    Yezdi Teases 3 New Motorcycles For Launch – Roadking, ADV, Cruiser

    After Jawa, Classic Legends is looking to create yet another success story with the Yezdi nameplate. Initially, three Yezdi bikes are expected to be launched. One of these will be Roadking scrambler, while the 2nd will be an Adv motorcycle and the 3rd will be a cruiser.
    As per the latest teaser, Yezdi will launch 3 new motorcycles, and not 2, as previously expected. Test mules of these bikes have been spotted quite frequently in recent weeks. Official launch of Yezdi motorcycles is tomorrow, on January 13, 2022.
    Yezdi motorcycles – design and features
    Yezdi motorcycles have neo-retro styling, something that is common across various brands in this segment including Royal Enfield, Jawa, Honda and Benelli. By combining the best of both worlds, it becomes easier to target enthusiasts with varying tastes and preferences. Retro bits are evident in features such as round headlamp and taillight, teardrop-shaped fuel tank and spoke wheels.
    Yezdi bikes appear capable of tackling city streets as well as off-road tracks. Some common features include wide handlebar, upswept exhaust and dual-purpose tyres. The Adv is apparently better equipped for the trails with features such as large windscreen, knuckle guards, and dedicated engine and radiator guard. The bike’s digital instrument console is wrapped in a rugged, shock-proof casing. It has racks at front and rear for cargo.

    Users can expect comfortable riding stance on both Yezdi bikes. The Adv can do relatively better in this department, as it has taller handlebar, low seat height and centrally placed footpegs. Yezdi Adv has wider seat in comparison to the lean unit on Roadking scrambler.
    To reduce development and production cost, Yezdi motorcycles are expected to borrow several of the hardware bits from Jawa motorcycles. For example, the engine could be the 334cc unit currently being used for Jawa Perak. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox, the engine churns out 30.64 ps of max power and 32.74 Nm of peak torque.
    Standard telescopic forks will be common for both bikes. At rear, Roadking scrambler will have dual shock absorbers while Adv comes with a monoshock unit. Disk brakes at both ends will be common for Yezdi motorcycles. Dual-channel ABS is expected to be offered as standard.
    BSA Gold Star 650 next
    Classic Legends has plans to strengthen its presence in international markets as well. For that, BSA Gold Star 650 motorcycle is currently under development. The original Gold Star was a popular bike in UK several decades earlier, when it was offered with 350cc and 500cc engine. Gold Star gets bigger in its 21st century avatar, sporting a 650cc motor. It is likely to be launched first in UK. It could be introduced in India at a later date.
    Powering Gold Star will be a 652cc motor that generates 45 hp / 55 Nm. It is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. In international markets, BSA Gold Star will primarily take on Royal Enfield 650 twins. Other rivals include Triumph Street Twin and Kawasaki W800. More

    Yezdi Roadking Adventure, Scrambler Spied Up Close In New Spy Shots

    Classic Legends will be officially unveiling the Yezdi brand of motorcycles on January 13, 2022. This will be the third brand that the Indian bike maker will be reviving after relaunching Jawa in 2018 and BSA earlier this year. The company will be launching the Yezdi brand by introducing two motorcycles- a scrambler and an adventure bike.
    Test mules of both models have been frequently spotted on Indian roads in recent times. The upcoming Yezdi siblings have been caught on camera once again ahead of their global debut in a couple of weeks. A spy video of both motorcycles has been uploaded on Instagram courtesy of Bhuvan Chowdhary.
    Although in their camouflaged guises, both motorcycles appear to be in their final stages of testing. Both motorcycles are expected to be underpinned by a new architecture accompanied by a higher load-bearing rear subframe. While Yezdi Roadking scrambler will take on the upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter, Yezdi Adventure will lock horns with Himalayan.
    Yezdi Roadking, ADV- Design
    When it comes to styling, both motorcycles sport a distinct design but flaunt some common neo-retro styling elements such as a round headlamp, fork gaiters and wire-spoke wheels. The scrambler also receives a teardrop-shaped fuel tank and circular rearview mirrors which further accentuate its retro appeal. Other styling highlights include dual exhaust canisters, a circular LED taillight and a single-piece seat with a ribbed pattern.

    Coming to its adventure sibling, the bike gets signature ADV styling highlights such as a large windscreen and a beak up front along with a sculpted fuel tank and a taller stance. It also features split-style seating and a raised tail section. Unlike the scrambler, the adventure bike boasts of a single-sided upswept exhaust canister and different radiator shrouds in comparison to current Jawa models.
    Mechanical Specs & Features
    In all likelihood, both bikes will be powered by a 334cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor that kicks out 30 bhp and 32.74 Nm of peak torque. This unit will be paired with a six-speed gearbox via a slipper and assist clutch. The powertrain currently propels Jawa Perak and will also be seen empowering the brand’s upcoming cruiser.
    Coming to the hardware setup, frames on both motorcycles will be suspended on conventional telescopic forks at front and a mono-shock with preload adjustability at rear. However, the Adventure bike is expected to offer more travel than its scrambler sibling. Both motorcycles will roll on spoked wheels that are shod with dual-purpose tyres.
    Braking duties will be handled by disc brakes on both ends with calipers from ByBre. In terms of features, both Yezdi bikes are expected to be equipped with a fully digital instrument console and all-LED illumination including taillight, turn indicators and headlight. More

    With launch of Jawa in 2018, Mahindra-owned Classic Legends had made its intentions clear about challenging segment leader Royal Enfield. Growing popularity of Jawa motorcycles has given the company enough confidence to intensify the game further. Towards that end, other bestselling brands from the past are being revived such as BSA and Yezdi.
    After sharing a coming soon teaser on Yezdi social media, Classic Legends has now shared a new teaser. This one shows a date – 13-01-2021, 13th Jan 2021. No more details have been revealed. But the iconic three lines running through the teaser, are hint enough for the fans.
    Yezdi Roadking scrambler and Adv features
    Initially, two motorcycles will be launched under Yezdi brand, Roadking scrambler and its Adv sibling. While Yezdi Roadking scrambler will take on upcoming Royal Enfield Hunter, Yezdi Adventure will challenge Himalayan. Both bikes have neo-retro styling with features such as round headlamp, fork gaiters, and teardrop-shaped fuel tank. Use of spoke wheels further enhances the classy profile of these bikes.
    In terms of their unique styling, Yezdi scrambler has round rear-view mirrors, wide handlebar, compact seat with quilted pattern, and upswept exhaust. The bike has rear tyre hugger that also doubles up as the mount for registration number plate. Riding stance is fairly upright and comfortable with centrally mounted footpegs. With dual-purpose tyres, the bike should be able to tackle mild to moderate offroad terrains.
    Yezdi Launch Date Teaser from Classic Legends
    Talking about Yezdi Adventure, the bike has quite a few similarities with its primary rival Himalayan. Some key features include raised front fender, large transparent windscreen, sporty rear-view mirrors, dedicated knuckle guards, cylindrical turn signals, split seats, upswept exhaust, and sturdy grab rails.
    Users can expect relaxed ergonomics with centrally placed footpegs, low seat height and tall and wide handlebar. Touring capabilities of Yezdi Adventure are expressed with features such as dedicated racks at front and rear.
    Metallic stays at front also double up as protection bars for the engine, fuel tank and radiator. The bike gets a rugged metallic underbelly bash plate. At front, the digital instrument console is wrapped in a shock-proof casing.

    There’s a high probability that Yezdi Roadking scrambler and its Adventure sibling will be using the 334cc engine that currently does duty on Jawa Perak. It generates 30.64 ps of max power and 32.74 Nm of peak torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
    While both bikes have standard telescopic forks at front, Yezdi scrambler gets dual shock absorbers at rear. The Adv has monoshock unit at rear. It is likely that suspension travel for Adv will be more in comparison to Roadking scrambler. Adv will also have an additional sub-frame at rear to enhance its load bearing capacity.
    While Roadking scrambler will have 17-inch wheels at both ends, its Adv singling is likely to get a larger 19-inch unit at front. The bikes will have disc brakes at both ends. Dual-channel ABS is expected to be offered as standard. More

    Mahindra owned Classic Legends has been working to revive the defunct brands Yezdi and BSA. The company has already revived the Jawa brand in India back in late 2018 and BSA earlier this month. Initially, there will be two models coming out of the Yezdi lineup- the Roadking scrambler and an adventure bike.
    Both motorcycles are expected to be underpinned by a new architecture accompanied by a higher load-bearing rear subframe and have been spotted on multiple occasions in recent times. The company has been actively testing these bikes ahead of their launch expected to take place in the first half of 2022.
    2022 Yezdi Roadking New Motorcycle Teased
    As seen in earlier spy shots, the Roadking is expected to be a neo-retro scrambler with some classic styling elements. The motorcycle has been spied featuring highlights such as a round headlamp, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, circular rearview mirrors and fork gaiters. The single-piece seat gets a ribbed pattern while the tail section seems upright yet very short.
    The rear fender has no visible extension and flaunts a small LED headlamp while the rear wheel gets a tyre hugger. The bike will feature a twin exhaust setup with short tailpipes and canisters. Take a look at the first official teaser below.

    After successful resurrection of Jawa, Classic Legends is working to revive other iconic brands such as Yezdi and BSA. While Yezdi will be focused on domestic market, BSA will cater exclusively to UK and other European markets. Yezdi range will initially include two bikes, Roadking scrambler and an ADV. These have been spotted quite frequently in production-ready form. Launch can be expected sometime next year.
    Yezdi scrambler and ADV styling
    Both Yezdi bikes have retro styling with features such as round headlamp and spoke wheels. Scrambler model gets some additional retro bits such as round rear-view mirrors. On ADV, rear view mirrors have a contemporary design. Features that are common across both bikes include LED headlamp, sleek cylindrical-shaped LED turn indicators, fork gaiters and knuckle guards.
    Talking about unique aspects of these bikes, Yezdi scrambler has wide, flat handlebar, upswept exhaust, sleek seat design with quilted pattern, and rear type hugger. The bike has short tail section and number plate is mounted on rear tyre hugger. Metallic grab rails can be seen at the rear, which are long enough to support decent sized luggage items.
    Just like Himalayan, Yezdi ADV has a dominating profile. It will be hard to miss on the streets. Latest spy video from Bullet Guru shows the Yezdi adventure testing on highway at speed of over 100 kmph. The video was captured by Bajaj Dominar rider.

    Some key features include secondary raised front fender, a tall windscreen, sculpted fuel tank, full digital instrument console packed in rugged, shockproof casing, and split seats. Handlebar is placed at just the right height, which should ensure optimal control and comfort when negotiating uneven terrain.
    The bike has dedicated racks at both front and rear. Front rack is an integrated unit that also works to protect the fuel tank, radiator and engine. Yezdi ADV has upswept exhaust with the angle of elevation higher than that of its scrambler sibling.
    Engine and specs
    Both Yezdi bikes are expected to share an entirely new platform. There could be some slight variations based on specific design and hardware requirements. It is likely that Yezdi bikes will borrow the engine from Jawa Perak. The 334 cc, liquid cooled, single-cylinder, DOHC motor churns out max power of 30.64 ps and peak torque of 32.74 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox.
    At the front, both bikes have standard telescopic forks. Yezdi ADV is likely to use 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. In comparison, its scrambler sibling will have 17-inch units at both ends. The ADV uses knobby dual-purpose tyres whereas the scrambler gets road-biased units. At the rear, ADV has monoshock suspension with preload adjustability. Scrambler is likely to have dual gas-charged suspension setup.
    If Classic Legends has plans to play the volumes game with Royal Enfield, it will have to opt for competitive pricing. If that’s how it turns out to be, Yezdi bikes could be launched in the range of Rs 1.75 lakh to Rs 2.10 lakh. More
