- It looks like the Nissan Kicks will be updated for 2021 with new exterior styling.
- Nissan isn’t talking about the U.S. version yet, but the global version gives us an idea of what it will look like.
- Look for the 2021 Kicks to go on sale either late this year or early next year.
The Nissan Kicks is slated to get an update for 2021, and while Nissan hasn’t confirmed any changes for the U.S. version yet, the recently updated global version of the Kicks gives us an idea of what’s coming to our shores. This entry-level crossover arrived in America for the 2018 model year, and this marks its mid-cycle refresh, meaning it gets styling tweaks and possibly some new features.
We’re sure that the new look you see here will be the same one found on the U.S.-market 2021 Nissan Kicks that should arrive soon. It has slimmer headlights, a larger grille, and different taillights, along with a new wheel design. We expect the interior of the U.S. model will benefit from an updated infotainment screen and possibly some new trim choices.
What we likely won’t get in the U.S.—at least not yet—is Nissan’s e-Power hybrid system sold elsewhere in the world. We’ve heard that Nissan is readying this gas-electric drivetrain for America eventually, but we don’t expect to see it for a few more years, and it probably won’t make its way into the Kicks.
More details on the 2021 Kicks should be coming soon from Nissan USA, which is likely to reach dealerships either late this year or early next year. We expect its price to rise slightly from the current starting price of $20,165.
