pegged at 245 kmph and 250 kmph while claimed 0-100kmph acceleration times for both variants are reported to be 4.1 seconds and 3.3 seconds respectively.

    Both derivatives feature Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system since each axle is powered by a dedicated electric motor. However, since there is no mechanical link between the axles, the sedans are also equipped with an electronic control system to coordinate the drive between the axles and wheels.       Audi has launched the company’s first ever fully electric vehicle- E-Tron SUV in India. A total of 3 electric SUVs are on offer under the e-tron range. These are e-tron 50, e-tron 55 and e-tron Sportback 55. Price starts from Rs 1 crore and goes all the way to Rs 1.17 crore. All prices are ex-sh.
      These SUVs are currently being manufactured at the company’s facility in Brussels, Belgium and will be made available in India as a CBU product. Below are the detailed prices of the new Audi electric SUVs for India.

      Exterior Styling
      In the front is a blanked out single-frame octagonal-shaped front grille in gray colour with vertical slats. It receives a pair of LED headlamps with Audi’s Matrix LED technology which are flanked by integrated DRLs on both ends. The SUV rolls on 20-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels and gets a sloping roofline.
      The exterior wing mirrors are probably the highlight of the car’s exterior which displays the rear image on an OLED screen placed between the dashboard and door panel using a small camera. Its rear end flaunts a pair of LED taillights connected by an illuminated stripe across the boot lid. Other notable highlights include a roof-mounted spoiler, a chrome-embellished diffuser plate and a shark-fin antenna.

      Interiors of the cabin are offered in multiple shades such as black, grey, beige and brown and expected to boast a plethora of technologies. The central console will feature two big digital display screens which house an infotainment system as well as wireless connectivity and a voice control system.

      Other notable features on offer include a 4-spoke steering wheel, a digital instrument cluster, a Bang & Olufsen audio system, ambient lighting, a 360-degree surround-view camera, four-zone climate control and a panoramic sunroof to mention a few.
      Performance & Specifications
      Being a fully electric powertrain, there is no shortage of performance in E-Tron. The base variant power output is 313 hp and 540 Nm. Mid and top variant delivers 408 hp and 664 Nm. Driving range is from 264 kms to 484 kms, depending on the variant.

      Using a 15 kW DC fast charger, the battery could be replenished up to 80 percent in just 30 minutes. While regular home chargers of could take 8.5 hours and 4.5 hours respectively.

      Audi E-Tron Electric SUV Booking Opens In India At Rs 5 Lakh

      Upon its arrival in India, Audi e-Tron will compete against other luxury electric SUVs such as Mercedes Benz EQC and Jaguar I-Pace
      After a long and arduous wait, Audi will launch its fully electric SUV e-Tron in India on July 22, 2021. Bookings for the upcoming EV have officially opened from today, at a token amount of Rs 5 lakh.
      Two differed body styles
      e-Tron is Audi’s first brand of fully electric cars and the company will be launching three variants of the car in the country which will incorporate two body styles. It will be available in 50, 55 and 55 Sportback variants with the first two being SUVs and the last one being a Coupe-style SUV.
      Audi was expected to launch e-Tron much earlier but plans got deferred mainly due to outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in India. Like most modern EVs, Aufi will utilise a skateboard architecture. All variants will be equipped with two permanent magnet synchronous electric motors, one at each axle thus offering Audi’s famed quattro all-wheel-drive system. e-Tron will be brought to India as a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU).
      Exterior Design
      Speaking of its design, e-Tron flaunts a massive octagonal single-frame grille with vertical struts upfront. It is flanked by Matrix LED headlights on both sides featuring four horizontal struts that form e-tron-specific signatures in LED DRLs.

      At rear, the SUV sports wraparound LED taillights connected to each other across the tailgate by a strip of LED light. In addition, the slats in the large diffuser is an attraction since it does not get an exhaust tailpipe.
      Other exterior highlights include glossy black claddings, diamond-cut alloy wheels and e-Tron logo on brake calipers and charging flap which truly stand out in its orange colour. The only difference between SUV and Sportback style is that the latter gets a coupe-like sloping roofline as opposed to a conventional roofline in the former.
      Specs
      In terms of specs, e-Tron 50 forms the entry-level variant with slightly lower specs whereas e-Tron 55 and e-Tron 55 Sportback share the same specifications slightly higher than the base variant. e-Tron 50 features a 71kWh battery pack which is paired to a dual-motor setup and cranks out 308 bhp and 540 Nm of peak torque. e-Tron 55 gets a larger 95kWh battery pack powering the same dual motor setup.
      This powertrain pumps out 355 bhp and 561 Nm of peak torque. These figures could be boosted up to 403 bhp and 664 Nm for a short instance. The base variant is offered with a claimed single-charge range of 341 km and a top-speed capped at 190kmph. The top-spec variant is offered with a range of up to 441km on a single charge and a top speed limited to 200kmph. Prices of e-Tron SUV is likely to start around Rs 1.0 crore and go up to Rs 1.30 crore for the top-spec 55 Sportback. More
