Genesis Launches Concierge Shopping Service, At-Home Car Delivery

  • Genesis Concierge launches today with individual hosts who will guide buyers through the purchasing process at participating dealerships.
  • After someone expresses interest in a vehicle online, a concierge will get in touch to schedule an at-home test drive.
  • If the person likes the car, it can be delivered to a location of their choosing, and the concierge will be available for follow-up questions.

Hyundai’s luxury brand Genesis is following the growing number of automakers, dealerships, and startups that offer vehicle sales outside the traditional showroom. The Genesis Concierge service launched today at participating dealerships and is the OEM’s stab at reducing the hassle of buying a car.

The service begins when a potential buyer expresses interest in a vehicle online. A host will then contact that person and answer any questions they may have via phone, email, or text. The host will act as a guide through the experience and can schedule an at-home test drive if that’s what the buyer wants. If all goes to plan, the vehicle can be delivered to the new owner’s chosen location.

After delivery, the same concierge is available to answer questions or tackle any concerns the new owner may have. “As with our popular Service Valet owner amenity, utilized by 90 percent of Genesis owners, Genesis Concierge shows we have great respect for our customers’ ultimate luxury—their time,” Mark Del Rosso, president and CEO of Genesis North America, said in a statement.
