Hero MotoCorp has launched the updated BS6-compliant Pleasure+ 110 CVT scooter at a starting price of Rs 54,800 for the base steel-wheel variant.

Hero MotoCorp has launched its first BS6-compliant scooter for the Indian automotive market in the form of the new Pleasure+ 110, with a host of updates. The Hero Pleasure+ 110 BS6 boasts of the two-wheeler brand’s ‘XSENS Technology’ that promises 10% better fuel efficiency and acceleration in comparison to the outgoing BS4 model. Ex-showroom prices stand at Rs 54,800 and Rs 56,800 (for the alloy variant).

The new Pleasure+ 110 was designed and developed entirely in-house at Hero MotoCorp’s R&D facility — the Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) — in Jaipur. Hero MotoCorp is also the first two-wheeler brand to introduce a BS6 product in the country with the launch of the new HF Deluxe and Splendor iSmart.

Malo Le Masson, Head (Global Product Planning) of Hero MotoCorp shared that he feels confident that the new Pleasure+ will be a hit among young riders. He also added that a range of updated and BS6-compliant Hero products are going to hit the market in the coming weeks. Hero MotoCorp is the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters.

Coming back to the new Hero Pleasure+ 110 BS6, the scooter is powered by a 110cc power plant that accommodates an eight-sensor fuel-injection system. Output figures stand at 8bhp and 8.7Nm of torque. The figures remain the same as the outgoing BS4 model. As mentioned at the beginning, the scooter gets improved performance and fuel economy thanks to the FI system’s better control over the mix of air and fuel going into the engine.

Usually and as seen in many recent examples, updating to a higher emission standard results in slightly lower output. The process is, in a way, similar to choking the engine in a bid to attain better combustion efficiency or restrict the amount of by-products escaping out through the exhaust system. In this regard, Hero MotoCorp has done a good job by making the scooter perform even better.

Changes have happened in the looks department as well. The alloy-wheel variant gets a chrome garnish around the headlamp while both variants get some a few new shiny bits around the body. The new Hero Pleasure 110+ BS6 is available in six choices of colour: Matt Red, Matt Green, Matt Axis Grey, Glossy Black, Glossy Blue, Glossy White and Glossy Red.
