The Infiniti QX50 was new to the market in 2019, so it’s no surprise that this year’s updates are slight. Instead of tweaking the QX50’s design or bolting on new running boards or an ill-advised spoiler, Infiniti has limited itself to launching one new exterior color, making a few updates to the standard equipment—the most interesting of which is the new standard Wi-Fi hotspot—and making more features standard in the second-from-the-bottom Luxe trim.
The features newly standard to Luxe models include heated front seats, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, lane keeping assist, and Infiniti’s ProPilot Assist feature, which, when adaptive cruise control is activated, will bring the car to a full stop (when approaching a traffic jam, for instance) and then, once traffic is moving again, get back up to speed. Buyers who choose the Luxe trim can also choose to pay a little extra for a blackout package that adds 20-inch black wheels, a black mesh grille, black mirror caps, dark chrome accents, and a gray headliner.
In keeping with these updates and with the general order of things, Infiniti has raised prices on all of the QX50’s trim levels this year. The base price for front-wheel and all-wheel-drive models have increased by $700 to $38,975 and $40,975, respectively. The Luxe trim, with its array of new standard equipment, costs $1300 more than last year at $42,525, and the top-of-the-line Autograph AWD model starts at $57,875.
