  • Ford is adding two new exterior color choices for the high-performance 2021 Mustang Mach-E GT: Cyber Orange and Dark Matter Gray.
  • The Mustang Mach-E GT is the most powerful Mach-E and produces 459 horsepower and 612 lb-ft of torque.
  • The GT models will arrive in summer 2021, priced starting at $61,600.

The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT will be the most powerful, top-of-the-line model in the new electrified Mustang’s lineup. It’ll produce 459 horsepower and 612 lb-ft of torque, and according to Ford it will be able to achieve a zero-to-60-mph time in the mid-three-second range. Another reason to like it is that customers can now reserve the most powerful Mustang Mach-E in two additional exterior color choices: Cyber Orange Metallic and Dark Matter Gray.

Ford

Ford says that orange is one of the most popular colors on the regular Mustang, and if it’s going to call an electric crossover a Mustang and put pony badges all over it, it’ll have to not only drive like one, it’ll have to remind people of one. The Mustang Mach-E GT is also available to order in Dark Matter Gray, Rapid Red Metallic, Star White Metallic, Grabber Blue, Shadow Black, Iconic Silver, and Space White.

The Mustang Mach-E GT models feature a more aggressive-looking metallic front grille—sporting the Mustang badge—along with 20-inch wheels, red brake calipers, and a GT badge on the rear. It even gets Ford’s MagneRide suspension, but whether or not it actually drives like a Mustang still remains to be seen and tested.

At its launch last fall, Ford claimed that the Mustang Mach-E GT will be “faster off the line than a Porsche Macan Turbo.” It’ll come in two variants—the standard GT and the GT Performance Edition—and they’ll both produce 459 horsepower and 612 lb-ft of torque. Ford claims the GT Performance Edition is capable of zero to 60 mph in the mid-three-second range.

The 2021 Mustang Mach-E GT is available to reserve now and scheduled to reach customers in the summer of 2021 with a starting price of $61,600.
