The standard 2021 Elantra comes with a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter inline-four with 147 horsepower that promises up to 37 mpg combined. It starts off with the $20,645 SE model and also offers the better equipped $21,895 SEL and $26,445 Limited trim levels. All offer a continuously variable automatic transmission.

The Elantra hybrid carries a $2650 premium over the conventional model, and starts off with the $24,545 SEL hybrid trim. Hyundai estimates a combined EPA fuel-economy number of 50 mpg, and the hybrid offers a combined 139 horsepower. It’s also available in Limited spec, which costs $29,095.

The Elantra N-Line (pictured at top) is the model that gets us most excited, owing to its turbocharged 1.6-liter inline-four with 201 horsepower and standard six-speed manual transmission. It starts at $25,095 and offers a dual-clutch automatic transmission for an extra $900. The manual car comes with Goodyear Eagle F1 summer tires, while the automatic car has Hankook Ventus all-season tires.

Hyundai says the 2021 Elantra will go on sale in the U.S. in the fall, meaning it should arrive at dealerships soon.
