Honda 2W Sales 2024 – Domestic sales, exports growth
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India achieved total sales of 58,01,498 units in 2024. Domestic sales accounted for 52,92,976 units, while exports reached 5,08,522 units. This performance reflected a year-on-year (YoY) growth of 32.08 percent compared to 2023, indicating strong demand across markets.
December 2024 total sales amounted to 3,08,083 units. Domestic sales stood at 2,70,919 units, and exports reached 37,164 units. Compared to December 2023, sales declined by 2.85 percent, marking a decrease of 9,040 units. Sequentially, sales dropped by 34.83 percent versus November 2024, reflecting a seasonal impact on volumes.
Q4 Snapshot: Honda 9.59 percent Growth in a Busy Quarter
In Q4 2024, Honda sold 13,78,543 units, achieving 9.59 percent YoY growth. Domestic sales contributed 12,56,927 units, representing 91.18 percent of quarterly sales. Export volumes rose to 1,21,616 units, a growth of 37.68 percent.
Honda 2W Sales 2024 – Honda’s domestic sales milestone of 6 crore units since June 2001 marked a significant achievement. Eastern India recorded 30 lakh Shine and SP125 customers, while Southern India reached 10 million Activa customers. These milestones reflect Honda’s strategic focus on regional growth.
Electric Shift: Activa e: and QC1
ACTIVA e: and QC1 electric scooters entered the market, with bookings commencing on January 1, 2025. Deliveries are scheduled for February 2025. Pricing details will be unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo.
NX500 Adventure Tourer joined Honda’s premium motorcycle lineup under the BigWing brand. Additionally, the CB300F Flex-Fuel, India’s first 300cc flex-fuel motorcycle, showcased Honda’s focus on alternative fuel technology. Both models cater to niche customer segments, further diversifying Honda’s offerings.
OBD2B Compliance: Honda Models
Compliance with OBD2B standards was another milestone in 2024. Updated models such as Activa 125, SP125, SP160, and Unicorn included advanced features, enhancing fuel efficiency and emission control. These updates reflect Honda’s commitment to regulatory standards and environmental sustainability.
Production capacity expansions supported Honda’s growing volumes. A third assembly line was inaugurated at Vithalapur, Gujarat, increasing production output. Additionally, a new engine assembly line was established at Manesar, Gurugram.
Export sales grew by 61.03 percent YoY in 2024, showcasing Honda’s success in international markets.
