    Maruti Suzuki eVitara Final Production-Spec VersionWhile Maruti Suzuki has taken the veil off eVitara on the stage at Auto Expo 2025, the test mules still don camouflage, trying to hide their identity. The launch is likely to be soon and eVitara seems to have entered final test phases. Let’s take a look at these new spy shots and everything they can show us.
    Maruti Suzuki eVitara Final Production-Spec
    Recent test mules spied by automotive enthusiast Anurag Kumar at NH 48 near Gurgaon, Delhi NCR, show a test mule fully draped with camouflage. Even though the launch is nearing, the amount of camouflage has not been reduced accordingly. Like every other eVitara test mule, this unit also dons temporary red registration plates.
    Maruti Suzuki eVitara Front
    Where design is concerned, Maruti Suzuki eVitara looks somewhat like an oversized S-Presso. At around 4.3m in length, this design looks proportionate and quite handsome. There are NEXTre 3-point Matrix LED DRLs, LED projector headlights, a polyhedral muscular stance and 18-inch aero wheels.
    Speaking of wheels, Maruti Suzuki might be offering the same basic wheel for both eVitara and Toyota Urban Cruiser EV, but with uniquely styled aerodynamic covers to achieve design distinction. This is a smart implementation and this particular test mules doesn’t have any aero wheel covers which will be attached in final production model.

    Specs & Features
    Rear door handles are on C Pillars and rear gets NEXTre triple-point LED tail lights that are not connected. The 2,700mm wheelbase is notable and carves out a lot of space on the inside. Speaking of inside, Maruti Suzuki eVitara gets a Twin Deck floating centre console, large infotainment screen and instrument screen, ambient lighting and ventilated seats.
    Other notable features include 10-way adjustable driver’s seat, sliding and reclining rear bench seat for a flexible boot space, 40:20:40 split seat design, a large panoramic glass roof that doesn’t open, a new 2-spoke steering wheel, Level-2 ADAS with many autonomous features, advanced telematics suite and many more.
    Maruti Suzuki eVitara Side
    Powering the eVitara, we have two battery options – 49 kWh and 61 kWh. The latter can be had with a dual motor layout for AWD capabilities that boast a total system output of 181 bhp of peak power and 300 Nm of peak torque.     Maruti eVitara Bookings Start UnofficiallyMaruti Suzuki debuted its first electric car, the eVitara, at the 2025 Auto Expo. Launch is expected soon, as competition in this space has been intensifying. Ahead of the price reveal, unofficial bookings have commenced for Maruti eVitara. After eVitara, we will also witness the launch of its Toyota counterpart, to be named Urban Cruiser EV.
    Maruti eVitara Bookings Start Unofficially
    Similar to the Grand Vitara, the eVitara could have three variants on offer – Delta, Zeta and Alpha. The base variant could get a 49-kWh battery pack, whereas higher variants will be equipped with a 61-kWh battery pack. Claimed range with the larger battery pack is 500 km. The battery packs are optimized for performance and also designed for enhanced safety.

    eVitara’s high-capacity battery pack comprises 120 lithium-ion based cells. These have been tested to perform reliably in even extreme temperatures of -30°C to 60°C. eVitara’s battery packs are equipped with an advanced thermal management system that includes a low-ion coolant.
    Specialized battery mounting structures with robust shock-absorbing features have been used to ensure that eVitara can handle the stresses of real-world conditions. The battery pack has passed several extreme tests such as nail penetration, water submergence (IP67) and compression. These tests ensure a safe driving experience. Maruti eVitara has driving modes of Eco, Normal and Sport.

    There’s a Snow Mode as well for safely negotiating across snow or slippery conditions. However, eVitara will be available only in a 2WD configuration. AWD option may not be available for the Indian market. An advanced regen system is installed to increase real-world range. For efficient and hassle-free driving in heavy traffic, the eVitara has a One Pedal drive feature.
    Advanced aerodynamics to improve efficiency, performance
    Maruti eVitara features smooth curves and contours designed to reduce air drag. The R18 aerodynamic alloy wheels, smart grille with adaptive shutters, underbody cover and roof end spoiler improve aerodynamics. The dynamic and fluidic design ensures enhanced performance and range.

    This aerodynamic approach to eVitara’s design also ensures an elegant profile for the SUV. Overall look and feel are further enhanced with a futuristic front fascia and distinctive 3-point matrix LED DRLs and tail lights. eVitara has dual-tone interiors with premium soft-touch materials. Some of the key highlights include vertically stacked AC vents with chrome garnish, twin deck floating centre console, ambient lighting and a fixed glass sunroof.
    eVitara has a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch multi-information display, front ventilated seats, a wireless charger and a premium sound system by Harman. Maruti Suzuki is offering ADAS Level 2 with the eVitara. It includes features such as blind spot monitoring, lane keep assist, adaptive high beam system, rear cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control.
    Maruti Suzuki eVitara Interiors
    Standard safety features include 7 airbags, an electronic parking brake, all-wheel disc brakes, 360° view cameras and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Maruti eVitara will be sold via the premium NEXA dealerships. It could be launched at a starting price of around Rs 15 lakh. More

    New Details On Maruti eVitara
    This is the first time Maruti Suzuki has attempted an electric vehicle. eVitara will be made exclusively in India at the company’s Gujarat plant and will be exported to key markets like Japan and Europe, among others. When launched in India, it will be sold via the company’s Nexa outlets as Maruti Suzuki’s flagship electric SUV.

    As per the Nexa website, the tagline for eVitara is “Spark Your eMagination”. It is positioned on a new Pure Electric platform, equipped with a rather sizeable 61 kWh battery pack promising a 500 km range on a single charge. The smaller 49 kWh battery pack is also likely to be offered in India to strike an attractive base price.

    Design-wise, we get a futuristic front fascia with NEXTre 3-point Matrix LED DRLs and rear lamps, R18 Aerodynamic alloys, a polyhedral muscular stance and a sculpted 3D appearance. There’s active air vents at the front too. The panoramic sunroof is fixed and is not openable, unlike what the company offers with Grand Vitara.

    Colour options include Nexa Blue, Grandeur Grey, Splendid Silver, Arctic White, Opulent Red and Bluish Black single-tone colours. Dual-tone colour options include Splendid Silver, Opulent Red, Arctic White and Land Breeze Green with Bluish Black roof. Dimensions-wise, eVitara measures 4,275 mm long, 1,800 mm wide, and 1,635 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm and ground clearance of 180 mm.

    On the inside, the new details on Maruti eVitara reveal that it will come equipped with a panoramic glass roof, ambient lighting with multi-colour illumination, a 10.25-inch multi-information display, Twindeck floating centre console with shift-by-wire, a digital cockpit, a wireless charging pad and more.

    Both front seats are ventilated and driver’s seat is 10-way electrically adjustable. Rear seat bench gets a European-style 40:20:40 split function that can be modified according to one’s needs.
