    2022 Suzuki 125cc Motorcycles GSX S125, R125 – New Colours, Updates

    2022 Suzuki GSX R125
Suzuki GSX S125 and GSX R125 borrow design inspirations from their larger siblings with 750cc and 1000cc motors
The sub-125cc motorcycle segment forms a very crucial space, especially for young and beginner riders. This is because of strict licensing regulations in European Union which don’t allow amateur riders to ride a two-wheeler above 125cc which churns out not more than 15 bhp.
It is in this space that the GSX range from Suzuki with its twin 125cc bikes attracts enthusiastic young riders as it manages to stay under the norms. While GSX R125 is a fully-faired machine, GSX S125 is its naked sibling. Both motorcycles have received some minor updates for the year 2022 mostly due to the updated emission norms.
    2022 Suzuki 125cc Motorcycles – Updates
Both bikes now flaunt a slightly redesigned headlamp cluster and revised body graphics. The 2022 GSX S125 and GSX R125 are now Euro 5 compliant and despite adopting the stricter emission norms, power and torque outputs have remained unchanged.
Both motorcycles are powered by a 124.6cc, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder motor which dishes out 15 bhp at 10,000rpm and 11 Nm of peak torque at 8,000rpm. Although output hasn’t changed, the updated mill now revs higher by 500rpm.
    2022 Suzuki GSX S125
The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox. The updated motorcycles will start reaching showrooms across European markets by early next year. Apart from updates in the powertrain department, the bikes have also received some subtle cosmetic revisions in order to lend them a fresh appeal.
Also, new colour options have been added to the palette. The S125 is available in three paint schemes including Titan Black, Pearl Brilliant White with Titan Black and Metallic Triton Blue with Titan Black. On the other hand, its fully clothed sibling can be had in two colour options- Titan Black and Metallic Triton Blue.
    Others Specs & Prices
Other specifications on both models have remained unchanged. Both motorcycles are suspended on conventional telescopic forks up front and a mono-shock at rear. Braking is carried out by a petal-type disc at both ends which are aided by a dual-channel ABS. The bikes continue to ride on 17-inch front and rear alloy wheels.
    2022 Suzuki GSX R125
Prices of the updated GSX S125 and GSX R125 are yet to be revealed but both bikes are expected to be priced at around 3,600 Euros (approx. INR 3.08 lakh). This makes it highly unlikely for these motorcycles to be launched in India. In terms of specs, the 125cc iteration of the GSX range will directly be pitted against KTM RC 125 and Duke 125. More

BSA Gold Star 650 Detailed In First Official TVC – On The Road

New BSA Gold StarBSA Gold Star retains much of its classic design with traditional rounded headlamp, wide set handlebars and tear drop shaped fuel tank
Mahindra owned Classic Legends had bought rights of BSA Motorcycles back in 2016 for around Rs 28 crores and has now re-introduced the BSA Gold Star. This new 650cc motorcycle made its public debut earlier this month at the Motorcycle Live Show in the UK. It has been designed and developed in the UK and will also be launched there first.
It may be recalled that the BSA Gold Star was originally sold between 1938 and 1963, when it was offered with engine options ranging from 350cc to 500cc. It now comes in retaining some of these old school design elements but with more modern underpinnings and a newly developed 650cc engine.
    New BSA Gold Star TVC
BSA Gold Star 650 is positioned on a double cradle frame, sports traditional rounded headlamps with integrated LED DRLs and an LED tail lamp. It also receives wide set handlebars and teardrop shaped fuel tank along with wide fenders, spoked wheels fitted with Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp tyres and a single seat setup.
Chrome accents are seen on its body around its headlamp housing, fuel tank and on the exhaust pipe. The bike gets a twin pod instrument cluster with analogue speedometer and tachometer and an LCD multi-function display. A new TVC set against a dark night backdrop, draws our attention to classic features and engine specifications of this reborn BSA project.
    [embedded content]
Some of these designs have also been inspired by the classic Bonneville Twins. BSA Gold Star will receive multiple colour options that will include Insignia Red, Dawn Silver, Midnight Black, Highland Green and Silver Sheen (Legacy Edition). It will weigh 213 kgs and have a wheelbase of 1,425 mm, seat height of 780 mm and fuel tank of 12 liter capacity.
BSA Gold Star – Engine Specs
BSA Gold Star comes in powered by a 652cc motor offering 45 hp peak power at 6,000 rpm and 55 Nm peak torque at 4,000 rpm. The engine gets mated to a 5 speed transmission. Suspension and braking is via 41mm telescopic fork in the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear along with single disc at both ends with Brembo calipers and Continental dual channel ABS.
Classic Legends has not announced any definite plans to launch the new BS Gold Star in India. More recently, the BSA 650cc was also spied on test in India, with a likelihood that the company could produce this motorcycle in India solely for export purpose.
    New BSA Gold Star
2022 BSA Gold Star 650 will go on sale in the UK first, wherein it will rival the likes of Royal Enfield 650 Twins, Kawasaki W800 and Triumph Street Twin. If launched in India, the new Gold Star will be positioned in a similar segment as the Royal Enfield 650 Twins. More

2022 Bajaj Triumph 250cc Motorcycle Inspired By Trident – Render

Bajaj Triumph 250cc Motorcycle – RenderThe first Bajaj Triumph medium displacement motorcycle is likely to be ready in 2022
New Trident has become the best-selling Triumph motorcycle in India. While this motorcycle shares components from the immensely popular Street Triple including its in-line three-cylinder motor, the bodystyle have a variant extension in the more affordable range.
    Bajaj Triumph 250cc Motorcycle
We all know that Bajaj and Triumph are currently working on a family of medium displacement motorcycles, the first of which is set to carry a sub-INR-2-lakh price point. With Royal Enfield having a stronghold in that segment, it would make sense for the new Bajaj-Triumph offering to adopt a similar retro-classic flavour so as to take the fight up to the incumbent.
The price point indicates that the upcoming Indo-British motorcycle would be adopting a single-cylinder engine with an estimated displacement of around 200-300 cc. Engineering and development is being taken care of by Triumph Motorcycles in the UK while Bajaj will be responsible for manufacturing it in a cost effective manner in India.
Just like the compact family of KTM and Husqvarna motorcycles, Bajaj Auto’s production facility will be building Triumph’s medium displacement products locally for global consumption. Bajaj recently launched new 250cc motorcycles under the Pulsar branding. They already have Dominar 250, KTM 250 and Husqvarna 250 offerings in the 250cc segment. It is quite clear that Bajaj is bullish on the 250cc motorcycle segment.
Bajaj Triumph 250cc Motorcycle – Render
    Triumph Trident 250 a possibility?
While the body style of the first Bajaj Triumph medium displacement is anybody’s guess, cruiser or classic roadster are the most likely outcomes. If it is to be the latter, then we think the newly unveiled Trident could serve as design inspiration.
Our rendering artist Pratyush Rout has envisioned the Bajaj Triumph medium displacement motorcycle as a roadster, which could rival the upcoming roadsters from Jawa, Yezdi and Royal Enfield. He borrowed the Triumph Trident’s design lines and introduced interesting dual-tone paint schemes. The Bajaj Dominar engine is used for illustration purpose only.
From what you can see, a quarter-liter roadster with a good blend of classic and modern elements would be an interesting proposition at sub-INR-2-lakh price point. With a little over 20 hp on tap, the motorcycle in question would have Royal Enfield’s soon-to-be-launched next generation family of motorcycles covered.
    Launch Timeline
Before the pandemic crippled the world, Bajaj and Triumph officials went on record to reveal that the first product of their partnership will be ready in 2022. We expect the two wheeler giants to stick to the timeline without much delay.
This partnership would help Triumph establish its presence in the volume-rich global medium displacement segment while taking advantage of Bajaj Auto’s competitive cost structure. For the Indian partner, adding another globally renowned brand to its manufacturing portfolio can only be a good thing. More

Yamaha MT15 Based XSR 155cc Modified Into Custom Motorcycle

Yamaha MT15 Based XSR 155cc Custom. Image – Bike ExifYamaha XSR 155 is powered by the same 155cc liquid-cooled SOHC four-valve engine which propels YZF R15 and MT-15
It has been nine years since Yamaha launched the ‘Yard Built’ program which has set the benchmark for manufacturer-sponsored custom projects. Since then there have been more than fifty custom models built under this initiative. However, this program opened for Asia only after the launch of MT15 based XSR 155.
Hence, the sporty retro-style commuter forms an integral part of the Japanese bikemaker’s ‘Yard Built’ program, especially in Asia. This same program has given birth to a customised XSR 155 in Indonesia which gives the feel of a tiny tank. The bike has been built by an aftermarket workshop called Dues based out of Bali or bengkel in local language.
    Yamaha Yard Built 2021
When Yamaha handed out the XSR 155 to Dues, it laid down two stipulations to the crew at the workshop which were not to make any changes to the Delta frame and engine underneath. The rest can be tinkered as per their wish and they came up with this piece of machine. The challenge is that while the delta frame is great for handling, it isn’t so easy to modify.
The MT15 based XSR 155cc custom has been designed as a ‘go anywhere’ machine which reflects true everyday usage of a common man. As seen from the images, Deus has stripped a lot of components that came with the stock bike. These included fuel tank cover, battery, plastic side panels, bash plate and front and rear fenders. The shape of the swingarm was modified as well. A custom-built swingarm made from stainless steel was used instead.
Yamaha MT15 Based XSR 155cc Custom
    Mechanical Updates
The specialty of this custom XSR 155 lies in the fact that every component has been hand-built. The entire motorcycle has been forged using aluminium, stainless steel and even some plastic panels in the tail section. Also, the stock seat has been replaced by a custom cantilevered tan leather seat and the hand-made tail section.
A few mechanical updates have been made to update the dynamics of the motorcycle. Wheels have gone one size up to 18 inches with VND billet alloy hubs front and back with in-house Sprint XD alloy rims. The front suspension forks have been raised by 20mm with a little more oil to add stiffness. This enhances the bike’s sporty ride quality and feels more assured around corners. The anodized finish of the forks has been replaced with a polished surface while the rear mono-shock gets a softly sprung unit.
    Cosmetic Updates
Further, the new 18-inch wheels are now wrapped around by grippy Pirelli Scorpion Rally tyres to increase the ride height and also make the bike capable of a little soft roading. The stock circular digital instrument console has been relocated in front of the new tank which is designed to accommodate the factory fuel pump and lockable cap. The perforated side panels made from aluminium are the only components to come out of a CNC machine.
The perforated panels give a translucent appeal to the motorcycle revealing its internals. The rugged, mechanical feel of this motorcycle is highlighted by the paint, with shades of silver and grey on the hard parts and a Mitsubishi ‘Rally Red’ for the tank, fenders and headlight cowl. Deus has appropriated named it Aka-Tombo which is Japanese for ‘Red Dragonfly,’ – paying homage to the YA-1, first bike Yamaha made back in 1955.

2022 Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 Spied During TVC Shoot In Goa

2022 Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 via DownShift GoaChanges reveal new Himalayan variant is better equipped and seems more practical for city streets
Following on its aggressive product strategy, Royal Enfield has been continuously testing multiple products in recent times. These include new bikes in both 350cc and 650cc segment. A new motorcycle based on Himalayan has also been spotted. This appears to be a road-biased version of the popular off-roader.
Ahead of its launch, which is expected sometime next month, the new 2022 Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 motorcycle has been spied in Goa in production ready guise. The new RE is in Goa likely for its official TVC shoot. Hat tip to folks at DownShift Goa for sharing these exclusive spy shots via Rushlane Spylane.
New Himalayan variant – Royal Enfield Scram 411
While a Himalayan on the streets commands attention, this new variant has a relatively inconspicuous profile. This could also be described as a no-frills version of the Himalayan. The basic idea appears focused on stripping Himalayan of most of its specialized off-road equipment and features.
At the front, new Himalayan variant gets a smaller wheel. It is likely to be a 19-inch unit, as compared to 21-inch of the current model. Other parts missing include fork gaiters, raised front fender and visor. It is possible that some of this equipment, especially visor, may be offered as an accessory. In other changes, the headlamp mask appears to have been redesigned.
2022 Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411
It is likely that the instrument panel will be an updated unit with option for Tripper navigation system. 2021 Himalayan had received the Tripper system earlier this year in February. Tripper system was first introduced with Meteor 350 and is now also available with new-gen Classic 350. Most other new / next-gen Royal Enfield motorcycles are expected to get Tripper navigation.
At the sides, this new Himalayan variant missed out on front racks. It is a key component on-board Himalayan, both in terms of visual appeal as well as functional use. Instead of the rack, the bike gets small tank shrouds. These have a blacked-out look on the test mule. In production-spec version, the tank shrouds could sport some graphics. Other components on the side such as upswept exhaust, body panels, and split seats are the same as that of Himalayan.
At the rear, the rack for luggage and panniers has been removed. Instead, the bike gets a standard pillion grab rail. While design and positioning of tail lamp is same, turn indicators have been moved further down. On Himalayan, the turn indicators are placed below the rear rack.
To ensure a distinct identity, some new colour options can be introduced for road-biased Himalayan variant. Himalayan is currently offered in colour options of Mirage Silver, Granite Black, Pine Green, Rock Red, Lake Blue and Gravel Grey.
    Performance updates
As per DownShift Goa, the production spec 2022 Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 411 was powered by a liquid cooled motor. Current Himalayan is powered by a 411cc, SOHC, air cooled engine as the current model. It is capable of generating 24.3 bhp of max power at 6,500 rpm and 32 Nm of peak torque at 4000-4500 rpm. It is mated to a 5-speed constant mesh transmission.
Himalayan is equipped with 41mm telescopic front forks and monoshock rear suspension with linkage. Braking system comprises 300 mm disc at front and 240 mm disc at rear. It is integrated with dual-channel ABS. More

Following their global debut, new KTM RC 125 and RC 200 were recently launched in India. Bookings are now officially open. While RC 125 is priced at Rs 1.82 lakh, it’s bigger sibling RC 200 retails at Rs 2.09 lakh. These are special introductory prices.
New 2022 RC 125, RC 200 design and features
New RC 125 and RC 200 utilize MotoGP inspired styling. There are similarities to KTM RC16 racer, in terms of styling, ergonomics and colour options. There are two colour options for both bikes. The white and orange combo is largely the same for both bikes. The black and orange colour theme is different for the bikes with black shade more pronounced on RC 125. In comparison, RC 200 has greater proportion of orange in this theme.
Other features such as the windscreen, headlamp, LED DRLs with integrated turn signals and rear view mirrors are the same on both bikes. One key difference is that RC 125 uses halogen headlight whereas RC 200 gets an all-new LED unit.
Fuel tank is now larger, which can store 13.7 litres of fuel. Both bikes get a new two-piece front fender, which is better at protecting the engine and radiator. It also ensures effective cooling for the radiator and brakes. It was the RC 200 which arrived first at dealerships. Now the KTM RC 125 has arrived at dealer showroom. Here is a first look walkaround of the new RC 125, credit to Throttle98.
    [embedded content]
With the updated RC range, users can expect better ergonomics. The clip-on-handlebars are now 15mm higher in comparison to the outgoing model. The handlebars are customizable and can be lowered by 10mm. This is targeted at folks who prefer a sportier riding stance. Ride comfort has been further enhanced with the use of thicker seat foam and premium seat cover material. Both bikes get a new LCD instrument console that displays a range of information including gear indicator.
New RC 125, RC 200 engine and specs
Engines are the same as earlier, but they have been tweaked to deliver improved ride dynamics. The updated engine makes use of ultra-hard carbon-coated cam levers and four valves double-overhead cams. The bikes also get a larger airbox. With these changes, torque has been increased and the engine has better cooling. It ensures faster acceleration and agile performance across tracks and city streets.
New RC 125 engine can deliver 20 hp of max power and 12 Nm of peak torque. RC 200 makes 25.5 hp / 19.5 Nm. Both engines are mated to a 6-speed transmission. Frame has been updated, utilizing a combination of trellis frame and bolt-on sub-frame. The new frame is 1.5 kg lighter and ensures improved stability and response. Suspension system comprises WP Apex big piston USD forks at front and a new WP Apex rear shock absorber.
Braking duties are performed by 320 mm front and 230 mm rear disc. The bikes have Bybre callipers and Bosch dual-channel Supermoto ABS. Improved braking should provide more confidence to users when negotiating traffic, slippery conditions and during cornering at fast speeds. KTM India is now getting ready to launch the updated RC 390 launch. More

2022 KTM 390 Adventure Rally Spied, Is From Turtletech – Update

2022 KTM 390 Adventure Rally Variant SpiedThe KTM 390 Adventure test mules have a significantly different front face featuring a tall windscreen which is reminiscent of Dakar rally bikes
A few days ago, KTM unveiled the updated Adventure range of motorcycles which included 1290 Super Adventure S, 1290 Super Adventure R, 390 Adventure and 250 Adventure. The latter two hold more significance for the Indian market as they are locally manufactured in the country for domestic sales and export purposes.
Two test mules of the updated 390 Adventure were recently spotted testing in India under heavy camouflage. These have now been spied again, while performing off-road testing. Hat tip to automotive enthusiast Karan Vazirani for sharing these new spy shots.
Initial looks suggest these prototypes are more off-road friendly variants of the ADV bike. The new KTM 390 ADV spy shots reveal some significant visual updates on the prototypes over the regular models.
    2022 KTM 390 Adventure Turtletech – Update 12th Dec 2021
After the spy shots went viral in the motorcycle community, the folks behind the test mules have revealed new details. As per the latest updates, the test mules are not from KTM, but from aftermarket company called Turtletech.

As per the update shared, “KTM ADV RALLY TOWER by @turtletechx. Last week has seen quite a lot of speculation with our test proto spy pics. We thought it’s about time we set the records straight. We are Turtle Tech and we are coming soon.
A first of it’s kind Rally Tower for the KTM Adventure developed in collaboration with @motourenn @monkeyautocrafts and tested by @asadracing from @motorsportmagnum . We are currently under beta testing for our 4th prototype. Preorders will start soon so make sure you follow the @turtletechx page and watch this space.
2022 KTM 390 Adventure Rally – Design Updates
For starters, the most noticeable change is witnessed at its face. The fascia is reminiscent of the bikes participating in Dakar Rally thanks to a huge transparent windscreen that looks utilitarian. The windscreen is mounted on the front forks and extends above the oddly-shaped headlamp bezel. Another visible variation in these mules is a different exhaust which resembles the one used in Husqvarna Svartpilen 250.
2022 KTM 390 Adventure Rally Variant Spied
A major gripe of 390 Adventure owners is its on-road friendly mannerisms which KTM is trying to address with this variant. A wider and taller handlebar has been employed which should offer better ergonomics while off-roading especially while standing to tackle rough terrains. While the bike rides on standard alloy wheels they are wrapped around by rugged block pattern tyres for improved off-roading credentials.
Interestingly, neither of the prototypes didn’t feature any bash plate to protect the engine underbelly but we expect the company to offer it in the production-spec model. Thanks to the revised front face, the TFT display has also been positioned much higher than normal. Apart from these, every other detail has been carried forward from the current 390 Adventure.
2022 KTM 390 Adventure Rally Variant Spied
    Same Mechanical Setup
Everything including the exposed trellis frame, side panels, split-style seating, suspension setup and braking hardware seems to be lifted off from the current 390 Adventure. Even the engine casing looks very familiar which means the same 373cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled will be plonked to the frame.
In regular variants, this engine pumps out 43 bhp and 37 Nm of peak torque while being paired with a six-speed gearbox via a slipper and assist clutch. However, we expect the Austrian bikemaker to make some tweaks to this powertrain so that it offers a better lower-end grunt. This will further accentuate its off-roading credentials. The motorcycle will also boast certain creature comforts like a quick-shifter, cornering ABS and traction control.
The aforementioned updates are expected to come with a significant premium over the standard model which is currently priced at Rs 3.28 lakh (ex-showroom). Going by the spy images, it appears as though the bike is still in its pre-production phase and there is still time for launch. More
