As people may be facing financial difficulties in the current scenario, Triumph will be bearing the cost of up to three EMIs for its customers. This offer is applicable on Triumph’s Modern Classic range motorcycles – Street Twin, Bonneville T100, Bonneville T120 and the Speedmaster.
Although this offer is applicable on bookings made in May, it is expected that the scheme will be extended. That’s because the current situation is far from normal even though lockdown restrictions have been eased in various parts of the country. Customers are still wary of heavy expenses, as there is significant uncertainty about the future.
Triumph’s EMI support plan can be beneficial for customers, as they don’t have to worry about paying EMIs for up to three months. It is expected that by that time, things will become much better. The government has already hinted that restrictions will be further eased after May 17. Moreover, a special financial package is expected to be announced to kick-start the economy.

Triumph has been aggressively pursuing the Indian market by consistently launching new products. In December last year, the British motorcycle manufacturer had launched all-new Rocket 3 at Rs 18 lakh. With its massive 2500 cc engine, Rocket 3 can put even SUVs to shame.
The engine generates max power of 165 hp at 6,000 rpm and max torque of 221 Nm at 4,000 rpm. New Rocket 3 is equipped with a range of premium hardware such as Showa USD front forks, fully adjustable Showa monoshock RSU, Brembo Stylema brakes, torque assist hydraulic clutch, internally wired handlebars, and triple exhaust system.
Next launch was that of 2020MY Triumph Street Triple RS, priced at Rs 11.13 lakh. Due to lockdown, the motorcycle was launched online. Bookings had also commenced online and deliveries are expected to start in the coming weeks. New Street Triple RS gets an updated 765cc liquid-cooled 12-valve DOHC inline-triple engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Torque output has been increased from 77 to 79 Nm, while power output is the same at 123 hp.
Triumph is currently readying to launch Tiger 900, which is expected to work as a replacement for Tiger 800 in the Indian market. In international markets, Tiger 900 is offered in five variants: Standard, GT, GT Pro, Rally and Rally Pro. For the Indian market, only GT and Rally variants are expected to be launched. Tiger 900 will be powered by a new 900cc inline-3 engine that makes 94bhp at 8,750rpm and 87Nm at 7,250rpm.
