We Find Used Ford Broncos for Less Than $30,000: Window Shop with Car and Driver

With the new 2021 Ford Bronco about to debut, we decided to see what’s for sale in the vintage Bronco market. Armed with a $30,000 budget and a goal of finding something we’d actually spend our money on, the Window Shop crew scoured the internet for Broncos built from 1966 until 1996.

This week, senior editor and actual Bronco owner Ezra Dyer joins us to extoll the virtues of his 1993 Eddie Bauer Bronco. We get into the merits of each generation, argue about which is best, try to get at the root of the Bronco’s appeal, fail to find a presentable first-gen Bronco on our budget, discuss the overshadowed Bronco II, and ask ourselves if we’d buy a vintage one now or if the new Bronco will be worth the wait. As is always the case, some of our picks are better than others.
