TVS Apache, Ntorq prices increased – Ntorq Yellow Race Edition Launched

Following its BS6 compliancy update, TVS Ntorq and Apache motorcycle prices have been revised twice now in quick succession

Speaking about the Ntorq scooter – Available as a BS6 scooter since March 2020, updates were limited to emission upgrades. At the time, the price hike was in the range of 6.5k to 9k, depending on variant.

TVS Ntorq BS6 starting price point was listed at Rs 65,975 over Rs 59,462 for the BS6 version. BS6 Ntorq disc brake was listed at Rs 69,975 over the outgoing model at Rs 59,995. BS6 Race edition retailed at Rs 72,455 over Rs 64,925. All prices ex-sh, Delhi. This was the prices in June 2020.

And now, within two months, price has been hiked by a grand. NTorq drum brake variant price is revised from Rs 66,885 to Rs 67,885; Ntorq Disc variant from Rs 70, 885 to Rs 71,885, and Race Edition from Rs 73,365 to Rs 74,365. Within a few short months, Ntorq range has had a price revision ranging from over 8k to over 11k.

Apart from increasing prices of the Ntorq, TVS has also launched a new colour variant under the Race Edition. Until now, only Red and Black colour option was on offer with Ntorq Race Edition. From now, it is also being offered with Yellow and Black colour. Bookings have opened. Price is Rs 74,365, same as the Red colour.

BS6 TVS Apache RTR price is now revised by Rs. 1,050 and is priced at Rs. 128,550, up from of Rs. 127,500, ex-sh, Delhi. When the BS6 RTR 200 4V was launched, it was listed at Rs 1.24 lakh (ex-sh, Delhi) at a price increase of about 12k from the BS4 model. BS6 Apache RTR 200 4V price was raised by 2.5k in 2020 an May 2020, making the current hike, the second such increase.

TVS Apache / Ntorq – New price list

BS6 TVS Ntorq is powered by a 124.8cc with FI. It returns 9.4 hp at 7,000 rpm, and 10.5 Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. Fuel tank capacity is now increased to 5.8 litres from the earlier measure of 5 litres. Weight increase is listed as 1.9 kg, and total kerb weight at 118 kg. Presented as a premium scooter, TVS manufactures 25k units a month, and reported growth of 24 percent in segment that declined by 17 percent. TVS’ bestselling scooter is the Jupiter.

TVS Ntorq Sales

In June 2020, TVS Ntorq sales was reported at 18,680 units at 14.07 percent sales decline from Rs 21,738 units sold in June 2019. Launched in February 2018, the automaker announced 4 lakh units sold in December 2019. A little over 100 days later, that number was just below 5 lakh units when FY20 came to an end. By the, the country was already under complete lockdown owing to Covid-19 pandemic. As activity resumed in May, sales resumed. It’s safe to say, TVS Ntorq sales have surpassed 5 lakh units, but are in fact closer to 5.5 lakh units at the end of July 2020.
