2023 Hero Xtreme 160 Spied For First Time – Pulsar, Apache Rival

While Hero is at the cusp of starting a new chapter by embracing e-mobility, it is also working on a new crop of flagship products2023 Hero Xtreme 160 SpiedNot long ago, a small fleet of camouflaged medium-displacement Hero prototypes with adventure tourer and supersport body styles were spotted testing in the mountains. It led to speculation that the two wheeler giant is working on 300 cc versions of its existing 200 cc nameplates like Xpulse and Xtreme. This was quickly followed by reports that these new models are powered by a 421 cc single-cylinder. Either way, it is obvious that Hero Motocorp is busy developing a medium displacement family of products in a bid to expand its horizons in the mid-premium segment.2023 Hero Xtreme 160 Spied TestingApart from developing all new motorcycles, Hero is also working on updating their existing range of motorcycles. Test mules of what is believed to be of new gen Hero Xtreme 160R, have been spied for the first time in Jaipur, Rajasthan. From what can be seen, the motorcycle’s styling conforms to the conventional street bike trend. By that we mean small LED taillight, bulky fuel tank with prominent cladding, minimal panels around the headlamp (most likely to be an LED unit), a rectangular fully digital instrument console and reasonably thick tyres.2023 Hero Xtreme 160 SpiedWhile the mid-displacement range of Hero motorcycles that was spied earlier was seen sporting inverted telescopic front forks, the Xtreme 160R new gen continues with traditional telescopic setup. Engine is likely to be updated to deliver better performance and mileage. In its current setup, the 163cc unit delivers 15 bhp and 14 Nm via 5 speed transmission. As far as the features are concerned, LED lighting, digital instrument console, alloy wheels, dual-channel ABS and smartphone connectivity are almost certain.On-paper specs and equipment list aside, Hero’s biggest trump card in a field full of very competent products is its network reach. But that has not helped them gain market share against the likes of arch rivals Bajaj Pulsar and TVS Apache. With the launch of new gen Xtreme 160, Hero will likely bring in some segment first updates to boost sales. When is it coming? In the short term future, Hero Motocorp is going to be busy establishing its recently launched Vida electric sub-brand which is crucial for its long term sustainability. Expect to see the new Xtreme 160R at the Auto Expo early next year. Until then, we expect regular public appearances of the test mules with more info about the specs trickling in. More

New Ola Electric Scooter Under Rs 80k – Launch On 22nd Oct

With a lower price tag, Ola sub Rs 80K scooter is likely to get fewer features in contrast with Ola S1 electric scooterImage For ReferenceOla Electric is one of the highest-selling premium e-scooters. India being one of the largest 2W markets in the world, electric revolution has not taken a back seat at all. In fact, 2W EVs are ramping up at a constant pace. While Indian Government has a hand in that growth owing to the FAME II subsidies that nudged people towards EVs.Even though the Government has extended the FAME II Scheme till 31st March 2024, 2W EV manufacturers should take a step towards affordable products. With Hero Vida and Honda likely to come to this arena soon, competition will intensify considerably. Products that come out victorious are likely to be inexpensive ones.Ola Sub Rs 80K e-ScooterWith S1, which was launched on August 15th, Ola offered most of its flagship-worthy features with a Rs. 99,999 product. With ever-growing competition, Ola seems to announce a sub Rs. 80,000 electric scooter on Diwali.Ola CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal, took to social media to announce the launch date – set for 22nd Oct. He expresses his excitement by saying that “Planned something BIG for our launch event this month!” He further stated that he “Will accelerate the #EndICEAge revolution by at least 2 years”.Our Diwali event will be on 22nd Oct. One of the biggest announcements ever from Ola. See you soon! pic.twitter.com/389ntUnsDe— Bhavish Aggarwal (@bhash) October 8, 2022Ola is aiming to launch one of the most affordable premium electric scooters in the country. And the pricing for that electric scooter is likely to fall below Rs 80K. Aggarwal didn’t impart further details pertaining to this new “BIG” launch. Whatever it is, will take electric scooter sales further, according to Ola Electric. What To Expect? With lower cost, lower specs and lower features are immediately evident. Since this new product costs less than Ola S1 electric scooter, one can expect less features too. S1 already packs fewer features in contrast with S1 Pro. This upcoming product is likely to reflect a similar strategy and take on existing competition like Ather, Simple, Okinawa, TVS, Chetak and current segment leader Hero Electric and the likes, along with upcoming Hero Vida and Honda electric scooters.Ola S1 deliveries started from September 7th across the country. It packs a 3 kWh battery pack worth of juice. This is smaller than S1 Pro’s battery pack which has 4 kWh worth of juice in it. Even with a smaller battery Ola S1 promises 141 km of range from a single charge. Motor is the same as S1 Pro and is pretty much up there with other premium electric scooters.Ola CEO Bhavish Aggarwal AnnouncementOla sub Rs 80K electric scooter may get similar specifications as S1 or slightly lower, owing to its lower price tag. Ola will divulge further details at their event this month. But, speculations revolving around the product suggest similar specs as Ola S1, with fewer features along with it due to the lower price tag of Rs 80K. More

Now, we have spotted a Keeway SR125 alongside Sixties 300i at the showroom. So, is it an indication of a launch in the cards? Keeway or its sales partner AARI have not issued any statements regarding this development.Keeway 125cc Spied At Dealer ShowroomKeeway’s benefactor QJMotor has a slew of 125cc vehicles in the form of scooters and commuters at its home turf, China. Yezdi Roadking 250cc Restored, Looks Stunning – Old Vs Modified

The motorcycle has a 250cc 2-stroke single-cylinder engine with an integrated gear shifter / kick starter and dual exhaustsYezdi Old To New ModificationThe logical successor of Yezdi Oilking, Roadking was or is one of the most iconic motorcycles India ever witnessed. It was produced by Ideal Jawa Ltd, based out of Mysuru, Karnataka. Yezdi Roadking was in production since 1978 and with low demand, production ended in 1996.Towards the end of its life cycle, Yezdi Roadking had secured a permanent spot in the heart of its owners. With the dawn of 4-stroke era, 2-stroke motorcycles saw their demise. New replaces old. But that doesn’t hold true for everyone. There are people who go to great lengths to restore the motorcycle that plays with their heartstrings. Let’s take a look at one such person that got his Yezdi Roadking restored with many efforts.Yezdi Roadking RestoredOwner of this restored motorcycle is a cousin of YouTuber Mundodi Vlogs. He explains all the hassles that were involved in this process. He further explains how availability of parts quality is extremely scarce as production stopped decades ago. This robs the joy of restoring such classics. He detailed the painstaking processes involving multiple tinkering and metalworking jobs. Most of its body parts had rusted. The part that took the most hit due to rust was its fuel tank. Take a look at the walkaround video of Yezdi Roadking restored below.[embedded content][embedded content]It adversely affected its carburetor and fueling as well. Before restoration, this bike was DOA as its electrical harness was feasted upon by rats. The rake of the steering has been reduced which reduced the overall length and wheelbase too.The brakes were completely jammed and both front and rear suspensions were not functioning. With everything sorted out, the parts were restored to their original condition. Yezdi Roadking restored looks like it came right out of the factory and is real eye candy for classic bike enthusiasts.Specs & FeaturesYezdi Roadking is based on a single cradle chassis with square tubing instead of round. This chassis was believed to be very balanced, stable and agile. It has a racing heritage to it too. Yezdi Roadking is based on CZ 250 which was ridden by Jaroslav Falta who secured runner-up spot in 1974 Motocross World Championship. This bike won several Indian road races and rallies as well.Restored Yezdi RoadkingIt is powered by a 250cc 2-stroke single-cylinder engine with a dual exhaust setup. It was considered to be technologically advanced as it featured a semi-automatic clutch and Jawa / CZ’s trademark gear shifter / kick starter. Even with a 16L fuel tank, Yezdi Roadking only weighed 144 kg wet. Transmitting the engine’s power to the wheels is a 4-speed gearbox.Parts availability and good workmanship are what is dragging the restoration industry down. Parts of certain classic 2-stroke motorcycles are not readily available unlike Yamaha RX 100, which is still supported by the company. Speaking of RX 100, Yamaha has announced its comeback in the near future. Yezdi currently sells Roadster, Scrambler and Adventure. Do you think Classic Legends should revive the Roadking name? More
