TVS Ronin 225 Price Reduced By Rs 15k – New Price Rs 1.35 Lakh

TVS Ronin 225 PriceWith a neo-retro Roadster design language, TVS Ronin strikes a unique approach to motorcycling backed by premium componentry and features
India’s leading 2W and 3W vehicle manufacturing brand, TVS Motor, is ushering into the festive season by offering revised prices on select products. Yesterday, we covered the price revision of TVS Raider 125 by up to Rs 13,000 in savings. Today, let’s take a look at the price revision of TVS Ronin ahead of the festive season.
    TVS Ronin Price Cut
Interestingly, similar terms and conditions are not seen on TVS Ronin’s price revision. The company seems to have slashed the prices of Ronin and the base Ronin SS variant now starts from Rs 1.35 lakh (Ex-sh). When opposed to pre-revision prices, Ronin SS is now more affordable by up to Rs 15,000 (Ex-sh). Hat tip to automotive enthusiast Yashraj for sharing this update.
    TVS Ronin Price Cut
However, not all the variants get the same price revision. In fact, none of the other variants seems to get any price revisions at all. Variants like the Ronin DS, Ronin TD and Ronin TD Special Edition still cost more or less the same as they did before.
The price difference between base Ronin SS and Ronin DS (one above base) used to be Rs 7,500. With the price revision from TVS Motor, the price difference between Ronin SS and Ronin DS is Rs 21,700, which is very interesting.
MS Dhoni taking delivery of his new motorcycle – TVS Ronin
We say interesting because the Rs 21,700 (Ex-sh) upgrade over Ronin SS to Ronin DS still doesn’t get dual-channel ABS. For that, one has to choose Ronin TD. An upgrade that costs around Rs 34K over base Ronin SS. With the new pricing, TVS can now better position Ronin against Royal Enfield Hunter 350, undercutting it by Rs 15K.
    Any other changes?
Apart from the pricing for the base variant, there are no changes on TVS Ronin. The motorcycle continues to be equipped with USD telescopic front forks in gold shade, 7-step preload adjustable rear mono-shock, 17-inch alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, a 2,040 mm wheelbase, LED headlight with T-shaped LED DRL and a fully-digital instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity among others.
TVS Ronin is powered by a 225.9cc SOHC 4V oil-cooled single-cylinder engine that generates 20.4 PS of peak power and 19.93 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Except for a few attributes like dual-channel ABS, TVS Ronin SS base variant gets most of the features as standard, making it a better value proposition than RE Hunter 350 at Rs 1.35 lakh (Ex-sh).

    Yamaha New Teaser Shows R7, Tenere 700, NMax 155, XSR155, MT-09 – Launch Confirmed?

Yamaha New Teaser – Call Of The Blue 4.0 AnthemAs seen in India Yamaha Motor’s Call Of The Blue 4.0 anthem, the company seems to be hinting XSR155, R7, Tenere 700, MT-09 and NMax 155 launch
Even though Yamaha has an extensive motorcycle and scooter lineup globally, Indian market does not get all of those models. The company’s latest launches are MT-03 and YZF-R3 (last gen). Now, India Yamaha Motor’s new Call Of The Blue 4.0 teaser shows a Tenere 700, NMax 155, XSR155 and an MT-09. Are these launching soon?
    Yamaha New Teaser
For a very long time, India Yamaha Motor sold a 150cc motorcycle as its flagship offering. Sure, the R3 and MT-03 launched some time ago fixed that commotion. However, alongside MT-03 and R3, Yamaha had also showcased R7, MT-07 and MT-09 to select dealers. Only the two 300cc duo were launched among these showcases.
    [embedded content]
More recently, Yamaha pavilion at 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo showcased motorcycles like MT-07, R1 and R7 along with scooters like NMax 155 and Grand Filano. It was interesting to see MT-09 not showcased at Bharat Mobility Expo.
However, India Yamaha Motor’s Call Of The Blue 4.0 anthem went live and it was interesting to see a few vehicles in them, which were not on sale in India. It is not that Yamaha populated the anthem with random motorcycles and scooters from its global products. Instead, these are selectively included and are ringing launch bells.
    Yamaha XSR155
    XSR155
While other motorcycles have been showcased in India in the recent past in some way or other, XSR155 is completely new for us. It was surprising to see an XSR 155 in the anthem. It is a neo-retro-styled Roadster motorcycle that packs the same platform and powertrain as an R15. Making it more feasible and probable for Indian market. It is quite a looker and is likely to make a lot of splash if launched.
    Yamaha Tenere 700
    Tenere 700
It is one of the most anticipated big bike launches in India. There have been quite a few rumours surrounding the launch of Tenere 700 in India. It is a true-blue (pun intended) off-roader and will rival the likes of Suzuki V-Strom 800 DE, Honda XL750 Transalp, BMW F850 GS and others. The 689cc parallel-twin engine will make around 75 horses and gets a 16L fuel tank.
    Yamaha R7
    YZF-R7
The spiritual successor of the 4-cylinder R6, Yamaha R7 was showcased twice in India in the recent past. Unlike other vehicles on this list, Yamaha doesn’t show R7 up close, and the only way you can say it is an R7 is by the twin-disc brake setup at the front. A similar engine to Tenere 700 will power R7 as well.
    Yamaha MT-09
    MT-09
The ‘Triple’ from Yamaha, MT-09 was showcased to dealers in India and has good potential to launch in India. It will rival Triumph Triple, Ducati Monster, Kawasaki Z900 and the likes. Packing an 890cc 3-cylinder screamer of an engine with around 120 horses on tap. It features wild styling and exudes an edgy appeal.
    Yamaha NMax 155
    Nmax 155
Showcased at 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo, Yamaha NMax 155 is a maxi-styled scooter with more aerodynamic fairing than Aerox 155 sold in India. Both scooters share the same R15-derived 155cc liquid-cooled engine with VVA. 14 bhp and 14 Nm are good figures for a mainstream scooter in India. More

TVS Raider Price Now Starts At Rs 85k – Rs 10k Lower Than Before

TVS Raider New Starting PriceThe new Rs 84,869 (Ex-sh) base price quoted for TVS Raider 125 is for the drum brake variant
Ever since its launch, TVS Raider 125 has been one of the best-selling motorcycle offerings from TVS Motor. There have been a couple of updates in the form of feature additions along the years to keep the product fresh. Fast forwarding to September 2024, TVS has slashed the entry price of Raider 125 ahead of the festive season. Hat tip to automotive enthusiast Yashraj for sharing this update.
TVS Raider Entry Price Slashed by Rs 10k
Ahead of the festive season, TVS Motor is offering excitement among the 125cc commuter motorcycle buyers. The company has revised pricing of Raider 125 and is now offering at a much lower starting price point. How much lower, one might ask. Raider 125 starts now around Rs 10K lower than before.
    TVS Raider Price
Now starting at an attractive price point of Rs 84,869 (Ex-sh), which is over Rs 10K less than the Rs 95,219 (Ex-sh) starting price before this development. With an asterisk, TVS Motor is claiming that customers can avail up to Rs 13,000 of savings with an exciting ROI (Rate Of Interest) of 5.55%.
It has to be noted that base Rs 84,869 (Ex-sh) is for drum brake variant and top-spec SX trim with all the bells and whistles goes till Rs 1,04,330 (Ex-sh). Other than these revised prices, there are no changes to the actual motorcycle. TVS Raider 125 continues to be offered in Drum, Single-Seat, Split Seat, SSE (Super Squad Edition) and SX variants.
    TVS Raider Festive Pricing
Depending on variant, colour options include Striking Red, Wicked Black, Fiery Yellow, Blazing Blue, Iron Man, Black Panther and Forza Blue. Powertrain is the same 125cc 3V single cylinder oil-cooled unit with 11.13 bhp of peak power and 11.2 Nm of peak torque, mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
    TVS Raider 125 Sales
TVS Raider Sales Decline Last 3 Months – YoY
When it was new, TVS Raider 125 was the most feature-loaded 125cc offering in India. Along the way, sales have been taking a hit recently, with July 2024 witnessing lowest sales of 24,547 units in the last 12 months. August 2024 was a slight improvement. At 26,923 units sold, it was no match to what Raider used to sell before.
    TVS Raider 125 Sales
As seen in the table below, TVS Raider saw the highest sales performance in April 2024 at 51,098 units. In the past three months, June 2024, July 2024 and August 2024, TVS Raider sales are declining with 13%, 33.48% and 36.46% YoY decline, losing 4,459, 12,353 and 15,452 units in volume respectively. The revised pricing should boost sales in the months ahead.

2025 Yamaha X Force Maxi Scooter Debuts With New Design, Colours

2025 Yamaha X Force DebutsJust like the Aerox 155 sold in India, 2025 Yamaha X Force maxi scooter is powered by the YZF-R15 derived 155cc engine with liquid-cooling
When Yamaha announced a 155cc scooter in India, everyone expected it to be the NMax 155 sold globally. But to our surprise, it was the Aerox 155 that landed on our shores. There is a similar maxi-styled scooter that Yamaha sells outside India, the X Force. First debuted in 2022, this seems to be the first update to this scooter.
For MY25, Yamaha has made some changes to this scooter and gave it new colours. Making it a wee bit newer than it used to be. Starting price of this scooter is JPY 407,000 (including taxes), which roughly turns out to be Rs 2.36 lakh in today’s currency conversion rates. Let’s take a look at what’s new.
    2025 Yamaha X Force Debuts
    2025 Yamaha X Force
For starters, Yamaha X Force is a maxi-styled scooter launched in 2022. Unlike the NMax which is sold with two engine options – a 125cc engine known as NMax 125 and a 155cc engine option named NMax 155/160, X Force gets a sole 155cc engine. It is a popular model in Southeast Asian countries.
With the 2025 Yamaha X Force, we get a new set of colours – Matte Dark Blueish Grey Metallic 4 (Matte Dark Green), Matte Yellowish Grey Solid (Matte Beige), Blueish White Pearl (White) and Black Metallic Pearl X (Black). Yamaha X Force has a prominent split headlight design with a bulbous fascia.
    2025 Yamaha X Force Colours
This bulbousness is what lends X Force its commanding road presence, giving big scooter vibes. With the 2025 Yamaha X Force, we get a slightly redesigned rear section that should help in better better managing rain water spray. With this new rear section, length has been increased by 25 mm.
Where componentry is concerned, Yamaha X Force gets disc brakes on both ends with ABS, something that India-spec Yamaha Aerox 155 misses out on. These discs are of petal type, designed for better heat dissipation. X Force’s rear continues to get 4-step adjustable twin shockers.
    2025 Yamaha X Force Rear
There is a large 23.2L under seat storage along with a USB socket to charge the smartphones. A 5.1-inch LCD cluster handles instrumentation duties and also gets smartphone connectivity. 2025 Yamaha X Force continues with the same R15-derived engine makes 14.7 bhp and 14 Nm, similar to Aerox 155’s numbers.
    Should it launch in India?
Some time ago, Yamaha Motor Chairman Eishin Chihana hinted regarding the launch of NMax. The same was also showcased at Yamaha’s pavilion at 2024 Bharat Mobility Expo alongside Grand Filano. Launch of X Force is not confirmed and is less likely to make it to our shores.
    New Yamaha X Force Side
X Force does bring certain caveats too. For starters, it comes with 13” wheels, unlike the 14” wheels on Aerox 155. This reduces ground clearance when compared to Aerox 155’s 145 mm. Except for the wheels, most cycle parts are expected to be similar to Aerox 155 including the engine.

Ola Electric Posts Lowest 2024 Sales In Aug – 80,000 Complaints Per Month, Touches New High

Ola Electric Service Center. Image – Akshay BhatOn an average, Ola Electric receives around 80,000 complaints per month which can sometimes go up to 6,000-7,000 per day
Ola Electric, the Bengaluru based electric scooter manufacturer has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Sales have been dwindling while customer complaints mount to new heights each month. Customers have taken to social media vent their ire in terms of delayed service response with repair wait times ranging from 30 to 45 days.
    Ola Electric Customer Dissatisfaction
One such customer also set the company’s showroom on fire in Kalaburagi city in Karnataka. The customer cited dire lack of support for his recently purchased e-scooter and lower response from the service team. This incident however, caused Rs 8,50,000 worth of damages while luckily no one was hurt during the fire.
Ola Electric Scooter Sales 2024 – Lowest in Aug
A new report reveals, Ola Electric that offers the S1 e-scooter in three variants- S1X (2kWh), S1X and S1X Plus, receives around 80,000 customer complaints per month. It can also go up to 6,000-7,000 per day. In a bid to tackle these grievances, the company has set up a new team with special focus on after sales service operations. This new team consists of employees from other departments such as production and operations.
Ola Electric has sold 6,80,000 electric scooters since its inception. It currently operates via 430 service stations across India. However, with complaints pouring in, the waiting period for repairs stretches to 30-45 days while a lack of customer support has related to much discontentment among customers.
    [embedded content]
One particular customer had his e-scooter stuck at a service center for 2-3 months. He cited issues such as the stand sensor problem that took 3 months to resolve. Other issues such as battery failure, range reduction and wheel jamming were also a part of these complaints. The Delhi service center at Najafgarh Road has been labelled the “graveyard of scooters”. The center is grossly understaffed with only 4 service personnel tackling repairs as against a need for a strength of 10 service teams.
    Ola Electric Lower Sales
Along with growing customer complaints, the company has also reported lower sales in Aug 2024. Its S1 series recorded lowest monthly sales volumes, falling 34% in July 2024 to 27,506 units. Market share of the company also declined to 31% from an earlier 39% share in the electric two wheeler segment. On the other hand, competitors such as Bajaj Auto with the Chetak e-scooter (20% share) and TVS Motor with the iQube (19% share) have cited increased demand.
Despite falling sales and customer complaints, Ola Electric is going full steam ahead in its future endeavours. The company announced its first electric motorcycles the Roadster, offered in Roadster Pro, Roadster, and Roadster X variants. Deliveries are set to commence from next year.
Ola Electric also plans to diversify into the 3 wheeler segment as a test mule of their electric three wheeler rickshaw was spied in Bengaluru for the first time. This e3W will be offered in electric auto rickshaw and electric 3W cargo vehicle and is likely to be called Ola Raahi. Ola Electric also introduced India 4680 ‘Bharat’ battery cell which promises faster charging and more energy storage. This cell is currently under trial production at Ola’s Gigafactory.

Triumph Speed T4 Vs Speed 400 – Specs, Features, Pricing Compared

Triumph Speed T4 Vs Speed 400 MY25With a more affordable version of Triumph Speed range, Speed T4, helps the brand better rival segment leader Royal Enfield Classic 350
The iconic motorcycle manufacturing brand, Triumph Motorcycles, has been actively widening the horizon of its affordable lineup. Just recently, Triumph launched its most affordable offering yet, in the form of Speed T4. Bajaj-Triumph duo has been sharpening its product offensive against Royal Enfield for some time.
Updated MY25 Speed 400 will rival the Guerrilla 450, Speed T4 will rival the just updated Royal Enfield Classic 350. While the obvious rival is Classic 350, there are many changes in Speed T4 when compared to MY25 Speed 400. Let’s look at everything new and different with Speed T4 compared to the updated MY25 Speed 400.
    Triumph Speed T4 Vs Speed 400 MY25
Triumph Speed T4 Vs Speed 400
There are major changes in the powertrain and exhaust to set up a unique new motorcycle with Speed T4 from a Speed 400. For starters, both Triumph Speed T4 and Speed 400 share the same basic powertrain. In this sense, they both get the same 398cc DOHC 4V single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine.
However, Triumph has worked on this 400cc engine to carve out two different flavours. On Speed T4, Triumph has replaced the electronic throttle control system of Speed 400 with a manual one. Speed T4 also comes with a lower state of tune generating 30.6 bhp of peak power at 7,000 RPM and 36 Nm of peak torque at 5,000 RPM.
    Triumph Speed T4
MY25 Speed 400 continues with the previous tune of 40 bhp at 8,000 RPM and 37.5 Nm at 6,500 RPM. Both vehicles get a 6-speed gearbox, but the final drive of Speed T4 gets a O Ring chain, while Speed 400 gets an X Ring chain. Triumph has also reworked on Speed T4’s exhaust note to make it more bassy.
Other than powertrain changes, there are changes in dimensions and componentry as well. Starting with dimensions, Speed T4 is slightly wider with handlebars at 827 mm and taller without ORVMs at 1098 mm as opposed to 814 mm and 1084 mm of Speed 400, respectively. Speed T4 also has a taller seat height of 806 mm and weighs 180 kg, 4 kg heavier than Speed 400.
    Triumph MY25 Speed 400
Where componentry is concerned, the main noticeable difference is that Triumph Speed T4 gets 43mm RSU telescopic front forks, as opposed to the 43mm USD forks in gold finish on Speed 400. Another notable difference is that Speed T4 gets narrower 140-section tyres, while Speed 400 retains fatter and more premium 150-section tyres.
    Different riding characteristics
With MY25 Speed 400, Triumph is offering adjustable levers, which are absent on Speed T4. Conversely, Speed T4 gets a bassier exhaust that Speed 400 misses out on. Other features and lighting setups are shared between both bikes. With Speed T4, one can expect relaxed riding characteristics, while Speed 400 continues to be high-strung, where performance is concerned. More

2025 Honda XRE 190 ADV Debuts – Sportier Profile, New Features

2025 Honda XRE 190One of the popular dual-sport motorcycles in Brazil, the Honda XRE 190 is preferred for its agility, lightness and robust performance
After introducing the updated versions of Sahara, Tornado and Bros adventure bikes, Honda has launched the 2025 model of XRE 190 in Brazil. The bike was originally launched in 2016 and has recorded cumulative production of over 180,000 units. 2025 Honda XRE 190 will start reaching dealerships in Brazil from October onwards.
    2025 Honda XRE 190 – What’s New?
Changes to 2025 Honda XRE 190 are focused on improving safety, practicality and overall user satisfaction. The updates are based on Honda’s evolving design strategy as well as feedback and suggestions received from users. There are updates to the fairing, something similar that we have already seen with the newer Sahara 300, XR 300L Tornado and NXR 160 Bros.
    2025 Honda XRE 190
Changes can also be seen across the fuel tank, side profile, seat and tail section. The stepped seat is now larger in size, with more clearly defined rider and pillion sections. Grab rails merge towards the rear to form a flat surface that can be used to install a top case. The bike gets a new exhaust tip and has aluminium footpegs for the pillion.
There are two variants – a standard and an Adventure version. The base model has colour options of Pearlescent Red and Matte Metallic Blue. The Adventure variant gets Pearlescent Gray with exclusive graphics. 2025 Honda XRE 190 has all LED lighting for a sportier look and enhanced illumination.
    New Honda XRE 190
The digital instrument console has been updated with a high-contrast screen. It displays a range of information such as odometer, fuel level, available range and average fuel efficiency. Another key update is a USB Type C charging port, located near the instrument panel.
    Improved suspension
While much of the hardware specs are the same as earlier, the front forks now use wider 33 mm tubes instead of 31 mm tubes seen with the outgoing model.
