2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 450 – Side, Rear View Spied

Just like Scram 411 and its ADV sibling, Royal Enfield Scram 450 will share most of the equipment list with upcoming Himalayan 450Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Scram SpiedLaunching Scram 411, a road-friendly version of Himalayan, was a good strategy to target users with limited off-roading needs. Scram 411 also works for folks who just want an adventure-style bike for their urban commutes. Another plus for Scram 411 is its affordable price in comparison to Himalayan. As Royal Enfield is developing a more capable version of Himalayan, it is natural that its Scram version will also be launched. While Himalayan 450 will use the extra power to conquer more challenging trails, Scram 450 will utilize it for faster acceleration and higher top speeds on wide open roads. Although both bikes will have the same engine, there could be small tweaks in tuning to suit Scram 450’s urban scrambler profile.2023 Royal Enfield Himalayan Scram 450 SpiedRetro theme is clearly evident in features such as round headlamp and rear view mirrors and tear-drop shaped fuel tank. Scram 450 is likely to get a circular instrument pod. Tripper navigation could be available as an optional feature. The bike has bare minimum body panelling, which will make it lighter than Himalayan 450. It also ensures a sporty look and feel.A test mule of Himalayan 450 spotted recently was seen with dedicated racks close to the fuel tank. In the case of Scram 450, luggage carrying equipment won’t be a standard feature. Being lighter, Scram 450 will have a higher power to weight ratio.Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 Scram SpiedEven with a long wheelbase, Himalayan Scram 450 can be seen deftly negotiating the busy city streets. Making it possible are features such as low seat height and raised, pulled-back handlebars. Riding stance is quite comfortable with scooped up seat and centrally placed footpegs.Other key features of Scram 450 include sharp turn signals, fork gaiters, telescopic forks, engine bash plate, monoshock rear suspension and sporty tail section. The bike has disc brakes at both ends and dual-channel ABS will be offered as standard. Wide rear tyre should help improve safety at high speeds, when braking and across slippery conditions.Scram 450 performanceScram 450 will be utilizing the same engine as that of upcoming Himalayan 450. One of the key reasons for developing a 450cc version of Himalayan is to fix performance limitations, as pointed out by hardcore off-road enthusiasts. Himalayan 411 makes 24.3 bhp of max power and 32 Nm of peak torque, which is significantly less than KTM 390 Adventure that churns out 43.5 PS and 37 Nm. Royal Enfield will be looking to bridge this gap in performance with Himalayan 450 model. While Himalayan 450 is expected to debut around Q1, CY23, Scram 450 will be launched a few months later. It will be more affordable, priced likely at around Rs 2.60 lakh. In comparison, Himalayan 450 could be offered at a starting price of Rs 2.80 lakh. With lower pricing, Scram 450 could miss out on features such as GPS navigation, ride-by-wire tech and ride modes. These features are likely to be offered with Himalayan 450.Source More

Yamaha R3 And R7 Get Updated With New Colours – India Launch ?

Yamaha R3 used to be sold in India with BS4 engine and couldn’t make the switch over to BS6 emission norms2023 Yamaha R3 New ColourYamaha India used to offer big bikes with high-capacity engines before. We used to get a lot of premium and enthusiast motorcycles of various genres and price segments. But now, the most expensive bike Yamaha sells in India is the 150cc YZF-R15M V4. At Rs.1.8 lakh (ex-sh), it is in no way justified for its ridiculous pricing. We can’t tell you why Yamaha’s big bikes are not on sale in India currently. But what we can tell you is that Yamaha seems to be making a comeback. We understand that since the launch of Royal Enfield 650 twins, 500cc+ segment is kinda one sided owing to their outstanding value. But there is a place for sporty Japs too.2023 Yamaha R3 & R7 Gets New ColoursEven though Yamaha’s higher-capacity YZF-R bikes are not offered in India, they are in huge demand in North American, European and even South East Asian markets too. Especially the liter-class R1. In America, JDM culture has been evolving at a rapid pace and Japanese motorcycles are gaining popularity too. So, Yamaha has introduced new colours for YZF-R7 and YZF-R3 in America.Yamaha R3 has been one of the favourites of supersport machine enthusiasts in India. It offered a decent bang for the buck and competed with the Kawasaki Ninja 300 which started this segment, to begin with. After it was discontinued due to stricter emission norms, it was due for a comeback. But that has not happened yet. New R3 India launch is expected by Diwali this year.2023 Yamaha R3 New ColourIn USA, R3 now gets a glossy Phantom Purple colour shade that looks outstanding. Looks wise, new R3 gets an aerodynamic shape and sharp aesthetics, largely inspired by MotoGP YZR-M1. It gets twin LED headlights, a central air duct for instant engine cooling, a compact, yet functional windscreen, RVMs and turn indicators mounted on fairing, a sporty fuel tank, sporty seats and an upswept exhaust. R3 is powered by a 321cc liquid-cooled DOHC twin-cylinder engine that generates 40.4 bhp and 29.4 Nm of torque. It gets a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.New Yamaha R7 ColourYamaha R7 is the successor of the mighty and beloved R6. R7 is a little disappointing when directly compared to R6. We say this because the R6 had a screamer of a 4-cylinder engine. It had the perfect ratio of capacity to cylinder count ensuring the best of both touring and also sporty track days. But R7 is just a twin-cylinder and can’t match the outright manic performance of a 4-cylinder.So, while R7 loses on raw performance, it also loses weight as twin-cylinder engines are generally lighter. For America, Yamaha has added Intensity White colour that is jaw-dropping in terms of appeal. There’s something about white colour that tickles the fancy of buyers. Even BMW charges Rs. 20,000 more for a white-coloured Apache RR 310.New Yamaha R7 White ColourIntensity White also gets red coloured wheels that just add more drama to the machine. Yamaha is expected to bring this R7 to our shores too. But that might happen in 2023. While R3 may launch in India around Diwali. When launched, we hope Yamaha offers these colours at least as an option. More

Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Is No 1 Motorcycle In The UK – Above 125cc

Meteor 350 has been the flag bearer for RE motorcycles based on the modern J-Series platformModified Royal Enfield MeteorRoyal Enfield has been synonymous with retro and classic motorcycles that evoke a certain nostalgia. Especially in India where most people buy an Enfield because their family used to own one or they aspired to own one. Other brands have tried to create this sense of nostalgia that RE evokes, but have not managed so far.Meteor 350 was an important launch by the Chennai-based company. Before Meteor 350, Royal Enfileds got UCE engines that were notorious for their spine-shattering vibrations. Since Meteor 350 launched in 2020, Royal Enfield has introduced a new J-series engine that gets overhead cams and balancer shafts for a vibe-free experience. Now Royal Enfield has launched Hunter 350 which is priced at a lower price segment than Meteor 350. But how does Meteor 350 fare in international markets? Let’s find out.Royal Enfield Meteor 350 UK SalesRoyal Enfield bikes are made in Chennai. It is from here they are sold across India, and also across various global markets like Europe, North America and more. The brand is also well known in Britain too. Meteor 350 was on sale in Britain and has achieved something remarkable. From January 2022 to July 2022, Royal Enfield Meteor 350 UK Sales stood at 1,135 units in Britain. While doing so, it has become the best-selling motorcycle in the above 125cc segment.Meteor 350 has appealed to 1,135 British people in the course of seven months and while doing so, dethroned BMW R 1250 GS ADV which had been in that spot for a very long time. Hero Splendor is standing over there in the corner, flexing that it can sell more bikes than that in the business hours of a single day in India. While Meteor 350 took 7 months to do so in Britain. That’s not the point, but okay.New Royal Enfield Meteor 350 Supernova RedRoyal Enfield has been ecstatic about this achievement in Britain. They have established a strong global presence with models like Himalayan, Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. Meteor has been on sale in most global markets since 2021 and has been making Royal Enfield retro classic charm more accessible to a wider audience.Specs & PriceRoyal Enfield Meteor 350 is powered by the modern JD1 engine that also does duty on other 350 cc bikes like Classic 350, Hunter 350 and will also power the upcoming Bullet 350. It is a modern and potent engine that displaces 349 cc and gets modern features like oil cooling and finally getting rid of pushrods in favour of a smoother SOHC setup. This engine makes 20.4 PS at 6100 RPM and 27 Nm at 4000 RPM. Meteor 350 comes with disc brakes at both fronts tied with a dual-channel ABS system and weighs 191 kg. Even though Meteor 350 is also very popular in India, Royal Enfield Classic 350 is the highest-selling classic bike in India. It is a cruiser and hence also gets cruising-friendly accessories fitted as standard in higher variants. Speaking of variants, Royal Enfield Hunter 350 prices start from Rs. 2.05 lakh for Fireball and goes till Rs. 2.21 lakh for Supernova variant (both prices ex-sh). In Britain, Meteor 350 prices start from GBP 3,879 (approx Rs. 3.66 lakh) for Fireball and go till GBP 4,039 (approx Rs. 3.81 lakh) for Supernova.Source More

2023 Bajaj Pulsar N125 Spied – New 125cc Rival To Raider, Glamour

After launching the new gen versions of Pulsar N250 and N160, Bajaj is now getting ready to launch N125 new gen2023 Bajaj Pulsar N125 SpiedBajaj is on the verge of restructuring the company’s Pulsar lineup. Launch of Pulsar F250, N250 and more recently the N160, reflects this. Bajaj has filed new trademarks for Pulsar Eleganz, Pulsar Elan and Twinner in India. Now, we have managed to get our hands on spy shots of Pulsar N125 under testing with heavy camouflage. A total of two test mules were spied together. They were spotted testing in Alibaug, Maharashtra, credits to Bhargav Mhatre. Let’s take a look at the new updates.2023 Bajaj Pulsar N125 SpiedFrom the looks of it, we can speculate that it is the Pulsar N125. We say this because it looks like it has a smaller 125cc mill. This engine might be shared with Pulsar 125 and Pulsar NS125. The engine also looks like it is only air-cooled as it doesn’t have any oil-cooling equipment installed on the motorcycle. It is expected to make around 11.6 bhp of power and 10.8 Nm of torque. In terms of looks, it looks similar to the recently launched Pulsar N160 and the bigger N250. As a result, the fuel tank and muscular shrouds look like they are identical to bigger Pulsar N250’s proportions making it look macho. The tail section is reminiscent of the Pulsar N160 and N250 with twin LED tail lights. But it gets an old-fashioned grab handle instead of the split unit on the former.2023 Bajaj Pulsar N125 SpiedOther similarities with Pulsar N160 include the same instrument cluster, projector headlight, LED DRLs, handlebars, turn indicators, mirrors, and a lot more. What about differences? You might ask. There are a few. Apart from a single-piece grab handle, Pulsar N125 test mule gets a single-piece seat, a small cowl above the instrument cluster, drum brake at the rear, skinny rear tyre, and a telescopic front suspension and not a lot more. The rider on the test bike seems to have a neutral seating position. Rider’s footpegs seem to be centrally set. This will provide an excellent rider’s triangle for city commutes as well as the occasional highway cruise.Launch Plans?Bajaj Auto seems to be expanding its 125cc portfolio. We recently spotted new CT 125X at a showroom recently. Then they have the Pulsar 125 and Pulsar NS125. At the pricier end of their 125cc range, we will get this, Pulsar N125, which might replace the existing Pulsar NS125. More info regarding this will be provided by Bajaj Auto in the coming months.Pulsar 125 is the second-highest selling 125cc motorcycle in India after the Honda Shine 125. But as seen in the sales charts, Pulsar’s 125cc lineup is declining slightly on MoM basis. Pulsar N125 might be enough to jump-start it back up, right? Exact pricing is not yet known. But Pulsar N125 is likely to cost around the same as NS125. When launched, it will compete with Honda CB Shine, TVS Raider, Hero Glamour and the likes. Pulsar N125 is likely to launch in 2023. More

New Ola S1 Electric Scooter Vs S1 PRO, Ather, Chetak, iQube – Specs

Ola S1 gets the same frame, body, design, most of its features, and other hardware as the pricier S1 ProOla S1 Electric ScooterOla has had one of the most successful electric scooter lineups. When we say lineups, we mean S1 and S1 pro electric scooters that were supposed to launch on 15th August last year. But when reality struck, Ola resorted to just launching S1 Pro and slating S1 for another date. Ola did this in an attempt to first sell its flagship feature-loaded product to create a baseline and to draw more customers. That another date came exactly a year after S1 Pro was launched in India and in yesterday’s event, S1 was launched. Due to rise in production costs, Ola S1 Pro now costs around Rs. 1.4 lakh depending upon the city and state government subsidies. So, a Rs. 1 lakh electric scooter was paramount for Ola as competition from Ather, TVS, Chetak and Simple Energy is intensifying by the day. Hence Ola S1 launched.Heck, even Honda is coming to this electric scooter segment with an Electric Activa. Honda’s entry into this segment will definitely disrupt it. Because of its battery swapping tech, Honda’s electric scooter would cost significantly less as batteries are rented and not owned. Also, the battery can be swapped to a fully charged one in a minute.Ola S1 Vs RivalsAt a passing glance, S1 is virtually indistinguishable from S1 Pro. But S1 Pro gets a large 3.9 kWh battery while S1 only makes do with a 3 kWh pack. The motor still makes the same 5.5 kW peak power and 58 Nm torque. But with the smaller battery, range is also reduced. S1 can now cover 141 km while S1 Pro is certified with 181 km. This is nothing when compared to up to 300 km on Simple One. Both iQube and 450X gen 3 offer around 140 km certified range while Chetak only gets 95 km.New Ola S1 Vs RivalsDespite the arrival of Simple One, both S1 and S1 Pro still make the highest continuous power of this comparo at 5,500W. Followed by TVS iQube rated at 4,400W and Chetak at 4,080W. In terms of rated power, Ather is middle of the road at 3,300W. When it comes to peak torque, though, Simple One absolutely decimates its rivals with 72 Nm. Followed by 58 Nm with both S1 and S1 Pro, 33 Nm of iQube, 26 Nm of 450X gen3 and lastly, we have Chetak with just 16 Nm.New Ola S1 Vs RivalsWhen it comes to flexing battery sizes, there’s no beating Simple One and iQube as both of their battery packs cross the 4 kWh mark. Simple One gets a 3.3 kWh fixed battery as well as an optional removable 1.5 kWh battery too taking the total capacity to 4.8 kWh. Top-spec iQube gets a fixed 4.56 kWh battery. Followed by S1 Pro with 3.9 kWh, 450X gen 3 with 3.7 kWh. While both Chetak and S1 get a 3 kWh battery pack.Speed & SpecsThe comparo doesn’t end there. Even though the Simple One has the most torque, it is not the fastest. That crown still goes to Ola S1 Pro which can touch 115 km/h. Then comes Simple One with 105 km/h followed by S1 with 90 km/h, iQube with 82 km/h, while both 450X gen3 and Chetak can touch 80 km/h.New Ola S1 Vs RivalsWhen we look at the weight, Chetak is the heaviest at 132 kg, followed by iQube with 128 kg, both Ola S1 and S1 Pro weigh around 125 kg and then comes 450X weighing at 111.6 kg and Simple One being the lightest at 110 kg. Of this bunch, Chetak seems to be the most uninspiring as it doesn’t get any gizmos that others get and also is lagging behind rivals in almost every aspect. Prices for EVs vary from city to city and state subsidies which vary across states. Visit the company’s websites for final pricing. More

Royal Enfield Meteor 650cc Spied – Massive Street Presence

With its comfy ergonomics and heavyweight profile, Meteor 650 looks ready for effortless cruising on wide open roadsRoyal Enfield Meteor 650cc SpiedKeeping its promise of introducing an average of 4 new/updated products every year, Royal Enfield has already launched Scram 411 and Hunter 350 this year. While Scram 411 was launched in March at a starting price of Rs 2.03 lakh, Hunter 350 was launched earlier this month at a starting price of Rs 1.50 lakh. Hunter is currently the most affordable motorcycle in Royal Enfield’s portfolio. As 350cc and 400cc segments have been covered with these new products, the next launch could be in the 650cc segment. Most likely possibility is Meteor 650, which has been spotted in production ready format. October seems to be an apt time for Meteor 650 launch, as this period marks the peak of the festive season. The bike could be launched at a starting price of around Rs 3.35 lakh.Royal Enfield Meteor 650 SpiedWhile the ‘Haathi Mat Palo’ campaign tried its best to influence popular perceptions, it appears that the elephant doesn’t really care. And if sales data is any indication, it seems the least impacted by attempts at body shaming. The journey continues with Meteor 650 that has huge proportions and seems to dwarf most other two-wheelers in the vicinity. Especially when the streets here are largely populated with entry-level commuter scooters and motorcycles. Take a look at the latest spy video of Royal Enfield Meteor 650 which was shared on Rushlane Spylane by Gokul Raju.[embedded content][embedded content]While Meteor 650’s massive size may be a constraint across busy city streets, it will be real fun to ride on highways and open roads. The bike looks pretty heavy, which should be able to support high-speed cruising of 100-120 kmph and above. Making it possible will be components such as USD front forks, dual rear shock absorbers and wide block pattern rear tyre for optimal traction. The bike has disk brakes at both ends, integrated with dual-channel ABS as standard. And then, there’s the powerful 648cc air/oil-cooled parallel twin motor that does duty on Interceptor and Continental GT. It generates 47 hp of max power at 7,150 rpm and 52 Nm of peak torque at 5,250 rpm. It is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox.
