      Where pricing is concerned, Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition costs Rs 27.79 lakh (Ex-sh). Batman Edition is based on the top-spec Pack Three trim level. Mahindra is offering BE 6 Batman Edition only with the larger 79 kWh battery pack. Bookings start 23rd August 2025 and deliveries are slated for 20th September 2025. Only 300 units will ever be made.
      On the outside, we get a custom Satin Black colourway with custom Batman decals. Then, we get elements like R20 alloy wheels with Batman motif, Alchemy Gold brake callipers and suspension components, LED projector headlights with cornering function, full-width and full-height LED DRL signature, flush pop-out style door handles, rear full-width connected LED tail light signature, funky spoiler and everything standard model comes equipped with.

      We can see Batman motif on front fenders where Mahindra would usually apply trim level decals and then the Batman motif is also on the panoramic glass roof ambient lighting, which looks absolutely marvelous. Even the welcome lights have Batman motif.

      Get into the Batmobile!
      On the inside, there is an all-Black theme going on, which is a lot more stealthier than it already was. All the headline features seen on the standard BE 6 make their way over here as well. We have the same dual 12.3-inch screens on the dashboard, one for infotainment and the other for instrumentation. On the centre console, there is a plaque saying the production number of Batman Edition which looks truly unique.
      Jet Fighter-like toggles on the roof, thruster-like gear selector, a floating center console that physically separates driver and passenger, illuminated key slot, dual D-Cut steering wheel, a large HUD, powered seats, ventilated front seats with memory function for driver, 1400W 16-speaker Harman/Kardon audio system, expansive ambient lighting, BYOD, dual-zone climate control, rear AC vents and other features are carried over.

      Faster Charging Than Before

      MG Windsor Sets New Sales Record in July 2025 – Best Selling EV for 10 Consecutive Months

      MG WindsorJSW MG Motor India’s MG Windsor has achieved another major milestone, recording its highest-ever monthly sales in July 2025 with 4,308 units sold. This achievement extends its streak as India’s best-selling EV for the 10th month in a row.
      Strong Market Performance and Growth
      Since its launch, the MG Windsor has sold over 35,000 units, contributing significantly to MG Motor India’s expanding presence in the EV segment. In Q2 CY2025, the company’s EV market share rose by 4 percentage points to 32%, up from 28% in Q1 CY2025. During the same period, average monthly sales of the Windsor grew by 17%, while overall EV wholesales increased by 28%.

      Since its launch in October 2024, the MG Windsor has consistently maintained strong sales momentum in India’s four-wheeler EV segment. Over the 10-month period from October 2024 to July 2025, the Windsor has sold a total of 35,100 units, averaging 3,510 units per month.
      Monthly sales have steadily grown, with notable peaks in December 2024 (3,785 units), May 2025 (3,939 units), and a new record in July 2025 (4,308 units). Even in months where the market typically slows, such as February 2025, the Windsor maintained healthy numbers, reflecting its sustained demand and market leadership.

      Expanding its EV portfolio in Nepal, Mahindra has introduced the BE 6 and XEV 9e electric SUVs. The launch took place during the ongoing NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025. Bookings for BE 6 and XEV 9e are now open in the Himalayan Kingdom. Let’s check out the details.
      Mahindra BE 6, XEV 9e – Variants on offer
      BE 6 in Nepal is available in three variants – Pack One Above, Pack Two and Pack Three Select. On the other hand, the XEV 9e is available in Pack Two, Pack Three Select and Pack Three variants. Prices start at NPR 57 lakh for BE 6 and NPR 69 lakh for XEV 9e. That’s Rs 35.66 lakh and Rs 43.17 lakh, respectively.
      Mahindra XEV 9e Launched in Nepal
      In India, Mahindra BE 6 is available at a starting price of Rs 18.90 lakh (no charger option). Cost with the 7.2 kW and the 11.2 kW charger is Rs 19.40 lakh and Rs 19.65 lakh, respectively. Similarly, the XEV 9e is available at a starting price of Rs 21.90 lakh (no charger). Base variant price with the 7.2 kW charger is Rs 22.40 lakh. Customers choosing the 11.2 kW charger have to pay Rs 22.65 lakh.
      Prices are on the higher side in Nepal, as the country imposes significant import duty. For ICE cars, Nepal has import duty in the range of 60% to 240%, depending on the engine capacity. Import duty is relatively less for EVs and it is based on the power output.
      Lower output electric motors for Nepal
      In a move that is likely aimed at reducing import duties, Mahindra is offering the BE 6 and XEV 9e in Nepal with lower output motors. Most variants are powered by a 99-kW electric motor. The XEV 9e Pack Three variant offers the best performance, equipped with a 199-kW electric motor. In comparison, Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e in India have power output of 170 kW or 210 kW, based on the variant.
      Mahindra sends its vehicles to Nepal as CBUs, since there is no local manufacturing or assembly unit. Sales and service are done by Agni Mahindra, the official distributor of Mahindra vehicles in Nepal. It is the sole distributor of Mahindra vehicles in Nepal and has been active for the last three decades.
      Since the battery pack capacity is the same as in India, the range is not impacted. BE 6 in Nepal is being offered with the 59-kWh battery pack, offering a range of 557 km (MIDC P1+P2). The XEV 9e in Nepal is being offered with the 79-kWh battery pack, offering a range of 656 km. In India, both SUVs have the 59-kWh and the 79-kWh battery pack options, based on the variant. Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e utilize LFP battery packs, which are known for their safety, reliability and long life.
      Equipment list
      Both SUVs offer a comprehensive range of premium features. Some of the key highlights include a race-inspired digital cockpit (BE 6), cinematic triple-screen display (XEV 9e), Sonic Studio by Harman Kardon and VisionX augmented-reality heads-up display. Users can access preset themes of Calm, Cozy and Club via the LiveYourMood function. Safety kit is pretty robust with ADAS Level 2 for BE 6 and ADAS Level 2+ for XEV 9e.       After inaugurating their first ever manufacturing facility outside of Vietnam and third operational facility globally in Toothukudi, Tamil Nadu, Vinfast seems to be gearing up for a portfolio expansion. The company has just trademarked design of a new 7-seater electric SUV in India which will appeal to both fleet buyers and large families in India.

      We say fleet buyers because the vehicle we are looking at is called Vinfast Limo Green, which the company has listed as a “Service Vehicle” and not a “Car” on their website. It is aimed at fleet buyers looking to operate electric 7-seaters. In Vietnam, Vinfast calls it an MPV and not an SUV, which might be changed in India, considering market trends.
      Where design is concerned, Vinfast Limo Green is quite good looking. It has a minimal front fascia with what looks like a connecting LED light bar along with sleek vertically arranged headlights. In fact, it looks far sleeker than VF 6 and VF 7, launching soon in India. Side profile has a strong SUV-ish silhouette accentuated by tough-looking body cladding.

      Specs & Features
      Dimensionally, Vinfast Limo Green measures 4,740 mm in length, 1,872 mm in width, 1,728 mm in height and has a 2,840 mm long wheelbase. It has large 18-inch alloy wheels and a ground clearance of 170 mm. There are disc brakes at all four corners too. Battery is a 60.13 kWh unit which promises a range of 450 km on a single charge (NEDC).

      Vinfast Limo Green is a FWD vehicle with a single electric motor rated at 201 bhp of peak power and 280 Nm of peak torque. It has three driving modes – Eco, Comfort and Sport. Fast DC charging is supported and Limo Green will go from 10%-70% SOC in 30 minutes.

      Will it launch in India?
      Vinfast Limo Green deliveries commenced on 5th August 2025 as the company handed over the first batch to customers. Deliveries started four months after bookings began and 7 months after it debuted. There’s a good probability of Vinfast Limo Green launching in India considering market trends favouring 7-seater offerings in EV segment.

      Previously, Chery was in talks with Tata Motors for a potential joint venture to sell cars in India, which did not work out post geopolitical tensions between India and China. Now, Chery has trademarked two new vehicles in India, sparking speculations of a potential re-entry with a new partner, which is JSW Group.

      Recently, Chery Automobiles has patented two new vehicles in India, which could be the ones JSW Group aims to launch in India. Neither companies have yet to confirm any concrete developments in this regard. However, these patented vehicles look promising as they are what a new OEM would initially launch to establish their brand name.

      First vehicle patented by Chery looks like a full-size luxury minivan, a format which has emerged as the next big thing in luxury among India’s elites. Where design is concerned, it looks like the production version of Exlantix E08 concept which is expected to launch under the Luxeed brand, which is owned by Chery in cooperation of Huawei under Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA).
      The second vehicle looks like a mid-size electric crossover SUV. It features a sporty design along with aerodynamic profiling, which is similar to what a lot of Chinese brands are doing these days. There is a good probability that these new patents might just be IP protection exercise by Chery in Indian market.
      Launch by JSW Group?
      Last month, a report by Bloomberg mentioned business tycoon Sajjan Jindal’s JSW Group and Chery Automobiles are working on an NEV (New Energy Vehicle) brand and launch electric vehicles in India. As per the report, JSW Group would pay a one-time technology transfer fee and royalties to Cherry for supply of parts and models, instead of a more traditional partnership.

      This move marks a significant step in JSW Group’s ambitions in the automotive world and will likely establish itself as an important player in the premium and luxury NEV segment. Chery has a slew of Hybrid and Electric vehicles under its brand and multiple other subsidiaries like iCar, Exeed, Jetour and Omoda / Jaeco among others.
      The launch timeline for JSW and Chery NEVs to hit the Indian market is speculated to be around 2027. JSW Group will reportedly establish an assembly facility in India, while Chery will provide vehicles and associated parts as CKD units. More

      Citroen eC3– Discount Up to Rs 1.25 lakh
      The 2025 Citroen eC3, an all-electric hatchback, based on Citroen C3, is priced from Rs 12.90 – 13.53 lakh (ex-showroom). The company is extending a massive discount of upto Rs 1.25 lakh on this electric model.
      MG ZS EV – Discount Up to Rs 2.5 lakh
      The ZS EV, MG’s first fully electric vehicle, priced between Rs. 15.50 – 18.00 lakh depending on variant is at a special offer through August 2025. Buyers can save upto Rs 2.5 lakh that includes cash discount, exchange offers and corporate schemes.
      The company is also extending a discount of upto Rs 50,000- 60,000 on the Comet EV. More recently, MG Motor introduced the Windsor EV. However, there is no discount being offered on this model as sales volumes went past the 30,000 unit sales mark in 9 months of launch in India making it the best-selling electric PV.
      Mahindra XUV400 – Discount Up to Rs 3 lakh
      Mahindra XUV400, a rather lower selling product in the company portfolio, is on offer at a hefty discount of Rs 2.5-3.0 lakh through August 2025. This discount is on MY 2024 stocks. The 2025 Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV is priced from Rs 15.49 – 17.69 Lakh (ex-showroom) and is being offered in two variants of EC Pro and EL Pro.
      Kia EV6 Facelift – Discount Up to Rs 10 lakh
      The Kia EV facelift was launched in India in March 2025 at Rs 65.90 lakh. Now dealers are offering a discount of over Rs 10 lakh on this facelifted version that is exclusively offered on the GT-Line AWD variant. These discounts are on offer on the updated 2025 Kia EV6, not just older stock. The benefits include cash discount, exchange bonus, and corporate discount.
