Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Rally Edition TeasedUpcoming Himalayan 450 Rally will be getting a range of off-road focused equipment and possibly longer-travel suspension
Royal Enfield has busy days ahead with the EICMA 2025 starting soon and the Motoverse event to be held from 21st to 23rd November. At EICMA, one of the new products to be unveiled will be an offroad version of the Himalayan. This has been confirmed from the recent teasers of a new motorcycle off-roading at Mana, near Tibet border, posted by the brand. Let’s check out the details.
Himalayan 450 Rally – What to expect?
Teasers reveal only a few details about the upcoming offroad focused Himalayan 450 model. While there is no mention of any name, the bike could go on sale as Himalayan 450 Raid. Even in its current form, Himalayan 450 has good offroading capabilities. But with the new offroad focused model, users should be able to take on even more challenging terrains.

One of the key updates could be longer travel suspension. In its current form, Himalayan 450 has 43 mm USD front forks and linkage type monoshock rear suspension. At both front and rear, suspension travel is 200 mm. It is also possible that the offroad focused Himalayan 450 could get adjustable suspension for compression and rebound along with a slight power boost from an aftermarket exhaust.
The engine will be the same, a 452 cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder unit. It generates 40.02 PS and 40 Nm of torque and is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Key features include electronic fuel injection, ride-by-wire system and 42 mm throttle body. The bike is equipped with a slip & assist clutch. In other upgrades, offroad focused Himalayan 450 could get tubeless wire-spoke wheels, wrapped in knobby tyres. These will play a key role in ensuring peace of mind when exploring remote locations.

    Offroading accessories as standard
The new Himalayan 450 Raid or Rally Edition is also expected to get a range of offroading accessories. Several of these are already offered with the existing Himalayan 450. Users will need more fuel when exploring remote locations. Teasers reveal a flared tail section, which indicates the presence of twin auxiliary fuel tanks.
These are currently available with the rally kit. The stock 17-litre primary fuel tank is likely to be the same as the current model. Various other accessories could be offered as standard with the offroad focused Himalayan 450 model. The offroad kit could include accessories like rally gear lever, a larger windscreen, rally handguards with aluminium spine, aluminium sump guard, rally handlebar pad, single-piece seat, radiator guard, pannier rails and engine guard.
    New Himalayan Accessories – Rally
Features that could be carried forward from the existing Himalayan 450 include the dual-channel ABS with switchable function. Wheel size could be the same – 21-inch at the front and 17-inch at the rear. Braking setup could also be retained, a 320 mm ventilated disc with double piston callipers at the front and a 270 mm ventilated disc with single piston calliper at the rear. The bike will have an all-LED setup and could be equipped with a digital display with turn-by-turn navigation. More

    2026 Kawasaki Z900RS Debuts
After launching the new MY26 versions of Z900 and Z650, Kawasaki has just debuted the MY26 version of Z900RS. This neo retro roadster based on Z900, is a direct homage to Z1B from the 70s. With new 2026 Kawasaki Z900RS, there are a whole lot more features and equipment along with increased performance. Let’s take a closer look.
    2026 Kawasaki Z900RS Debuts
2026 Kawasaki Z900RS and SE Variant
Z900 has been one of the best-selling big bikes on sale in India as it strikes the right balance between performance, price and the show-value with its howling 4-cylinder engine. Its neo retro sibling, the Z900RS, has not been as popular, in comparison. That could be because of limited equipment, which Kawasaki is addressing with 2026 Z900RS.
    2026 Z900RS Debuts
While an India launch date is yet to be announced, 2026 Kawasaki Z900RS have been unveiled globally in two variants. Standard Z900RS and then a higher-spec Z900RS SE. Standard 2026 Z900RS gets a sole Candy Tone Red shade and 2026 Z900RS SE gets Metallic Spark Black shade with Orange accents on fuel tank and Gold shade on wheels and suspension components.
2026 Kawasaki Z900RS Family – Standard, Black Ball Edition, SE
Apart from these two, Kawasaki has unveiled 2026 Z900RS Black Ball Edition finished in Ebony shade with a stealthy all-Black theme. The main update to 2026 Z900RS family is the inclusion of an electronic throttle (ride-by-wire system) which has unlocked sought-after features like Cruise Control.
    2026 Z900RS Debuts
Also notable are additions like a bi-directional quick-shifter and an IMU-based rider-assist features like Kawasaki Cornering Management Function. Retro analogue instrument cluster now support smartphone connectivity and the restyled megaphone-style exhaust canister and exhaust header pipes unlock a new signature sound as well.
    2026 Z900RS Debuts
    More performance
The Z900-sourced 948cc in-line four-cylinder liquid-cooled engine is retained with 2026 Kawasaki Z900RS family, but is now tuned for more performance. Peak power is now 116 bhp and peak torque is now 98 Nm, both achieved at higher revs than before. While this is 5bhp more than 2025 model, it is less than what 2026 Z900 packs.
    2026 Z900RS Debuts
Premium components continue as well. It gets adjustable 41 mm USD telescopic front forks, a rear-mono-shock, twin 300 mm front disc brakes, 17-inch wheels wrapped with fat tyres and more. The higher-spec Z900RS SE variant gets even more premium components in the form of Brembo brakes and rear Ohlins suspension along with a Type-C USB fast charger. India launch is likely, but a launch timeline is yet to be revealed. More

Suzuki Access CNG Variant Unveiled – Can Run On CBG Too

    Suzuki Access CNG Variant Unveiled
Using green fuels such as CNG, CBG and hydrogen is part of Suzuki’s multi-pathway strategy to achieve its carbon neutrality goals
At the Japan Mobility Show 2025, Suzuki has showcased the CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) version of the Access scooter that can also run on CBG (Compressed Biomethane Gas). This could be introduced in India in the near future, as OEMs look for alternative fuel options other than battery-powered vehicles. While TVS is in the race with Jupiter CNG, Suzuki Access could be the first CNG/CBG powered scooter to be launched in India. Let’s get more details about these developments.
Suzuki Access CNG/CBG variant – Key features
In terms of its design, the Suzuki Access CNG/CBG variant is largely the same as petrol-powered Access sold in India. It does get a distinctive livery highlighting its use of green fuels. CNG and CBG have similar calorific values and can be used interchangeably in most engines.
Suzuki Access CNG/CBG variant has the gas tank mounted under the seat. This is a compact unit, designed to carry 6 litres of CNG/CBG. Filling nozzle is located just next to this gas tank. Suzuki Access CNG/CBG variant is also equipped with a 2-litre petrol fuel tank. This can be filled via an external fuel filler. When both tanks are full, Suzuki Access CNG/CBG variant will have a range of around 170 km.
    Suzuki Access CNG Variant Unveiled
There will be some reduction in power-to-weight ratio, as the additional equipment makes the Suzuki Access CNG/CBG variant heavier by around 10%. For context, petrol-powered Suzuki Access weighs 106 kg. There could be some reduction in power and torque output as well. The petrol-powered Access has a 124-cc engine that generates 8.4 PS and 10.2 Nm of torque.
Along with the CNG/CBG version of Access, Suzuki has also showcased a hydrogen-powered concept version of the Burgman 400 scooter. In this case, the hydrogen tank is mounted beneath the floorboard. This hydrogen-powered Burgman 400 utilizes hydrogen combustion for propulsion. It is not revealed how close Suzuki has come to launching its first hydrogen-powered scooter.
CBG – A boost for rural economy
While CNG and CBG are similar fuels, it is the CBG that has more benefits to offer. Suzuki’s CBG program not only aims to reduce carbon emissions but also generate new sources of income for rural households. At the Japan Mobility Show, Suzuki displayed a miniature model of a biogas plant. This has been built in collaboration with a dairy cooperative in India.
TVS Jupiter CNG Showcased at 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo
CBG is derived from dairy waste and the byproduct is also valuable in the form of organic manure. Both of these can benefit the rural economy when biomethane projects are carried out on a large scale across the country. Government policies also incentivize production of biomethane gas. Unlike CNG, which is a limited resource, CBG is classified as a renewable resource. Its production has a lower carbon footprint, as compared to CNG.

Honda Activa Achieves 35 Million Sales Milestone – India’s #1 Scooter

Honda Activa Achieves 35 Million MilestoneSeveral factors such as reliability, fuel efficiency and practicality have ensured consistently high sales for Honda Activa
Introduced in India in 2001, Honda Activa has achieved various milestones over the years. The latest record is cumulative sales of 35 million units, comprising the Activa 110, Activa 125 and the Activa-i. This makes the Honda Activa India’s best-selling scooter ever. Let’s get more details on this riveting journey.
Honda Activa achieves 35 million sales milestone
It took around 14 years for Honda Activa to reach the 10 million sales milestone. This was achieved in 2015. The next 10 million sales came in just three years in 2018. And now, in 2025, Activa sales have reached the 35-million mark. Activa remains to be the top selling Honda two-wheeler vehicle in India, contributing more than 50% to the brand’s overall sales.
Honda Activa became popular, as it revolutionized urban mobility with its gearless design. Activa became synonymous with reliability and durability, making it the preferred choice among the masses. The scooter has a simple, yet elegant and practical design that suits everyday needs. Unlike entry-level commuter motorcycles that are mostly used by men, Honda Activa is preferred by a wide range of users regardless of their gender or age.
There are various other factors that have made Activa a bestseller. For example, Activa generally has low maintenance and replacement parts are easily available. The scooter has strong build quality, ensuring a hassle-free experience for years. With regular servicing, Honda Activa delivers reliable performance without any issues. Honda’s large dealer network and reliable after-sales services have also contributed to Activa’s popularity.
    Honda Activa Features
Honda has also introduced updates for Activa at regular intervals, in line with industry trends and evolving consumer expectations. Some of the key updates introduced over the years include the combi-brake system, Honda Eco Technology (HET), LED headlamp, digital console, fuel injection (PGM-Fi), eSP, Bluetooth connectivity, smart key with H-Smart technology, TFT screen, USB Type-C charging port and Honda Road Sync connectivity suite.
    Electric Activa holds potential
With the EV segment registering strong growth, Honda had introduced the Activa electric earlier this year in January. Activa e: is backed by the advanced e-Swap technology, which eliminates the wait time for battery recharge. Users can swap the discharged battery with a fully charged battery in under a minute.
e-Swap technology also reduces the upfront cost of the electric scooter. Activa electric is currently available at select locations such as Delhi, Haryana, Karnataka and Maharashtra. As more states are covered, Activa electric sales could witness strong growth. Honda Activa e: has two 1.55 kWh lithium-ion battery packs with IP65 rating.
    Honda Activa e
Power is supplied to a 6 kW (8.16 PS) electric motor. The scooter has a range of 102 km and top speed of 80 km/h. 0 to 60 km/h is achievable in 7.3 seconds. In comparison, the petrol-powered Activa 110 has a 109.51 cc engine. It generates 8 PS and 9.05 Nm of torque. Activa 125 gets power from a 123.92 cc engine that generates 8.4 PS and 10.5 Nm of torque. More

Honda EV Outlier Concept Unveiled – Shows Future Bike Designs

Honda EV Outlier Concept Unveiled (Right)At the ongoing Japan Mobility Show 2025, Honda Motor Co showcased a multitude of concepts and prototypes for vehicles designed to go on land, sea, skies and even outer space (we kid you not). While the 0 Alpha Concept and Super-One Prototype are pretty interesting, Honda’s EV Outlier Concept stands out for all the good reasons. Let’s take a closer look.
    Honda EV Outlier Concept
If you are wondering what Honda EV Outlier Concept is, it is a preview of Honda’s design direction for motorcycles beyond 2030 calendar year. EV Outlier Concept umbrella is Honda’s take on a futuristic electric motorcycle and it might spawn a production-spec version as soon as 2030. It looks like it came right out of a Cyberpunk world.
EV Outlier Concept Unveiled, EV Urban Concept Showcased
EV Outlier Concept seems to be a continuation of two other electric mobility concepts showcased by Honda at 2024 EICMA Show last year. These are called EV Fun Concept and EV Urban Concept, where the former is an electric street fighter and latter is an electric scooter. EV Urban Concept was showcased alongside EV Outlier Concept as well.
As the name suggests, EV Outlier Concept, is much more, well, outlandish than the two concepts showcased last year. It is a long motorcycle with an outlandishly long wheelbase. It features a futuristic mainframe which looks like a monocoque perimeter. Interestingly, it features a single-seat that gets back and lateral supports as well.
    EV Outlier Concept Unveiled
Behind this seat is a giant LED tail light signature. At the front, we have a transparent body panel that covers headlight and front forks for maximum aerodynamics. There seems to be rear view cameras on this concept that are projecting feed on a giant horizontal instrument cluster.
    In-Wheel Motors for Design Freedom
With EV Outlier Concept, Honda has crammed two electric motors. However, they are both integrated into the massive wheels. One motor on one wheel for dual-motor AWD setup. Because motors are integrated into its wheels, Honda has liberated a lot of space under the frame to incorporate as much battery as they physically can along with sophisticated components.
EV Outlier Concept Unveiled, EV Urban Concept Showcased
We have massive single disc brake setup at both ends. Because this is not a conventional mainframe, footpegs stem out of the main spine on top, which is very unusual. Front gets telescopic forks, while rear seems to be a mono-shock.
