Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Exhaust Note Revealed In New Teaser

Hunter 350 is set to become the smallest, lightest and least expensive Royal Enfield on offerRoyal Enfield Hunter 350cc RenderRoyal Enfield enjoys a certain cool factor in India. It is one of the most in-trend motorcycle brands and is expected to stay that way for a long time. Fuelled by the nostalgia it invokes, Royal Enfield is trying to expand its portfolio both vertically and horizontally. In that light, we have seen a lot more products from Royal Enfield launched across various segments and price points. Royal Enfield currently tops 200cc to 500cc segment. But the latest venture by Royal Enfield is supposed to make the British brand’s name accessible to a wider customer base. That will be Hunter 350.Royal Enfield Hunter 350 Teaser – Exhaust NoteWhen we say Hunter 350 will appeal to a wider audience, we don’t mean just in terms of pricing. Of course, pricing will be lower. At least with the base Retro variant. If Royal Enfield offers it around Rs. 1.4 lakh to Rs. 1.5 lakh, the company has basically struck gold. The other aspect is weight. As per leaked specs which we covered in a previous post, the base Retro variant is just 177 kg while Metro and Metro Rebel weigh 181 kg.This attracts a lot of customers that want to be associated with this nostalgic brand, but would scoff away from 195 kg of Classic 350 and 191 kg of Meteor 350. Weight and long wheelbase are good for that occasional highway ride. But for everyday use, they make a bike “Chota haathi”. All those people can now look at Hunter 350. Latest teaser reveals the exhaust note of Hunter 350 or Hunter 350 sound.[embedded content][embedded content]Leaked spy shots reveal the lean and athletic design of Hunter 350. This is a departure from the bulky and chunky design that Royal Enfield bikes are generally associated with. Design seems to be heavily inspired by another British product, Triumph Street Twin. Hunter 350 will rival the upcoming Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle. In the earlier teaser, Royal Enfield had dropped a subtle hint of the possibility of launching the new Bullet 350 alongside Hunter 350. Their teaser had the tagline Bullet Meri Jaan. Bullet name is actually more popular in India than Royal Enfield’s own name. Bullet is RE and RE is Bullet.Specs & LaunchComing back to Hunter, the Retro variant only gets a disc at front and single-channel ABS. It gets spoked wheels, halogen bulbs all around, oval indicators, and classic analog instrument clusters. Hunter Metro, however, gets 270 mm disc at the rear and dual-channel ABS. It gets alloys, LED tail lamp, round indicators, and Meteor’s instrument cluster. Hunter 350 gets a seat height of 800mm, while ground clearance is at 150mm and fuel tank capacity is 13 liters.Royal Enfield Hunter 350Hunter 350 gets the same J-platform that’s currently doing duties in Classic 350 and Meteor 350. It has a twin downtube spine frame, telescopic front forks and twin rear shocks. Hunter is also powered by the same 349cc motor that makes 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Royal Enfield will launch Hunter 350 on 7th of August, 2022. When launched, it will lock horns with recently launched mixed-bag, TVS Ronin, Bajaj Dominar 250 and also the upcoming Bajaj-Triumph motorcycle. More

The Japanese brand may not be highest-selling motorcycle company in India, but is the highest-selling scooter brand. With 2,85,691 units sold in June 2022, Honda is the second highest-selling 2-wheeler brand in the country, after Hero. But if we break down Honda’s sales, it sold 1,84,305 Activa in June 2022. But Dio is not that high up the list with just 26,450 units sold in the same month. So, to spruce up sales figures, Honda has launched a new Sports limited edition of Dio.Honda Dio Sports EditionDio was already a swaggy alternative to the conventional scooter, that is Activa. But with the new Dio Sports, Honda is adding a little more swag. For starters, Dio Sports is a limited edition and comes in two colours, Strontium Silver Metallic with Black and Sports Red with Black. Both these colours are offered with both Standard & Deluxe variants. Aiming at the youth, Honda wants to revolutionize style for youth with an aggressive and sporty vibe.In terms of changes, Dio Sports gets a few. To begin with, it gets new funky and youthful graphics on body panels. The rear suspension springs for its twin shockers are now finished in red. Suspension hardware is the same, though. Next change in line is only applicable to the Deluxe variant and that is the new 5-spoke alloy wheels. Earlier Dio Deluxe variants used to get gold-coloured steel wheels. Other notable features include an integrated dual function switch, external fuel lid, passing switch and side stand indicator (with engine cut-off). It gets telescopic suspension at the front. A glaring omission on a sporty scooter is the absence of disc brakes even as an option. It also gets a combi-brake system (CBS) with equalizer and 3-step adjustable rear suspension along with a 3-Step Eco Indicator for better fuel efficiency. The external fuel filler lid is a godsend feature that upcoming Hero 125cc scooter misses out on.In terms of pricing, Honda Dio Sports limited edition prices start from Rs. 68,317 for the base Standard trim and go all the way to Rs. 73,317 for top-spec Deluxe variant (prices ex-sh). Niceties like LED headlights, LED DRLs and alloy wheels are only exclusive to Deluxe variant. Dio Sports compete with other 110cc scooters like Hero Pleasure +, TVS Scooty Zest 110, TVS Jupiter 110, and Honda’s own Activa. More

New Honda Formidable Big Wing Exclusive Teaser – Forza 350cc Scooter ?

Honda Big Wing dealer network is only found in select big cities exclusive to selling premium productsHonda Forza 350cc – MotoBikeHonda India has set to launch a new product in the country on 8th August 2022. As the launch is nearing, Honda has been generating good buzz around the product. Now, Honda Motorcycles & Scooters India Ltd has released another teaser for its upcoming Big Wing launch. This new teaser gives out some speculations which favour our previous conclusions.Big Wing products don’t really contribute much to the sales charts. The current cheapest Big Wing offering is CB350 and it sold 2,120 units in India and exported 1,500 units to global markets. But Honda is set to launch a new Big Wing product on 8th of August, 2022. Described as the “Formidable”, let’s break it down to see what’s what.Honda India New Teaser – The FormidableHonda’s new teaser reveals some of the attributes of its upcoming launch. Since it is a Big Wing exclusive, we can discard budget and mid-range products altogether. Looking at the teaser, Honda is hinting us that its upcoming launch premium product will have a fierce design, fast acceleration, furious stance, a fighter attitude and fearless performance. It can’t be CB350 Brigade as registration status still says “Formalities check pass”.The teaser gives out urban vibes and stresses sophistication and power. We can also see a highway tribute too. The main highlight of this product will be city commutes and occasional highway stretches. It will also signify performance and presence. Looking at these attributes, we strongly believe that it will be a Forza 350 maxi scooter. Because the way Honda signifies the letter ‘F’ is reminiscent of Forza 350. Due to Urban vibes from the teaser, we can strike out CRF300L off-roader that was recently spotted in India.[embedded content][embedded content]Because it is a Big Wing exclusive, the possibility of it being 150cc or lower, is pretty meek. But it is highly likely to be the Forza 350 that is sold in select markets globally. Forza maxi scooter is not exactly a new thing for Big Wing dealers in Gurugram. Forza 350 is the logical successor for Forza 300 which was sold in India too. Only four of them were sold to customers in India. What To Expect?New Honda Forza 350 made its first appearance at the Bangkok International Motor Show last year and looked mostly similar to the Forza 300. The new maxi scooter is powered by a 330cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine replacing the 279cc engine from Forza 300.This unit is capable enough to churn out 28.8bhp at 7,500 RPM and 31.5Nm of torque at 5,250 RPM. Honda has given it a lighter crankshaft, larger valves and a bigger throttle body. All these upgrades allow it to clock a top speed of 137 kmph.New Honda Forza ScooterIn terms of features, it gets a full LED lighting setup and an electrically adjustable windshield with a travel of 180mm. It also gets Honda’s Selectable Torque Control (HSTC). Forza 350 rides on a 15” front wheel and a 14” rear wheel and is offered with disc brakes on both ends with dual-channel ABS as standard.Suspension duties are carried out by telescopic forks in front and twin shocks at rear. Forza 350 weighs just a little over 180kg. Launch price could be in the Rs 2.5 lakh range. At this price, it competes with newly launched Vieste 300 and Sixties 300i premium scooters from Benelli Keeway. More

New GT Electric Scooter Launch Price Rs 50k – No License, No Registration

GT Force prices start from Rs. 49,996 for GT Soul and go all the way to Rs. 59,800 for GT OneNew Electric ScootersGT Force is another electric scooter startup that is established with a goal of revolutionizing electric 2W segment in India. Even though Indian electric scooter startups have been on the rise, this unregulated segment has seen a lot of mishaps like fire hazards as manufacturers cheap out on battery tech. For starters, GT Force has launched two new electric scooters, GT Soul and GT One. They have been launched in the ‘slow speed’ category. This means, the top speed of both these electric scooters is limited to 25 kmph.Slow-speed category electric scooters come with certain benefits though. First, a user need not be above the age of 18. Second, the electric scooter doesn’t need any registration at the RTO. Third, a rider need not have a license either. Lastly, they don’t have large batteries and powerful motors and hence are light in weight and also light on the pocket.GT Soul Electric ScooterGT Soul is priced at Rs. 49,996 (ex-sh). It aims at serving short-distance travel needs and clocks a top speed of 25 km/h. GT Soul is available with both Lead 48V 28Ah and Lithium 48V 24Ah batteries. Claimed range is 50-60 kms on Lead and 60-65 kms on Lithium per charge. It has a BLDC motor and is built on a tubular frame.GT Soul Electric ScooterWith less battery capacity, comes less weight. GT Soul weighs just 95kg and has a loading capacity of 130 kg. It has a seat height of 760mm and 185 mm ground clearance. Other key features include central locking with anti-theft alarm, parking mode, and reverse mode. It is available in Red, Black, White, and Silver colours too.GT One Electric ScooterGT One, however, is priced at Rs. 59,800 (ex-sh). This is also launched in the slow-speed category, prioritising short-distance travel with a top speed of 25km/h. Just like GT Soul, GT One also gets both Lead 48V 24Ah and Lithium 48V 28Ah batteries.GT Force claims a range of 50-60kms on Lead and 60-65kms on Lithium per charge. It has a BLDC motor and is built on a tubular frame. Additionally, GT One includes a front hydraulic and telescopic rear double shocker with dual-tube technology for the rider’s comfort.GT One Electric ScooterGT One’s weight is not disclosed by the company. It has a loading capacity of 140 kg. It has a seat height of 725mm, and 155 mm ground clearance. But due to GT One’s higher price tag, it gets a little more goodies than GT Soul. Additional features include mobile charging and a cruise control system. GT One is available in Matt Red, Black, White, and Silver colours. Both products have an 18-month motor warranty, a one-year lead battery warranty, and a three-year lithium-ion battery warranty. In India, GT-Force has already expanded its distributor network to 80 cities, clocking over 100 dealerships. With a monthly production capacity of 5,000 units, the electric vehicle start-up claim a strong presence in Maharashtra, Karnataka, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Rajasthan among other states. What do you think? Would you consider buying an EV from a startup or from an established manufacturer? More
