The former is a more road-biased version suited for long-distance cruising while the latter is aimed at tackling off-roading conditions and features spoked wheels and longer travel suspension.In India, Triumph will be offering Tiger 1200 in a total of four variants including Rally Pro, GT Pro, Rally Explorer and GT Explorer.     Yamaha Sales Breakup April 2022 – FZ, MT15, R15, RayZR, Fascino

Exports on the other hand increased YoY but dipped on a MoM basis.The company has reported 43,968 unit domestic sales in the past month, a 17.82 percent YoY growth over 37,318 units sold in April 2021 relating to a 6,650 unit volume growth. While the FZ, MT15, R15 and FZ25 posted sales growth, YoY sales of RayZR, FZ and Fascino ended in the red.Yamaha India Sales Breakup April 2022It was Yamaha FZ that topped sales charts both where domestic sales and exports were concerned. Sales in the past month stood at 16, 508 units, up 34.23 percent from 12,298 units sold in April 2021. The Yamaha FZ commands a 37.55 percent share. MoM sales de-growth stood at 28.28 percent over 23,016 units sold in March 2022. Yamaha has two variants of FZ that include a standard version and FZ-S, priced at Rs 1.09 lakh and Rs 1.18 lakh respectively (ex-showroom).At No. 2 was Yamaha MT15 with sales growth of 62.12 percent YoY to 9,228 units, up from 5,692 units sold in April 2021 relating to a 3,536 unit volume growth. Share percentage stood at 20.99. Yamaha MT15 sales in March 2022 were at 0 units as it was not on sale. R15 sales in domestic markets increased 31.98 percent to 7,948 units from 6,022 units sold in April 2021. MoM sales growth was at 37.79 percent from 5,768 units sold in March 2022.Yamaha India Domestic Sales Breakup April 2022On the other hand, sales of Yamaha RayZR dipped 23.08 percent to 5,778 units from 7,512 units sold in April 2021 with volume de-growth of 1,734 units. MoM sales also dipped 8.88 percent from 6,341 units sold in March 2022. Sales de-growth was also seen in the case of the Yamaha Fascino which was down 30.58 percent YoY to 3,896 units from 5,612 units sold in April 2021. MoM sales dipped 4.32 percent from 4,072 units sold in the month of March 2022.Sales of FZ25 increased 235.16 percent YoY to 510 units from 182 units sold in April 2021 while MoM sales increased 22.00 percent from 500 units sold in March 2022. Yamaha India has hiked prices of R15, FZS, Aerox, Fascino and RayZR from May 2022 citing rising input costs.Yamaha Exports April 2022Total exports increased 26.46 percent YoY to 27,263 units in April 2022 up from 21,558 units sold in April 2021. This was a 5,705 unit volume growth. MoM exports on the other hand dipped 11.29 percent from 30,731 units sold in March 2022 leading to volume de-growth of 3,468 units. Yamaha FZ topped sales charts with a 91.05 percent YoY growth to 14,092 units, up from 7,376 units shipped in April 2021. MoM exports increased marginally by 3.09 percent over 13,670 units sold in March 2022.Yamaha India Exports Breakup April 2022Yamaha Cruz at No. 2 saw a YoY growth of 89.29 percent to 3,324 units from 1,756 units shipped in April 2021 while MoM exports dipped 20.33 percent from 4,172 units sold in March 2022. Cruz also saw a share percentage dip from 13.58 percent held in March 2022 to 12.19 percent in the past month. RayZR exports dropped YoY (-36.11 percent) and MoM (-28.54 percent) to 3,064 units) while there were 1,800 units of the YD125 exported last month, down 29.41 percent over 2,550 units shipped in March 2022.YoY and MoM de-growth was also seen in the case of Yamaha SZ, FZ25 and Saluto while exports of R15 and MT15 increased to 849 units and 600 units in April 2022 over717 and 80 units exported in March 2022. Yamaha Alpha exports stood at 112 units while Fascino exports dipped 75 percent YoY to 30 units from 120 units sold in April 2021.Yamaha India Sales, Exports April 2022There were 0 units of Saluto RX shipped last month even as there were 1,260 units shipped in April 2021 and 72 units in March 2022. This took total Yamaha domestic sales and exports to 71,231 units in April 2022 up 20.98 percent YoY over 58,876 units sold in April 2021 while MoM growth was at 1.14 percent from 70,428 units sold in March 2022. On the other hand, Honda CB 150R is powered by a 149.2cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that pushes out 16.1 bhp and 13.6 Nm of peak torque.     TVS Sales Breakup Apr 2022 – Jupiter, XL100, Apache, NTORQ, Raider

    TVS Motor sales grew by 37.83 percent in domestic market while exports increased by 3.20 percent YoYTVS ApacheTVS Motor Company has registered total sales of 2,78,376 units in April 2022. This included 1,80,533 unit sales in domestic markets and 97,843 units exported in the past month. A YoY growth of 37.83 percent was reported by TVS Motor for April 2022 with 1,80,533 units sold, up 49,552 units over 1,30,981 units sold in April 2021.Every model in the company lineup posted YoY growth except for the Apache and Pep+. MoM sales however, dipped 8.34 percent from 1,96,956 units sold in March 2022 relating to a 16,423 unit volume de-growth. MoM sales saw 5 of the company models in the red.TVS Sales Breakup Apr 2022 – Jupiter No 1TVS Jupiter topped the list with 138.39 percent YoY growth to 6,957 units, up from 25,570 units sold in April 2021. MoM sales improved by 9.22 percent over 55,813 units sold in March 2022. The Jupiter commands a 33.77 percent share and recently saw its prices hiked across all variants. TVS XL100 moped sales increased 49.29 percent YoY and 6.06 percent MoM to 38,780 units in April 2022. Sales stood at 25,977 units in April 2021 and at 37,649 units in March 2022. Share percentage increased from 19.12 percent to 21.48 percent Mom.Ntorq sales were also up in April 2022 to 25,267 units from 19,959 units sold in April 2021 relating to a 26.59 percent YoY growth. MoM sales improved 6.06 percent from 23,824 units sold in March 2022. TVS has just launched a new NTtorq 125 XT variant in India, priced at Rs 1.02 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). It is presented in a Neon green colour in India.TVS Sales April 2022TVS Sport sales were higher by 89.16 percent YoY to 12,995 units from 6,870 units sold in April 2021 while MoM sales improved by 12.65 percent over 11,536 units sold in March 2022. Radeon sales improved significantly by 107.68 percent YoY to 11,630 units from 5,600 units sold in April 2021. It was also a 21.63 percent MoM growth over 9,562 units sold in March 2022.TVS Motor noted a de-growth in domestic sales of the Apache, down 75.08 percent to 7,342 units from 29,458 units sold in April 2021. MoM sales also suffered a 73.24 percent de-growth as compared to 27,439 units sold in March 2022. There was also Star City (6,885 units), Pep+ (6,329 units), Zest (5,123 units) and Raider (3,392 units) along with the iQube (1,420 units) and RR310 (403 units) on this list in April 2022.TVS Motor Exports Apr 2022TVS Motor Company has seen YoY and MoM growth in terms of exports. Total exports stood at 97,843 units in April 2022, up 3.20 percent over 94,807 units sold in April 2021. This was volume growth of 3,036 units. MoM exports increased by 4.25 percent from 93,854 units shipped in March 2022.TVS Exports April 2022In global markets it was the Star City 125 and Star City that garnered the most attention. Sales increased 15.21 percent and 10 percent respectively to 37,919 units and 28,860 units in April 2022 with share percentage at 38.75 and 29.50 respectively. MoM sales increased by 7.71 percent for the Star City 125 from 35,206 units sold in March 2022 while that of Star City fell by 11.97 percent over 32,785 units sold in March 2022.Thereafter, sales of the Apache dipped 37.28 percent to 11,771 units while exports of Raider stood at 9,142 units. It was a MoM growth of 30.59 percent for the Raider of which only 7,000 units were exported in March 2022. YoY de-growth was also seen for the TVS Sport (6,003 units), Ntorq (2,627 units), Victor (800 units), Radeon (200 units), Jupiter (63 units) and RR310 (30 units) besides just 6 units of the TVS XL exported in April 2022. It was however a 252.50 percent growth for the Wego of which 423 units were exported in April 2022 up from 120 units shipped in the same month of 2021. MoM performance was somewhat better with only exports of the Radeon (-68.75 percent) and RR310 (-50 percent) reported. More

The latest to join this list is the new-gen RC 390 which has been launched at a price of Rs 3.14 lakh (ex-showroom). It is the final model of the locally built RC lineup to launch in India.Earlier last year, the Austrian brand launched new-gen models of RC 125 and RC 200 in the country. However, the new KTM RC 390 continued to face multiple delays – likely due to chips shortage. Like its smaller siblings, the new-gen RC 390 has undergone a significant amount of updates both in terms of fashion and function.2022 KTM RC 390 Launched- DesignFor starters, like RC 125 and RC 200, RC 390 now receives a single-piece headlamp, flanked by integrated LED DRLs and turn indicators on side encasings, a larger front windscreen and a more muscular fuel tank. Other visual updates include completely redesigned bodywork, revised body graphics, sharper rearview mirrors and a two-piece front fender.A wider front fairing ensures that the new RC 390 gets better aerodynamics than its predecessor. Aerodynamic qualities are further enhanced thanks to the revised side fairings which include air vents to ensure optimized airflow. Other styling details include new body graphics, a raised tail section with new split-style seats and a side-in upswept exhaust muffler. However, riding posture still remains very much committed thanks to rear-set footpegs and a large fuel tank in between the rider and handlebar. The bike has a 322kg gross wt while its kerb weight is pegged at 155kg.Specs & FeaturesRC 390 gets the same steel trellis frame, however, like its other two siblings, the fully-faired sports bike gets a new bolt-on rear subframe for better on-road dynamics. Suspension setup comprises USD forks at front and a mono-shock unit at the rear with a braced alloy swingarm. The entire setup is adjustable. Braking duties will be handled by 320mm front and 230mm rear disc brakes aided by a dual-channel ABS sourced from Bosch.Powering the new RC 390 is a familiar 373.27cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled petrol engine that pumps out 43 bhp at a peak torque of 37Nm at 7,000rpm. The motor is linked to a 6-speed gearbox via a slip and assist clutch. Ltd that found four of its models making their way into the top 10 list.Top 10 Motorcycles April 2022 – Hero Splendor at No. 1Topping the list was Hero Splendor with 2,34,085 units sold in April 2022. This was a 20.97 percent YoY growth over 1,93,508 units sold in April 2021. This was a 40,577 unit volume growth. Hero Splendor commands a 37.61 percent share.To maintain lead, Hero has recently seen a new variant added with Splendor Plus Xtec. It comes in with some first in class features and updated technology with Hero’s Xtec connectivity suite with a fully digital instrument cluster and Bluetooth connectivity.Honda CB Shine was in a No. 2 spot with 1,05,413 units sold in the past month, up 32.74 from 79,416 units sold in April 2021. Pulsar sales dipped 30.86 percent to 46,040 units, down from 66,586 units sold in April 2021. This was a 20,546 unit volume de-growth while the Pulsar commanded a 7.40 percent share in the past month. Platina sales on the other hand, increased 10.85 percent YoY to 39,316 units from 35,467 units sold in April 2021. Volume growth was at 3,849 units with share percentage at 6.32.Bottom 5 – Classic, FZ, UnicornAt No. 6 was the Royal Enfield Classic 350 with a 39.82 percent YoY sales growth. There were 32,575 units sold in April 2022, up from 23,298 units sold in April 2021 leading to a 9,277 unit volume growth.Posting a YoY de-growth in sales was the Hero Glamour at No 7.
