MG Motor India is gearing up for the official debut of the luxurious M9 electric MPV at the upcoming Bharat Mobility Expo on January 17, 2025. Ahead of the grand reveal, MG has dropped a teaser puzzle, challenging fans to decode the mystery before the big unveiling. The message encourages fans to “decode the mystery” and uncover the name of the upcoming vehicle. The first to solve it will have the thrill of uncovering what MG promises to be a game-changer in the luxury MPV segment.

This creative engagement is part of MG’s build-up to the Bharat Mobility Expo, where the brand will showcase its latest offerings, including the M9, which was previously unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo as Mifa 9.
About the MG M9 Electric MPV
The MG M9 is set to redefine the luxury MPV experience in India. Known as Maxus 9 / Mifa 9 in international markets, the MPV is expected to be launched in March 2025 with an estimated price tag of Rs 65 lakh, the M9 will rival vehicles like the recently launched Kia Carnival MPV. Key Highlights:
Design: With a tall, upright nose featuring a full-width LED light bar, chrome embellishments, and vertical drop-down tail lamps, the M9 strikes a balance between a boxy MPV silhouette and striking design highlights.
Dimensions: Measuring 5.2 meters in length, 2 meters in width, and 1.8 meters in height, the M9 surpasses competitors like the Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire in size.
Seating and Comfort: Expected to be available in both 7- and 8-seater layouts, the M9 will offer ample interior space. Luxurious features include powered front and rear seats with heating, ventilation, and massage functions, fold-out ottoman seats, powered sliding rear doors, and twin sunroofs.
Entertainment and Tech: The MPV comes equipped with rear entertainment screens, a premium audio system, and advanced connectivity features, making it a tech-savvy offering.
Powertrain: The M9 is likely to be powered by a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery delivering 245 HP and 350 Nm of torque. It boasts a WLTP-certified range of 430 km, making it a strong contender in the premium electric MPV space.
