Ultraviolette F77 takes on RS 457 and KTMs in this epic track shootout – Results will blow your mind!

Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 Track PerformanceUltraviolette F77 Mach 2 Track Run
As seen in the video, Ultraviolette F77 smoked the opposition and emerges victorious. The bike’s stellar acceleration in Ballistic Mode unlocks all of its 40.2 bhp of peak power and 100 Nm of peak torque instantly, delivering ‘Ballistic’ performance to smoke the competition in this particular track shootout.
    [embedded content]
Speaking of competition, the ICE motorcycles in this track shootout appear to be Aprilia RS 457, a previous Generation Yamaha R3, KTM RC 390 (373cc engine) and the new KTM 390 Duke (399cc). All these motorcycles are subjected to a hot lap at the famous Kari Motor Speedway in Chettipalayam, Tamil Nadu, India.
Previous Gen Yamaha R3 finished this hot lap around Kari Motor Speedway taking 01:22:728, KTM RC 390 (373cc) did it in 01:21:932, KTM 390 Duke (399cc) took 01:20:934 and Aprilia RS 457 took 01:20:168. With 01:20:168 to beat, a race-tuned Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 did the hot lap around Kari Motor Speedway in just 01:19:338, which is around a whole second quicker than the quickest rival.
This particular Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 is a track-tuned version of a F77 Mach 2 electric motorcycle. But our internal sources say that this is very close to the standard bike sold to motorcycling enthusiasts across Ultraviolette Showrooms around India.
Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 Track Performance
On top of the Standard variant, Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 Recon variant packs additional performance and a bigger battery with more range
Homegrown electric mobility solutions provider, Ultraviolette Automotive, dominates the upper tier of India’s electric motorcycle segment. Ultraviolette has quickly gained popularity in India owing to its world-class products and has expanded its presence globally by debuting its flagship F77 electric motorcycle in Europe.
Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 Track Rivals
Ultraviolette Automotive is a stellar example of the Make-in-India initiative, showcasing India’s profound manufacturing and engineering prowess. The company’s relentless pursuit has led to the launch of F77 Mach 2. Recently, this electric motorcycle took on a few ICE motorcycles of comparable calibre and emerged victorious in an epic track shootout. Here are the mind-blowing results.
How can F77 Mach 2 be so fast?
Ultraviolette Automotive has been smitten by the aviation industry. The company incorporated an aviation-derived electric drivetrain, promising uncompromised performance across all conditions. Even the aerodynamic bodywork is reminiscent of fighter jets, cutting through air with utmost precision.
The razor-sharp handling and otherworldly track performance come from precise engineering of its underpinnings. The chassis has immense structural rigidity and is sprung by potent 41mm preload-adjustable USD telescopic front forks and mono-shock rear suspension. Dropping anchor on this torque monster is a 4-pot calliper at the front from Bybre.
    Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2
Propulsion is taken care of by a single electric motor belting out up to 40.2 bhp of peak power and 100 Nm of peak torque. This is enough to propel Ultraviolette F77 Mach 2 from a stand-still to 60 km/h in just 2.8 seconds and can hit 155 km/h when unleashed. The largest-in-segment 10.3 kWh battery pack on the Recon variant ensures there’s enough range even for high-speed track exercises like this.

2025 Suzuki Hayabusa Updated With New Exciting Colours

2025 Suzuki HayabusaWith the launch of 2025 Suzuki Hayabusa, there are three new exciting colours that aim to uplift the bike’s appeal than previous ones
Ever since its inception, Suzuki Hayabusa has been an absolute phenomenon. This Peregrin Falcon has been the talk of motorcycling town for a long time and continues to be so in the future, owing to its legendary status and incredible cult following. For MY25, Suzuki has updated this speed demon with three new colours expanding its colour palette.
    2025 Suzuki Hayabusa Updated
One of the major players in spiralling speed wars, Suzuki Hayabusa has been a fan favourite. More so than its immediate rivals who indulged in said speed wars. In India, Suzuki Hayabusa has a special fan base owing to its appearances in iconic Bollywood movie, Dhoom, garnering the title ‘Dhoom Bike’.
    2025 Suzuki Hayabusa
Currently in its third generation model, Hayabusa is one of the most capable sports tourers money can buy. For MY25, Suzuki has offered Hayabusa three new colours to uplift overall appearance. There is no word whether these colours will be offered by Suzuki Motorcycle India for Indian buyers.
New colours in question are Metallic Mat Steel Green / Glass Sparkle Black (C0T), Glass Sparkle Black / Metallic Mat Titanium Silver (BLG) and Metallic Mystic Silver / Pearl Vigor Blue (ASU). The Metallic Mat Steel Green / Glass Sparkle Black (C0T) shade seems to be the new highlight and it looks rather nice.
    New Suzuki Hayabusa Colours
Especially coupled with the Glass Sparkle Black contrasting elements, overall design looks more impactful in this lovely shade of Green. However, Glass Sparkle Black / Metallic Mat Titanium Silver (BLG) looks more premium and luxurious owing to its Titanium Silver contrasting elements over the Black. Like a jewellery, if you may.
    What are the other changes?
Apart from these new colours, 2025 Suzuki Hayabusa stays as is mechanically. A grotesque in motorcycle engineering and an absolute legend. It continues to be powered by the same 1340cc 4-cylinder DOHC 4V/cyl engine that can churn out 190 bhp of peak power and 142 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
    New Suzuki Hayabusa
Aerodynamic fairing on Suzuki Hayabusa is extensively tested in a wind tunnel to cut through air like a hot knife through butter. Top speed on Hayabusa is still 299 km/h, honouring the Gentlemen’s Accord to end the speed wars.
    Suzuki Hayabusa Instrumentation
With 3rd generation Hayabusa, Suzuki has implemented more modern instrumentation than before and gets overhauled componentry. Rider aids like S.I.R.S. (Suzuki Intelligent Ride System) and the twin-spar aluminium frame suspended by fully-adjustable KYB 43mm USD front forks and rear shock absorbers, Brembo Stylema 4-pot front callipers, are some of the notable elements. New KTM 390 Adventure India Debut At IBW 2024 – Teased

New KTM 390 Adventure India Debut Teased
The same 399cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine debuted with 390 Duke will power the new KTM 390 Adventure soon launching in India

KTM has had the most activity in recent times. For starters, the company relaunched some of its big bike portfolio in India after a very long time. At the EICMA 2024 show, KTM showcased a bunch of technology and innovations. But for Indian market, the biggest talking point has to be 390 Adventure.

This single-cylinder high-performance ADV tourer is one of KTM’s most celebrated models in India. The new generation model was unveiled at EICMA and is set for an official India debut at IBW 2024, held in Goa between December 6th and 7th. KTM India has teased the same on their social media handles. Let’s take a look.

    390 Adventure India Debut

Ever since its launch, KTM 390 Adventure has been a staple name in the motorcycling fraternity. It offered a comfortable touring experience, light off-roading, rough-roading and high-speed cruising abilities. Features like the TFT instrument cluster with connectivity also helped the proposition.

With the new generation of 390 Adventure, KTM is stepping up its game and is offering a lot more in terms of functionalities and capabilities. For starters, New 390 Adventure will be offered in multiple variants – 390 Adventure X and 390 Adventure R. The latter being the more exciting one of these two.
2025 KTM 390 ADV at EICMA : Image – RokBagorosStuntrider

Even though design, chassis and body panels are similar, 390 Adventure X is positioned below 390 Adventure R. X gets 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels, apt for touring. At 200 mm, suspension has less travel and is non-adjustable. It even misses out on cornering ABS and the instrumentation is LCD unit.

In comparison, 390 Adventure R emerges as the more hardcore one as it packs a lot of off-road-worthy hardware. For starters, it gets fully adjustable suspension with 230 mm of travel, 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wire-spoke wheels, higher ground clearance, a TFT instrument cluster, cruise control, dual-sport tyres and more.
    KTM 390 ADV R Side

390 Adventure R also gets advanced rider aids like cornering ABS and MTC (Motorcycle Traction Control), among others. However, R has a seat height of 885 mm, which is substantially higher than X’s seat height of 825 mm.

The same powertrain as 390 Duke

The sharp and edgy bodywork, projector LED headlights, tall windscreen, knuckle guards, front beak, semi-fairing and fuel tank design are among the many attributes shared between both variants of New KTM 390 Adventure. They will also share the same 399cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that kicks out around 45 bhp and 40 Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox. It has to be seen whether KTM India is keen on introducing 390 Enduro and 390 SMC at IBW 2024. More

Hero Surge S32 2-in-1 Electric Scooter-Cum-Rickshaw To Start Production Soon

Hero Surge S32The unique Hero Surge S32 can transform into a 2W or a 3W with minimum effort, on all road conditions and under 3 minutes
Indian automotive industry has seen a few innovative products across segments and genres. Among the most interesting ones is the Surge S32 2-in-1 electric scooter-cum-rickshaw. This innovative product comes from a startup called Surge, owned by 2W juggernaut Hero MotoCorp.
After debuting earlier this year and winning many design awards, Hero Surge S32 is making headlines again. This time, the company is commencing production of S32 within a year. Speculations also suggest a launch might happen somewhere around mid-2025.
    Hero Surge S32
    Hero Surge S32
There are commercial vehicles and then there are private passenger vehicles. Very few brands have tried to combine these two aspects. A few years ago, we saw the launch of Eicher Polaris Multix which tried to bridge the gap between CVs and PVs in the lower-tier price bracket. However, it didn’t catch on.
Now, Hero MotoCorp is trying the bridge the gap between CVs and PVs, but with a unique take of its own. With their Surge EV subsidiary, Hero has culminated a unique experience for users by combining an electric scooter and a 3-wheeler electric rickshaw. Surge S32 is set to go into series production soon.
    Surge S32 different body styles
There may be multiple variants of Surge S32. A 3W auto rickshaw (S32 PV), a 3W cargo vehicle (S32 LD), a 3W covered cargo vehicle (S32 HD) and a flat-bed 3W cargo vehicle (S32 FB). In all these versions, scooter part remains the same, while the rickshaw part changes accordingly.
This is the first time an OEM has attempted to combine a 2W and a 3W in one product. Hence, it needs a special category which Surge and Hero have worked out with Ministry of Road Transport and Highways. Called L2-5, it represents a 2W-3W combi module category, where an L2 scooter is connected with a non-self-propelled rear module.
    Hero Surge convertible EV
    How does it work?
Surge S32 is based on the AMSEP platform constructed around a ladder-frame chassis. The scooter and non-self-propelled rear module have separate powertrains and the system automatically switches between these powertrains as per the vehicle in use. It has to be noted that the scooter acts as the front wheel for rear non-self-propelled module.
Surge EV promises the conversion between 2W and 3W is seamless and takes little to no effort, happens under 3 minutes and can be done anywhere. The company promises safe and reliable battery and a full-metal body. While scooter’s instrumentation becomes Rickshaw’s instrumentation, Rickshaw gets more switches of its own.
Hero Surve EV – 2 in 1 convertible EV
The main use case of this unique approach is to provide users with a versatile vehicle for multiple roles. It could be one’s daily bread to transport cargo or passengers in 3W mode. Also, it could be one’s last-mile delivery vehicle in 2W mode or one’s personal mode of transportation, leaving their commercial aspects behind.

Oben Rorr EZ Is More Than Just a Commuter Bike – First Impression

Oben Rorr EZ Electric MotorcycleWe ride the new Oben Rorr EZ electric motorcycle, priced from Rs 89,999 ex-sh – Here is our first impression
Annual motorcycle ownership costs today are about Rs 35,000 to Rs 40,000. With inflation and rising fuel prices, these costs will only increase, putting a strain on people’s budget.
Add to that the stress of daily commuting with constant clutch press, gear shifting, heat, vibration  etc. It’s clear that conventional ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) motorcycles aren’t making life easier for their owners. This is something I could relate to as I navigated the daily grind, facing high fuel costs and the fatigue of gear shifts and vibrations.
    Oben Rorr EZ Electric Motorcycle
Enter the Oben Rorr EZ – an electric motorcycle poised to change the game. Oben Electric, one of India’s top homegrown electric vehicle manufacturers based in Bengaluru, has launched the Rorr EZ at a starting price of Rs 89,999 (ex-showroom).
    Oben Rorr EZ Electric Motorcycle
    A Head-Turning Design
For a price Rs 89,999, ex-sh, most would expect a basic-looking ICE commuter. But the Rorr EZ shatters that notion with its bold appearance. It looks like a 200cc motorcycle, which immediately appealed to me.
    Oben Rorr EZ Electric Motorcycle
During my test ride, I had several moments where enthusiasts came up to ask about the bike. I couldn’t help but notice the admiring glances from passersby, captivated by the bike’s striking design.
    Oben Rorr EZ Electric Motorcycle
Oben’s neo-retro styling, from the round LED headlight to the sleek LED indicators and muscular tank element, created a striking first impression. The battery pack positioned where an engine would traditionally be made to look balanced and modern.
    Oben Rorr EZ Electric Motorcycle
I also found the fully digital instrument cluster both practical and stylish. The sleek rear LED taillights, stylish alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, and the comfortable seat added to its attractive profile. The choice of five vibrant colours—Electro Amber, Surge Cyan, Lumina Green, Photon White, and Flux Grey (available with 2.6 kWh variant)—ensures that there’s something for everyone.
    Oben Rorr EZ Electric Motorcycle
What I really appreciated was the 200mm ground clearance, which gave me confidence while tackling speed bumps and rough patches on Indian roads. Despite the high ground clearance, the 810mm seat height was manageable, making it accessible and comfortable to ride.
    The EZ City Commuter
Oben Rorr EZ is designed to minimize rider fatigue during daily commutes. It comes with a belt drive, which provides a vibration-free experience that many ICE bikes fail to offer. Knowing that the belt drive requires less maintenance and doesn’t need regular lubrication was a big plus, as it adds convenience and peace of mind.
    Oben Rorr EZ Electric Motorcycle
The power delivery from the mid-mounted motor was impressive. It was silent, smooth, and completely vibe-free. I didn’t miss the clutch action or gear shifts at all—instead, I found myself appreciating the seamless nature of riding the Rorr EZ. Commuting through the city traffic without constant gear changes is a blessing.
    Engineered for City Life
The proprietary ARX framework of the Oben Rorr EZ immediately felt stable and well-balanced as I navigated through city traffic. The suspension setup, with RSU telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock, provided a comfortable and responsive ride.
    Oben Rorr EZ Electric Motorcycle
I was especially impressed by the braking performance with ByBre disc brakes at both ends, which offered strong and reliable stopping power. The bike’s 1,433 mm wheelbase and 138-148 kg kerb weight (depending on the battery variant) made it agile and easy to manoeuvre.
    Oben Rorr EZ Electric Motorcycle
    Electrifying Performance
One of the standout features for me was the choice of LFP battery options—2.6 kWh, 3.4 kWh, and 4.4 kWh. LFP batteries are known for their high safety standards and durability, and Oben’s use of them underscores their commitment to quality. These batteries offer 50% higher temperature resistance and twice the lifespan of conventional ones. The variant I was riding is the 3.4 kWh option, which delivers an IDC claimed range of 140 kms and a true range of 110 kms in real world conditions.
    Oben Rorr EZ Electric Motorcycle
The ride modes—Eco, City, and Havoc—added versatility. Eco mode focused on maximizing range, which I could see being useful for long trips, while Havoc mode delivered thrilling performance for spirited rides. I found the City mode to be a balanced option, perfect for the kind of riding I do most often during commuting.
The peak power output of 7.5 kW and 52 Nm of torque translated to quick acceleration, making weaving through city traffic a breeze. The 0-40 km/h sprint in just 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 95 km/h were impressive for a commuter electric bike. During my test ride, I even managed to touch a speed of 103 km/h downhill. The bike remained stable and predictable even at high speed.
    Oben Rorr EZ Electric Motorcycle
    Features, Charging, and Warranty
The charging port is located inside the tank element, making it easily accessible, and there’s even a small storage area that fits your smartphone or even 1-liter water bottle.

Under-seat storage for the charger was another practical touch that I liked. Charging was quick, with the 4.4 kWh variant reaching 80% in 2 hours, 3.4 kWh variant in 1.5 hours and the 2.6 kWh variant in just 45 minutes.

The fully digital LED instrument cluster, complete with adaptive brightness, was intuitive and easy to read. The bike came well-equipped with LED lighting all around and high-quality switchgear. Connectivity features like Ride Vitals, Remote Diagnostics, and Bike Tracking provided a modern edge, while advanced safety features like the Driver Alert System (DAS), Geo-Fencing, and Battery Theft Protection gives peace of mind to owners.
    Battery and Motor Warranty
Oben Care offers a reassuring ownership experience. The Rorr EZ comes with a 3-year/50,000 km warranty on both the battery and motor, and the Comprehensive Oben Protect extended warranty spans up to 5 years or 75,000 km. This added layer of support is a significant positive for buyers, as it underscores Oben’s confidence in their product.

    Where it can improve
While the Oben Rorr EZ has many positives, there are a few areas where it could improve:
    1. Firm Suspension: The suspension felt slightly on the stiffer side, making rides over bumps and potholes a bit uncomfortable at times. But the good news is that the suspension is adjustable to make it as per rider preference.
    2. Seat Length: The seat could benefit from being a bit longer to provide added comfort for pillion riders.
3.Brake Activation on Inclines: When waiting on an incline, there’s no way to lock the bike’s brake. A lever lock system, similar to what some scooters offer, would be a helpful addition.

The sleek design, impressive performance, and thoughtful features make it stand out in the crowd.

Bookings have started at Rs 2,999, and with immediate test rides and deliveries, plus flexible financing options and EMIs from just Rs 2,200, getting an Oben Rorr EZ is more convenient than ever.
