Honda might have discontinued the Fit subcompact hatchback in the U.S., but the Fit-based HR-V is still going strong here despite being overdue for a redesign. However, the Fit, which is sold elsewhere in the world, received an attractive redesign. The 2021 HR-V subcompact SUV stays relatively the same, except for new wheel designs and privacy glass, and sees slight price increases across the board.
All 2021 HR-Vs are powered by a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). Front-wheel drive is standard on all models, although all-wheel drive is available. The base LX model starts at $22,140, a $100 increase compared with the 2020 model, and all-wheel drive ups the price to $23,640.
The Sport, EX, and EX-L models are the ones that get the new wheels. They start at $24,090, a $350 increase; $25,340, a $150 increase; and $26,940, also $150 more expensive than the 2020 model. Adding all-wheel drive costs $25,590 for the Sport, which also gets privacy glass, $26,840 for the EX, and $28,440 for the EX-L.
The 2021 Honda HR-V is on sale now starting at $22,140 for the base LX model and topping out at $28,440 for the EX-L with all-wheel drive.
