Hyundai Motor India has officially unveiled the much-anticipated Creta Electric, set for launch on January 17, 2025, at the Bharat Expo in Delhi. The announcement came alongside a stunning TV commercial featuring Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, the brand ambassador for Hyundai India. The TVC highlighted some key details, showcasing Hyundai’s commitment to cutting-edge EV technology and practicality.

Battery Options and Performance
Under the hood, the Creta Electric is powered by a 51.4 kWh battery pack, paired with an electric motor. The SUV promises an impressive range of up to 473 km per charge, supported by advanced regenerative braking for enhanced efficiency. There is a smaller 42 kWh battery pack option also on offer, which will deliver a claimed range of 390 Kms on full charge.
It is set to compete with rivals such as the Tata Curvv.ev, MG Windsor, MG ZS EV, and soon to be launched Mahindra BE 6, and Maruti eVitara. Manufactured at Hyundai’s Chennai plant alongside the standard Creta, it benefits from streamlined production processes. Prices are expected to start from Rs 15 lakh, ex-sh.
The Creta Electric comes with an 8-year/160,000 km battery warranty, emphasizing durability and peace of mind for buyers. For quick recharges, the SUV supports fast charging, achieving 10-80% charge in just 58 minutes. Additional highlights include in-car payment systems for added convenience, making the Creta Electric a standout option in the EV market.
Hyundai has revealed exciting additional details about the upcoming Creta Electric, highlighting its advanced features and technology. The Creta Electric will ride on R17 aero alloy wheels with low rolling resistance (LRR) tyres, ensuring optimized efficiency and improved aerodynamics. Promising convenience and reliability, Hyundai has mapped over 10,000 EV charging points on the myHyundai app, complementing the availability of a smart connected home charger for seamless charging at home.
