    2023 BMW G 310 R, G 310 GS Updated With New Colour Options

With the G 310 series of motorcycles, BMW targets young and first-time bike buyers at a lower price point2023 BMW G 310 R, G 310 GS – New ColoursBMW Motorrad, BMW’s motorcycle division has been one of the pinnacles in motorcycle engineering and design. The German motorcycle manufacturer has retro legacy motorcycles like R nineT, off-roaders under GS series, corner-carving track machines under RR, XR and S series, sport-tourers under K series, maxi scooters under C series and more. You name it, they have it.What about budget entry-level motorcycles? Well, they’ve got that covered too. To expand their motorcycle envelope and cater to a wider range of audiences across a wider price spectrum, BMW partnered up with TVS Motors. Together, they developed a potent 313cc single-cylinder engine and platform on which both manufacturers have based their motorcycles. 2 such motorcycles by BMW are G 310 R and G 310 GS. They will launch a new one later this month called G 310 RR, more on that later.2023 BMW G 310 R New ColoursKicking things off with the street naked G 310 R, it used to come with two shades namely, Cyanite Blue Metallic and Limestone Metallic. But the German motorcycle manufacturer has discontinued both these colour options. Replacing the Cyanite Blue Metallic, we have Passion Racing Red. And replacing Limestone Metallic, we have Sport Polar White / Racing Blue Metallic.Red comes off as the more striking of the two. It gets a red trellis frame, mostly red fuel tank, red front mudguard and red wheels. BMW has added a touch of white to the headlight cowl and ‘R’ livery on the fuel tank. It gets a blacked-out engine bay, engine guard and gets the typical BMW gold front forks. Sport Polar White / Racing Blue Metallic is the subtler of the two. It also gets a red trellis frame and red wheels. But the splash of red on Passion Racing Red is replaced by white and the white on that model is replaced with metallic blue. The R livery is finished in red though.2023 BMW G 310 R New Colour LaunchBMW G 310 GS New Paint SchemesBMW has added a new version of its G 310 GS namely Basic Cosimic Black 3 in place of Polar White that it used to get before. It is the subtlest of the 3 new colour shades BMW G 310 GS received. It has a black trellis frame, a gloss black finish on top of the fuel tank and top of the fairing, and black wheels. Basically, everything else is black too except for the silver finish on the rear subframe body panels and fairing extensions covering the gold front USD forks.2023 BMW G 310 GS New Colour LaunchSport Polar White / Racing Blue Metallic is another style and it replaces the Triple Black option. It gets a trellis frame finished in red, top of the tank and fairing is now blue with the rest of the tank finished in white. Other elements remain similar to Basic Cosimic Black 3.Replacing Cyanite Blue Metallic is Rallye Kalamata Metallic Matt. It also gets a red trellis frame, but the top of the fuel tank and fairing now gets a dark golden shade that looks very subtle. Rest of the fuel tank is finished in matt black.2023 BMW G 310 GS New Colour LaunchWith the new style variations, BMW hopes to captivate more customers and attract them to BMW’s elite motorcycle club (not a real club). BMW G 310 R is priced at Rs. 2.64 lakh (ex-sh) and competes with the likes of Honda CB300, KTM 390 Duke and the likes. BMW G 310 GS is priced at Rs. 3.05 lakh (ex-sh) and competes with KTM 390 Adventure, Royal Enfield Himalayan and the likes. BMW Motorrad is also expanding its G 310 series with the new G 310 RR, a fully-faired sporty machine based on TVS Apache RR 310. More

Honda Benly e Electric Scooter Spied In Bangalore – Green Plates

Honda Benly e is to be targeted at B2B segment where pickup and deliveries are primary objectivesHonda Benly e Electric ScooterHonda had revealed their roadmap a couple of months ago hinting to the Indian automotive community that it would focus on flex-fuel-powered motorcycles before outright chasing EVs. So, when we were hit by a new spy shot of a Benly e electric scooter with a green number plate with white font, it was head-scratching, to say the least. The green number plate means that the vehicle in question is sold as a finished product and is not a test mule. Because test mules always get red plates irrespective of the powertrain. Last year, we had seen Honda’s Benly e electric scooter under testing with a red number plate. The white font in that green number plate fuels further confusion too. Because Honda Benly e electric scooter is basically an electric goods carrier targeted at B2B segments. This means it is pitted as a commercial vehicle. But commercial EVs should get a yellow font on the green number plate and not white, signifying that it is a passenger EV. Did you scratch your head too? Fret not, we might know what’s going on.Honda Benly e – What is it?Benly e electric scooter by Honda debuted at 46th Tokyo Motor Show back in 2019. This electric scooter is targeted toward pickup and delivery companies and logistic companies. Keeping this in mind, they have a twin battery architecture, where each battery is sized at 0.99kWh capacity. Both these batteries are swappable too allowing them to swap out drained batteries with fully charged ones in a minute. This negates the waiting period for EVs and in pickup and delivery business, time is as precious as gold and getting their fully drained EV up and running with 100% battery in a minute, is priceless.Honda Benly e Electric ScooterBenly e is offered in 4 trims globally namely, Benly e I, Benly e I Pro, Benly e II and Benly e II Pro. Both I series trims get a 3.8 bhp and 13Nm motor capable of 87 km on a single charge with 30 kmph top speed. They can also traverse a 12-degree incline with 30 kg load. The II series trims get a stronger 5.7 bhp and 15 Nm motor capable of 43 km of range from a single charge with at 60 kmph top speed. They can traverse the same incline with 60 kg of load and also get reverse functionality too.Honda Benly e Electric Scooter With Green No PlateNow coming to the question you must be waiting for. Why is it here and how is it a passenger EV? Honda Benly e is powered by Honda’s MPP batteries. Honda has initiated a new vertical named Honda Power Pack Energy India. This vertical’s task is to locally manufacture swappable batteries to power two and three-wheeled vehicles in India. Honda has conducted an elaborate pilot study in 2021 at Thane, Maharashtra. This study clocked 2,00,000 km and 7,000 battery swaps.Starting from Bengaluru, Honda has partnered up with HPCL and Bengaluru Metro to establish swapping stations. When started, these swapping stations will be equipped to provide battery pack swaps for electric two and three-wheeled vehicles. The first swapping station was expected to start operating in May of 2022.Honda Benly e Electric scooter spied, is owned by Honda Motorcycle And Scooter IndiaData reveals that the scooter in question is registered to Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India and hence the white font in the green number plate. The Jayanagar RTO KA 05 number plate checks out too as HPPEI is based in Bengaluru. It is likely that HPPEI is conducting a trial run of some sort with their new battery swapping technology. Since the batteries or the mechanism might be under testing and not the actual scooter, might be a reason why it doesn’t have a red number plate.Source More

Silhouette of the scooter looks sporty in the teaser. Like typical maxi scooters, ADV 150 gets a transmission tunnel running through the footboard thus offering a motorcycle-like riding experience. The teaser also reveals a single-piece saddle with a stepped-up seat for the pillion.Honda ADV 160 TeasedThe long tail section will be accompanied by a chunky grab rail. TVS Apache Electric Motorcycle With BMW G310R Styling – Render

TVS and BMW will be co-developing an electric motorcycle based on a modified version of the G310 platformTVS Apache Electric Motorcycle – RenderA few months back, TVS Motor Company revealed its plans for venturing into the electric mobility space by extending its collaboration with BMW Motorrad. This would include co-development of an electric platform that will cater to future electric scooters, motorcycles and new concepts. The two-wheeler division of the German marque has previously collaborated on development and manufacturing of its entry-level products- G310 R and G310 GS. The G310 twins are responsible for improving the market share of BMW Motorrad in India. This platform also underpins TVS’s flagship product Apache RR 310.TVS Apache Electric Motorcycle ImaginedA digital rendering of the upcoming electric motorcycle from TVS has been created by artist Pratyush Rout. This electric bike is based on a modified version of the existing 310cc platform and also looks very familiar to G310R at its first impression. However, on taking a closer look, one notices that the design artist has incorporated several subtle changes. For starters, TVS Apache Electric Motorcycle (not official name) gets a slimmer headlamp casket than the naked streetfighter from BMW. It gets a muscular faux fuel tank as G 310 R but slightly different in shape and flaunting the TVS brand logo. While G 310 R gets a single-piece step-up seat, the TVS electric motorcycle features a split seat setup. Unlike the petrol-powered bike, the battery-powered motorcycle doesn’t expose its frame apart from the lower section.TVS Apache Electric Motorcycle – RenderLike G 310 R, this rendition of the upcoming electric bike also gets blacked-out internals, thus, providing a sporty dual-tone theme. Alloy wheel designs in the Apache Electric have also been directly lifted from the G 310 R. Instead of an engine and gearbox assembly, the electric motorcycle features a large battery pack placed under the tank.Expected featuresAnother major highlight of this motorcycle is that it is powered by a mid-ship mounted BLDC motor with a chain drive to the rear wheel. Other than this, all visual highlights are comparable to G 310 R including the same handlebar, golden-coloured front forks and rearview mirrors. Aluminium finish has been provided on footpegs and the brake pedal.TVS has not come out with any specific details regarding its upcoming Apache electric motorcycle. The bike is still in its early stages of development and should only come into production around 2024. It should be laced with features like an all-LED lighting setup, a fully digital TFT instrument console compatible with TVS’ SmartXonnect function and Bluetooth connectivity. Upon launch, it could take on the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar electric or the KTM Duke electric.TVS Apache Electric Motorcycle – RenderCurrent TVS Electric offeringTVS currently retails only one electric two-wheeler under its belt in the form iQube e-scooter. Powering iQube is a 4.4kW hub-mounted BLDC motor that derives its energy from a 3.04 / 4.56 kWh battery pack. This powertrain returns 3kW power and 100/140 Nm of peak torque, depending on the variant. Claimed range is from 100-140 kms on single charge. Top speed is at 78 / 82 kmph. More
