Luxury travel trailer manufacturer Airstream has launched a new video series called Portable Park, complete with stunning high-definition views of Yellowstone National Park. The beautiful sights and sounds of the park are even more easy to appreciate now that a majority of Americans are stuck in lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Airstream has created a website where future park visits can be planned, including information and booking information for Yellowstone’s five campgrounds. In the meantime, Airstream promises more Portable Park episodes to help satisfy its nature-loving customers.
Yellowstone covers 3471 square miles and stretches into three states: Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana. It’s also a UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to many geysers, including the famed Old Faithful. It was designated a national park in 1872 by President Ulysses S. Grant.
The film is a collaboration with documentary filmmaker MacGillivray Freeman Films, and it expertly captures numerous scenes from the park. Unlike a traditional documentary, Portable Park eschews a human narrator and instead lets the park speak for itself, with bubbling geysers, howling wolves, and grunting bison stealing the spotlight.
If you’re among the many outdoor enthusiasts and avid campers who are craving a getaway amid the global pandemic, take a look at Airstream’s first installment of Portable Park and give your wanderlust a taste of the good stuff. We also suggest you screenshot some of the scenes and use them as a background for your next Zoom conference call so your classmates and co-workers can enjoy the views, too.
