    One of the most significant updates can be seen in the rear suspension setup. The current Hunter 350 has been known for its relatively stiff ride, a result of its linear spring suspension. The new spy images reveal that Royal Enfield is switching to a progressive spring design at the rear. While this doesn’t automatically confirm a more plush ride, it shows that Royal Enfield is actively responding to customer concerns to improve comfort.
    Another important update is the addition of an LED headlight — a feature now being standardized across Royal Enfield’s lineup. With this update, all RE bikes will feature LED headlights except for the Bullet 350.

    Another area that Royal Enfield has consistently focused on is to introduce new colour options for its motorcycles.     Based on user feedback, one area for improvement is the suspension setup. Many Hunter 350 users have shared their experience about the bike’s stiff suspension setup at the rear. In its current form, the bike is equipped with twin tube emulsion shock absorbers with 6-step adjustable preload. A stiffer suspension ensures agile characteristics and quick manoeuvres, which is perfect for city conditions. However, a stiff suspension can also impact overall ride comfort, especially when negotiating rough patches.

    Effects of the stiff suspension used with Hunter 350 are amplified since the bike utilizes 17-inch wheels at both ends. In comparison, the Classic 350 comes with 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels. Hunter 350’s smaller wheels enhance agility. But combined with the stiffer suspension, overall riding comfort is impacted across rough surfaces.

    After launching the updated 2025 Eliminator 500 in India, Kawasaki has just launched 2025 Ninja 500, which is a fully-faired version of that motorcycle (or vice versa). While the Eliminator 500 didn’t get any visual cues to distinguish it as a newer MY25 version, that is not the case with Ninja 500.

    With MY25 Kawasaki Ninja 500, we get a new colour called Metallic Carbon Grey colourway. This replaces the sole Metallic Spark Black colourway offered with MY24 version. With the new colour, we can see Green highlights on fairing that lend it a distinct look, which was absent in MY24 version.
    Where pricing is concerned, 2025 Ninja 500 costs Rs 5.29 lakh (Ex-sh). This is an upward price revision of Rs 5,000 (Ex-sh) over MY24 version’s Rs 5.24 lakh (Ex-sh) price tag. In comparison, the price hike with 2025 Eliminator 500 over its MY24 counterpart was Rs 14,000 (Ex-sh) and looks relatively fathomable.

    The main change on this motorcycle can be seen with its powertrain, which is now compliant with latest and more stringent BS6 P2 OBD2B emission standards. Speaking of engine, it still displaces 451cc and continues to be a parallel twin-cylinder liquid-cooled motor that is capable of generating 44.77 bhp of peak power and 42.6 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

    With respect to components, there aren’t any changes either. It still gets RSU telescopic front forks at the front, while 125cc bikes have been offering USD forks.     75 Ola Electric Showrooms Shut Down – Here’s Why

    Ola Electric has been under the limelight for a very long time and not for good reasons. The company has been caught up in an ocean of customer complaints. But what seems to have troubled the brand more is legal actions faced due to malpractices by Ola dealerships. In Maharashtra, the crackdown on Ola dealerships has deepened.
    As per a recent report, Maharashtra Government has instructed RTO Department to shut down all the Ola Electric dealerships that have been operating without a valid trade certificate. As per this report, around 75 Ola Electric showrooms in India operating without trade certificates have been shut down and 192 scooters have been seized. Let’s take a closer look.
    83% Of Inspected Stores Lacked Trade Certificate
    The Bengaluru-based electric mobility solutions provider, Ola Electric, has found itself in the middle of turmoil with Maharashtra Government. The state’s joint transport commissioner has issued a show cause notice to Maharashtra RTOs in an email dated 16th April 2025, widening its crackdown on Ola Electric.
    As per a recent report, RTOs have inspected around 146 Ola Electric stores in Maharashtra. 121 of these inspected dealerships or experience centres failed to produce a trade certificate. Which is 82.87% of the inspected dealerships. 75 of these have been shut down so far and 192 electric scooters have been seized in the process.

    Instructions were to shut down any Ola dealership operating under an RTO in Maharashtra state without a valid trade certificate. A showroom or a vehicle distributor needs to have a trade certificate from necessary authorities so that the vehicles sold through their dealership can be registered in the state.

    This could be the reason why there was a discrepancy in sales in February 2025 where Ola claimed around 25k units sold, while only 8,647 of them were registered. This was followed by a slew of inspections in the month of March 2025 by the RTO Department in key Maharashtra cities like Pune and Mumbai.
    Transport Minister Pratap Sarnaik mentioned that many of Ola’s experience centres were found to be operating without a trade certificate. Some of them were even found sharing a trade certificate among themselves. Maharashtra Transport Department served a notice to Ola Electric and the company replied that it was in the process of applying for trade certificates across all the stores in Maharashtra.

    Bajaj ChetakThe Indian 2W EV segment has been on the rise and more OEMs are trying their luck and competing to the highest level. With Ola Electric on a downward spiral where sales are concerned, Bajaj Auto and TVS Motor have gained a lot of ground. With the Chetak lineup, Bajaj Auto even emerged as the #1 2W EV brand for March 2025.
    Monthly sales in March 2025 stood at 1,30,375 units which was a 7.10% YoY decline when compared to the 1,40,344 units sold in March 2024 with a volume loss of 9,969 units YoY. In FY25, total sales stood at 11,49,422 units which was a 21.18% YoY growth over 9,48,518 units sold in FY24 with a volume gain of 2,00,904 units YoY.

    It was Bajaj Auto that topped the sales charts in March 2025 as the company sold 34,907 Chetak electric scooters, securing 26.77% of the market share. When compared to the 18,088 units sold in March 2024, Bajaj registered a 92.98% YoY growth and sales almost doubled. Volume gain stood at 16,819 units and the market share has more than doubled YoY.
    TVS Motor took 2nd place in March 2025 with 30,477 units sold and secured a 23.28% market share. When compared to 26,644 units sold last year, TVS registered 14.38% YoY growth. Ola Electric in 3rd place, sold 23,435 units last month with 56.31% You decline. Sales have more than halved YoY and the 17.98% market share is less than half of what it had in March 2024.

    Ather Energy managed to sell 15,467 units last month which accounted for a YoY decline of 11.25% YoY and it secured an 11.86% market share. Hero Vida sold 7,982 units with a 6.12% market share. The company has doubled its market share YoY and gained 3,897 units in volume YoY when compared to the 4,085 units sold last year.
    These were followed by Greaves with 5,642 units and 87.44% YoY growth, BGAUSS with 2,591 units and 16.79% YoY decline, PUR Energy with 1,805 units sold and 291.54% YoY growth, Revolt with 1,395 units and 134.45% YoY growth, Kinetic Green with 842 units and 78.78% YoY decline, River with 794 units and 375% YoY growth along with other brands that constituted for 5,038 units.

    While Ola’s Monthly sales have dropped quite significantly, it continues to lead in FY25 sales charts with 3,44,009 units sold. Ola even registered a 4.26% YoY growth when compared to 3,29,947 units sold in FY24 with a volume gain of 14,062 units. Market share in FY25 was 29.93%, which is down from 34.79% in FY24.

    TVS Motor, Bajaj Auto and Ather Energy secured 2nd, 3rd and 4th positions as these companies sold 2,37,576, 2,30,806 and 1,30,944 units respectively. TVS registered 29.68% YoY growth and 20.67% market share, Bajaj registered 115.32% YoY growth and 20.08% market share and Ather registered 19.95% YoY growth and 11.39% market share in FY25.
    These were followed by Hero MotoCorp with 48,674 units and 174.68% YoY growth, Greaves with 40,162 units and 28.41% YoY growth, BGAUSS with 17,343 units and 13.79% YoY growth, Revolt with 11,564 units and 57.29% YoY growth, Wardwizard with 9,394 units and 3% YoY growth, Pur Energy with 8,982 units and 28.66% YoY growth, Kinetic Green with 8,452 units and 12.98% YoY decline along with other brands accounting for 61,516 units in FY25. The main update has been done to its 649cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that is rated to deliver 67 bhp and 64 Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox and weighs 196 kg.

    The company has launched Classic 350 in Nepal via the CKD route where they will be assembled at RE’s assembly facility in Birgunj in collaboration with Triveni Group. This is among the 6 CKD assembly facilities Royal Enfield has across the world. Others being Brazil, Thailand, Colombia, Argentina and Bangladesh.

    With its vintage charm and timeless appeal, Classic 350 has emerged as a cultural icon. A phenomenon, rather. For Nepal, Royal Enfield is offering the same equipment and features that debuted in 2024 Classic 350 for Indian market. So, LED headlights, LED turn indicators, USB Type-C charging port, gear position indicator in instrument cluster and other features are standard.
    Also standard, is dual-channel ABS, introduced for the first time in Nepal by Royal Enfield. It is powered by the same J-Series 349cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that is capable of generating around 20 bhp and 27 Nm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
